(Thread PL: 54,515. Hasn’t been added, but the grades exist.)
Raisu trudged up the mountain side, his leg muscles burning as he walked. The air was cooler up here than it had been at the base of the mountains. It had been quite the hike up. He’d crawled up the gravelly, well worn trails with caution. One wrong step, and it would have sent him sliding back down. Not that it mattered, of course. He could fly. If he’d wanted to, he could very easily circumvent this whole trip. But he did want to. He took a certain enjoyment in climbing the mountain side. There was just something about the clean mountain air that he couldn’t get enough of. He’d first breathed it when he was in Lucia, and now again as he hiked.
What might he find on the mountain trail today? Caves, other wanderers? Perhaps. Only one way to tell, and that was to keep climbing. Raisu had heard tales of those folks who called the mountains home. Hard people for a hard place. Not like the folks in Lucia. Not to say they weren’t hardy in their own right. They most certainly were. Being hardy and being escaped slaves often went hand in hand. They’d made the most of a bad situation. Raisu had been incredibly impressed as he walked among the town.
But those who made lived their lives up here alone were a different kind of breed. It took a certain kind of mental fortitude. The kind Raisu wasn’t sure he had. Yes, he loved the mountains and climbing through them, but could he isolate himself like this? Probably not. If he were to settle down, it’d have to be with other people. None of the lone hermit stuff for him.
Raisu came to a break in the trail. Wiping his brow, he sat on a rock. Quickly, he pulled the bag from his back and retrieved a water bottle from it. The plastic was cool to the touch, and water had begun to condensate along the outside. He unscrewed the cap and took a sip: it was still cool. Refreshing really. Just what he needed in that moment. Perhaps he could stop for a meal. It was getting to be that time of the day. His stomach growled in confirmation. Well, he figured, it wouldn’t hurt to stop for awhile. It was not as if he was pressed for time, or anything of the sort. He was out here for leisure, and nothing more.
Raisu pulled the dried meat from his bag as well, and began to eat. The salted food fell into his stomach, bite by bite, sating his hunger. He sat up on the rocks, watching the mountain clouds float on by. It felt good to just watch the world roll by. No need to hide his power or anything. Just the clouds and him. And his food of course. He was alone. Or at least for now.

-It was a nice day, no extreme weather at the moment, just a cool breeze for the moment. In a cave near the summit of the mountain lied the Saiyan known as Tomare. This was her home on Earth, simple but was a bit more than just your average cave. The cave contained a bed, small cooler and various other things given to her hy a friend.. one she has met only once. She laid on the bed, covered with a blanket made of various furs she had skinned off of the animals she hunts for food.
The Saiyan would yawn before slowly sitting herself up un her bed. This was her usual routine... she would slowly rise to her feet and would do her daily stretches, then her fist would connect with the wall. This was an odd part of her routine she could not explain why or how it begun. The next part was.. odd. The Saiyan would casually strip into the nude before walking out into the cool, open air of the mountains. She would take in a deep breath before she began to air box, sending a series of punches and kicks into the air as fast as she can.

Raisu finished his meal, brushing any crumbs from his clothes. That hit the spot, he thought. He stood, stretching as he did. Not bad at all. He could get used to eating like this. Fresh air and open skies abound. Maybe he'd head back to Lucia and bum around for a few weeks, just taking in the mountainside. But that was a thought for another time. He had a hike to finish. Not that he knew where he was going, besides up. But he'd find his way soon enough.
As he continued to walk, his mind brushed against something: a ki signature. A big one, too. Nearly as large as Raisu's own. Interesting, he thought. That settled that. He had a clear destination in mind, and he knew where to head. He changed his course up the mountain, straying from the beaten path. Whoever this was lived out of the way, that was for sure. But Raisu drew ever closer. He'd be glad for the company. Those with large ki signatures often made for the most entertaining times.
He had finally closed in on the ki signature, but where was it exactly? There were signs of life all around, but he found it hard to pinpoint it exactly where the source was. He sighed, and lifted his hands to his mouth.
"Hello," he shouted cupping his mouth, "Anyone here?"
He listened to the mountain winds as he waited for a reply. Hopefully one would come, and he hadn't scared off whoever was radiating such power.

-The Saiyan would continue her air boxing until she felt satisfied with herself. And she soon was satisfied, but her daily training wasnt over quite yet. Now she would slowly lower herself to the snow covered ground to sit indian-style. Now her tail would firmly wrap around her waist before she began to take handful after handful of snow and covered her body in snow. But she would not completely cover herself, only her chest, head and arms were visible.
She would sigh before she heard a shout from someone off in the distance. This had her wondering who it was... Jarvis coming to see her? Nah. She ruled this out quickly as he would already be here by now. So who was it? She would soon shout out a reply to the mysterious stranger- I am over here! Just come over here!

A shout in the distance. A woman's voice. Over there? Raisu followed the sound of the voice, letting it guide him through the rocks. Were they busy? Raisu certainly hoped he wasn't disturbing anybody. He'd gotten in the way of folks before, and rarely was it a pleasant experience. But there was only one way to find out, and that was to find the source of the voice.
And then he found it. He came into the clearing, expecting anything else but what he'd found. Of course, he had expected to find them in the middle of some kind of training. That much was to be expected when one was dealing with those kind of ki levels. But, he certainly did not expect this.
A woman, burying herself in snow. A bare woman, to be exact. Raisu stopped and stared for a moment, his mind trying to process just what was going on. She was in the snow? And...
Nevermind that train of thought. Raisu blushed, his face turning a light shade of pink. Much lighter than his hair, but noticeable enough. What do you say in a situation like this, he asked himself.
"Uh, I'm not bothering you am I?"
Smooth, he told himself. Real smooth.

