Twas night out. The darkness hung in the air, smothering all light in the vicinity. All light but one. Near him, a burning barrel was lit. A group of young people surrounded it, warming their hands and making deals with one another. What were these deals one might ask? Well, drug dealing. The dealers were tricking some of these people, some teenagers, into taking drugs, making promises that they will improve performance in school, and make all the pain go away. Twas a lie he knew. The drugs did nothing but destroy your mind and body. They were addictive, and took a year, if not two, of rehab to get off. Even after rehab, the people still weren't the same. They were scarred for life, both physically and emotionally. Their careers, or future plans, were smashed into dust, and thus, depending on the drug, they either went back to the drug, or committed suicide. It was a terrible cruelty, and for what? Happiness? Money? All things that didn't matter in the long run. He had been watching the location for a few nights, picking out the drug dealers from the buyers. The location was a little out west from West Capital, where he had made his base of operations. He suspected they had left the area due to his meddling in their affairs. He had already killed quite a few of the drug dealers in the city, quite a few. To his surprise, he had noted that there was only a few dealers. Most people there were buyers. How the law had yet to crack down on this place, was an amazement to him. Just goes to show how inefficient the law enforcement was. If he was Chief of Police, he would've had no troubles finding this location and shutting it down. Though, perhaps the police were batting an eye? If they were, he would definitely have to have a talk with the chief. With the gracefulness of a cat. He jumped off the tree he had been resting on, and allowed himself to fall to the ground, landing silently. His suit camouflaging him in the dark, hiding him from any viewers, he slowly pulled an arrow out of his quiver, and notched it to his bow. He pulled back his right arm, bringing the string back with it. He pulled it back to full draw, took aim at the nearest dealer, and fired. The arrow flew off with a thrum, and hit the dealer in the forehead, dropping him to the ground, lifeless. Before any of the bystanders could react, three more arrows were fired, all finding there mark in the head of three dealers. They crumpled to the ground, dead, the arrows glistening in the firelight as they stuck out of them. The people around started to panic, shocked by what just happened. A few screamed, and they began to run away from the scene, scared to death. With a cold expression on his face, he walked over to the bodies, and pulled the arrows out of the heads. They were still useful for him, and he didn't have much time these days to make new ones. Ever since the attack on West Capital, crime had run rampant, especially looting. Thankfully he was there to put a stop to most of the crimes at night, but he couldn't stop all of them, and by day time, he was definitely exhausted. Quickly, he pulled the wallets out of the dealers pockets, and stuffed them into his nearby bag. It wasn't like they were going to need them anyway. They were dead, and he had killed him. Besides, he needed the money to live. Well, he was already rich from past missions, but he still needed the money. Suddenly, he stood up, getting a feeling he was being watched. His eyes narrowed, he began to analyze the area for any stragglers. mitochon

Mitochon slowly made its way through the quiet night, walking at a pace too casual and relaxed for the supposed dangers of the night life. Well, it's not that it was a threat to the Bio-Android. It was too alien and too bizarre to be an appealing target for whatever criminal filth dwelled in the dark streets, and even if that were not the case, it was far too strong for the average human.
And to add even more, it was the predator here. It wasn't here to sightsee anything in these dim alleyways. Its mission, its goal, was the same as always - ascension. Beyond its current form, and onwards to perfection. A highly ambitious, long-term goal, to which progress was being made bit by bit.
In this particular case, through the absorption of unfortunate night-dwellers. There was a surprising amount of people passing by, doing whatever it is that they were up to. Getting rid of such shady, suspicious people; Mitochon was probably doing the world a favor.
Maybe half a dozen folk made their way through its thick tail tonight. It rarely bothered to keep count. It never mattered, because the benefits were marginal and not worth keeping track of. The numbers were many, and yet they were tiny. A lot of the time, the benefit was less than even 'one'. With the amount of scientists it had absorbed, it may have been able to actually keep track of it, but it simply didn't wish to.
That would be just a waste of effort.
It heard screams. Mitochon turned towards them on its tiny feet, and briskly made its way there. A few youngsters were running away from something. Maybe things got serious somewhere and people died, which spooked them into this kind of a wild retreat. Could have been an accident. It didn't really matter.
The Bio-Android swooped in like a hawk after the fleeing people, tail plucking the slowest runners away. In their panic, the others didn't even notice. By the time they had, it was too late. The whole process took barely a minute. Just like that, the young men who were supposedly saved from the dangers of the streets, met their end.
Mitochon continued its relaxed stroll. Where a barrel was lit up and left to warm the surroundings, it spotted more dead people. Seeing them lie around like that, unused and worthless, sparked its sense of pity. It didn't want them to decay into waste while they could be utilized to further its cause. Greed joined pity; it saw that the bodies were recent, so they could still be used.
