[Continuation/Branch of 'The Earth Shivers'] In spite of the situation Habana held herself loose even while facing down the sword wielding woman, while the events going on were quite serious Habana felt it better to not let the goings on of the other battles effect her, she wanted to enjoy a fight with someone that was roughly equal with her in terms of power, she couldn't let things like the power begin wielded by Kaula and the white haired man worry her because frankly there was little she could do about them, Zucceta was a super saiyan and even if by some miracle they possessed enough power to rival Zucceta in her ascended state Habana had to believe that Zucceta had something ready for this, some plan to ensure her victory. Zucceta was clever, very clever, probably the most clever person Habana knew, she always had some way of achieving her goals no matter what and always seemed to be prepared for any outcome and with something as grand of a scale as attacking Earth surely the Queen was ready for the possibility of facing two warriors strong enough to rival her current power?
“Yeah, personally I'm not a big fan of this whole thing either. But Zucc's an old friend and on top of that shes the Queen, I'm not usually a 'follow the rules' type but Zucc's one of the few people I'm willing to take an order from so here I am. “ Habana said nodding as the woman admitted that while she enjoyed the prospect of a good fight she was most certainly not fond of the way in which it had been brought to her “Lucky us I don't 'have' to go for the kill either, and I'm of the mindset that it would be better to keep strong people around, always good to have someone who can push you in a fight. So the whole 'surrender if you want' thing goes the same for you. Honestly though I'm not the surrendering type, I'm going to give my all and see where that takes me” Habana said giving Maeve a grin.
Habana became a bit more serious as she felt Maeve's energy beginning to fluctuate, preparation launching an attack perhaps or perhaps just as likely emotion causing a pulse of furious power. Habana almost frowned as the woman declared that she would not let her harm the 'first people to ever accept me for me' THAT was something Habana could respect, it was also something Habana wanted above all else, and part of why she was so willing to join this battle, the people she knew that accepted her for who she was and did not put her down for being a hybrid were apart of this war, with one of the first to truly accept her leading it. How could she not?
Habana felt the hairs bristle on the back of her neck as she heard Zucceta's voice begin to grow louder and louder, similar to when a saiyan initiated the Oozaru transformation, but Habana could not understand WHY, why would Zucceta choose to let herself transform into an Oozaru when the power of a super saiyan was superior? Then Habana felt it, the flare of power as Zuccceta's transformation continued, she tilted her head to one side to see what was going on and when she did so she saw it, the great golden behemoth that was the Queen. Habana was at an absolute loss for words upon seeing Zucceta in that state, the power radiating from Zucceta was almost oppressive and focusing too hard on her was almost painful to Habana. She was also quite thankful she had not initiated her scouters power reading function as almost certainly the device would have overloaded from the strain.
Habana's attention snapped away from Zucceta as she felt a sudden surge of power that while it paled in comparison to the Queen was far closer and focused, the fact that it was swiftly followed by a furious shout also did quite a bit to help garner Habana's attention, the woman, or rather demon if her earlier claim was in fact true, a fact that Habana was actually not entirely willing to discount considering how 'off' her power felt, was now charging at her sword ready, it took just a moment for the demoness to reach Habana and stab at her with her blade, with so little time Habana had only one 'guaranteed' method of fending off the attack, she reached out with her energy coated hand and physically re-positioned the blade as it came at her by punching it using the power of her Kinetic Strike to send the blade off course from impaling her gut and instead causing a grazing cut across her side eliciting a hiss of pain from Habana.
Rarely did Habana announce her attacks, only the highest level of her Kinetic Strike was something that seemed to draw her into announcing its name, everything else she used either was not a directly offensive move, or was far more basic, but of course that didn't mean she COULDN'T name those attacks “FACE PUNCH” Habana shouted a moment after allowing herself to recoil from the Thunder Thrust, and true to her words Habana would cock back her arm and take a swing aiming a punch directly at the Demoness' face. Habana would then attempt to follow that up with a tackle and an attempt to shove Maeve as far away from the battle featuring the giant golden ape as possible, her intention was far less a noble attempt to protect her enemy and far more a disinterest in having there fight ended prematurely by the foot of a 'Super Oozaru'

Maeve watched with wide eyes as the woman's palm exploded with enough force to forcefully redirect her high velocity attack. She struggled to keep her blade true but the sudden force cut her attack to the side, letting Fateburn only graze her foe. "Not bad!" The dragoness seethed, baring her fanged teeth as she kept her gaze steadily locked on the invader. This woman was strong, Maeve had to give her that. She was easily twice as strong as Lady Rime was in what she called her 'suppressed form' and she, other than the ferocious unbelievably powerful Kaula or the incredibly skilled Liang, was one of Maeve's toughest foes to defeat. Though Maeve had grown stronger since those battles...Much stronger! If this saiyaness thought that her first strike was painful (and given the low hiss Maeve was quite confident that she did) she was in for a world of hurt. So when her attack missed it's mark Maeve wouldn't hesitate jump back, creating a slight gap between them, so she could prepare for a follow up attack or defend against any counter the woman might have come up with. What the saiyan did was certainly unexpected to say the least. She whipped back, clenched her fist and literally called out her attack before throwing it. It wasn't a technique name like Thunder Thrust she basically projected: 'Hey! I'm gonna deck you in the face.' So, like anyone else would, Maeve weaved out of the way of her first well before it could land. She paused, still awestruck at how silly and thoughtless her actions were. She had to clarify that what had just happened actually happened. "Really? You're really going to proj-OOF!" She was cut off by the saiyeness' running tackle. She tried to hold her ground while she attempted to find purchase for her feet, her claws digging into her armored boots, but slid back from the icy concrete. She should have dodged such a simple tackle but not only was she caught off guard but she felt increasingly sluggish in the frigid weather. With her cool blood refusing to pump through her veins she was a big target. She had to keep her energy flowing or had to keep moving her body to counteract the colds icy grasp on her form. She couldn't just 'wait and see' as she normally did. This was going to be tough. As she struggled to keep her footing she heard the familiar voice of Bing echo through her mind. He was looking out for her it seemed, any other time she would have blushed and rebuked his worried message but given the dire circumstances that surrounded them she was willing to be a bit more honest with her feelings. She closed her eyes as she tried to respond not sure if he'd be able to hear her or not. "I'll try my best...But don't worry about me! You need to make sure you stay alive! Keep Kaula safe too, we have unfinished business and she sure as hell isn't getting out of it by dying! That'd just piss me off! Be safe though...We...The Earth needs you." She thought unsure if it'd reach him or not only to open her eyes and glare at the saiyaness. In a few moments Maeve's form would start dissipating before she faded into nothing at all. Her power would linger in the air for a moment before Habana would be able to pin point it a few feet in front of her, Maeve's form 'blinking' into existence a few seconds later. She exhaled, her icy breath forming a light cloud in front of her face before she charged energy around herself, keeping her blood warm for a few precious seconds. "I think that's far enough." She finally said pointing her blade at Habana defiantly. Her expression softened lightly as she looked over the woman, thinking of what she said earlier. "...You said you'd be willing to accept surrender? That's admirable, especially considering your queen ordered you and your comrades to slaughter any resistance...I know your queen might be a friend but surely you see the madness in all of this." She shook her head softly, ruby bangs swaying in the chilled wind. "I suppose even if you did it wouldn't matter, as you said, you're not the type to quit." She shifted into her stance once more, her aura spiking around her form. "We're a lot alike, I can tell. Fiercely loyal, honorable, and determined to a fault... So I'm sure you realize...I'm not the 'surrendering' type either." Maeve's golden eyes glistened with a tenacious spark as her blade was once again engulfed in the mystical purgatory flame, the swordswoman of fire was ready for another round. "So come forth! I, Maeve Rakshasa The Swordswoman of Fire, shall be your opponent!"

