Natto’s scouter was scanning for Tomoroko’s Power Level as he flew around Cacumber Capital in search for the young saiyan girl. He was carrying the newly modified version of his old weighted battle suit, remodeled to fit the girl’s size and design preference, as he was intending on giving it to her as a gift. He had it done a couple minutes ago on the battle suit sector of the Capital and was quite excited to see her. However, before his scouter could find her, it beeped, indicating a Power Level of around 15.000 coming straight towards him. The young saiyan commander frowned his eyebrows and stared at that direction, confirming that it was indeed flying towards him. ”With such a Power Level… Who might it be? Little Hana, perhaps?” he wondered, as he landed on the street of a mostly deserted neighborhood on the city and put the weighted battle suit on the ground, folding his arms as he waited for that person to arrive.
To his incredible surprise, the person he saw flying towards him with his blue ki aura was none other than his brother, Miso. ”Miso? He did grow strong! I’m glad to see that he is training hard too… But… Why is he coming towards me? I don’t think he has come to terms with the outcome of our last fight…” Natto’s mind was racing like crazy and his heart was starting to race. He was nervous. Not because he had any fear related to Miso being able to do something bad to him… At this point, it would be completely impossible for his older brother to stand a chance against the young saiyan commander, who was, for now, the strongest on the whole Planet Vegeta. He was nervous because he didn’t know what Miso’s reaction would be to Natto’s new crazy power and to his position as commander-in-chief of the Saiyan Solar Empire’s Stationary Defense Army.
His answer was almost there, as Miso landed with a loud flump. A single drop of sweat ran down Natto’s right temple as he stared at his brother. Miso’s feature was quite mysterious, since it didn’t show any traces of apparent anger. The enormously tall saiyan with unkempt black hair stared at his younger sibling and stood there, silent for a while. The two of them exchanged stares, until Natto decided to break the silence. – Miso, it has been a whi… - However, before he could continue, Miso cut his speech. – It is true, then? – he asked in a rather cold tone. Natto gulped, feeling another drop of sweat running down his temple. The left one now.
– What? – the younger saiyan asked. – That you’ve become the commander-in-chief of the army. – he said, with the same could tone as before. Natto nodded, frowning his brows further. – It is… Kaula left because she had some important mi… - he was cut again by Miso. – I don’t give a shit about that hybrid trash. – he said in a slightly harsher tone, finally showing some traces of his well-known anger. Natto sighed. – Then, what do you want? I figure you are not here do compliment me on my new position… - he said.
The older saiyan frowned his eyebrows and a, even though he didn’t actually looked mad yet, a vein popped out on his temple, showing that he was indeed restraining a much more ferocious rage inside of him. ”There it is…” Natto though, sighing again before his brother managed to speak again. – Why you? – he said slowly with a embargoed voice. That question had much more inside of it than the what it appeared and Natto knew that very well. – Because I’m the strongest saiyan on Vegeta at the moment… I know I’m not really fit to burden such a huge responsibility, but I… - Before he could finish speaking, Miso grabbed the collar of his battle suit and dragged Natto near him, raising his feet from the floor. – Shut up, you damn maggot!!! – and he couldn’t hold his rage in any longer. – Why are you so strong?!! What kind of mad training are you going through?! What is your goddamn secret?! It HAS TO IT!!! YOU HAVE A FUCKING SECRET METHOD OF TRAINING!!!! – he was screaming to his heart content, as he was losing grip on himself. – I… I’ve been training like crazy! I’m using heavy weights, and my power level is not even able to compare to yours! How the fuck did you reach this monstrous one hundred and sixty thousand power level?!?! IT MAKES NO FREAKING SENSE! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE A WEAKLING COWARDLY MAGGOT!!! – he shouted, holding Natto’s collar even tighter. Then, he pushed Natto backwards, but the young saiyan just got his foot back to the ground and didn’t lose his balance a bit, and it helped infuriating Miso even further.
The big saiyan screeched in anger, letting it out for a while, before glaring back at his brother. – Since you defeated me, on all my mighty Great Ape form, I trained day and night… I managed to reach a power level of sixty thousand!! But there you are, with a power level over a hundred thousand of mine!!! I CAN’T STAND IT! – he gritted his teeth in fury. Natto sighed again. – Miso, try to calm down… I’m also training hard for our people! I want to protect us all! I’ve achieved a power level in which I may be able to hold my own against the main threats to the saiyans… I’m doing it for all of us… - he tried to calm his brother down, but to no use. – Protect us, you say?! Kaula could do it! That freaking hybrid was a damn legendary super saiyan! But no matter how much you train, you are just a crazy strong saiyan! But you will never become more than that! You can’t! Because I can’t!!! – he said, without much conviction. Miso was mostly trying to convince himself of that truth and Natto was in a dire situation. He had to break Miso, to make him able to reconstruct himself, but it pained him to do so.
