Okay, here we go: Since my Fighting Style technique is a 3 tier’s tech, I figured he would need more than a single post to learn. So…. If it is possible, he would only learn it right now it’s N1 and UP2. This way he would only need a PL of 102k, which he already have. Therefore:
Trying to learn >>>>>>>> Natto’s Fighting Style [N1, UP2]
If it’s not possible to split the learning of such a technique, it’s okay! He won’t learn any of it as the full technique (up until MP3) requires a PL of 108k, and he will just learn it on another topic, considering this training as part of the learning of the technique.
[Heavy Weights On. Current PL: 26.200]
His eyes slowly opened. He was feeling like his body was a little numb, but not hurt. He felt rested enough, like he had just slept for a whole day or something. The first thing he saw was dirt. He was inside a crater on the wastelands, on the exact same place he went to try and achieve his legendary transformation. The young saiyan was still a little dizzy and his memories seemed rather foggy as he put his hands on the groung, slowly pushing his body upwards, until he managed to get on his four limbs, still too close to the dirt. He was heavily breathing and it felt like he hadn’t done so in a while, as his lungs expanded with a slight burn inside them. He raised his head a little and finally realized he was still inside a crater. He stared around the place with narrowed eyes from one side to another, until a sudden blink of self-awareness struck him like the very same lightning bolt he faced before. His eyes widened and his brows arched at the same time, while his jaw dropped. His heart skipped a beat, and he had trouble gulping as his whole body was now shaking. ”I have…” he couldn’t even find the words inside his head. He started panting and sweat immediately started running down his temples. Natto stared back at the dirt before closing his eyes and forcing himself to remember what exactly happened.
As he did that, he could finally feel the warmth of both Vegetean suns on his back, and at least half day should have passed. ”My body… It feels… Better…” the sudden realization made him come to perceive that it may have passed much more time. ”How long have I been blacked out?... I remember my body being almost tore apart by power weightening…” he gulped again and sighed deeply, opening his eyes once again, with a very scared expression on his face. ”At least… Three days… I’ve been out for at least three days!” he finally could grasp an idea on how long he had been fainted, and that was a scary thought. ”I could have been killed! To be all alone, vulnerable on this waste…” however, before he could even start reprehending himself, he remembered his very first thought and that thought made his body paralyze and his heart to skip another beat. ”Wait a second! I’ve… I’ve become a… Super Saiyan?!” his mind started racing like crazy, and he was brought back to three days ago.
He was there, on the skies, being assaulted by a constant rain of lightning bolts, that could easily fry him alive, as his body was weakened from the heavy strains the power weighted transformation took on it. Then, that huge lightning bolt came straight to him and he had no way to dodge it. He was going to die if he couldn’t deflect it. ”It is not a desire… It’s a need…” he remembered his very own words as he struggled against the lightning bolt. Thousands of images came to his head, but a very special one was his true trigger, and to come to realize that would shake his world and turn it completely upside down; it was Tomoroko’s face that made him transform. Her face, reminding him that he had someone he had to protect no matter what. Someone he wouldn’t think twice before trading his life for hers. Her smiling face gave him the right motivation, as she was the most incredible person he had ever met. Her smile was a light piercing through the darkness. And he would hold dear to that light, and do his best to make it be able to shine for a very long time.
Natto smiled as he came to realize what he actually felt for Tomoroko: he liked her. Not like just a friend or a comrade, he liked her like no one else, he liked like in an affectionate way, like a lover would like someone and to be able to understand such a feeling made him feel like he had been overtaken by a warmth feeling, that came like a sweet shiver down his spine, filling his belly with butterflies and bristling the hair on his nape and the fur on his tail, that unwrapped itself from his waist and raised it, slightly waving from side to side. ”I like Tomo… Like a mate would like another… But with affection too…” he gulped, feeling like his cheeks would catch on fire at any time as he violently blushed. But he also smiled. His smile was large and sincere and some tears appeared on his eyes, slowly running down his warm cheeks. He had no clue if she returned such feelings… Truth be told, if he had to guess, he would say she did not, but it didn’t matter. It didn’t matter if she was going to become his mate or not, he just wanted her to be happy and safe, and now he had the power to make sure she wouldn’t die a stupid death. He was now strong enough to, even if he faced a stronger opponent, he would be able to buy her enough time to flee, and that was an amazing feeling to have inside his body. That thought gave him enough will power to stand up.