Habana cursed inwardly as Maeve pulled back from her seemingly on instinct upon her attack being -mostly- nullified, the attack had by no means been completely mitigated, the cut across her side certainly attested to that fact but it was by far MUCH better than actually getting run through by that monster of a blade that the demoness was wielding, regardless Habana followed through with her plan of attack, cocking back her arm in the most obvious ways and declaring her exact intention of where she planned to drive her fist, the whole thing was intended to be as obvious as possible because Habana was actually hoping that the sheer audacity of such an obvious attack would catch Maeve off guard, or perhaps she would over analyze the situation expecting some sort of alternate attack and then end up getting hit regardless from the time she would have to take doing so.
To Habana's great amusement her method of attack most certainly DID catch Maeve off guard, so much so that just after the attack missed the demoness seemed to grow a bit indignant about what she had done completely awestruck by the ridiculousness of the attack she began to speak up clearly intending to demand an explanation on what Habana had been expecting to accomplish with such an obvious attack, the only response she would receive however would be Habana's shoulder driven into her armor as she began to drive the demoness away from the increasingly volatile battle occurring in the backdrop.
Habana wanted absolutely no part in being close to that battle, she trusted Zucceta to, under normal circumstances, avoid causing direct harm to any of her allies such as herself, but right now Zucceta was encroaching on the size of the ship that had brought them here and Habana had no idea of Zucceta would be able to maintain a clear mind under the effects of both the power of a super saiyan and an Oozaru, from what Habana knew BOTH forms brought out more aggression in a saiyan, the Oozaru even going so far as to drive untrained Saiyans into a berzerker state willing to destroy anything in there path.
She knew Zucceta certainly had control of the -basic- Oozaru state, it required power and a willingness to control the beast within, but what if this new form was no so easily tamed? As Habana drove Maeve further and further away from the battle the demoness planting her feet as firmly as she could resulting in a frustrating loss in overall ground covered by Habana she suddenly began to feel a lot less heavy.. and then a lot less solid... and then a lot less THERE. The power of the demoness lingered briefly before vanishing entirely, appearing a few feet ahead of Habana.
Habana stumbled slightly at the sudden loss of a counterweight rolling forward briefly growing dangerously close to the demoness while mostly incapable of proper defense before suddenly springing backwards once again creating a bit of distance between them, Maeve declared that this was 'far enough' and with a turn of her head to see where they were in relation to the battle Habana conceded that this was -probably- good enough, though she had to wonder if that was even what Maeve was talking about or if the demoness was merely declaring that she was done with being moved around by Habana.
“Zucc's not exactly the type to let the 'enemy' know something like that, she like sto strike fear into the hearts and minds of those she fights. I'm not so sure she'd accept surrender from the two she's fighting right now, but she's usually willing to see sense, killing everyone who fighting to protect the planet wouldn't be any good, we're gonna lose people too so she'll probably offer anyone with reasonable strength a chance to join the Empire” Habana said rolling her shoulders, at least she HOPED that Zucceta would do that, it was the smart course of action after all. “I wouldn't want it any other way” Habana said giving Maeve a grin as the woman said that they were quite alike listing the things she believed they held in common and then stating that she too was not the type to surrender and with that her blade began to glow once more seemingly wreathed in flames she appeared to be preparing for another attack like the 'Lightning Lunge'
But this time Habana had no need to stand back and try to hold Maeve off from trying to attack Zucceta, she could simply take to the offensive and make an attack that might hopefully hinder Maeve's plans, with a surge of energy Habana would rush forward at Maeve fists clenched and ready for battle, once the distance between them was close Habana would come at her with everything she had throwing a flurry of punches and kicks at Maeve trying to land a good strike anywhere that she could focusing her efforts on the reptilian demon's midsection and face.

Maeve watched as the saiyaness lunged forward. Her eyes narrowed as she kept up her burning blade up, it's energy pooling still as she tried weaving out of the way of the first few punches thrown her way. "You're not bad! You're fast, and I can feel the force even when I dodge!" Maeve remarked, clearly impressed at the woman's fierce flurry. The first kick came as a surprise to her though. Her eyes opened wide as the woman's foot slammed against her chest before she could even react. She coughed hoarsely, an icy cloud escaping her maw as the breath was forced from her lungs. The sound of rattling metal rang through the air as Maeve stumbled back from the impact. Her armored boots slid against the icy ground as she tried to desperately keep their footing only to have her body suddenly violently twist and be knocked aside fully by the force of another kick slamming into the side of her face. "GAHH!" Her voice shrieked out in pain as her body recoiled from the impact. She tried to recover only to feel yet another kick slam into the opposite side of her face crashing her against the cement wall of a nearby building. She could feel the wall cracking behind her from the force of the slam. She held herself against the wall for a moment, taking said moment to steady her vision and her feet. Her mouth curled into a low snarl as she focused. She spat to the side lightly in her frustration, a twinge of red highlighting the glob. "Alright then..." She growled, baring her teeth as she quickly righted her stance. She cut her blade to the side, the flames of purgatory continuing to lick across the cold steel of her demonic weapon. Her charge had went undeterred despite Habana's efforts. In fact, the flames seemed to burn brighter and hotter with her pain. "I can't believe... I let...Myself get hit!" She snapped to herself, furious at her lacking abilities. "You're really fast... This might take a bit more force..." She concluded, rubbing her cheek and lip with her free hand as if to check for blood. It seemed the warrior wasn't as foolish as she anticipated after the whole 'face punch' scenario. She had a good grasp on how to really fight it seemed. That was fine with Maeve, she relished the challenge. The demoness closed her eyes slowly as she took a quick second to sharpen her resolve. She turned to face Habana fully with her head bowed lightly and her eyes closed. "You managed to repel my Thunder Thrust... That was impressive, but honestly the attack is a simple one... After all it was an expansion of a mortal boy's technique." She admitted, a hint of pride slipping into her tone as she mentioned said boy. She opened her eyes and glared down at Habana soon after. The saiyn half-breed would definitely be able to pick up on something dangerous flickering the demoness' golden eyes in that moment. "Lets see if you can redirect this! A truly demonic skill!" She roared quickly moving towards the half breed. With one loud stomp she managed to step into range to unleash her charged skill upon Habana. She exhaled slowly, her aura ripping around her form as once again the flames dispersed and mixed with her energy, adding to it. Her aura peaked as she suddenly slashed her blade ahead cutting towards the woman with a fierce cleave. "Take this! Chaotic Rebellion Star!" True to it's name: the Chaotic Rebellion Star was a sudden, confusing and nearly blinding blitz of steel and chaos. Her massive blade would cut through the air and lash out against Habana five times in seemingly random arcs. If one were to look closely however, they'd see that each slash 'linked' with the former and used the momentum to not only cut faster and harder but to guide it and connect to each former slash in the seemingly random barrage. Just as soon as the flurry of blades was unleashed it would stop leaving a moment of dead air between the two warriors. Regardless of whether or not the blade made it's mark(s) Maeve would jump back to create a bit more distance between them once more. Judging from the dragon swordswoman's movements: it seemed that she was disciplined enough to know to be weary of a counter attack regardless of the fight's momentum. Maeve knew an arrogant slip or a foolish mistake could be costly. Fighting was a delicate balance of pressure and distance, one needed to control both to claim victory. She just hoped her strategy and her technique would pay off. The saiyan elite she faced in the past was far from an ordinary fight for her and this woman was more than capable as well! So she had no idea what to expect... It was quite thrilling! Despite the circumstance.