It saw a man next to them; probably the killer. The guy looked peculiar, and wielded weapons that were unusual for the modern age. Mitochon thought the person to be irrelevant. Him needing to rely on weapons must have indicated mediocrity. The dead ones took priority, as they wouldn't remain useful for long.
So it simply walked on past him, for now. The man seemed like just a human, like many others. It instead stopped by the burning barrel, tail rising and quivering in something resembling anticipation. There was always a bit of a thrill in performing the act. Maybe the programming that was imbrued into its thought processes caused such an emotion to crop up whenever it came closer to its ultimate goal; Mitochon never dwelled on it, and instead simply enjoyed itself.
The heavy tail would split itself at the tip, and then set itself on one of the supposed drug dealers' shoulder. With a bulge of the muscles, flesh would be sucked in, gradually and slowly, quickly pulling the man through it. The miniature teeth would then begin the conversion process, turning skin, muscle and bone into protein-filled goo, and then spreading it among the Bio-Android's cells.
With the first person absorbed, Mitochon actually did turn to face the vigilante, baring its sharp teeth in a malicious smirk. It waited silently, wondering what he would do, if anything. It thought that if he decided to flee, it should disable him right now, rather than try and chase after him later.
It did nothing to conceal its hostility; it saw no need for that, highly confident in its ability.

One by one, he could hear the screams of those who had ran away from the scene being cut short. Their life force, ki, began to wink off slowly. One by one he could feel people dying, and he wasn’t able to do anything about it. He could sense whoever, or whatever was causing this terror. The energy felt, ambitious and evil, as if the person who held that energy wished nothing more than its own… success. The energy was also huge, nearly three times the output of his own energy. Whatever it was he knew he wouldn’t be able to stop it, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try and stop the monstrosity. He stood to his full height of 6’3, the firelight framing his lean, athletic build. He was tempted to put out the fire, but he wanted to see whatever he was facing first. Afterwards, he’d take the fire out, and then, then he would be right at home in the darkness. It would be hard for whoever it was that was slowly approaching him. Well, that is if whoever it was didn’t have the ability to sense the life force of other beings. He expected whoever it was, was human. He still wasn’t able to tell the life force of species apart. Well, advanced species. He knew whenever it was a squirrel or deer. But, he couldn’t tell the difference between a Saiyan, Human, Arcosian, or a Namekian. He’d have to work on his ability to use ki. That was his only weakness, his ki. He had, despite his genius, always been poor at it. He heard the rustling of grass, signifying the arrival of the murderous, possibly psychopathic ki user. By the loudness of the sound, the murderer was about ten, maybe twelve, feet away. He could make out the silhouette of the figure in the dim firelight. The figure was, to his own surprise, rather small. It was about the size of a child, a young one at that. This surprised him. Was this not a human? Perhaps it was something far more sinister, what could it be? He did not know. He sheathed his bow across his back, and pulled out his bastard sword. The light from the fire causing it to glint. The sword was heavy, and could be use with both hands, but he fully intended to use it with one. With his free left hand, he pulled out a throwing knife, ready to use if the figure decided to attack him. He allowed his sword arm to relax, letting the sword drop down by his side. As the figure came closer into the firelight, he could make out a lot more detail. First off the… thing was not human. He could tell because it had green, small scales covering its entire body. Behind it, a tail about the size of the owner protruded. The tail appeared to be very pointy. The bio-androids, as he suspected that this is what the thing was, face stuck out past the neck, giving it the look of a reptile. The figure would’ve generated terror for most humans, but for him, it just generated a plethora of curiosity So, he allowed it to walk right past him, towards the dead bodies. He was curious as to what the creation would do to the lifeless bodies of the drug dealers. And besides, if they were absorbed while dead, it wouldn’t really do anything. Hell, if they were alive he couldn’t care less if the bio-android had absorbed them. The only thing that angered him, was the fact the android had absorbed innocent people, and some of them had their entire lives in front of them. So, he watched as the bio-android walked up to a dead body, it’s tail raising, seemingly shaking. It was hungry he realized, it needed to feed. He watched as the pointed top of the tail split apart into fours. He watched as it darted toward the dead man, and from his point of view, sucked the man straight into the tail, causing it to bulge. After the deed was done, the bio-android turned to face him. He expertly twirled his sword in his hand, bringing it up just a bit so that the point of the sword flashed and pointed at the beast's neck. With his free hand, he held the throwing knife loosely, ready to throw it if the beast made any sudden movements. He began to infuse the throwing knife with ki, making it more effective. To those familiar with ki blasts, the knife would do about the same amount of damage. He glared with his piercing blue eyes at the beast, ready to take it down no matter the cost. This thing could not be allowed to roam around any longer. If it did, it could possibly mean the destruction of Earth, something he did not want to happen. Still glaring at the beast, he spoke, “You killed those people.” it was not a question, rather a statement, “I advise you leave now. Otherwise I will deal with you.”
OOC: Well, if that doesn't sound badass, than I don't know what does. Lol. Good luck on your next post.
