((Thread PL: 11,157)) Sprinting through the rocky terrain was an elderly man. It was a strange sight for anyone to see, especially because the elderly man was maimed so much it should be impossible for him to even move! He was missing his left arm and most of his right hands fingers were missing. What kept him moving however, was the fact that he was an android. He was running quite low on energy though. Normally he'd fly, but he was leaking oil, and his systems were failing! He could barely keep afloat, so he had to resort to ground-based movement. He hopped from rock to rock as he neared his home base. The elderly man known as Doctor Breech spoke to seemingly nobody in particular "Golm, get the tools ready for a repair! Systems are critical, I repeat, systems are critical! ETA is 3 Minutes." Though it would seem he was simply a loon, he was actually using a built-in communicator to speak to an ally in his secret laboratory. It wasn't too far off now, but he suddenly became worried that he might not make it back in time. Though he was moving much quicker than any normal man ever could, he was still moving about 56.3% slower than usual. He was nearing the door now, he could even see it from here. Breech was honestly surprised nobody had found him yet, but then again, nobody was actually looking for him. With one final bound, he landed harshly in front of his metallic lab door. A small keypad near the door beeped softly as he approached, beckoning him to input his passcode. Though it was difficult to input the code with only two fingers, he did it soon enough. The metallic doors slid open, revealing the massive laboratory that lay within the walls of the mountain. He stepped inside quickly, the doors slamming shut automatically as he entered. "Golm! Where are you?!" ( Golm)

Thread PL: 2,823
Golm was pacing back and forth in the lab. He was examining Dr.Breech's research. He always felt it was very fascinating and always thought as if it would help to know what he was working with. He didn't want to be stuck in a situation that he COULD have handled if he looked at the research, so he was preparing. His foot steps clicking and echoing across the lab, he stopped by that strange large tube. "Project Aris...I must ask Dr.Breech about this when I get the chance. It's been a few years since he started on this, but I never wanted to disturb his work. I shall ask him today." Golm said to himself. His examinations were cut off as he heard Dr.Breech's message. "Affirmative. Are we in any danger sir?" He said while quickly gathering all the tools for his repairs. "Never mind that sir. I'll find out soon enough." If being kept in suspense meant keeping his guard up(not that it already was) then so be it.
Golm grunted and turned his head. He saw his creator heavily injured. "Sir, repairs are waiting. Will start on your orders." Golm said sternly. He knew well that there was no need in asking if he's okay, or what happened. If it was that important, Dr.Breech would have mentioned it. As of right now, he's following his orders. He stood by a metal table waiting for his creators call. Whether he got to the table or not, Golm decided to ask about Project Aris. "Sir...you've been working on the so called project Aris for a while, might I ask what it is?"

Stepping into one of the further back rooms, Breech finally saw Golm. He had already prepared all the tools necessary to complete the repairs, all Breech needed to do was simply lay down on the operation table to begin. "Excellent work Golm, I see your effectiveness has increased 12.5% due to your last upgrade, though there is still room for improvement..."
He walked towards the operating table in a calm manner. Though he had lost his battle, it was good for collecting data! He now knew his body was far from perfect, and that more needed to be done. Breech was also given a brand-new goal: Eliminate that bratty girl and her tailed friend. It was a secondary objective of course, but it was something he'd have to remember to do sooner rather than later.
As he sat himself flat on the operating table, he heard Golm ask about Project Aris. Breech simply waved his hand in annoyance at the question "I'll tell you when the time is right Golm...for now, just work on repairing my systems as quickly as possible."
To ignore further questioning, Breech let himself fall into "inactive" mode, to allow Golm to have an easier time with the repairs.
(eh, not the greatest post)