Habana smirked as Maeve complimented her skill, it was pleasant even if via an opponent, when someone stated that she fought well, the fact that there appeared to be no sarcasm in her tone or anything else to indicate that Maeve was being anything other than truthful made it all the better, that of course did nothing to make Habana hold back against the demoness and before she could make any response her first blow landed driving a hard strike to the woman's chest, Habana then followed up with yet another harsh blow driven into Maeve's head, and then just before Maeve had a chance to properly recuperate Habana landed her last blow another strike delivered to her skull that would send her tumbling into the side of a building. Three solid blows, two to the head, were possibly enough to take down a lesser opponent but Habana felt there was a very good chance that it would not be enough to take down Maeve.
Habana would stand back rolling her shoulders as Maeve collected herself, if she wanted she could have perhaps dove in and kept on her but that would have either A) ended the fight far faster than Habana was particularly interested in, or B) lead to Maeve delivering some sort of surprise attack if she was more prepared than Habana expected and with that huge blade Habana was a bit wary on letting Maeve get any solid hits on her.
“You're not so bad yourself, not a lot of people could get back up that quick after taking two blows to the head that hard, doesn't even look like I drew blood, so bring on everything you've got” Habana said crouching a bit lower as Maeve claimed that this 'might take a bit more force' Habana warily eyed Maeve as she prepared for her next attack, not knowing what Maeve was capable of meant that she needed to be a bit mor cautious about how she approached attacking her, Maeve closed her eyes and then began to speak once more stating that the technique she had used was a 'simple' one, which in truth it was, powerful yes, but fairly simple, mostly just 'stab forward REALLY REALLY FAST' simple in execution, but probably QUITE effective.
Then Habana noticed a dangerous edge in Maeve's eyes just before she challenged her to redirect her next attack, she pushed off and charge full bore at Habana the flames wreathing her blade seeming to disperse as they mingled with Maeve's own energy but the most important thing was the concentration of the energy, it all felt focused still on the blade and it was quite a lot of energy at that about as much as her Thunder Thrust, the problem was that Habana had only barely managed to deflect that and evens till had taken a not insignificant blow from it and that had been with a bit of time to pump up her Kinetic Strike.
'Gonna need to bust out the big gun for this one...' Habana thought to herself somewhat disappointing that she would need to break out the highest level of her Kinetic Strike in order to defend herself but in truth it was really her best bet right now, with a heavy breath Habana's aura would begin to flare up as the first part of the Chaotic Rebellion Star came in at her, if Maeve was capable of reading energy she would feel a very sudden and abrupt shift in Habana's flow of energy as it all seemed to begin flowing into her right arm, raising the arm high to block the first blow, just before Maeve's blade would clash with Habana's arm the entire limb in question would erupt with violet energy much as her fist had before seeming to absorb the impact of the first blow, Habana would continue this pattern for each of the arcs of the Chaotic Rebellion Star her expression briefly tightening each time the blade made impact with her arm, no matter how much energy she poured into the limb to protect it the force of Maeve's strikes still managed to bleed over a bit of pain.
Once the Star was complete Maeve would hop back, Habana too focused on her next action to see how the demoness would react to her chosen method of defense, the power in her arm had been dulled significanttly in Habana's efforts to protect herself but there was still enough to cause a bit of damage and so following up Maeve's escape Habana would push herself forward unleashing a roar of her own as she sought to drive her still glowing arm into the armored chest of her opponent “KINETIC BREAKER” Habana would should just before delivering the blow the energy from around her arm slowly condensing onto her fist to make as much use of what remained of it's power.

Maeve's eyes widened in awe as she looked to the proud saiyan warrior standing triumphantly before her. She had countered every attack! Her signature move was...Just a joke to her! Even while charged with the flames of purgatory! How did she do it? She smacked away her blade as if it were nothing! She knew she was agile and she was strong but...To that extent?! How was that possible?! She tried to recall what she had just seen, to formulate a potential counter strategy to what seemed to be an almost impenetrable defense. Maeve realized in that split second that the saiyaness must have been focusing her ki to certain point (in this case her arms) like she did whenever she used the Thunder Thrust or her Demon Skull beheading. Maeve's contemplating thoughts were suddenly interrupted when Habana's bloodthirsty roar ripped through the air however. Maeve could only watch as Habana made her approach in a mad dash. She tried to take a step back and prepare a defense but in an instant the gap between them was closed and filled by the half breed. Only the twin trails of energy left behind by her dangerously glowing fist and the vicious glow of her eye remained as evidence that there had been any distance between them at all. She inhaled in fearful anticipation. Her breath caught in her throat and her ears and headfins pointed straight up in her alarm as Habana let out another furious cry. “KINETIC BREAKER”
The force behind the mighty punch slamming against the dragoness' heavily armored torso was like that of a supercharged freight train that had crashed into Maeve's chest all at once. The impact alone caused a small shockwave to split the air, making nearby windows to buckle and crack. Maeve's golden eyes shook, blurring lightly from the strike as she looked down to the point where Habana's fist was embedded into her dark armor. She let out a shaky gasp as her armor fractured lightly, cracks forming along the chestplate before the energy was truly released. Maeve's torso involuntarily lurched back as an explosion of violet energy seemed to shoot out the back of her, her body soon followed. Maeve cried out blasting through the air like a bullet before she slammed against the wall she was forced into earlier, this time the force behind Habana's attack was enough to create a small crater against the concrete structure when Maeve's body was smashed into it. She let out a hacking cough, head slumping down as she tried to regain her focus. A hand moved gently cup the impact point. She hissed, pain shooting through her but she pulled away her hand to check if there had been any blood. Unlike Rime's death beam however it seemed that the 'Kinetic Breaker was more about blunt explosive force than piercing attack. It still didn't tickle though... That was for sure. Maeve snarled clenching her fists while she let her aura flicker and explode around her form. She pulled away from the crater and landed on the street with a heavy thud. She panted, her eyes glowing a bit with her frustration but...She didn't give in to her destructive urges...They were still very much there but...Maeve didn't have to give in to them to fight at her all. "You know, up till recently... I'd be struggling to hold myself back to keep myself in check. I thought that in order to fight at my all I had to give in to my demonic will, a destructive rage that guided my blade down a dark path... I don't have to anymore... I found out how I can be strong in my own way! By balancing my mind, body, and spirit I can fight my hardest with absolute control! Just watch!" With a sudden explosion of black and red energy Maeve would cry out her muscles bulging as her power suddenly started to rapidly climb. She roared out as she doubled...No...Tripled her power suddenly! She would stop standing up firmly as she shot a glare Habana's way. "I'll show you what the heiress of the Rakshasa Clan is capable of!" With that she'd shoot towards Habanna to lash out against her former attack. With her sudden drastic increase in power she'd be moving at a much higher speed, heavy armor be damned! Upon closing the distance she would lurch into a furious combination, starting with an attempt to knee Habana with enough force to launch her straight up into the air. Regardless if she was successful, Maeve's form would once again disappear as she activated her 'blink' ability, fading away much faster than before due to her sudden increase in power only to appear in the air high above the Saiyaness. With her demonic aura flaring the image of Maeve would fade into sight holding her great cleaver over her head in an imposing fashion. "The last two failed but this wont! Take this! DEMON...SKULL...BEHEADING!!!!"She bellowed as she fell, using all her weight combined with the weight of her hefty blade to shoot down towards the woman. Depending on where Habana was (be it airborne as intended or on the ground) she would cleave her blade down letting the power and momentum of her fall combined with gravity to send the massive weapon forward in a crushing downward arc. If Habana were airborne she would try to slam the blade into her and carry her back to the ground. If not, she would try to land a powerful aerial blow on top of her. Either way, she was coming down upon her with the raw force of a furious meteor crashing towards the Earth!