-Tomare would raise a brow as the other appears over the horizon.. a male, with red hair. This answered her question of who it was shouting at a distance. One of her hands would come out of the snow to wave at the other, a gentle smile across her pale lips. She would seem very nice and she was nice. Something rare in the Saiyan population.
She would notice the light pink on his cheeks and would lightly chuckle, soon giving an answer to his question.- No, youre not bothering me at all. Im just doing my daily training. Just so you know, my name is Tomare. Im also known as the Mystic Tail.. -Suddenly her tail appears from the snow, while swaying lightly-

So, her name was Tomare. And apparently Mystic Tail as well. Raisu raised his eyebrows in surprise as a tail popped from the snow, like some kind of fuzzy jack-in-the-box. So that made her a Saiyan. Not exactly what he'd expected to find up here in the mountains, but life was full of surprises. She seemed awfully gentle for a Saiyan. But, once again, life is full of surprises and he would do well not to apply sterotypes to individuals. He'd already met a Saiyan who was different from the typical picture painted of the.
"Training, eh?" He said. "Interesting training."
He'd heard of odd routines, but never anything quite like this. Whatever works, he figured. He'd done some unorthodox things to train before. And he had gotten results. Who was he to judge what other folks did to train? The women's ki kignautre was rather large. She obviously knew what she was doing. Hell, if it really worked, maybe he'd have to try it someday. Anything to advance.
"You do this a lot?"

-The Saiyan would let out a small breath, looking up at the other with a calm expression on her face. She would nod once in agreement with him saying that her training was 'Interesting' and it was. Not many other people do THAT kind of training. Sitting naked in snow... it works well though. Another nod came from her to answer his question- Yes I do. This is apart of my daily traning routine. It works well.. increases durability and such.

"I imagine it does."
He said to her. It couldn't be easy, doing that to your body. Raisu considered himself quite the resistant guy, and even he balked at the idea of covering himself in snow. A punch from a powerful android might not make him flinch, but the idea of cold, wet snow all over him did. At least a little. But, he couldn't knock it until he tried it. The Saiyan women, Tomare, certainly thought it worked.
He continued to look at her, despite the redness in his face. Not what he imagined mountain folks to look like. He'd imagined more hair. That goes to show: stereotypes don't do anyone any favors.
"You ever get bored up here?"
She had to. Not like there was much to do besides train.

It works miracles stranger. You should try it sometime.. I can teachh you my technique if you would like. I wouldnt mind to teach someone.. -The Saiyans tail slides into position around her waist. She would scratch her head lightli before answering his question.- No. I honestly dont get bored here.. I actually love it here. Its been my home for many months now..

"At least you like it," said Raisu.
And Raisu considered her offer for a moment. Never a wrong time to learn he figured. 'You should strive to learn something new each day'. That is what he'd been a told. A good philosophy. Of course, he'd heard it from his old teacher, Tsu Kini. Mostly everything he'd learned from her had been good. He was too scared of the old woman to disagree with her. Strange to think she'd once put such fear in his heart, and still did. He outclassed her in just about everything now.
"Yeah, I'd love to learn what you have to teach. Don't really have any routines myself."

-Tomare would nod once in agreement to his first statement. She realy did love it here.. it was really entertaining and peaceful. She had moved here to train and it has shown great results so she stayed here. Anyway, her eyes locked sight with his before she replied to his statement about teaching him- Thats the spirit! Ill begin with what I am doing now.. I have obviously gotten naked and have covered myself with snow. This helps you master your ki and strengthen your body. It works best while completly naked but being only in underwear works fine.

Raisu did as commanded, shedding his clothes but retaining the underwear. No need to go that far. Training, he reminded himself. The cold mountain air turned his skin to gooseflesh and set his teeth the chattering, but it wasn't so bad. It could be much worse. Like, he could be freezing in the vacuum of space. Generally, that would be worse all around. He couldn't breath in the dead of space. Compared to that, this was downright peachey.
He stood there, trying to shake off the cold. Don't show weakness, he chided himself. So, he straightened up and looked at her.
"What next?" He asked, grinning through the cold.

-By the way he was shivering, she knew it wouldnt be easy on him but it was like that for her too. She would scan his body for a moment before telling him the next step- Now, sit yourself infront or beside me with your legs crossed (Indian-style) and begin to cover your legs, lap, and arms in snow. Then.. just wait it out. Ill tell you when you can get up. That wont be for awhile..

Raisu did as she said. He took to the cold ground, keeping his breathes measured. Take it an inch at a time, he told himself. A shock went up his skin, the cold feeling like a creeping ice up his spine. But slowly, he worked through the cold and crossed his legs. There he sat like a statue, letting himself fight the cold. From the sounds of it, Tomare intended that he'd be here for quite a while. Certainly not what he expected to be doing today. Far from it, in fact. He thought that he might be up the mountain by now, taking in the view. But it was not to be. Instead, he was here. Freezing, half naked. But hey, it was training. It would all be worth it in the end. Hopefully, he'd make some progress.
It was almost peaceful, in a way. Just giving himself over to nature. It was like floating down a river. Except stationary. And cold. But, perhaps he really would be stronger for it.
"Whatever you say, oh master," he said with a slight grin, trying to distract his mind from the cold.
