Training in x30 gravity
The universe was a way to big and there were an unaccountable amount of bigger fish than Natto in there, but he was definitely decide to start turning the tables to his favor. His growth depended exclusively on his own will power and ability to keep on pushing forward through his own limitations and fears. His mind was focus on getting stronger, but not only on the physical aspect of it. He was also willing to train his mind to get rid of his weaknesses, including his impulsive way and uncontrollable rage that takes over his heart as he turns into a Great Ape, rampaging his way through everything near him.
Natto had been so focus on training, that he was barely doing any jobs, as he had not applied for them in quite a while. His rent was almost past due and he was on the verge of losing his dormitory room, but he didn’t mind about that. For the past few weeks, he hunted his own food and drank water from natural sources. Luckily, he was fast and strong enough to fly around the planet in a matter of minutes. Hunting for supplies were not a big concern and he didn’t have a fancy taste for food. Any sort of meat even in a raw state would make him happy as long as there were plenty of it, and he was not a great fan of any beverages, if not water. He could say that he was all set with his current situation.
Other than that, deep inside him, he hoped that to be promoted to an elite warrior would imply in some sort of minimum wage. It would most definitely help, but either way he was fine. Anyway, his mind was getting sort of puzzled by those thoughts and as he was about to go for a training session, he decided the he should clean up his mind. ”I have no time to worry about such lowly issues right now… I’m getting stronger every day and still I’m nowhere near those elites that I’ve met on the throne room… If I start being concerned about money, rent and this sort of useless stuff, I’ll lose track of myself and become just a cannon fodder on the upcoming events, and I cannot allow that! I have to grow! I have to be able to make a difference… I’ll not allow my planet, my race, my empire to suffer anymore destruction and pain! As a saiyan warrior… No! As a saiyan elite it is my duty to grow stronger every day and be able to annihilate any impending treats to our race! Those lowly alien scums will never destroy the saiyans again! And I shall be on the front line, to defend our empire, the great Saiyan Solar Empire!” he thought to himself as he flew through the skies of Cacumber Capital, with his ghostly-white aura engulfing his body, leaving a trail of energy behind him.
His destination was the imperial spaceship gravity chamber and the thought of it would be more than enough to make a huge excited smile to take over his face. His heart would pound like crazy and butterflies would fill his stomach like a festival. He landed in front of the entrance of the spaceship hangar and walked in a fast pace towards the imperial spaceship. There were two saiyan guards on its entrance. As Natto approached them, they were already familiarized with the young saiyan, and didn’t say a thing. They stepped away, letting him walk through the door. As he passed by them, Natto slightly bowed his head in a not so formal way to thank them. Natto wasn’t very versed on etiquette matters as he spent most of his live abroad, all alone, on alien planets, conquering it. It has been but a year since he actually came back to Planet Vegeta and started living among the saiyans as he fulfilled his conquering duty, being recognized as an adult.
As he got inside the gravity chamber again, he couldn’t help himself but to feel awestruck again. Even though he had been coming to that place for quite a while now, it was still amazingly impressive. To imagine that such a technology existed made him feel absolutely thrilled. ”One day I’ll have one of this at my home… Well… First, I gotta have a home to begin with… Or maybe a spaceship… I don’t know what would fit me better as I really like to travel alone in my old attack ball… Speaking of which, I don’t think it can last more than another trip… Hmmm… I should really find work someday to at least be able to buy a new spacepod… And heavy weights! After seeing how Miso got so absurdly strong with that, they are definitely a must!” He thought as he walked to the control panel on the middle of the chamber.
Upon arriving in front of the control panel, he first decided to increases gravity 30 fold that of Planet Vegeta. When he pushed the button, he felt the huge pressure of that gravity, forcing his knees to bend a little. Natto immediately had to make a great effort to stand. It wasn’t greater than the first time he used the gravity chamber, but was still hard enough every time he increased it. ”It’s so intense! I wonder how I will feel once I get strong enough to experience the maximum gravity increase capacity of this chamber! But I still have a BIG path to follow before being able to do that!” he thought to himself as he started walking around, to get his body used to the gravitational pressure that was exert upon his body.
First of all, after a couple of minutes getting used to the pressure by walking around the room, Natto started throwing punches in a quick succession on the air. While he did that, he had assumed his fighting stance, consisting of his left leg forward, both knees slightly bended and right arm near his body, fists clenched, as his left arm threw the quick jabs in the air. As soon as he finished that, he jumped high into the air, throwing a quick succession of kicks in the air, before rolling in the air, landing on his feet. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he dashed using as much impulse as he could gather throwing a sequence of jabs and haymakers on the air. Slowly his temples started sweating, which came running down his face, but it did not bother him as he kept pushing forward with the punches in the air.
