Born to Rebbec and Lucious, Saaraqun has spent the majority of her life in the Eastern Lands. Born to the simple family, her younger years were what many might consider normal for the average girl born on Earth. Living on the small farmstead that her family owned near the edge of the Bamboo Forest she learned the tools of her family trade, harvesting crops and tending to animals as was her duty. Rarely did the outside world bother them. Thinking herself a completely normal human girl, like the few friends she possessed, Saara was not made aware of her warrior heritage until the age of ten.
For the most part the creatures of the forest had left them alone or at least to Saaraqun’s knowledge they had. The truth was that her father spent time each night patrolling the edge of the forest to make sure that no monsters wandered too close to their home. As her lifespan stretched past her 10th birthday the beginnings of adolescent curiosity lead her to find out what exactly her father did at night. Until then she had been told he was checking on the animals and such, but what she saw when sneaking along behind him was that her father could fight. Her father had of course expected this to happen at some point so instead of reprimanding her for following him, he decided it was time to educate her in the ways of combat.
Over the next decade Saaraqun was taught how to fight, shown how to utilize her Ki for the foundations that her father promised would propel her down the path of the capable warrior. As her father aged and she grew stronger, the duty of protecting their home gradually became hers. On her twentieth birthday Lucious gifted her the staff that he had long ago chosen as his weapon of choice. The bladed weapon known as New Dawn or Dawn for short if you ask Saaraqun, quickly became the first love of her life. Perfectly balance and in short order becoming an extension of her body, Saara was able to defend the farm as efficiently as her father ever had. For four solid years she spent almost half of her waking hours in the Bamboo Forest, even seeking out monsters in order to test her skills instead of waiting for them to come to her. While there were a few close calls, she always managed to make it back to the farm...even if sporting a number of new injuries.
When she wasn't off fighting creatures of the wild, she was constantly requesting that her father spar with her. Even with their age difference their time fighting one another challenged them both, his experience and knowledge allowing him to go toe to toe with her youthful energy and strength. Gerard got to spend time with his daughter, quality time that was not working on the farm and she got to evolve as a martial artist. For the longest time she felt there was no better way to live than full filling her duty to her family and working hard.
This simple life of protecting her family and farm was not meant to last thought. Both of her parents having been in their late thirties when she had been born, were now growing old and looking to spend the rest of their days relaxing instead of working. That meant, the farm was to be sold so that they could tour the world. At first Saaraqun had been disheartened by the news, but that was only until her father suggested a different path for the young woman. Instead of coming with them he suggested she explore on her own. He promised that with her skill set and outgoing personality, she would find the world full of opportunities. Always trusting in her parents, she chosen to venture out into the world and see what surprises it might hold.
If only she had known what she was walking into.

[N1]Crescent Wave - Channeling energy through New Dawn, Saaraqun is able to unleash an arc of energy from the bladed ends of the staff. Although they launch from the blades of the weapon, they possess no cutting power and detonate on contact like many other Ki blasts. This technique is usable no matter which form her weapon is in.

[SU]Flight – Saaraqun is able to manipulate her Ki in order to take to the air. This can be in the form of propelled flight or simple hover depending on her preference.
[SU]Ki Sensing – Taught to sense the energy of others by her father, Saaraqun is able to feel and pinpoint Ki signatures.

New Dawn(weapon) – New Dawn is the multi-stage weapon that Saaraqun was given by her father. Normally in the shape of a bladed staff, the weapon is capable of separating into a three part weapon called a sansetsukon. With all three parts connected by a chain hidden within the staff, this form allows for a shift in her fighting style. Rather attached to the weapon, Saara often refers to it as “Dawn.”