Habana could not have expected that attack to have gone any better than it had unless she had somehow completely avoided Maeve's previous attack before launching the Kinetic Breaker rather than mitigating its potential for damage through use of the Breaker, she somewhat regretted how focused she had needed to be on watching where Maeve was attacking, it prevented her from getting to see the demoness' reaction to her technique being countered as effectively as Habana could possibly counter, the pain throbbing through her arm was MORE than worth it to negate the effectiveness of Maeve's attack and turn it into a new opening for herself. Habana HAD to assume that Maeve was taken off guard by the power of the Breaker as while she could not focus on Maeve's facial responses to the attack she was more than capable of watching how the woman's body reacted, the hurried attempts to pull away as the Rebellion Star failed and Habana began her approach.
Try as Maeve had to pull back Habana managed to be just a bit faster closing the distance between them and delivered the blow with fist meeting metal with an impact so powerful it caused a wave of power to erupt between them quickly followed by Maeve being sent flying back all the way into the building she had briefly used for support earlier, the building provided far less support now as Maeve hit it with more force than it could handle causing part of the building to crack and crumble creating a deep impact in it's side filled by Maeve's possibly unconscious form.
Part of Habana knew it was probably a good diea to just follow up, keep pressuring Maeve, unlike before where the demoness had been recovering Habana could feel her energy wavering, she was far less in a 'recovering' state and far more likely to be in a semi-conscious state, one that posed far less danger to Habana if she wanted to press the attack.. but the Kinetic Breaker consumed a LOT of power, and with her weights still on there was far less power at Habana's disposal to be throwing around on techniques like that, Habana took a a step back and shook her head in order to keep herself stable over the sudden loss of power.
In the time it took Habana to stabilize herself she felt Maeve's energy begin to stabilize again meaning the demoness was thankfully not dying and also likely to be recovering at this point, the armored demon dragged herself out of the crumbled mess that had once been a wall looking not particularly pleased and to Habana's curiosity she noted the woman's eye seemed to glow just a bit every now and then, Habana was mostly taking Maeve at her word that she was a 'Demon' truth be told she knew little to nothing about what a Demon was, she knew it was a different sort of creature than a traditional being like a Saiyan or a Human, but other than that and a vague understanding that they were dangerous, she knew little else with which to determine if Maeve was lying about what she was.
Raising an eyebrow as Maeve spoke of needing to hold back to 'keep herself in check' curious as to where this was going, apparently Maeve had developed a method to surpass the 'dark path' her powers would have put her on and with that declaration her energy began to flare around her the ground cracking and splitting with the surge of power as Maeve's body began to shift muscles growing larger and more powerful and most of all her energy suddenly tripling in output, the sudden increase in power left Habana absolutely stunned, Maeve had gone from roughly even with herself to on par with what she regularly saw out of Aspa and Tomo.
Transformed and ready to attack Maeve, from Habana's perspective, vanished in a manner entirely different than when she had used that strange blinking power, Habana took a step backwards in a manner very reminiscent of Maeve's attempt to step away from her own attack only to find that before her foot even made contact with the ground there was a very powerful demon standing before her and then all too suddenly Habana was in the air the pain of the impact of Maeve's blow registering only after she had already been launched skyward.
The demoness was far from done with Habana though as she vanished from the ground reappearing high in the sky once again in front of Habana who was only now beginning to process the situation, all Habana's mind could focus on was her frustration, one again she had found someone who so thoroughly outstripped her in power that it was barely even a contest any more, part of Habana tried to come up with a plan of action, a method of fighting back against the seemingly insurmountable odds that Maeve's new form presented, but all Habana could think of was how much she wanted that sort of power, she NEEDED that power.
So focused was Habana that she barely even heard Maeve declare the name of her attack, thankfully in spite of the name the blade's arc was not in fact directed at Habana's neck and seemed specifically not aimed to actually behead her, rather the blade's arc cut down from Habana's clavicle down to her chest the force of the slash pushing Habana back with it as an eruption of red burst from the wound, Habana clenched her teeth doing her best not to let out a scream of pain as she flew back, the wound was BAD, perhaps even the single worst hit she had ever taken, Habana flew through the air until she finally crashed into the ground like a puppet that suddenly had it's strings cut..
Her breathing was heavy as she lay in the small crater formed by her fall, her vision fading quickly as the wound quite rapidly pushed her closer to the point of passing out from blood loss. As her vision began to cloud over as unconsciousness sought to claim her Habana suddenly felt a strange rush, her clouded vision quickly becoming clearer and clearer until it was even sharper than normal, her hands tightened into fists as she felt reinvigorated for what appeared to be no discernible reason 'You wanted power...?' Take it!' Habana heard a faint voice, almost certainly a delusion brought on by the blood loss, perhaps this entire feeling of re invigoration was just a delusion, and yet she couldn't help but listen, blinking Habana saw a reflection of herself kneeling above her, a strange parody of her normal appearance, dark clothes, white hair, black glowing eyes, nothing about the other Habana looked quite 'right' and yet she held out a hand to her, as if to help her up from the crater. 'Stand Habana, this fight is not over' she heard a voice that sounded eerily much like her own, and without another thought she reached out to the other Habana grabbing hold of her hand.
While Habana lay in the crater her mind a flurry with things unseen by her opponent her energy would suddenly spike from within her crater surging back up from the brink to it's normal level, and then doubling, and then tripling, with that Habana would begin to stir slowly pulling herself up from the crater as her power would continue to rise only ending once she was back on her feet and her power had topped itself off at four times her normal power, her normally violet energy now shifted to a smokey black and her appearance, save for her clothing having changed to suit the vision of herself that she had seen, white hair, slightly tinted skin now with a slight coating of Habana's own blood, and smokey black energy radiating off of her as both her eyes glowed with power, Habana raised a hand placing the tip of her index and middle fingers at the top of her wound and then tracing them along the entirety of the gash that Maeve's attack had made searing the still bleeding wound closed, grabbing hold of her now damaged top Habana would yank the remains of the garment off tossing it to the side casually as she cracked her neck.
Now without the top to hide it the art hidden beneath was revealed to the world, a intricate series of tribal style tattoos hidden beneath the shirt now glowing a deep and ominous purple, in response to the power pulsing through them the tattoos would begin to expand slowly reaching out over Habana's shoulders and out to her sides. Flexing her hands Habana's lips slowly curled into a grin as she felt her power, and then felt Maeve's, where before the demoness had held a small but distinct advantage it seemed that the tables had turned “I think I'm going to enjoy this” Habana said, more to herself than to Maeve. “Looks like it's time we begin round two!” Habana shouted with a viscious grin as she sunk back into a fighting stance, in spite of the massive boost in power her body was still shrieking in pain from Maeve's attack, the searing of the wound doing little to aid in ending the pain and simply serving as a means to prevent herself from bleeding out but she had no intention of letting Maeve know that.