Golm watched as the doctor walked towards the table. He nodded as he was complimented on his work, but always could use improvements. He didn't grin however, he usually never does unless he's overly satisfied or using it for mockery. But he didn't feel displeased when Dr.Breech turned down his question. He expected this to happen so it was no surprise. As he shut him self down Golm brought the tools closer to him. He looked at the injury. "This is a tough one." He scanned Dr.Breech for any internal injuries. Thankfully he was fine. He began to drill his arm and place metal back into place. Light emitted around the room, and loud noises from the machinery echoed across the laboratory. After about an hour he completed the first part, repairing the minor damages. Now it was time to replace his 2 fingers and his install a new arm.
"Hm...perhaps the Dr. would appreciate it if I added an upgrade." He began to tinker with the arm. He had to be careful, he was using a different strategy on the arm. If he screwed up, he'd be in trouble for unnecessary upgrades. He installed brand new circuitry. He realized it had to be connected to the brain for his improvements to work. He sliced through the entire arm all the way to the brain readjusting and adding new circuitry. He sealed the arm back up and began working on his fingers. He removed the hand and began to fix in a new one. He then did the same thing he did to the other arm. He finished and attempted to wake Dr.Breech up. If his efforts succeeded Dr.Breech would see a blinding light and slowly adjust, his vision getting clearer slowly. "Sir, you have been upgraded. Your arms now have more capabilities than before."
(By that I meant it for flavor.)

Slowly, Breech awoke from his self-induced slumber. Sitting up on the operating table, he listened as Golm explained what he had accomplished. Alongside the repairs, Golm also upgraded Breech's arms. He could certainly feel the difference already. They were sturdier, and they felt like they were faster as well. He stood up and did something those fancy martial artists did on occasion. He shadow-boxed, aiming punches at nobody in particular. The doctor threw out a barrage of 5 jabs, alternating between left and right fist each time. After his quick test, he returned to a normal standing position, placing his hands behind his back as he turned to Golm.
"Well done Golm. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I suppose that it is now time to go over what information I've gathered, don't you agree?"
With his question posed, he turned around and walked over to an obscenely clean desk with multiple oddities upon it. The first outstanding item was the LED-Drone Golm had retrieved a few days prior. The small piece of tech was resting quietly, awaiting the moment that Breech would further inspect it. For now it would have to wait, as Breech was more interested in the other item on the desk.
A small, barely noticeable button lay behind a small pile of documents. With a brief motion he moved the documents out of the way and tapped the button with his finger, causing a small slot to pop out of the table.
Breech sat still for a moment as he did some internal digging. After a moment, he found the video recording that was stored in his ocular drives. He placed his index finger in the slot, and the video recording began streaming to a large screen on the opposite side of the room. "This recording was taken earlier today. It features a brief scuffle I had with two children. They were extraordinarily powerful, both of them surpassing your power, and one of them surpassing even I." he said this as if he were a professor explaining an equation to his students.
The video started up, showing Breech landing on an island opposite two children, a girl and a boy. The boy, who was floating, flew up to Breech and yelled in his ear, causing Breech to retaliate with force. The girl didn't seem to like that much, seeing as she rushed forward and attacked the doctor with her blades hilt. The fight continued on for a while, but the end result was Breech's condition before he was repaired. The video ended when Breech hit the water.
"As you can see, the first test was a catastrophic failure. The most notable problem I found is that the Ocular Lazer proved ineffective, which means we'll have to work on upgrading that as soon as possible."
With his explanation over, Breech turned his attention to the LED-Drone. He was going to begin tampering with it, but decided this would be a decent time to determine just how much Golm knew about the situation.
"Golm, I'm curious...do you know what exactly this Drone is for?"

Golm grinned at his work when he noticed how much his creator has improved. How ironic. His improvements were successful which means the doctor would put more faith into the android. As he stopped shadow-boxing. "Affirmative." Golm simply replied at Dr.Breech's question. He followed Dr.Breech down the halls. Golm took a quick glance at the LED-Drone and continued walking. He watched Dr.Breech shuffle the papers around and push a button to open a compartment. After a few moments of him scavenging for whatever he was looking for, he came removed his finger and sat back up. Golm's eyes widened as he Dr.Breech told him what happened. "Children? Children surpassing the both of us? Now I am curious." Golm watched the video intently. When the video ended Golm had a very good question and or suggestion.
"But...sir? That boy has a tail. I believe he's a Sayian." Golm informed. He had this stored in his data base when he did research while Dr.Breech was gone or busy. "Sayians are a race born for fighting which explains his power. They live on Vegeta so why is this little one on Earth?" He thought about it for a moment. "Nevermind that sir. But you should know Sayians have a weak spot...their tail. If you grabbed the tail sir, you could have used the boy for ransom into getting away. Perhaps take him to the lab and experiment on him." Golm suggested. He would gladly do it himself, but he only went by Dr.Breech's orders. And without a doubt his creator wouldn't want his loyal assistant getting destroyed by a child. "Hm? The LED-Drone. I haven't touched it and didn't want to disturb you so I never asked. Although I did study it a bit while you were away. The Drone looks like some sort of information gatherer." He didn't know if he was correct or incorrect but that was all the information he had.
(Doctaaaa! The drone is entirely what you want it to be, if Golm is wrong correct him, if he's right eh you get the point. Up to you sir!)

