Hey all! Liang here. I'd like to apologize for my recent absence having been involved in a DE as part of the invasion saga. I feel I should offer my reasoning behind it.
As most of you know i've held the same job since February of this year. A few months ago it had switched to three twelve hour shifts a week and whatnot. I was offered health insurance when I was first hired, which I declined but stated I may need it later, as for the time being I already was under a better plan with my family that had much better coverage and charges for co-pays for visits and it covered plenty of prescriptions. About halfway through my time working at the job, I was cut off from my family's insurance for reasons still unexplained, and despite my requests I was never offered my job's insurance again. I came down with a stomach flu and couldn't afford going to the emergency room or doctor with how little I made, so I had to deal with it myself and couldn't obtain a doctor's note. On top of that, my boss had gone out of state for family reasons, leaving a team lead in charge that from day one had talked down to me and bossed me around, despite me holding several months of seniority over her. I knew what was going on when she had her son in law hired in; she was going to bring him to our shift and replace me. With my boss gone, she was left in charge, and less than an hour into my shift the day I came back, she practically hunted me down and let me go.
So being that i'm going back to school this coming spring, i've been freaking out job hunting and trying to find a job I can use to cover my book expenses for my courses. Sorry that I went poof, I should have said something the day of. I'm back now though, and what with the holiday season right around the corner, i'm sure i'll find something soon!