As soon as the two touched down on the ground the earth beneath them would crumble and shatter into a fine smoky dust as Habana's body, with the force of the super charged Maeve, was suddenly slammed headlong into it forming a crater beneath them. As soon as they stopped moving, Maeve would finally retrieve her blade, pulling it free from it's embedded spot of Habana's shoulder with a sickly wet squelch. With a click of her tongue, Maeve quickly flicked the mighty blade to the side splashing the hybrid's blood into the dirt as she turned her back to her. She wanted to say something, to punctuate the fact that this fight had been finished. As she glanced back however, she saw what a sorry state the woman was in and decided against it. In fact, she turned, and stooped down extending an arm out to her hoping that she would take it, that she would accept defeat and just... Stop the fighting... She blinked however, ears twitching as she heard a familiar but distant voice cry out in agony. Her face paled as she looked aside to where the great golden beast's aura was flaring, the great queens roar of fury being powerful enough to cause a few of the buildings around them to tremble. "Oh no! Bing! Kaula! I have to get back, I have to help them I-" Maeve's eyes widened in horror. Her voice died in her throat upon witnessing the terrible transformation taking place beside her. The dragoness shielded her face with one of her clawed gauntlets as the wispy, almost ink-like aura of dread suddenly exploded around the half saiyan...Half...Demon? What exactly was she?! She didn't know and didn't wait to find out! As the smoky aura whipped and lashed around wildly Maeve jumped back to escape the crater. Her eyes narrowed as she shifted into a fighting stance. She lowered her brows and let her startled expression temper into a scornful frown as she kept her blood-stained cleaver at the ready. Maeve could only watch as the wounded saiyaness seared her wounds shut giving a slight wince at the sight. Though her wince faded with confusion then further horror as the young woman ripped away her top, freely revealing the intricate tribal, possibly runic designs on her chest that seemed to be glowing dangerously. She blinked, unbelieving at the sight before her before letting out a sharp gasp. It was impossible, there was no way her previous thought could be true! What had given her pause and left her in a stunned state of silence was one simple fact... ...She recognized some of the symbols. Those violently glowing etchings on her flesh that were rapidly expanding around the woman were not unknown to the demonic swordswoman. She had seen them more than once, but it was too late to try and prevent the dramatic change in Habana. She could only watch as the markings began to consume her form in their dark glow. It was as if they were feeding on the saiyaness' rage and expanding allowing her to draw more and more of their power. Could mortals really have access to this power? This seemed almost too far fetched to believe. It was as if she were watching a nightmare unfold! Those tattoos... How did she have them? Maeve slowly brushed a hand across the side of her own face. She couldn't help it seeing the saiyaness' dark markings. It was as if she were acting almost on reflex. She felt the icy cold steel run along her soft flesh only, she stopped just before the armored fingers touched her Runic tattoos. They were so different but remarkably similar to Habana's. It was odd considering they served too completely different purposes. Once again she came across a fighter who reveled in the dark power she so actively rejected. She frowned, expression sharpening as she pulled her gauntlet away from her face only to clench it into a tight fist. Her eyes sparked with determination and anger as she lowered her knees and got into her stance. "I don't want to do this! You should have stayed down! Now you're letting...Something cloud your thoughts! Something evil has poured itself into your heart! Just stop this!" She said, trying to reason with Habana, the real Habana, one last time. She stopped her pleas however for she knew deep down they were pointless. "...I will not be deterred though. Whatever evils you bring forth I will strike down with great vengeance!" She roared letting her power snake around her form in a flashy burst. She growled as vicious blots of black and red electricity snaked their way along her mighty blade. She lowered down further bending her knees noticeably before she closed her eyes. A cloud of frost escaped her lips as she let out a cool exhale. "My friends need me... So I won't hesitate... TO BRING YOU DOWWWNNNN!" She hollered as she suddenly rushed towards the glowing saiyan before her. "SUBMIT!" She snarled as she got into range. She would stop her charge only to swing her entire body with her cleaver in an attempt to slam the hefty blade into her wounded side. Seared closed or not, a wound that deep would certainly still affected her. Maeve was certain that the woman before her was going to be moving slower on that side so she moved to exploit that perceived opening. If it meant she could help Bing and Kaula quicker she couldn't afford to waste her time. She had to utilize whatever advantages she had to take Habana down!

It was actually rather amusing how certain the demoness had been in her victory, Habana's focus had been on the image of herself for the most part but it had not stopped her from seeing Maeve standing over her nearly entirely abandoning a focus on fighting and instead kneeling down as if to help her, under normal circumstances Habana might have respected that, a willingness to aid a fallen foe in some way. But for some reason all it did now was make her angry, it felt as if it was some sort of insult that the woman believed so readily that she had won with that strike. That anger bubbling inside Habana had done quite a bit to further fuel the transformation and watching Maeve's reaction had been nothing short of amusing to her as she finally stood tall again.
Maeve had already departed the crater in favor of a slightly higher vantage point outside of it allowing the demoness to see the full extent of the transformation, not even Habana knew the physical changes her increase in power had brought on, all she knew was that it appeared that the visual style of her energy had changed in the process shifting from its normal violet almost fiery state into a strange black smoke. Habana could not bring herself to care much about that change, it mattered little how her energy looked so long as she could still wield it to the same, or with any luck better, effect.
Tossing her top off to the side Habana pulled herself up and out of the crater to put herself on Maeve's level once again, the demoness seemed surprisingly distressed by the turn of events a fact that brought a viscous grin to Habana's lips, as far as she could tell this was just Maeve being quite concerned about the fact that she was no longer the stronger one between them, the Demoness had possessed an early edge in the fight and then proceeded to push that advantage with her own transformation, now however Habana could clearly feel her own superiority, perhaps Maeve could sense it too.
Habana chuckled as Maeve spoke up, Habana had assumed that Maeve would be a bit better than this, fearfully trying to trick her into letting the demoness maintain her advantage by claiming that this power was in some way 'evil' “I thought you would be better than this, you seemed so interesting before, so ready for a real fight, you seemed interested in a genuine challenge like I was. But now that you're not the one with the power advantage you want to try and trick me into making myself weak again” Habana said her tone growing more angry and viscous as she spoke “I wont have it! I've spent too long being the weak one, I wont let those- those CHILDREN stand above me any more!” Habana growled out as she clenched her fists the energy around her eyes flaring with intensity as she spoke.
Habana shifted her posture into a more combat ready posture as Maeve continued, declaring that she would not let this stop her from striking Habana down a sentiment that earned a brief amused laugh from Habana, she charged once again roaring at the top of her lungs, this time however her attack had no unique edge to it, no fires burst from the blade, no super speed lunge, just plain old attacking.
Frustratingly Maeve was focusing her efforts on her wounded side, long sweeping slashes aimed at Habana's injuries that would make proper response a bit more difficult, clenching her teeth Habana moved to intercept the attack, driving the palm of her hand into the side of the blade to send it skewing away from her wounds and receiving a light slash for it, the new cut would certainly draw blood but lacked the impact to do any sever harm not even necessitating being closed up.
Habana's expression remained focused but every large movement from her would cause a small twinge in her expression as pain wracked her body, her new power however seemed to pulse through her and with every stab of pain came a wave of calming focus to drive it off, "You should stop focusing on your friends and worry ABOUT YOURSELF!" Habana would shout and with Maeve's attack mostly dealt with Habana would take advantage of Maeve's close proximity to launch a quick attack of her own a quick flurry of kicks aimed at the swordswoman's arms, if her own wounds were hindering her ability to fight and defend as effectively then it was perhaps time that she began working to place Maeve in a similar position, injuring her arms or even just a single arm would be an excellent place to begin, idly Habana wondered how effective the demoness might even be if forced to wield her blade with a single arm, she was quite powerful to be certain but a blade that large would certainly be unwieldy if used with just one hand.