As the video ended, Golm noticed something that Breech had as well. Etoru, the young boy, was a saiyan! He had the signature bushy tail, and if Breech had to guess, he probably had the average Saiyan power level. His data was a bit dated however, so he wasn't sure entirely. Golm suggested that Breech should have gone for Etoru's tail, to which Breech agreed. "While that is an excellent strategy Golm, this test was specifically to gauge my bodies abilities. It needed to be unbiased, with no variables to interfere. Despite my best efforts however, that green creature interfered, which skewed my results a bit. The simple fact is however, that my body is indeed sub-par. We shall begin working on more upgrades, but first..."
He turned his attention back to the LED-Drone. It was a spherical little robot, no bigger than a basketball in size. Breech grabbed the Drone and turned to Golm. He began explaining what exactly it was "You are indeed correct that is an information gathering drone. The only thing we need to do now is collect the data from inside..." Breech opened up a slot in his index finger, causing a screwdriver to portrude from the tip of his finger. He began tinkering with the machine, looking for the right spot in the hull. Eventually he found the weak spot, and tapped it, causing the LED-Drone to crack in half.
On the inside lay a huge amount of wiring. Circuitry of all shapes and sizes could be seen, but one thing in particular stood up among the rest. It was a small disk, no bigger than a golf ball in width. Breech held it up and turned to Golm, speaking in an interested tone "This seems to be one of the newer models...perhaps we'll get more information than I had hoped."
Placing the disk into the drive of one of the many computers nearby, Breech waited patientiy as the data was processed. It took a while, but after about 5 minutes, the disk popped out, signaling the computer had processed the data inside. Breech logged on to the computer to investigate the files further, but found most of the information was still being processed. He scowled, and began tapping away at the keyboard "Damn, looks like Capsule Corp has improved its data encryption in the last few years. The only data I can access is the global sattelites maps."
He stood up from the keyboard with an annoyed look. The LED-Drone stored valuable information on it. He would know of course, he invented it ages ago!
"Link yourself to the database so you can update your global map. During my test I found that the map we currently have is outdated. Once you're finished with that we shall begin working on upgrades."

Golm chuckled a bit without grinning. "I see." This is why he doesn't question the doctor very often. If there was an obvious solution that he didn't go for, then there was a reason. And here it was. He was testing his body to see what improvements needed to be made. Although Golm would always do it just to be on the safe side. Who knows, maybe Breech would slip up. "The...green imp creature. It looks like it has intelligence." Golm continued on with his suggestion. "Perhaps we take it to the laboratory? Do some research on it? You should consider sir, it may help us greatly." Golm processed some thoughts of the little green imp as an ally. Maybe it was quite possible to train it. It had a bag and clothing, why wouldn't it be untameable.
Golm watched as Dr.Breech opened up the case. After a few moments of trying to unscrew it, it finally opened. "This circuitry is certainly fascinating. Why, I've never seen anything like it!" Golm was truly impressed with the designs on the LED-Drone. He watched as he picked up the disc and quickly saved the image of it in his data base. He walked with the doctor to the computer where he started to upload the data. As it was uploading Golm decided to ask a question. "Sir. Might I ask...what exactly do you need this information for?" He awaited for the doctors response. "Hm? Ah very well." Golm gained access to the computers data and began processing all of the information. In about 5 minutes Golm finished. "Deleting....deleting...deleting outdated files.....deleted. Old files. Replaced." Golm turned to Dr.Breech. "Shall we begin those upgrades sir?"