Following that he, stood on the floor and started somersaulting backwards across the whole enormous chamber. It was quite hard since the gravity was so great, but he had to get his body used to the gravity for the kind of scenario he was about to set. After being satisfied with his acrobatic moves and the speed of his attacks, he started the flying laps across the room, firing his ghostly-white aura of ki energy all over his body, leaving the trail of energy behind. He started circling around the room, trying to out speed his own trail, overcoming his own speed. It was almost impossible, but little by little he was able to improve his own speed under that gravity.
”I’m starting to feel tired, but I’m getting my body used to this terrible gravity… A few more laps and I might be ready to start my training!” a huge excited smile took over his aspect as he kept pushing forward on his flying drill. After three more laps, he swiftly landed on the floor, sighing deeply. With his right hand, he dried the sweat on his forehead and temples, standing there as he recovered his breath and stamina a little. With his recovered breath, he walked towards the control panel, and started using the hard light hologram settings to choose a scenery for the main part of his training session.
”Where is it… Where is it…” he frowned his brows as he searched for that, until he found, smiling with excitement. ”Hah! Found it! The Saiyan-Tuffle War scenario!” Natto was especially excited about his training scenario as he remembered vividly the stories his father, Douchi, told him about that time period, on how the Tuffles enslaved some saiyans while exiling others to live in terrible conditions on the badlands of the then named Planet Plant. That story was one of the main motivations to Natto’s decision to embrace his saiyan heritage after the traumatizing experience in Felucia. That is why since he knew about the chamber’s capacity of making holographic illusions of places and foes; he decided to try this one when he felt confident enough.
As soon as he hit the button, the whole place began to change. First, the sky became deep red, even redder than it was nowadays. The landscape was even more of a barren wasteland than Natto could ever imagine. The place the hologram made was something like a tuffle city ruin, consisting of large destroyed buildings. Among those, there were what Natto imagined to be stores, banks, living quarters and everything else that made a city a city. War most definitely had touched that place, as it was mostly inhabitable. The young saiyan walked around it with caution as his remained silent. As the enemies were hard light holograms, they didn’t have an actual power level to be detected, which made Natto essentially blind to the treats that waited for him.
The place was silent like death and it only made Natto more nervous as he slowly walked around the place, looking all over the place in search from some sign of the tuffles. He sighed, frustrated for being unable to use his scouter. ”Back then the saiyans didn’t have access to technology… So they were just like I am… I should stop complaining… An experienced warrior should not get overly attached to gadgets to help him, otherwise if found himself in such a situation, he would be in trouble…” he reprehended himself as he was very dependent upon his own scouter. The saiyan was also impressed with the tuffle prowess as that city, even though it was in ruins, was quite impressive for something built more than 1300 years ago. ”All this technology and skill! And they were so selfish to share! Freaking bastards!!” that solo thought was enough to make him angrier as he imagined that if they were to ally themselves, they could’ve avoided the first destruction of the planet. Moreover, they could even create a huge empire that would’ve, by know lasted for millennia. ”But I would never want to share anything with such a filthy race!”.
Suddenly, a gunshot noise reached his ears, which made him dodge just barely. Followed by that first shot, a real rain of gunfire began pouring down on him from all directions. ”Goddammit! It’s an ambush!” he gritted his teeth, as he started dodging as fast as he could, dodging most of the shots using all his quick reflexes. Nevertheless, even though Natto was fast and swift, he was still in a kill zone and was hit by some shots, that made him growl in pain. – ENOUGH! – he shouted as he flew high into the skies above, getting away from the kill zone. As he reached a higher altitude, he saw the tuffles.
They were a quite weird sort of creature, being shorter than the saiyans, with bluish skin and whitish unkempt hair. They seemed to lack eyebrows and had these weird eyes with black cornea and white iris. They were all wearing some sort of old model scouter and beam rifles, and there were too many of them. It was going to be tough as, on top of being outnumbered, the heavy gravity took its tools on Natto’s body and mobility. He had to use cunning instead of sheer strength to avoid and utter defeat at the hand of his race’s primordial enemy.