Maeve clicked her tongue in irritation seeing her attack, once again, being repelled quite easily by the hybrid. It seemed even though she was wounded she was still fast enough to counter her blade. Though she could see the small splash of blood escaping her fist as she countered her blade she knew such small cuts were inconsequential. Habana would still fight. Just as Maeve would stand her ground when Habana made her counter attack. The demonic swordswoman's golden eyes narrowed as she held the fearsome cleaver up in a defensive manner to intercept the woman's barefooted barrage of kicks. The sound of ringing metal echoed throughout the air followed by a series of fierce clangs that ruptured out at each kick. The dragoness bared her teeth as her form was pushed back with each strike. The icy concrete gave her no foothold so she found it harder and harder to keep her ground under the ridiculous amount of pressure the darkness infused saiyan was exerting. Though despite the environment working against her, Maeve met kick after kick with the unmoving broadside of her sword. At the final kick Maeve would push forward in an attempt to throw Habana off balance in an attempt to create a gap. "Idiot!" Maeve spat glaring at the twisted reflection of Habana. "Unlike you. My drive to protect the ones I cherish is what makes me strong!" The demoness snapped her aura flaring around her as she took a step towards the girl. "I have real strength! REAL POWER! Not some dark boon that you seem to be relishing in! My words weren't made to deceive you. I am not so petty as to grovel before a foe and use trickery or deceit! I was trying to save you! Save you from this blackness that has overtaken you! If you can't see what this tantrum of yours has turned you into then you are more of a child than you realize!" The dragoness barked, fury coating her words as she took another step "You seemed different. Different than any of the other foes I've faced. You seemed proud but compassionate. Now looking at you I realize I was mistaken. You're just another demon. Maybe not by blood but by your heart! The selfish pursuit of power is evil... You seek only to be strong because that's what your pride dictates! I've cut down far too many people like you in the pursuit of saving others. I thought you were different." She looked down, voice losing power as she cut her gaze. ... "...In the end...""...You'll just be another splash of blood on my blade. Like all the rest."
Maeve looked up slowly, her golden eyes radiating with her rage and hatred as she took hold of her blade. Her face was blank, a cold emotionless glare replaced her once furious snarl. Her soft frown was made all the more haunting by the fierce glow of her eyes. It seemed that for that brief moment Maeve was shutting herself off and steeling herself. It was what she did in her preparation to end Habana. She wasn't going to hold back, not this time. No. This time she was going to run her through. She was going to unleash her full potential. That was until she heard it. "Fear my...WARHEAD!"Maeve's deadly glow faded upon hearing the boom of the monstrous queen's roar rip through the frigid air. Her face paled, seeing the small crimson sun flickering in the distance. The great golden beast was charging a devastating amount of energy, easily enough to vaporize the city. She stopped, all thoughts of their battle fading as the storm of force escaped the great beast's hands and shot towards the earth. The explosion would surely be devastating.
Maeve turned, and sheathed her sword. She wasn't quite WHAT she was doing or why but she rushed forward with a cry. "Get down!" She yelled, attempting to tackle the half saiyan to the ground so she could hold her still. For a brief instant she saw the real 'Habana' and for some reason felt the need to protect her. Despite the fact that she was ready to kill the hybrid just moments before, the dragoness' heart told her that there was something within Habana worth protecting and that she was wrong for trying to kill her.
She couldn't imagine what would happen if that bolt were to strike the ground. The power of it being charged and fired was enough to make the ground quake beneath them. She could only hope that someone as powerful as Bing or Kaula could stop it.
"Please Bing Gan...Please don't let her win...Please...Please save us all!" She thought, Her eyes closing as she lowered her head. She was unknowing if her pleas would reach the guardian, but she had to try.

Habana's grin grew with every blow she delivered against Maeve's blade, even if her strikes were not quite connecting as she had hoped they were revealing something that did bring her just a bit of joy, each blow she landed against Maeve's blade pushed the demoness back, if need be this could be used to her advantage, push Maeve back enough and eventually she would hit a wall and that would make proper defense all the more difficult. Habana would continue her relentless stream of attacks pushing Maeve further and further only to be taken off guard as Maeve seemed to decide she wanted no more of this and pushed back with her blade, the sudden change was enough to throw Habana completely off her rhythm and Maeve was quite successful in throwing her off balance causing Habana to stagger back and back flip away in order to not fall.
Landing in a defensive position in anticipation of what she assumed would be a counter attack of some sort Habana was surprised when instead Maeve started talking, now she seemed less worried and more... angry a fact that confused Habana quite a bit, she had anticipated the worry from earlier though she had been angered herself by what she had perceived as a weak attempt to try and have her weaken herself but now as Maeve continued on Habana just felt confused by the woman's words, nothing she was saying made any sense.
“My strength is no less -real- than yours!” Habana shot back angrily her fists clenching with her fury as she misinterpreted the demoness' words, where Maeve was care better equiped to understand what what happening to Habana, Habana herself had no such understanding of the amplification of her powers, she had not even yet noticed the physical changes that they had produced as her focus had remained solely on Maeve “I don't NEED saving” Habana said through gritted teeth trying to cut off Maeve but her attempts proving mostly futile as the woman continued talking, Habana felt more and more strange as Maeve spoke, part of her wanted to simply reject everything she was saying as nonsense and attack before she could say any more, but another part of her wanted to know what the hell she was even talking about, why she seemed to be talking such nonsense, why she seemed to believe that this boost in power was such a dangerous thing.
“SHUT UP” Habana snapped shaking her head to clear her head of both Maeve's words and the ever growing pressuring thoughts of attacking recklessly to get the demoness to go silent “You dont know ANYTHING about me or why I want to grow stronger, my pride certainly plays a part in it bu-” Habana spoke as Maeve seemed to be steeling herself for the continuation of the battle, it was not the very sudden shuift in the demoness' demeanor that gave Habana pause but instead the thunderous voice of Zucceta, until recently her voice had been a distant sound, one that unless Habana focused on was mostly incoherent at this distance but now it towered above everything else just as her power surged.
Habana turned in the direction of Zucceta along with Maeve to see what was going on and her eyes widened slightly as she saw what Zucceta was preparing, she blinked in realization as the Warhead was aimed to annihilate everything in it's wake and was aimed to strike the city itself. If it hit there was a very real possibility that it WOULD annihilate everything, but how far would that annihilation carry? Would it reach them? Was Zucceta even aware of that being a possibility? Habana was paused as she watched and wondered exactly what Zucceta was doing, surely with how powerful she was such an overpowering attack was not necessary against her opponents and it was her fixation of Zucceta that would allow Maeve to rather easily succed in tackling her.
Habana twisted her head in Maeve's direction as the demoness shouted at her briefly having forgotten the battle and Maeve herself, surprise evident in her eyes Habana was tackled to the ground with relative ease, confusion overtook Habana once again as her brain tried to process the situation, Maeve's tackle was very clearly not one done to cause harm, she hadnt even made an effort to follow up on it with any sort of violent action, her voice had been... worried which all seemed to indicate that this was being done in an effort to protect her, in spite of this Habana squirmed beneath Maeve trying to put up some form of defense on the off chance this was some sort of elaborate way of getting her to drop her defenses.
As Habana struggled beneath Maeve she could feel another massive surge of power make impact with the Warhead in the distance, the Queens attack still quite readily on her mind Habana could feel it clash with the other attack only for the other attack to begin pushing back against the Queens blast, the raw power of the two attacks clashing being enough to send shuddering waves of power throughout the city shaking the ground around even Habana and Maeve like a small earthquake. Habana blinked in confusion as she realized that Maeve HAD been trying to protect her, she had been trying to protect her from the likely far more intense destruction that would have been brought on by the Warhead actually making impact with the city. “W-why why are you protecting me!? Were supposed to be FIGHTING, that doesn't, you don't” Habana shook her head in confusion, it seemed now so much more difficult to process why an enemy would try and help her, even more strange was she couldn't even remember when she had started really considering Maeve an 'enemy', an opponent? Certainly. But when had she decided to consider her an enemy?