Natto took a deep breath and stared at the crimson skies of the planet, sighing. ”The training isn’t over… Quite the opposite! It is starting right now! This is just the first step on becoming what my race needs me to be… What Tomoroko needs me to be! I’ll become the greatest warrior this universe has ever seen! And when I reach such power, no Virtual Poi, no Arcose… No one will be able to hurt the ones I care about! I’ll never allow any foe to lay a hand on those I hold dear! I will become the champion of the saiyans!” he thought to himself as he clenched both his fists on the side of his body, starting to charge his ki energy, making his ghostly-white ki aura to flare up and engulf his body. – AAAAHHHHHH!!! – the area around him started cracking as he build his energy up. The output of energy was so intense, that veins started popping out from his temples, necks and arms mostly. Natto had to spread up his legs and bend his knees as he used all of his inner strength and will power to tap into that legendary power.
The power felt incredible, almost like it was about to blow his own chest to pieces. The spur of energy made him stretch his back and spread up his arms, while he hovered into the air with his legs stretched without even noticing it. His ghostly-white ki aura began to change, being colored with strains of bright gold color, that kept on increasing until his whole ki aura became a fiery-type bright gold ki aura. He couldn’t help but to scream with all his lungs, as he felt his body becoming much stronger than the monstrous Great Ape form, but without changing much of his muscle mass. – AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! – he screamed as the energy output reached its peak, making his hair to bristle completely, becoming very spike and pointing up, save for three locks of hair that still covered his forehead. He opened his eyes that became infused with energy, changing its color from black to greenish-blue and, finally, becoming teal. Finally, his hair became gold in color, just like his eyebrows, and his ki aura intensified to its maximum. The crater where he was standing grew in size, as he shattered the ground beneath and around him, obliterating small stones too.
Finally, the transformation was complete, and there stood the newest super saiyan of the universe: Natto. ”This power… Is… Obscene! – he thought to himself, looking at his own hands covered by that intense fiery golden ki aura. Natto moved and it almost felt to him like he had just teleported himself, as he – even though he was still wearing his weighted battle suit – was faster than ever before. ”Wow! What an amazing speed! With this I can really finish developing my fighting style! And… Oh my… This is only like twenty five percent of my full potential…” he stood there in awe, feeling confidence filling him up like never before. With that new power, he could break any limitation that he imagined as unbeatable before. ”Damn! I could probably even defeat Kaula and Mayze now if I were to polish my skills and fighting style…” the thought itself made him feel all fired up, and a very large smirk took over his face. ”Okay… Let’s see what I can do and how to improve it…” Natto immediately flew towards a large rock that was still in one piece there. The young super saiyan stared at it, clenching his right fist and preparing it to throw a punch. When he hit the stone it shattered into pieces that scattered all over the place. Before those pieces could even touch the ground, Natto vanished, reappearing in front of one of the pieces and punching it too, to shatter it into even smaller pieces, and then proceeded to the other stone and so forward. He was fast enough to be able to hit all of the original pieces that flew all around the place, but he was still not satisfied, as they just broke. ”If I’m to become a deadly force… I need to make my attacks more effective so that I won’t need to rely so much in ki attacks… I remember that earthling fighting style… Beryl Roarke, right? He was amazing at close quarters and could land some heavy hits!” Natto remembered how much trouble he had fighting that guy, and how he could easily dominate the fight at any moment, just by getting close enough and outclassing Natto in every way. His blows were heavier than they were supposed to be, and the only explanation was that he had some mad skills.
Natto kept going from rock to rock punching them in different ways, in order to find the most effective way to punch to have a maximum output of both destructive force and swiftness. He spend almost an hour in that rhythm until he finally found out a way. ”That’s it! If I use the largest knuckle of my fore finger in a vertical alignment with the second knuckle of my pinky finger, I can line up the bones in my whole arm and, thus, create a faster, more stable and more powerful strike!” he thought, as he stared at his clenched fist aligned in that position in awe: it was about time to test it. As Natto approached another rock, a rather large one, he took a deep breath and in a snap, he threw such an incredibly fast punch that was so powerful that it didn’t break the stone into smaller pieces, it literally shattered it to dust! ”That’s it! That’s exactly what I was looking for! With such a technique I can put my enemies down easier! That’s great!!” chuckled the golden warrior, with a prideful smile on his face. But that was just the beginning of his training in order to develop his fighting style, and now he was more motivated than ever before.