First, he brought his arms to the side of his body, charging up his ki, and threw one hand after the other a total of 2 times each, firing a blue ki blast. – Disappear from sight! Continuous Energy Bullet!! – he shouted as he fired the energy, hitting perfectly on 4 tuffles that were on the roofs of the broken buildings surrounding the kill zone. They vanished as they got hit by the attack, but immediately afterwards another platoon of tuffles come up some stairs, reaching the top of those buildings, replacing the ones that just vanished. The young saiyan growled angrily and kept firing his ki blasts, vanishing one after the other but they kept on coming and soon enough their numbers were exceeding Natto’s capacity of killing them.
”They are like a plague!” he complained, as he had to change his strategy, otherwise he would be depleted of his energy in no time. The tuffles started shooting back the moment Natto’s attack stopped, and the saiyan had to start dodging it as fast as he could as the skies where taken over by a another rain of gunfire. Natto barrel rolled as he fired his ghostly-white ki aura, avoiding most of the shorts, but was still harmed by some of it, making him grimace as he felt the bothering pain of those beam rifles. He was going toward what was left of the main structure two of these buildings. As he got near them, he put his hands forward, fist clenched and, as a living rocket pierced right through the structure, making it crumble. Two of the buildings were completely demolished by that attack, killing countless tuffles with that.
However, despite being able to get rid of quite a large number of them, they were like ants, and kept on coming out of almost every single building, with those annoying rifles, firing like there was no tomorrow. ”Oh my! They are endless! No wonder we could only wipe them out at the full moon! But come on! Don’t give up just yet! They barely even hurt me…” but as he stated that on his mind, it seemed like the fate would prank him. From his behind, an energy grenade was toss, hitting him right on the mark, making a big explosion that threw him to the ground, opening a crater with the impact.
The moment he hit the ground, countless tuffles came to the newly formed kill zone, armed with tactical knifes and smaller pistol-like weapons. Natto got up as fast as he could, with his battle suit withstanding a lot of punishment, as he started punching and kicking everything around him. Even a being as fast as Natto would still be unable to avoid every hit, since the gravity was still hindering his movements, and every now and then he would give his back to some enemy, who would seize the opportunity to injure him.
As he finished vanishing the ones on melee distance, he started to turn around firing ki blasts all around the area do defeat the ones on the middle to far distance as fast as he could. The other tuffles were all gathering on the two remaining rooftops of the buildings that were still standing high up preparing some sort of cannon. Natto saw it with the corner of his eye and pretended not to notice, as he cleaned up the ground area from the enemies. When he almost finished vanishing all of them, he read the shot and without any delay flew high up into the sky flaring his ki aura all around his body. He managed to dodge the explosion swiftly as he flew up, charging his right hand with a bluish flame-like energy.
The young saiyan smirked as he noticed the desperate look on the tuffles faces, as he charged forward against them. He was hit a few times from gunfires, but he ignored the pain as he dodged another cannon shot with a skillful barrel roll, hiting the building with his energy punch, destroying its structure and making it crumble to the ground and Natto kept on flying forward stretching his arms toward the next building.
– It’s the end for you! Tyrant Lancer!! – he shouted as he fired the great energy wave. The hit was followed by a huge explosion that completely destroyed the last building, getting rid of all the rooftops who could pose as an advantageous position to that filthy race of blue skinned rats. The ones that remained on the ground started running away for their lives, filling Natto’s heart with pride. ”Run for your lives, you miserable rats! If you were any other race I would spare you… But you tuffles deserve nothing but total annihilation! I will not let any of you get away from me!!!” with that in mind, he flew towards them as fast as he could, maneuvering through the small buildings that made the ruins of that city.
Natto started breathing heavily as he was starting to get tired of all the effort combined with the intense gravity of 30 times that of Planet Vegeta. ”Dunno how long this simulation will last… I’m starting to get exhausted.” he thought to himself, as he already dealt with quite a lot of tuffles. The number of causalities were more than enough for a regular battle on a war, so he was pretty sure this drill was about to be over soon, but what was waiting for him ahead? In truth, the remaining tuffles, recognizing that they were no match for that saiyan, were luring him to a new trap, the last ace up their sleeves for that particular battle.
The saiyan reached some sort of open square where the 12 remaining tuffles stood; pointing the rifles towards him, but another thing caught his attention. There was some sort of robot behind them, being set up by one of them. Natto’s brows arched as he stared at that robot puzzled by what he was supposed to do. As he couldn’t figure out fast enough, he shrugged. ”Screw that… I’m gonna destroy this whole place anyway…” he thought to himself as he dashed forward, landing a destructive elbow into one of the tuffles, before any of them could even react. Instantly, Natto vanished, reappearing behind another one sledgehammering him to the ground, opening a hole into it. He kicked back, eliminating another two of them, before dashing forward to another couple of tuffles, killing one with a hook to the gut and the other with a haymaker to the face. Following that he stretched his arm, palm opened and started firing ki blasts, one by one, eradicating the rest of them.