Maeve's eyes squeezed shut as she held fast to the squirming Habana. She wasn't going to let her go. She felt the need to keep her safe. Habana's stubborness wasn't going to get her killed, not on the dragoness' watch. Still, even though she had control over Habana she was ultimately powerless in this situation. They both where. They were just two ants facing against the sun. In her moment of powerlessness she preyed to no one in particular that Zucceta's blast wouldn't destroy the city. Not just her and Habana's lives were in danger but every citizen in the North Capitol was at risk of being wiped out from Zucceta's Wrath. That couldn't happen... There were too many people at risk... Someone had to stop her. It was up to Bing and Kaula to do something... Though, what could they do? Her prayers would seemingly be answered however as in the next instant, Bing's voice ripped through the air and countered the queen's attempted devastation. She looked up, her head fins lowering and her eyes widening as she watched the two blasts collide. Such force was easily enough to shake the world. The mortal, Bing, by his own hand, managed to stand against Death herself with a power unlike any Maeve had seen. She watched as the ruby energy of Zucceta's 'Warhead' was matched and overpowered by the emerald blaze of Bing's Serpent's Fury. She could only stare in awe at the display of light that shattered the sky. Her wonderment ended however as she was forced to duck her head down as a few lashes of energy slapped against the nearby buildings sending debris raining down around both Habana and herself. After a few moments Maeve would pull away from Habana and slowly stand up, the energy of Bing and Zucceta's struggle still crackling behind her. The triumphant green glow that pulsed behind her, however, was the only reassurance she needed that it was safe to stand once more. She looked to Habana with an even gaze. "I'll be honest... I wasn't really thinking when I protected you. I...I don't know if you would do the same thing in your current state...I mean...I was ready to cut you down moments before the queen's strike even... I was ready to write you off as another mindless demon." She said eyes closing briefly as she hesitantly admitted to her dark intentions. "But... Looking at you, in that moment, I recalled what you said before all of this...'I'm of the mindset that it would be better to keep strong people around, always good to have someone who can push you in a fight." She quoted opening her eyes. "...That might have just been a tough front but, despite everything, I could still see the good in you. Just like I could at the beginning of our fight..." "I didn't want the queen in her mad lust for blood snuff out someone like you." She spoke softly, shaking her head. While she was fretting over Habana, it was clear her primary concerns and anger seemed to stem from Zucceta and her twisted desire for violence. In a way, she was remarkably like her clansmen. What a sickening thought. Realizing how soft she must have appeared before the hybrid warrior Maeve began to blush lightly before she averted her gaze in an awkward fashion. "Don't get the wrong idea though! It's not like I did it for you personally or anything... As I said, I just don't like seeing good people killed. T-Though if you don't refuse to give up on this conquest I'll have no choice but to keep fighting. Do you understand? My protecting you was a one time thing!" She snapped returning to bring her tough front up. Her brows lowered and her eyes narrowed in on the girl. It seemed with that little outburst she was back to her typical self. "...Unless you plan on giving up seeing how reckless your friend is being I suggest you stand and face me, because break time is over." She said before drawing her sword once more. "Even with that darkness of yours I'll prove to you the difference in our power. I'll push you harder than you've been pushed before! Just watch!" As the sky was ripped apart behind her from the titanic beam struggle the dragoness would stand firm, her blade drawn and her gaze fixated on the woman. She would await her response before continuing. She would wait for her to stand and come to her. The frosty air was electrified with the power of the warriors behind them, this along with the clashing light and roaring earth set the stage for a proper second round. There was no more time to be wasted with words. Maeve would show Habana the power of her resolve. The power she attained from restraint and control. If need be, she'd push herself to the brink and utilize the elements to the maximum she could handle. She would prove her way was right.

The more Habana's mind raced trying to comprehend the situation the more a strange sort of pressure seemed to build up in her head, the pressure growing more and more as she tried to puzzle out some of the small strange things that were going on, why Maeve seemed so completely infuriated and even a bit worried about her boost in power and perhaps most importantly to Habana why her own perception of the situation seemed to be a bit... skewed at least from what she could remember, just moments ago it had been clear as day that Maeve was the enemy, someone she needed to strike down with ruthless abandon hindered only by the fact that she was still somewhat adjusting to the new found power flowing through her body. But once Habana put a bit of thought into it she had of course realized that her perception of Maeve as an enemy was abrupt and completely contrast to how she had felt before.
Unlike Zucceta and the bulk of the forces of Vegeta Habana held little regard for the idea that they were 'at war' she held very little intention of committing her power to leveling cities and striking down weak humans, those sorts of actions were utterly worthless to her, the Earth was while inhabited by mostly weak beings, a major facet of the universe and destroying it's cities was probably not the best plan from a tactical viewpoint. Killing the people was in a similar vein a bad tactical decision, nothing an average human could do would threaten them physically and a physical challenge was all that could really pose proper threat to someone like Zucceta, she was the type that if someone sought to politically maneuver against her those involved were not likely to survive particularly long, attempts to bring in outside help were likewise also probably something Zucceta would welcome, she was a saiyan of course and would welcome a battle, and if the outside help was beneath her there would be others to deal with them.
Habana was here for the thrill of battle, a chance to test her increased strength against any of Earths warriors that might match her, it was by an amazing stroke of luck that she had evidently found the perfect match, Maeve had started out as an opponent, someone to be defeated and with luck fought again numerous times as they both grew stronger. But her recent thoughts were.. far less kind, she'd wanted to KILL Maeve which outright went against her earlier hopes and the -why- of it simply did not exist, she was not even overly displeased with Maeve outside of her comments in relation to her increased power.
The city rumbled and Maeve pressed against her shielding Habana further from the waves of energy rolling off of the clashing blasts while also bringing herself lower to the ground to avoid as much of the energy as possible, it was unlikely that with this much distance, the energy waves would be deadly, but with how much power both warriors were butting out it was probably best to avoid any contact with them at all, picking her head up Maeve began to explain a bit more about why she had protected Habana, a fact that STILL confounded her no matter what angle she looked at it from both her 'normal' perspective and the strange skewed perspective that still seemed to remain though significantly 'quieted' now that she saw it as false.
Habana blinked in confusion as Maeve indicated that she had done it because she saw 'good' in Habana, that was even MORE confusing to her, she had never particularly thought hard on her own morality, she knew in a sense that she was probably a bit more moral than the average saiyan, she held a distaste for unnecessary killing and was not overly fond of the state in which a lot of the slave races were treated, but she had never really thought of herself as 'good' to hear that someone saw even a bit of that in her was perplexing.
“Zucceta probably doesn't even entirely realize what shes doing, being an Oozaru changes how a saiyan acts it makes them more aggressive, and on top of that shes a super saiyan, I can only imagine how that effects things. There are a lot of us here too, she wouldn't throw something like that around were it could cause this sort of damage if she was in her right mind” Habana said however as much as she wanted her words to ring powerfully with confidence she was genuinely a bit unsure, but she wanted to believe that Zucceta would not have thrown around something like that where it could just as easily annihilate her allies as it would enemies and for now she would stick to that belief that Zucceta would not intentionally harm her own forces.
Maeve finally began disentangling herself from Habana pulling away and back just enough so that neither she nor Habana would have the range to make any cheap shots while they both got themselves ready to return to the battle at hand, with Maeve no longer on top of her Habana would briefly raise her legs preforming a swift kick up to jolt herself from her back directly onto her feet quickly shifting into a fighting stance as Maeve drew her blade once again “We don't know each other very well, but I think we've both come to understand well enough that there isn't going to be any 'giving up'. I'd be interested in fighting regardless of what Zucceta was doing” Habana said with a smirk and strangely as she stated this she felt the pressure that had been plaguing her seem to fade away and with it went the strange skewed perspectives on the state of things.
Habana felt as if a great weight was off her shoulders now that her mind seemed to be back where it belonged and once again the sharpened clarity of sight and sense that she had received in her brief bursts of power returned to her, Maeve was ready to begin again and by all indications was awaiting Habana to make the first move, part of Habana was tempted to see if just waiting would get the demoness to act first but Habana was feeling more than a little impatient to get things back under way. Most importantly that with Habana's return to clarity came a shift in her energy once again, the smokey black energy slowly dispersing as it returned to violet albeit a somewhat darker shade than earlier.