His style would rely on mad physical strength, a trait he inherited from his saiyan blood and background. He learned the principles of this fighting style with both his father, when he was a kid, and further developed such concept with his brother, Miso, who relied solely on brutal strength to overwhelm his opponents. As much as it was effective it needed some deep polishing before it could become something really useful and skillful, so Natto had to find a way to deliver the maximum output of forcer into his blows, at the same time that he needed to find a way to make them that strong, without the need of sacrificing both speed and stability. The punching technique was just the first one. He had to think about the other attacks. – Well… Let’s start with the attacks I can do with my arm, shall we? – he said to himself, cracking his neck at the same time he cracked both his fists, feeling ready: his next move was going to be his elbow strikes.
There was two main ways to attack using the elbow: the first and most obvious one was to deliver an elbow strike straight in, with the pointy part of the bone, making it function as a more deadly version of a punch, since the area of impact was smaller, and it used pretty much the same amount of strength. – I know one little trick! – he remembered one spar he had with Tomoroko, and how he used his body to increase the power output at the same time that he made the attack more stable, without sacrificing his speed. By holding his left clenched fist with his right hand, he would be able to put some more stability on the attack, while both his arms would be responsible for delivering the strike, making it a way more powerful, without any sacrifice to the swiftness of the attack. Natto tested it on another rock and achieved the same result as his new deadly punch: he shattered it to dust, making him smile again, feeling rather proud of himself. – Okay! Let’s go for some variants… - he nodded to himself.
To rely only on straight attacks, he would be limited. And if there was something he learned on his time back at Felucia, with his foster father, was that a skilled fighter had to understand that fighting wasn’t something done in a straight line. A true warrior had to conquer the eigh-directional movements to make sure he would be able to fight multiple opponents at once, and, when fighting a single combat, he would be able to deliver blows from all sides, surprising and consequently overwhelming his foe. Attacking with an elbow from the sides in a circular movement was a quite interesting tool to have. It wasn’t restricted to the sides; it could also be used like an uppercut, and like a sledgehammer in a 12-6 elbow shot, that was very dangerous and deadly. But how could someone achieve the maximum efficiency of such movement? Well… He had to test it out to learn and so he did, for another hour of intense training. His body wasn’t getting tired like it used to be due to the heavy weighted armor, so amazing was the super saiyan transformation.
After about an hour, Natto came to understand a basic principle: If he were to deliver a circular elbow with his fists clenched, the impact would be intense, since he had strong muscles on his arms, and his bones were hardened enough to cause some serious damage. However, this damage would, like it was expected, be solely a concussion attack; however, if he wore to attack with his hand opened, without contracting the muscles, his muscles wouldn’t interfere much with the strike and, while I diminished the potency of the strike, it made possible to hit mostly with the bone, which made it acquire some cutting potential, causing it to be able to cause lacerations to his opponents, which was a very interesting ace on his sleeves to have. Causing lacerations could really come in hand during a fight, since a bleeding eyebrow could hinder the eyesight of the enemy and thus leave him a way more vulnerable to incoming attacks. Other than that, bleeding was always dangerous, since if it becomes too intense, someone can die due to lack of sufficient blood. – Wow! I never thought I could use my elbows like that! That’s… Incredible! – he stood there in awe as he discovered the new technique to increment on his fighting style range of options.
The next attack he trained was the clothesline, which, to Natto, was some sort or variant of his already heavily used lariat. The clothesline is a move where Natto runs towards his target and, by getting close to it, he extends his arm out from the side line of the body and parallel to the ground, with the goal of hitting the opponent mainly in the neck, but the chest is also an option, knocking him over. The young super saiyan tested it to his satisfaction on some boulders around the area, and as he succeeded, he started thinking about other aplications. ”Well… Even though I prefer the Lariat, this can be handy… Especially if I can manage to find other applications to it such as… If the opponent is cornered against a low wall or something like that I could very well use the clothesline and use the force and momentum of the charge to knock him over that thing… Or possibly break it, leaving him in an even direr situation!” he thought, replicating the move against the imaginary foe.
