A grand beginning to a new story!..would have been über cool if it wasn't so cliché. That was what a young alien had believed as he was sitting about in his newly awarded home. His legs were crossed, right over left and his right hand's thumb and index pinching his chin gently, but keeping it's place. Nothing new appeared to really occur after the young man stopped a robbery in City Hall a mere few days or so.
It bored him.
Kinda bad.
"There's gotta be something..right? Eh..may as well see for myself if any events are comin' up." Young Hanzo thought aloud, standing up from his red, luxurious seat. The object alone looked appropriate for the living room given, seafoam green walls and caramel brown carpeting. It was sorta like a dream home, if one was to think about it. Aside from the room in appearance, the Saiyan was bare in torso, I'm fact, the only articles of clothing he sported was his usual dark maroon baggy pants and yellow/browm sneakers, tightly laced on his feet, and a dark shade of red wristbands.
Hanzo smiled a little bit too coyly, making his way out of the main room of his home and toward his front door, looking to the side- left and right, before looking down. His dark pupils set sight on a news paper, something these earthlings used to become informed with current events. The new resident wasn't all that familiar with the concept, though.
"Uh...let's see..events.."
...
....
.....
Nothing. Not a single thing appeared to interest him..at all. Not a single party, no celebration nor get together sparked a interest in his mind. looking was a mere waste of his time at this point! Perhaps looking more would do him some good, right? "C'mon, c'mon..." Hanzo muttered, burying his face into the collection of papers, scanning every single word and piece of text. Until he finally got a lead!
"Got it! The..the..uh..World Martial Arts Tournament! Says here: Men, women and children alike come from all different parts of the world to participate and duel in order to see who has honed their strength and ability more! Count me in!..but first, I gotta get strong, mighty, powerful!" He hopped, jumped and skipped around his front yard, a jovial and grand grin plastered across his face. While he had little to /no/ background information on this fighting spot, keywords like 'fight', 'hone', 'duel' and 'strength' invigorated him quickly.
His burst of excitement came to a close fast, Hanzo assuming a readied stance. His legs spread a few feet away, arms at his side and fists clenched with a determined look on his face to replace his wide smile. His sudden stop showed how serious he was, him already running back inside and slamming the door. His pace was quick, as he was zipping around and into the installed gymnasium in his home.
"Right! Let's go!"
Legs already enhanced and powerful, Hanzo made his way to his weight set. His left and right hands latched onto the bar that connected the first set of steel, both wheels a giant two tons. Slight strain being shown, his muscle bulged and popped out, veins pulsating as he lifted his left hand up. Hanzo's teeth were gritted tight, his right arm following a pattern similar to his left. "Argh! I can do this!" The young man grunted, trying his hardest to lift both weights in a pattern. Left, right left, right..and so on. This part of a looong work out lasted for half an hour, the amount of times he lifted a grueling five hundred a piece. A hard one thousand.
That was just the beginning, however.
His next trial was similar to the first, focusing on his biceps and triceps again. This time, more specifically, was pull ups. Hanzo walked yards away from the dumbbells and to the bar that was nailed and drove into the wall. "Hup!" He grunted, hopping up and grasping the cylinder tight.
His once relaxed bicep had become contracted once again as he pulled himself up for his chin to pass the object. Down and up, his bicep and triceps hardening as he forced himself past a limit he set awhile back. Quiet and controlled breaths escaped his open mouth as he continued his pull ups, veins showing themselves as he reached his four hundredth chin up. The young man's face reddened as he tried harder, keeping himself up and staying in place for well over a minute to see how strong his arms had become.
"Aha!..ah?..woah!" He smirked, showing some pride. However, it soon diminished as his arms shook and trembled, his grasp slowly loosening. It seemed to disappoint him for a moment before an idea popped into his head; bring up his legs and start the next exercise.
Trying it out, Hanzo loosened up, dropping back and hanging freely. His legs kicked back and forth as he gained momentum, using the kinetic energy to let go of the bar with his hands and easily replace them with is legs. The bar now in between his calf and thigh, he was now upside down and hanging down. "Hup..hup..hup!" The male grunted.
Now started his stomach, to make it strong and appear to be made of pure iron and steel. Like sit ups but airborne. His upper torso went from hanging to moving up to his knees, a new made pattern taking place. Slow and steady, his torso met and left his lower torso multiple times. Sweat and stress covered Hanzo's brow as he went on and on with this exercise. Well over an hour, actually was spent on this act.
Huffing and puffing, the Saiyan was only half way finished with the training. Upside down, his legs straightened up and allowed him to slide down to meet the floor. His hands jutted out, catching him and stopping him from landing on his back. Instead of laying on his stomach, he began walking forward on his hands, moving to lay on a set mat.
A thud sounded as he dropped down onto his tummy. Hanzo's shoulders moved up and down as he gasped and panted, head turned and cheek planted to the light blue mat he was able to rest on.
"No time to waste..two more things to do.." Hanzo muttered, a light smile forming as he spread his arms out and grabbed the blue material under him. He grunted as he moved up, starting his first push up. His arms stood planted, upper body moving up and down slowly. Minutes upon minutes- seconds stacked on seconds were used wisely as he entered a quicker motion.
"Two-hundred ninety-seven, two-hundred ninety-eight..two-hundred ninety nine..three-hundred!" Hanzo shouted, entering another style of push ups; using one arm behind his back now. This continued for another hour or so, constantly switching off for an even amount of strength to be given out.
One hundred thousand push ups were finished. As expected, sweat and strain stained Hanzo's face and arms. His muscle forced out and his jaw clenched tight. A drop of sweat raveled down the side of his face, followed by several others droplets.
"One more thing to do..just a long run..here we go." The male huffed and grabbed his shoulder, pulling it back to crack the bone and stretch. The same was done to his left shoulder before he began his final exercise. Smoke kicked up as Hanzo's legs crashed against the tiles decorating the floor. Part one of his sprint. Outside, in the backyard, the Saiyan ran the track set up for him, the exact size of it actually equaling the size of two and a half football fields.
Four whole hours spent on running the mile, his legs receiving the strength and endurance it required. His arms moved back and forth, opposite of his legs. His calves and shins were enhanced beautifully, to the point of where he could run for hours to no end. A full one-hundred and fifty laps were completed until he felt just and able to go back inside to his bedroom.
"Y'know, my body aches..agh..and I feel stronger!" He thought aloud, chuckling a tad. "But I can just feel in my core that some strong people are gonna be in that tourney.." Hanzo finished, blinking and laying back onto his bed.