With that in mind Habana pushed forward kicking off the ground and closing the space between herself and Maeve, she would throw a couple of quick strikes at the woman a brief flurry of fists and kicks before finally seeking to deliver a more substantial attack as Habana seeks to deliver an open palm strike directly to the center of Maeve's chest in an effort to drive the woman back and potentially stagger her to provide a better opening for another attack.

Maeve's eyes widened in realization at Habana's words as she described the mysterious transformation that the queen of the Saiyans had gone through. It seemed that it caused the queen to become irrational and aggressive in her monstrous state. It was to the point that she was willing to put everyone's lives in danger for her own selfish desire to reign. There was no honor in her actions, no loyalty to her comrades. Her lust for destruction trumped both of those. She was a monster, a beast! Funnily enough, the queen's previous words echoed in her mind at that moment. "What happens when you combine the BESTIAL with the DIVINE!?"Divine... ...What a joke. Maeve stood up straight as Habana seemingly returned to normal and issue her challenge once again. It was a good thing to see, even though they were technically supposed to be foes she was glad that she had taken control over some of that dark power and regained her own thoughts. It was good, for she wanted to test herself against the real Habana. She didn't want to face off against some twisted reflection. The tiniest hints of excitement flickered in her eyes as she watched Habana stand and square off to face her. She was ready. She had the force to fight. As the energy of Earth's guardian overtook the golden queen with a flash of viridian, Maeve would kick off the ground and rush towards Habana. The pained cries of denial from Zucceta served as the anthem for her charge. The imagined image of Bing standing against the oppressive tide of force brought on by lady death and succeeding was her inspiration. Defeating Habana, and doing her part in protecting the world. That was her goal. She had the will to win. A roar escaped her maw as the two fighters grew closer and closer together. In an instant they'd clash, their wills meeting to trade physical blows. Habana started their 'second engagement' with a flurry of punches and kicks. She was still lagging on her side from Fateburn's cut, so half of the strikes were sloppy and easier to dodge allowing her to block the rest with her massive cleaver. The speed Habana had, even before her dark boon, was insane. Her agile punches and kicks were so quick and numerous that Maeve couldn't find an opening for a counter attack. As soon as her series of swift strikes was finished Maeve would pull her blade up over her head to ready a brutal counter attack. Another downward crash her blade against Habana's other shoulder would surely be enough to cripple her for the remainder of the fight. She was stopped mid swing by a searing flash of white hot pain. She coughed, her eyes rolling back from the sheer shock of pain as Habana's palm crashed into the weak spot of her armor. Shards of metal burst into the air as the mighty palm crushed the damaged portion of her armor and manged to smash against her soft underbelly beneath. Maeve staggered back, from the force of the attack and from the pain, and looked down at her chest plate. A gaping hole revealing her rather bruised stomach rest where cracked armor used to be. She gazed down at the splinters of her armor and twisted her face into a snarl. "That one hurt... A lot." She growled taking a few shaky steps forward as the sharp dagger-like stabs of pain subsided into a set of throbbing aches. She lowered her stance and held up her blade though. A spark of energy flashing over her as she readied her counter attack. Her eyes narrowed and her grip around her sword tightened as she suddenly exploded towards Habana at full force. "Have another! THUNDER THRUST!"Her voice rang out as, once again, she used her impressive, ki charged speed and momentum in an attempt to thrust her blade into her foe in a blur of speed. It didn't work out the first time so perhaps the second would fare better? She at least hoped it would, last time she attempted it Habana pretty easily deflected it. Maeve had the advantage then as well. Still, maybe the unexpected counter would catch her off guard.

Habana nearly grinned as she saw Maeve push forward as well, evidently while she had been given the opening to begin the battle anew that did not mean Maeve would simply stand around waiting for her to actually launch her attack, she was instead intending on meeting Habana in the middle and striking back as well. The clash was an interesting one, Habana knew her range of motion was a bit limited on her injured side, simply searing the wound closed was nowhere near good enough to provide her body with enough to get going at full capacity and as such her attacks from that side were slower and by extension more easily spotted by Maeve, she could see the demoness shifting out of the way of the attacks thrown at her from that side with relative ease her eyes noting them far too quickly for Habana's liking.
Her other attacks were for the most part met with defensive use of the massive blade that Maeve wielded, all of her punches and kicks would ring against the heavy metal weapon with Maeve either directly shoving back against Habana with the blade or using it to force Habana's attacks to slide off of it ineffectually, whenever a blow would glance off the blade and look to be going too wide Habana would pull herself back in with a quick spin in preparation for defending with her weaker side, even if her wounded side was weaker it was far better to have SOME defense than no defense.
As Habana pulled back in preparation for another attack Maeve's stance shifted and as if in slow motion Habana watched her bring the blade high, under normal circumstances this would be a very bad situation, she could tell vaguely what Maeve was likely to do, her aim seemed focused on her injured side, another clean hit on that side with a particularly powerful attack would make things incredibly difficult, but with the sort of slowed state of things Habana noticed an opening, her chance, she chose that moment to deliver the open palm strike to Maeve's chest, her palm made impact and Habana heard a distinct crunch, for a moment she actually worried she had done TOO much damage to the demoness but as Maeve staggered back she saw that it was not the sound of crunching bones but rather the destruction of the metal protecting Maeve in the area of the blow.
Habana smirked as Maeve grew visibly annoyed, even without Maeve admitting the blow had been good she could tell that it had likely taken a bit out of her, the amount of bruising already present said as much, the destruction of the armor in that section also gave Habana a more specific target assuming she could find another opening to use it, most likely Maeve would be acting to protect that area a bit more now but that in itself would perhaps help in predicting how she would defend in order to strike differently.
Now though Maeve's methods of defense were a bit less important as Habana felt a surge of energy from her opponent, Maeve's offense was all that mattered particularly much right now as she returned to a more solid stance and gripped her blade, in the next instance she jolted forward and Habane heard a familiar name as Maeve declared the use of the Thunder Thrust yet again.
The were both good and bad things about how direct the Thunder Thrust was, it at least in Maeve last usage of it was a very specific sort of attack, it drove her forward at absurd speeds, even with her current power actually avoiding it would be a bit of a task, enough so that Habana was relatively certain she would not be able to launch another technique if she put her energy towards avoiding it, the good thing was that she knew it could be diverted with a bit of effort, putting enough power into another attack to counter the Thunder Thrust had allowed Habana to mostly mitigate the attack before but the real question was, was she strong enough NOW to actually completely mitigate it?
Habana shifted her stance bringing her right arm behind her back in a way that would hopefully have Maeve believing that she intended to attempt to counter the Thunder Thrust with another Kinetic Strike, it had certainly worked last time and as such it was perhaps the most logical course of action, especially with how much stronger she was now, but if Maeve was also aware of this then there was a possibility that the demoness was ready for that and had something else up her sleeve.
Which was why Habana's current course of action was not to counter the attack but to avoid it, to sacrifice her ability to put out a bigger attack in order to use one of her techniques that provided a mix of offensive and defensive use, flooding her body with power Habana would bolt away from Maeve moving on her stronger side as Maeve came in to deliver the Thunder Thrust, with any luck however Maeve would not react quite as quickly to Habana's departure as she might hope to as while Habana moved her body would at least for the moment move faster than normally perceivable so fast in fact she would leave behind a false image of herself, the image was basic however and would be unable to actually react or do anything once Maeve drove her blade dead center into the image-Habana's chest, with any luck though the blow landing quite perfectly would be enough to distract Maeve as Habana reappeared just a bit behind the demoness.
While her options for putting power behind her next attack were limited that did not mean she could not mount ANY offense after using the After Image technique, now behind Maeve Habana would seek to drive her elbow into Maeve's back hopefully using the demoness' surprise over the result of her attack to her advantage to deliver a better hit.