Still on the upper body attack training, Natto immediately connected to his favored lariat technique, consisting on running towards an opponent, wrapping his arm around their upper chest and neck, an then forcing it to the ground. The similarity to the clothesline end when the arm during the lariat is used to actually hit the opponent, instead of keeping the arm straight and attacking with the movement of the body. It was a very effective strike to leave the opponent with his guard opened as he lay on the ground, susceptible to some intense and painful ground and pound, with clubs, hammers and elbow strikes. Natto was even able to use a reverse lariat that was a more dangerous variation of the attack, since it targeted the back of the opponent’s neck and shoulder, possibly breaking the neck on the process.
His training also allowed him to perform the lariat without the need of running toward the opponent, by holding the back of his head with the other hand, while performing the lariat of a spin of the hips to generate the necessary force for the efficacy of the strike. Therefore, the lariat was more of a finishing move, while the clothesline was a regular attack, and Natto loved it for its capability of defeat the enemy quick and clean.
There was also the hammers, consisting of using both hands together, to usually strike with the back of the hand, delivering an enormously strong blow to the opponent with a swing of the arms. This attack was quite versatile, as it could aim at pretty much any part of the foe’s body. However, among all hammers he knew, his favorite was the sledgehammer. Natto trained it by launching boulders to the air and, as they reached a high enough altitude, he would vanish, reappearing behind the boulder and hitting it hard with both his hands coming from above his head. With that, he would be able to launch the opponents into the ground, like a rocket. However, while training with the boulders, he would actually destroy them to dust with his incredible super saiyan strength, much to his heart contempt. ”Yes! This is getting rather nice! I have to keep on repeating all those moves until they start becoming natural, so that I don’t have to think about them before performing it!” he decided and so he trained.
A whole day passed and obviously he couldn’t sustain the super saiyan transformation for that long and the most part of his repetition training had to be done at his base stated. Natto didn’t eat for the whole day and, with the nightfall, he was starving like crazy. – Dammit! I could eat a dinosaur!... And I’m thirsty! – he came to realize, feeling all dizzy and weak. He had to stop for now and eat. Nonetheless, stopping now would cause any damage to his training, as he had already repeated the movements so much that he was already feeling like it was rather natural to him. He would still have to train them for another whole day or so, but he was willing to do that, since it was his job to get stronger and stronger. He had important things to protect and just as he unlocked his legendary power, he couldn’t relax, otherwise becoming a super saiyan would have been a waste of time, since he was still a fly compared to what people said about the infamous android, Virtual Poi. With that in mind, he decided to eat, drink water and sleep by the oasis on the eastern part of the central wasteland, the very same place where he had met Tomoroko around a week ago.
To think about that place filled Natto with motivation and a fiery will power, making him feel like he could overcome any obstacle. ”Tomo! I will show you how strong I’ve become! Just wait a little longer! I know I’ve disappeared for a couple of days now… But when I come back, I’ll be able to protect you… And to… Maybe… Tell you what I really feel...” he blushed violently with the thought of confessing his feelings to her. Somehow it seemed a way harder than becoming a super saiyan! Go figure!
On his way to the oasis, he managed to find a cow-like Vegetean creature that he quickly killed with a 12-6 type of elbow strike to the head, instantly shattering its skull, even though he avoided using much of his strength, since he didn’t want to make a mess with the creature. – Hahaha! Perfect! – he said to himself, feeling rather proud that he didn’t blow the cow-like creature’s head to pieces. With it dead, he continued his flight towards the resting place. The best part of all that was that no one was bothering him, and he could focus solely on his training. He missed Tomoroko, truth be told, but it wouldn’t kill him to spend a couple more days without seeing the girl in order to improve and become stronger. He was also doing it for her anyway, so there wouldn’t be a problem. In fact, Tomoroko was the first person he wanted to see when he was supposed to come back to Cacumber Capital. He wanted to show her just how strong he had become and tell the girl that she player a huge part on that, being his trigger. He blushed while thinking about that but, as he arrived at his destination, his mind changed it focus with a roar from his belly, making him chuckle. ”Damn, I’m hungry! Hahaha!” he thought to himself.