Now there was only the one setting up the robot and the robot itself left. Natto walked toward them, charging another ki blast with his hand and when he got only 5 feet away from them, he fired the ki blast, targeting the last tuffle. However, to his surprise, the robot activated and deflected the blast with his arm, sending it flying toward a building nearby, exploding it. Natto smirked, as it had all been too easy for up to now.
– It seems I’m about to have some fun! It was about time… I’m already getting tired with this insane gravity! Come face me, you piece of scrap metal! Hahaha! – he chuckled as he took his fighting stance for just a second before dashing towards the robot punching him to the face. The robot, however, grabbed Natto’s fist with its hand, being dragged through the street due to the impact, but resisting quite well. He countered with a punch, to which Natto blocked with his other hand. The saiyan, then, rolled out of his grasp and kicked the robot to the face with a roundhouse kick, throwing it into a building on the other side of that square.
– There it goes… And now… - he stopped his sentence as he looked to the last remaining tuffles, who was trembling in fear. He started screaming something, but before Natto could even figure out what he meant, he killed him with a haymaker to the face. The saiyan sighed again, feeling tired as he expected that the simulation would end, but was taken by surprise with a tremendous energy blast to his back, that sent him flying like a puppet across the square, only stopping when his body hit a building, making it crumble.
He felt quite a lot of pain in his body and as he tried to quickly get up, the gravity made his body feel so heavy that he faltered for a while. This opening was more than enough for the robot to close it in, throwing a powerful punch to his face, making him fall to the ground again. As he fell, the robot stepped on him, making him scream in pain. The robot pushed him down to the ground, making it crack little by little as Natto struggled to get up. ”Goddammit! His strength and this annoying gravity are too much!! I have to make a way to escape it!” as he thought, he immediately came up with an idea: he couldn’t get up because of the heavy weight of the robot and the intense gravity, but he could escape from down below. Natto punched the ground, making a huge crater appear and as the robot lost its ground, he flew away with his ki aura, as fast as he could. His body was all sore because of the time he spent in that augmented gravity, but he was about to finish this damn training session right now!
Natto took a spin in the air, flanking the robot as he charged his attack. His hand was burning with his powerful ki energy gathered in a flame-like state, as he approached. The robot tried to hit him with another blast, but he deflected it with his left arm, in a punch-like motion. His left arm was injured but he managed to avoid being hit straight to the face, which would cause him serious trouble, and that was enough as he got into melee range.
– Say good bye, annoying thing! Tyrant Lancer!!! – he growled as he hit the target with his energy punch in a destructive uppercut, sending him flying up in the air, spinning. Natto immediately stretched his right arm, firing the blue energy wave that hit the target right on the mark, making it blow into pieces. ”Hehehe… What dirty fireworks!” he thought as the pieces started falling onto the ground, slowly vanishing, as the hard-light hologram vanished completely. Everything went quite for a couple seconds and Natto stayed alert, hovering above the ground. It was over. It was finally over and he could rest now.
The young saiyan landed on his knees seeking for his breath as he endlessly panted. His heart racing like crazy, while the illusion of the ancient Planet Plant slowly vanished, signing that he had finished his training session. Natto gathered his remaining strength to get up and walk toward the control panel, as he carved for setting the artificial gravity off. ”Phew… That was intense… But I’m finally grabbing the grasp of it!” he thought, feeling really proud with himself. A few weeks ago, he could never have imagined that he would be training in such intense conditions, but now it was becoming quite normal.
Deep inside, he was feeling really happy. Even though it was an illusion, he felt that, somehow, he avenged the saiyan race by defeating all those holographic tuffles. His confidence rose as he came to realize that if the saiyans were as strong as they are today in the past, they could never be defeated by the planet trade organization, that blew Vegeta for the first time. Moreover, they would get even stronger to the point of nothing being able to stand in their way ever again.
As he finished the training session, he walked towards the exit of the spaceship in a slow pace. His energy were very low, meaning that he wouldn’t be able to fly in his regular speed, being restricted to a slow hover, but it was alright anyway. He had achieved his goal for the time.
