((Gravity x70, no weights))
-It had been exactly three days before the announcement that was to be made by the android leader of the Blue-Banners, Vi-Poi. Before then, she had made a decidedly sound decision to push herself in earnest after realizing a few imperative weaknesses. Though she rather liked to relax and make her money the old fashioned way, it was a deep paranoid feeling that pushed her to finding another limitation. So she traveled back to the north, stopping by a bar on the way so she could enjoy of couple of drinks with the bartender of 'The Frosty One' again. Like before, when met that strange nearly nude girl, it was during a blizzard and she had to keep the jacket she absconded tightly bound around her. Once at the doors, she raised her arms and pushed them aside with a flourish like last time.
Heads turned and gazed at her, and she was just about to declare a catchy phrase like, 'I'm back bitches', something along those lines - when she noticed something. Shocked but not entirely out of sorts, Zerori stared at the man who lay in the arms of a woman on the floor, blood caked around his body that hadn't completely dried yet. She was confused, but shook it off to close the doors behind her as she stepped in, "What happened here?" She asked firmly, receiving more than few glares for her interference. They most likely didn't know who she was or what she did months before today...
The girl at his side looked at her, as if only seeing her truly for the first time, before she turned back with a short answer, "He's dying,". Zerori narrowed one eye in irritation as she looked the girl over and analyzed her words. She certainly didn't seem rude but damn, was that sarcasm or is she just truly stupid? Despite her shortness with the lass, she gave a succinct nod.
"I'm sure that much is happening but my question was geared more toward asking 'how' it happened. Is it terminal, did he fall down some stairs, was he attacked - that sort of thing,"As much as she tried to hide it behind a mask of indifference, the people were emotional after all, she couldn't help the slight sarcasm that tinged her words. As expected, quite a few people stepped up and towards her in a threatening manner, prompting the response to raise her hands in the air to placate them. "Cool it - if I was here for a fight, none of you would be alive," She glared fully down at the woman, "One more time, what happened?" She hissed the last part, eliciting fear in the young woman.
After a few moments of hesitation, she nodded before looking down at the man, "It was an accident... He went out to find us meat for the bar and the caribou didn't even... He never saw the horns," Confused, Zerori looked over the bloodied body in earnest and saw the darkest spot on his shirt. Where it was located brought a frown to her face.
Without much sympathy, she informed them simply, "He won't last the night..."
With a deep scowl, the woman yelled, "You think I don't know that?! What is your problem?!" Zerori could practically feel the energy burns of scorn at her back and she just rolled her eyes when some joined in on the criticism.
Finally had enough, Zerori threw an arm out as it ignited and swung it toward her 'attackers' to deter them from any foolish notions, "'What's my problem?'" She quoted evenly, "Maybe what you should ask is 'Who are you?' - because it seems like none of you remember me at all!" She reached up and ripped the hood and coverall from the bottom of her face and bared her teeth at them in a feral manner.
As expected, not many seemed to recognize her however the one she had in her sights was certain to know who she was. After all, she made it clear that after a few days in business with the owner, she was not welcome as a love interest. The woman below her gaped in shock, seeing Zerori’s face for the first time since she’d left. After a few moments, she leaned Roric’s head down and stood up to walk over to her. The saiyaness didn’t move, half-knowing what would come and welcoming it. Once the woman stood before Zerori, only just slightly shorter than the saiyaness, she pulled her arms and lashed out swiftly. The loud, resounding noise that followed was soon drowned out by silence.
Her head was turned to the side only by the motion of the force; Zerori had her eyes closed with the mark of a red hand print on her cheek. For a few moments, she stayed like that before she opened her eyes and looked back at the woman without turning her head. Said woman looked on with the prick of tears in her eyes as she spoke, “He waited for you…” She said softly, but with as much venom as she could muster.
Zerori made no physical acknowledgement of her words, nor did she seem to outwardly care about what they meant to her. So the old man whom she shared a living arrangement with waited for her? For what reason? Why did he think she cared? But do you? She asked herself introspectively. Looking from the woman to Roric, she eyed his wounds and felt a claustrophobic sensation wash over her. No… She answered, but at the same time denied the feeling it’s power.
“That has nothing to do with me,” She told her simply, low and filled with emptiness Zerori couldn’t place before she stepped past the woman.
Her name was Alexia and she was in love with the man whom lay dying in his blood, and somehow… that same man had held some sort of candle for her. A light she couldn’t place because she never intended to be anything more than an associate with him. They joked, he laughed – she laughed, and they went about their days. Her life with him was short, sparse but not without enjoyment or negativities. So why did he seem to think she was going to come back to him?