The young saiyan quickly built a campfire and put the cow-like creature in an improvised barbecue grill made of green wood from the trees nearby. Natto sit in front of the fire, while drinking water from the oasis. It wasn’t the best water in the world, but it would be enough to end his thirst. ”My fighting style is improving… Somehow I think that it was inside me all along… But then again, my mind was too busy with my fights and lacking the correct experience to make it all part of my battle instinct… I need to learn to empty my mind and make all my movements just a natural thing to my body… The time it takes to think makes the correct movement be already too late… And I cannot afford to do that in a life or death situation… If I can achieve that, I know I’ll become an amazing fighter…” he smile, remembering the important spars he had lately. First of all he remembered about the earthling Beryl Roarke, who reminded him of the importance of being an accomplished close quarter’s fighter. Due to his time in Argavat, where Natto was most of the times outnumbered and all, he started to focus on Ki blasts instead of melee, and was starting to neglect his fighting style, making his reflexes dull and all. When he fought against Xylo, he was outclassed by the namekian’s experience, since he was able to break Natto’s guard quite easily. ”There was also that stretching arm thing…” it was really a new thing for him, but an experienced fighter is able to react even when he is catch by surprise, since his body just know how to respond to attacks. Xylo outclassed Natto with pure experience, even though he was considerably weaker than the saiyan. There was also Radasha, his first spar since he acquired his weighted battle suit. He sacrificed his own body to try and knock her out, but it wasn’t nearly enough, and her ki blade would be more than enough to kill him due to his injuries… He knew that, was he to take off the weighted armor, even with his injuries, he would be able to defeat her, but there would be no point in that, and to remember that made him sigh heavily. ”I can’t be that reckless again… Unless it’s my only way and I know for sure that my suicide attack will ensure me victory…” he frowned his eyebrows, finally thinking about the one big Battle Royale clash that happened at the palace.
- I was much better that time… - he spoke to himself, remembering that he managed to hit a super saiyan, even though it didn’t do anything to her. That though made him smile proudly, and then he started remembering his fight with Doctor Kouda, where he managed to take the upper hand during a considerable part of the fight, even though he was kind of helped by the Jerk, Aspa. But that was all faded away by the sudden memory that came into his mind. ”Wait a second… Mayze did become a super saiyan back then!” and with that in mind, he shook his head, deciding that there was nothing good on thinking about how he was the last one of them to be able to transform: the order was not important at all, the only thing that matters was that he did become a super saiyan.
Finally his meal was ready to be eaten properly and he attacked it like a savage beast. Natto live abroad almost his whole life so he had no notions of etiquette whatsoever, and he just ripped parts of the roasted creature with his bare hands and then proceeded to shove it inside his mouth, quickly chewing it before swallowing a piece almost too large for his throat, that needed water to help pushing it down. He ate the whole creature, and when he finished, he slapped his belly twice, laughing. – Now that’s a nice meal! A creature that I hunted myself, and not that already prepared meat from the Meat Distribution Center… Hahahaha! – he said as he laid down on the barely grassed ground near the water, putting his hands behind the back of his head, and closing his eyes. He had turned off the communication device on his scouter, but left the power level scanning on, in case someone decided to pay him an unexpected visit. Luckily, no one came, and he was able to rest through the night in peace.
On the following day, Natto woke as the twin suns of Planet Vegeta rose on the horizon, as he didn’t want to waste any time. He drank plenty of water, and ate some fruits on the trees nearby; just to have something on his belly, as he got ready to go back to the other side of the wastelands, to his already intensely damaged training grounds. He didn’t want to destroy any other part of the planet, so that would be just perfect. Flaring his ghostly-white ki aura, he flew like a lightning bolt through the skies, leaving a trail of white ki energy behind him as he scratched the crimson skies of Vegeta’s dawn. It took him a mere minute to reach the other side of the planet, using all his speed, as he was still restrained by the weighted battle suit. When he got there, he landed in between the dozens of craters that took over the landscape and stared around for a bit. ”We have been causing quite a lot of damage to this place…” he thought, sighing deeply, as he remembered that the mayhem started on his last spar with his brother, Miso. It had been weeks since the last time he saw his brother, and he wondered how he was. ”I hope he managed to get rid of his rage… And that he gave up on his thought of killing me… Though, if he learns that I’ve became a super saiyan, I’m pretty sure he is going to hate me like never before… That fool… If he could let go of his pride just a bit… I’m sure we could get along…” Natto didn’t actually believe the last part of his thought, but he truly wanted to believe that he had a chance, even if a really small one, to get along with his elder brother.
