*Thread Powerlevel: 11,663* Kaula Far above the clouds, in geosynchronous orbit, the legendary Lookout of God floated. Inhabited by Kami and his students, it was a place where the defenders of Earth would gather throughout history. Right now, however, the sky around it was to be the training grounds for a pair of fighters. Down on the surface of the Lookout, the living tree, Walker, was stretching. His limbs extended, twisting, then reformed. Taking to the skies, he looked about. It was calm and blue, and the wind spun gently past his body. The weighted clothing he wore had taken the form of armor, a dull grey set of bracers and a half-chest-piece. Crossing his arms, he looked around for Kaula. The young Saiyan had been quite helpful during the incident with Booberry, and though he was weaker than she, fighting weaker opponents wouldn't increase his strength. He had asked her about training, and she had accepted. Of course, he had never actually specified a time, now that he thought about it. Perhaps she was hanging out with Rei. That seemed to be why she had followed him back to the Lookout. Now that he thought about it, maybe he should have asked Scargot about taking people back to the floating island.

*Thread Powerlevel: 14,029* (Did I do it right?) Kaula sighed. She wasn't far off from the tree guy, behind him for now. She was a bit anxious, being so high up in the sky, but she got her mind off it bhy wondering how all these square tiles made a circle.. Odd.. When were they going to start..? Was it now..? Or did she have to wait for him to say something. Or maybe she was the one who had to initiate it. She pondered this as she simply stood on her hands, her tanktop having l-.. Ris-... From the current perspective, lowered, to show off her toned midsection, her short's leg-sleeves bunching up a little bit too. She just hummed to herself for now. Maybe he had been waiting for her..? Did he even know she was here?
And calling her helpful would be kinda bullshit. It seemed she wasn't even really trying for that fight, though that bruise she got on her cheek seemed to be healing nicely. Well, if Barkington wasn't going to start the fun, then she would, as she artfully started to prance towards him while walking on her hands till she was a few feet behind him. "SURPRISE!" she readied herself, aiming her feet at the back of Walker's head. "KICK!" she said before trying to launch herself off the ground with her feet in an attempt to get a hard kick in on the Bio-Android. She was a sneaky monkey, that's for sure.

The tree was not expecting the feet to his head, but once he realized the fight had begun in earnest, he reacted quickly. Curling inward, the next kick slammed into his back, doing little damage. Yelling "Kick!" loudly was probably a poor choice for a surprise attack. Grinning, the Bio-Android cut his flight suddenly, dropping like a log. After a second of freefall, he arced back upward and around, separating himself from the half-saiyan. "Sneaky, Kaula, but if you really want to be stealthy, screaming is a poor tactic." Cracking his knuckles, he settled into a stance, and made the "Come on" gesture. With a glow from his mouth, the Razor Yggdrasil began to charge.
His speaking a bit muffled, Walker called out "Area attack dodging. Let's see how you do. This is just a snap fire, so you should be fine even if it hits you." It helped that she was probably a little stronger than he was, as well. Even so, it was good to get this practice in. Most attacks were smaller, concise beams, or disks, or orbs. A splintering attack that covered a wide area was significantly harder to dodge if you weren't prepared. With a roar, the tree-like attack burst outward, blooming from his maw with a crack. The energy pulsed at the end, then split, over and over, a massive canopy of glowing, leafless branches. Walker felt a little guilty about this at first, but trying to train without danger yielded pathetic results.

Kaula pouted a bit as she launched off of his back and back to the ground, resuming her handstands as she moved to try to put some distance between the two. She just stared at the creature, who was upside down to her. "But being quiet is what people expect! No one expects you to yell your moves out loud." she said as she giggled a little bit. "And you won't expect what I'm going to do next." she said before she noticed the glow. That didn't look good at all. So she decided to back up a little bit more.
"Oh.. So.." she paused in thought. She didn't really understand what the hell a Snap fire even was was. "Snap fire.." she mumbled, "Is it.. Fire with hands.. That snaps fingers..?" she asked herself, narrowing her eyes al ittle bit. She was clearly confused. That was, when he roared out, the attack was happening! She had to get her gears going if she planned on dodging them all! "Nyaaaaah!" she'd say as she sorta "hopped" on a hand to narrowly avoid a single branch, which almost made her hop right into another one. She went to launch herself with that hand over another branch before landing on her feet, and thus doing a half-cartwheel to avoid another branch and get on her hands again. "Heh. This is eas-" she was cut off as she was hit right in the gut by another branch! The poor girl falling onto her back, eyes closed! ... Maybe he misjudged her. She seemed pretty out of it. Maybe she was hurt!