Breech hooked himself up to the database to update his personal files. It was a quick process, especially because Breech decided to keep his outdated information in a backlog rather than deleting it. You never know when you might need to pull up an old data file, so it was important to keep all data. As Breech finished his data link, his fully mechanized assistant had suggested that they look for the Saibaman creature and attempt to bring it to the lab for research. With a sage nod, Breech once again agreed with Golm. "That should be a priority. He looks familiar, perhaps an alien race that lives in either the Arcosian or Saiyan empires? I'm not entirely sure, but we'll find out soon enough. Training it could be useful, but if really needed I could recreate the beast many times over in a mechanized form."
Turning back to the operating table, he heard Golm ask what exactly the information was for. Breech answered his inquiry whilst collecting various tools from around the room. "Well, for the most part it was just to get an updated database on current events. Sadly however, most information is locked away behind an encrypted file. It'll only take me about a week to crack, seeing as I helped design the code from the ground up years ago..." he trailed off as he grabbed a spare hat, removing his ruined one and replacing it with the new one.
"...of course, over the years they have updated it heavily. Still a simple matter for someone like myself, just going to take a bit longer."
Lying himself down on the operating table once again, he beckoned Golm over. He began to explain what exactly needed to be upgraded to his assistant. "We'll need to tweak the ocular drives, improve the maximum amount of energy allowed to flow through. If my calculations are correct, doing so will allow 33% more energy to shoot from my Ocular Lazers in half of the time that it would require normally."

Golm awaited for his creators commands. He nodded when he agreed to experimenting on the Saibamen. "Very well. I shall add this to my data base." He widened his eyes slightly and began to process the information. "I must know, is that a first objective priority?" Golm began to pace back and forth while talking. He enjoyed the feel of movement rather than just standing around. Although he was no where near impatient. "Ah I see...were you high profile in those days?" Golm asked. He wouldn't want him to run into a familiar face. That wouldn't be good for the both of them. They'd have to move their entire lab.
He watched as the Doctor made his way to the operating table and laid down. He walked over as soon as he was called. He studied his eyes as he spoke to get a better feel at what he's working on. "Very well sir. I'll do what I can." Golm quickly grabbed tools and started to unscrew the eyeballs. Inside were a lot of wires and circuitry with various metals for weaponry and data etc. so Golm scanned the insides to find the ocular sets. "Ah." Golm said aloud. He grabbed a thin tool and began to spin it around tweaking it. He then switched the circuitry and a new power source for the eye beams to enhance power, speed, and distance. Don't forget accuracy. "Well sir, I believe I'm done here. Go ahead and try it out, but as of right now I need to run some upgrades as well. I'll take it easy for now if that's alright with you."
(Attempting to leave thread if I'm not stopped. Real sorry for trying to end it soon. It's just I lost muse, I believe that's what they call it, for this character. I just need a bit of time and I'm also focusing a lot on Etoru so that's something.)

"Primary objective? No. While the creature is interesting, we've much more interesting prospects to attend to. If we run into him again we'll attempt to incapacitate it and bring it here, but otherwise, consider it low priority."
Breech thought back to his youth when Golm asked his second question. Was he considered high profile? Probably, though he could not be certain. He had designed many pieces of technology, yes, but was it enough to be well known? He surmised he must be at least known by those in the scientific departments, but otherwise he might be under the radar. He turned to Golm and answered his question "I was known by enough people. It may prove problematic should I run into an old colleague without the intention of ending them, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, as they say."
With that, he fell into inactive mode once again, waiting for Golm to finish his upgrade. A small amount of time passed before Breech was re-awoken by Golm.
He sat up, and instantly felt that he had been improved. At the behest of his assistant, he decided to test out his new improvements right away. Turning his sights to the now useless LED-Drone, Breech began charging up his Ocular Lazer. The metallic room was engulfed in a blinding violet light as the beam shot from his eyes. It travelled quickly, impacting on the LED-Drone and turning it into a pile of scrap.
Breech hmphed satisfactorily. This upgrade would certainly prove useful.
Golm mentioned he was going to take it easy to adjust to an upgrade he made to himself. Breech nodded "Very well Golm. I shall conduct a few more field tests in the meantime."