– Well… I’m done with thinking… It’s time for the action! – he motivated himself and then he started training. Natto didn’t transform into a super saiyan. He focused on repeating the training he did on the previous days, just to make them become more natural. Due to being getting used to it, he managed to finish them to his heart contempt at around midday. It was about time to start practicing his kicks and knee strikes, and all the lower half of his body. They could be really “handful” and he was really fond of using his legs in combat, despite favoring his arms. The first one was the most basic front kick, consisting of raising the knee and foot, with his fingers stretched until the desired height and then extending it as fast and strong as possible, delivering the blow with the ball of the foot on the frontal strikes. Natto’s style involved quite a lot of body motion, since he was inclined to use the strength of the body was a whole, instead of the sole strength of his limb. Therefore, he used a slight hip trust, increasing both the reach and the power of the kick. The young saiyan warrior trained quite a lot of front kicks, in order to get the correct balance, avoiding opening his guard while kicking as well as the right amount of trusting with the hip, since he didn’t want to lose speed. It took him almost an hour to reach a desirable kick, and he smile, as soon as he was able to easily repeat the one he considered ideal.
After that, he started training the side kick, which was a quite versatile technique. Natto’s variation of side kick consisted of also using the edge of the foot to strike, along with the lower part of the toes that pulled back. The kick was delivered sideways in relation to the body of the young saiyan warrior, and was quite adaptable, as it could be used as both an offensive move and as a defensive counter to a blitzing enemy. There was also a variation involving a somehow inverted side kick, using as impact point the heel of the foot, being that sort of side kick more suited to attack hard targets such as the ribs, head and chest. Other than that, the body movement was performed mainly by chambering the kicking leg diagonally across the body, then extending it in linear fashion towards the target, with attention as to flex the abdominals, in order to use the body’s whole strength instead of just the limb.
”That’s becoming nice! But I need to have more ways to do it… I have to increase my range of techniques… So let’s try something else, keeping the side kick in mind!” he decided, as he kept on prating this particular attack for over an hour. His practice led him to find another way of doing the side kick, making it a somehow fake roundhouse kick. It was something like a feint, as one of its points was to make someone believe it was another attack. It consisted of a kick that started like a roundhouse kick, however Natto allowed his heel to move towards the center of the body, changing the direction of the kick to an outward instead of from a cross-leg chamber, so the final destination was the target to the side, rather than one that is directly ahead. It was a quite difficult variation of the side kick, and took Natto plenty of minutes to achieve some degree of skill on that.
Following that principle, as soon as he got to an acceptable level of skill, he nodded to himself, smirking on the corner of his mouth. ”Now to the main dish, the actual roundhouse kick!” he said to himself, getting ready to practice an old acquaintance of him. Natto’s way to strike it was to bring up his knee, and then swiftly turning his hip over and snapping the leg outwards from the knee to deliver a strike with the ball of the foot, since he believed that using such a part was a way more effective and less dangerous to his body, instead of the shin. The young saiyan warrior applied quite a lot of rotation to the hip, to enhance its strength, as well as sinking his weight on the target, creating a more bludgeoning power. His main targets were the neck and the head, but it could also be used against other parts of the body. But for those other parts, Natto would favor using the shin.
Since it was a very powerful attack, it could very well be used targeting lower areas of the body, with the goal of crippling the foe with its heavy hits. There was also the back roundhouse kick variation, this time spinning the body to the opposite side and hitting with the heel, instead of the ball of the foot or the shin, which was quite deadly too. Since there wasn’t much to improve, Natto only spent about twenty five minutes training that kick, before moving forward with his training.
”Everything is going perfectly well! I feel like my fighting style is getting rather solid… I just have to keep on practicing it more after I finish outlining the main techniques to be applied, and then keep on improving it little by little, by transforming it into something completely natural to both my body and mind! I have to keep focused and keep up with this amazing rhythm that I’m achieving… With that I’ll be able to have some mastery on my body and soul… And maybe…” Natto’s expression became quite thoughtful as he closed his eyes, focusing on remembering what the queen, Zucceta, said on that meeting. ”And then proceeding to master my super saiyan form! With that I will be able to harvest all of its true potential… And become a complete fighter! Maybe that’s the pinnacle of the saiyans capacity… Unless…” the young saiyan frowned his eyebrows as he remembered the words of that monster that devoured a super saiyan, Reikiko, the alien scum that threated all of them by summoning the terrible android, Virtual Poi. ”Unless she wasn’t bullshitting us… But… Could it really exist something as a super saiyan two?! And if it does exist, what the hell would that be?! I can’t even begin to imagine nor understand… For me, to be able to achieve the super saiyan transformation is already more than everything I could’ve dream of my whole life… And… To even consider a level beyond this transformation… That’s… Insane! But… If it does exist…” he gulped, feeling rather unsure about everything he knew about his own race and the power a person could achieve. It all seemed completely insane, but if he was to waste time thinking about that, it would only get in the way of his training, so he shook his head and decided to continue.