On the floor of his bar, Roric struggled to move as he seemed to come back into consciousness. For her part, Zerori tried to stamp down the bit of relief in her chest before stepping up to him and dropping into a kneeling posture. He groaned and tried to raise a hand to hold it against the wound over his chest. Zerori frowned and gently grabbed his own hand in hers, “Don’t bother…” She murmured. Roric’s face showed surprise before he looked over at her with a visibly strained expression. Against her better judgment, a smile flickered across her lips, and she let go of his hand, “What’s this I hear about you waiting?” She asked him softly, even when the silence made her words sound exclaimed.
He didn’t respond immediately, seemingly taken by her sudden appearance before he erupted in a fit of coughs, blood seeping profusely from the wound. She panicked, her hands coming up but stopping just short of touching his wound. He wouldn’t survive, no matter what medical treatment she devised or applied – the wound was just too deep and the idea of cauterization at his age was more harm than good. Letting it fall back down, she waited for his fit to subside before he let out a shaky breath and calmed. That was when he spoke, a rough gravelly sound that she wasn’t used to – more so than usual.
“It was… only for a few weeks, but…” Zerori could practically feel him straining against another fit of coughing as the words escaped him. “I was happy… despite your constant… vulgarity,” The way he hissed it made Zerori’s smirk – he was either extremely disgusted by her or taken by how obscene she was, apparently. “I told you… that I wanted to see you again.” He said with finality. She raised a brow at that, her mind trying to place when exactly he told her he wanted to see her.
“I know we're out a ways, but… I believe you could have radioed me. When did you try-?” She was stopped by him reached up and grabbing her arm roughly.
“No,” He said, his voiced raised slightly, “-think back… before you left…” He hissed and Zerori gave a sigh. Scratching the back of her head, she tried to recall events – a lot had happened between now and then. Just before she left, there was a woman who was cold and needed help… oh well, maybe not needed but there was an obvious desire for attention and she was the only one to provide it. But then… she had left without so much as a word to her or the woman. And then…
”Don’t stay out to long! I need you back here later,” She could hear Roric say as she opened the door, in hurry. Turning back, she waved him off and closed it. There was something she needed to check on and the woman was in fine hands…
She’d return later and see what he wanted.
Now ashamed, Zerori recalled that she had ultimately forgotten completely why she had left, so caught up in events, she had forgotten to return. Looking back at Roric, she tilted her head to the side, “So, what did you need me for?”
It took him a few moments, but he swallowed and opened his mouth to speak, “I needed…” She leaned forward, all attention on him. “-You…” Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, “-to get… more meat…” He finished, shuddering at the cold sensation. Staring at him, her expression fell into one of dry expectation. People around her that had been listening were now softly talking amongst themselves.
“…” She let out a soft noise of acknowledgement, before asking what was on everybody’s mind, “-So you’re not in love with me, right?” She asked simply and Roric’s eyes bugged out larger than they had since his accident.
“What in the hell…? No… what would make you-?” He coughed, talking even as his lungs started to feel with liquid again, “-Who told you that?”
In a telling motion, Zerori slowly looked over to Alecia pointedly, enjoying her uncomfortable fidgeting as she avoided her and Roric’s gaze. With a sigh, he gaze Alecia a sorrowful look before reaching out with a hand shakily. Zerori, noticing this and Alecia’s turned away gaze, stepped up and back before reaching for the back of the woman’s shirt and pulling her toward the bleeding man – where she was before Zerori had arrived.
“Alecia, I-” Roric began and Zerori raised a hand to stop him.
“I’m out,” She declared, catching him off guard. She knew what he wanted to ask and she shook her head, “This is her moment and I ain’t gonna stick around for your death. Rest in peace and all that shit, Roric – I’ve got shit to do,” And she turned, happy with her odd dismissal of his death but knowing that – even with her back turned – he had that infuriating grin on his face.
“Don’t come back,” He whispered and she threw a finger over her shoulder as she opened the door, closing it behind her loudly.

Since that time she was in here, only a half hours jumps from the outskirts of what was once known as Jingle Village and back to her hidden ship amongst the snow. Her body dripped with sweat from the constant movement and use of over times seventy earth’s normal gravity. She didn’t activate any programs this time, however, finding it more than suitable to only force her body to adjust with exercises and repetition this time.
It was day three before the events of the announcements that would shake the foundation of the Earth’s composure and for the sake of her sanity – she let play the radio and televised stations as background noise for her mindless work.