– I’m a super saiyan, Miso. I’ve achieved the legendary transformation a couple days ago… - his statement completely shocked his brother, who’s expression became that of a speechless fear and denial. He back stepped as he shook his head, with arched browns and widened eyes. – No… No… No! No! No! No! It cannot be!!! – he said in an almost desperate state of spirit. Natto sighed again, feeling really sad for his brother. ”Why does it have to come to this… Why is it so hard for you that I’m growing? I would be happy for you if things were reverse…” he said to himself, as he saw his brother repeating “no!” and slowly shaking his head.
However, Miso soon ceased to do that, as his browns furrowed again. He immediately dropped his weighted battle suit to the ground, making it crack with the enormous weight of it, and his power level skyrocketed to that of 60.000, like he had claimed, as Natto’s scouter could confirm it. He was indeed working hard, since he almost doubled his power, but that was still not enough and Natto could easily surpass him on his base form, even if he was to be restrained by weights. – You are lying!!! You filthy maggot! I’m gonna kill you for lying to me!!! YOU ARE NO LEGENDARY WARRIOR! YOU ARE SCUM! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE SCUM!!!! – he shouted with anger as he charged forward with a punch. Natto sighed as he saw him approach almost as if it was in slow motion. ”Miso… I’m sorry…” he thought to himself, as he flared a bright golden aura around his body. Miso’s punch hit him right at the face, but did nothing to Natto, as the young saiyan warrior had ascendant to his super saiyan form with much ease than before.
He was learning to control his ki by now. Therefore, his transformation was also becoming more natural. His hair bristled in an instant, with his golden aura, and also became gold in color. His eyes went from black to greenish-blue and finally teal. He was a super saiyan, and even stronger than when he first achieved the transformation. The rage he felt inside of him as he transformed was beginning to fade away: he was still angrier when transformed, but was now in a much more contained state of mind.
Miso’s hand on Natto forehead didn’t even make a bruise and he was now crying. It was the first time that Natto had ever seen his brother crying. And it wasn’t a restrained cry… Tears were pouring down his face, as he felt to his knees, holding his body up with his hands on the ground. – You… Why?... – he asked, almost as he was begging, to which Natto sighed. – Because I have things that I love… I didn’t want this power, Miso… I needed it in order to protect everything that I hold dear… To protect our empire… To protect everyone that I hold dear… And that includes you! You are my brother… You are my only family left! I can’t let you die too! I love you brother… And it was this feeling towards you, our people, our empire, and my friends that pushed me forward and made me able to ascend and unleash this incredible power! – he said, kneeing, to be able to look at Miso in the eye, but the older saiyan grazed away in shame.
– Miso! Look inside of you! We don’t have to be sworn enemies… I… - and Natto paused, as he had to be really careful on how to put it, as he could destroy Miso’s pride with the wrong words. – I want you to be my rival! As a brother, you have to be my strongest opponent! I want you to fight me again! On equal grounds! So… look inside of your heart and try to see it, brother! I know I’m soft and that you hate it… But if you look at it from another angle, you will see that I’m a warrior too… I’m always fighting for our kind! I’m fighting for the saiyans! – he said, in hopes that his words would touch deep inside his brother’s heart.
– Get off me, you idiot! – he said, wiping his tears with the back of his fist. – I have some training to do, because I have to smash a conceited maggot! – he said, gritting his teeth and glaring at Natto, which made the young super saiyan to smile. That was Miso’s way to say that he had understood Natto’s words and that he would do what he had to do. He didn’t see him as an enemy anymore, since he finally understood that Natto wasn’t a personification of his shame, but a worthy rival and a fellow saiyan warrior on his own way. Of course he would never agree with a lot of his ideas, and that they would never work together in a squad without causing a direct ideological conflict, but they had come to the best possible terms. As an advice to his brother, Natto got back up, and said. – This power comes not in response to a desire… It comes in response to a need! Don’t forget that, Miso. – he said, making his golden aura to vanish and, with that, his eyes and hair became pitch black again, on his regular base form.
Miso nodded and also got back up. – You won’t see me again until I can beat the shit out of you, maggot! – he said with a smirk. Natto chuckled and nodded, as he picked up Tomoroko’s weighted battle suit and placed it on top of his right shoulder. – I wouldn’t expect anything less from you, brother! – he said.
The two saiyans stared at each other for a while, before Natto nodded again, as a sign that he was leaving and, flaring his ghostly-white ki aura, he flew again. A nice and warm peace filled his heart, as he had finally made peace with his brother.