Continuing his training, Natto went for some high jump kicks. For someone able to fly, the flying kick was quite a tool, as he could harvest all the qualities of it at the same time being immune to its flaws. He could even connect several flying kicks while hovering in the air, allowing for some serious combo outputs. Flying gave him the advantage of being able to rely not only with the traditional jump kick, but also to deliver side kicks, inverted side kicks, roundhouse kicks, and back roundhouse kicks, without opening his guard to his foes. He could even use the hips without any downside to that, since it wouldn’t leave him adrift in the air. Therefore, since there wasn’t much to improve, he didn’t waste much time on that category either, skipping immediately to the brutal stomp.
Natto’s choice for a stomp consisted on a downward strike, using the heel of the foot, before somersaulting forward, using the spin of the body to generate force and momentum to land an impressive destructive blow, aiming at either a standing opponent or a downed one while targeting the head or the shoulder. The spin should generate enough force to allow him to shatter the skulls or the shoulder of his foes, and as he tried the strikes on some boulders around the area, he managed to shatter the first one to pieces, and as he improved his aim and the correct amount of spinning, he managed to shatter them to dust. Flying also helped with correcting the spinning, as he had full control of his body movement, even when he was in the air, which was quite handy.
For the last part of his training on that day, before starting repeating all over again, until his body asked him to stop, he would train his sweep. That wasn’t very effective, as most people he was supposed to fight knew how to fly, but it could still catch some opponent off guard, so he trained it. There was plenty of ways to do a sweep and Natto implemented quite a lot of them to his range of techniques, such as the drop sweep, consisting of a spinning and sweeping of both of the foe’s legs; the single-leg sweep, used as a counter to an opponent kicking, while staying on only one foot, that was usually done by crouching and then landing the blow to the opponents support leg; and the more powerful forward sweep, that aimed at the front of the enemy’s legs, being a more lethal variation, since it could very well break the target’s knees or shins. When he was satisfied practicing it the sweeps, he started doing everything all over again, and again, and again, until hours after the nightfall, when he became too tired and hungry to keep on training. – Phew… I’m… Beat! Can’t go on… Got to eat… And rest! – he said to himself, as he gathered his remaining strength to go back to the oasis on the eastern part of the central wasteland, where he went the previous night to repeat the same formula: hunt an animal, grill it, eat it and sleep, so that he could recover and train again the other day. He couldn’t find a cow-like creature this time, though, but he collected around 10 rabbit-like animals, and was quite happy with his feast for the night. Natto ate to his heart contempt, or should we say belly contempt? And then fell asleep, with his scouter on the “watch” for anyone coming near him. But no one came, and he woke up glad that he could rest.
– Okay… One more day, just to get through the details, and then I can say I’m all set! I feel like a real warrior having my own formal and well trained fighting style and all! Hahahaha! – he laughed as he finished eating one rabbit-like creature he saved for breakfast. He decided this time not to go too far away from the oasis, since he wasn’t going to destroy anything, just replicate the formula he already reached on his previous training days. The difference was that he would become a super saiyan to start it all.
Natto still had to struggle quite a lot to transform, and it took a lot of his inner strength and will power to be able to reach the transformation. He felt like he was breaking his limits, and even though he already knew the way to reach that, it didn’t make it easy. The transformation was really impressive and to be able to reach it for the third time in his life made him quite proud of himself. ”It is starting to feel like it is really happening now!” he chuckled as he stared at his own hands, seeing his fiery bright gold ki aura, that engulfed his whole body in a quite menacing way. His gold flame would be enough to frighten most of his enemies and that was quite reassuring. The saiyans were indeed the strongest on the universe, they just had to make sure they wouldn’t be caught off guard by some alien threat, before managing to learn and control all of their inner potential.
The only real shame was that he couldn’t actually train effective blocking techniques, since, without a real opponent, it was but a sketch of the real thing, but nonetheless, he at least trained its form along with the punches, kicks, lariats, clotheslines, grapples and takedowns. It would still require him some real life experience with a living opponent to consolidate his fighting style, but the draft was already done, and ready to be applied in an actual fight and, following that, just like a diamond it would be polished every day, climbing the stairs towards perfection one step at the time.
To finish learning his fighting style, though, he would need some help. People who could actually be his training partners in order to train the grapples, blocking and dodging skills, but that was a tricky thing to find, as he didn’t want any of his potential rivals or even close friends to know what he was capable of. That thought made him frown. ”If I can’t manage to find a way to train that part too, It will be only halfway done…” and then he had an idea: He could summon some low class saiyan warriors for what it would seem like a regular training session with a super elite, and then proceed to train his blocks, grapples and stuff by trial and error, without giving much of a hint that he was actually learning them. ”Yes! That’s the perfect idea! It will be discrete enough and extremely useful, since even if they manage to hit me even with my power level suppressed, there won’t be any chance of a serious injury! And I can always pretend that they hit me just because I allowed them too, so they won’t come to realize I’m actually experiencing the defenses!” he chuckled, feeling really happy with his own idea. The only thing was that he wouldn’t be able to transform into a super saiyan while fighting them, otherwise he could very well kill them by accident. It was a shame, since he actually needed to train the transformation, in order to master it, but nothing is perfect.
As of now, Natto only managed to remain on his super saiyan self for about 40 minutes, maybe due to the fact that, even though he slept regularly those few days, that wasn’t enough to recover all of his body from such an intense training session, or maybe it was all about the transformation being really hard to control. Either way, remaining on the form took quite a lot of his body and that’ where the super saiyan transformation became quite different from the Great Ape form: the Great Ape would last for as long as the saiyan had a full moon to harvest blutz waves from, and as long as he still had his tail in one piece, even though he would become exhausted after the transformation. The super saiyan transformation, on the other hand, could be undone out of pure exhaustion, at least on Natto’s present strength and control of it. It was far from perfect.
But that wasn’t the only flaw the transformation had.
There was also the anger. Even though Natto was calm while training, when he becomes a super saiyan he would feel angrier and a way more violent and ruthless. He didn’t understand why, but it felt so natural, that he didn’t question himself at that moment, choosing to ignore that side effect of the transformation. It was somehow not as intense as the Great Ape rage, but still quite dangerous, capable of changing important trails of personality that he couldn’t even begin to understand, as he didn’t fight anyone for real while transformed.
It was nightfall when he was finally satisfied with his training, and he sighed, putting his hands on his waist. – Oh my… I can’t remember the last time I spent so many days in a row training like crazy! But I feel great! However… Right now I’m just longing for my bed at the dorm! Hahahaha! – he laughed, remembering of his small dormitory room back at the capital. – And I can’t wait to take off this damn weighted armor! And take a real shower! Hahahaa! – he spoke to himself, as he jumped back into the air. Natto flared his ghostly-white ki aura around his body, and flew, scratching through the skies of Planet Vegeta, while leaving his trail of energy behind. He was satisfied with his training, and was now thinking about Tomoroko. ”I can’t wait to see her… And show her what I have achieved thanks to her!” he blushed while a smile took over his feature. – Damn! I miss her! I didn’t even realize how much I miss her!” he chuckled embarrassed as he was now a way more self-aware of his feelings towards the young saiyan girl.
When he reached his dorm, he finally realized he was stinky as hell. – Gheez… I smell like shit! – he thought to himself grimacing before he laughed loudly. He was feeling so tired that even though he knew he needed a bath, he couldn’t do it. He just couldn’t. His tiredness was to intense that, the moment he got inside the dorm he didn’t even have the energy to take off his armor, as he just plummeted on his bed, being that tired made it kind of hard to fall asleep immediately and he started thinking about his training, the movement of his body, all the kicks, the punches, the position of the hand, the correct way to punch and all of its variations. It was like he was watching a video from third person perspective of himself, which was quite odd, but also normal for a warrior, when he thinks about his techniques. ”That’s good… It is becoming really good…” he though while going through all his attacks mentally. Natto yawn and with that, all his energy was gone from his body, making him fall asleep almost immediately after that, snoring loudly as he slept. He was dirty and sweaty, but he didn’t seem to care at all, he would just regret it the following morning, as he ruined his blankets, but that’s a tomorrow’s problem, right?
Anyway… He deserved that rest. And it had been a really long time since he had a proper bed to sleep and recover his body and mind. His last thought before getting into the realm of the dreams was about Tomoroko, and how he longed to see her again. The young saiyan girl meant a lot to him. That thought itself made him sleep with a smile upon his face, a really sincere and happy smile.