As the girl fell dramatically through the air, the beam having caught her in the stomach, the tree floated for a second, watching. With a shake of his head, he cupped his hands, and yelled out "Stop trying to fake injuries, that couldn't possibly have been enough to harm you, Miss Kaula." Pausing a moment, he watched the female Saiyan, just in case he really had misunderstood. Shrugging, he darted forward, fists drawn back. "I truly hope you are not injured, because if you are, I will feel quite bad about this." Bringing his fist around, he aimed an uppercut. If the girl was faking, she could easily dodge. If not, well... it would make her rocket further back up, at least. Flying backward, he paused in mid-air, intending to check the results of his attack, and whether the girl had responded yet. She was a fan of the sneaky approach, it had been proven as much. "You know, if I used a technique that fired and exploded, I could have simply destroyed you from a distance. If you fought another, less friendly absorber, like Rei's dark half, they would simply have eaten you. Faking injuries is not always a good strategy, and if you truly are injured, it would be best to hide, not just lay there."

Her ears twitched as he heard him first talk. Damnit. She thought she was being convincing with the whole thing! Though, she noted how he was doing nothing currently. That certainly was a good sign. At least, that's how she saw it. However he charged at her. She peaked with an eye open.. Looked like he was going for an uppercut. Odd choice, considering how she was laying on the ground. Regardless, she leapt into action, jumping away to, you guessed it, land on her hands again.
Kaula just glared at him, "It can sometimes work.." she said with a pout, lifting a hand up to scratch at her stomach for a moment so she seemed to be on only one hand. "That thing kinda itched." she mumbled out with a soft pout. She sighed, letting herself fall to the ground then so she could simply stand up, stretching slowly. "Right. My turn? ... My turn!" she'd say before pushing off the ground to leap towards him, charging energies in her hand before they came out in the shape of her green, curved blade. She was fully planning on trying to slash at Walker, aiming for his chest, of course.

As expected, the faked injury was a ruse. However, this did not really solve the problem of the sudden energy sword being swung in his direction. With little time to dodge, he made a quick decision. Bringing his leg up, he blocked the blade's trajectory toward his chest. Blocked might be a strong word for a movement that resulted in his limb being cut nearly in half. Hissing in pain, he pressed the two parts together, retwisting the roots to hold it in place while it healed. "I'll be fine, keep going." It was unpleasant, but muscles got stronger through use. He suspected the same was true of his regeneration, and he wanted to have that safeguard in the strongest condition it was possible to have it in. Still, he was now a leg down. He was hovering above the Lookout, so walking wasn't exactly mandatory, but it was an obvious blow to his capabilities. Floating higher again, he kept away from Kaula for a second, hands raised. With a sudden crack of his limbs, he lept sideways, firing off a simple Ki blast and then climbing upwards once more. Moving around,he began firing off punches, his limbs extending outward to far greater lengths. The ends of his arms uncurled, the roots that comprised his limbs uncurled and ramrod straight, like a bundle of spears. This attack could be potentially painful, but it benefited them both. Walker was practicing hitting properly and repeatedly with it, and Kaula would learn how to dodge unexpected attacks, or if she had been expecting it, given a chance to counter.

She had fully planned on keeping it going, the blade dissipated after the first strike. She didn't like having it up for an extended period of time, usually drained her a bit. She hopped back some, watching him start to regenerate. Nice. "You sure you'll be fine..?" she asked with a chuckle.
Damn him. He was gaining distance. And she had no way to counter it, as she didn't have anything ranged to use! That was when she noticed his limbs extend, an idea popped into her head. She just had to.. Dodge.. The attacks. She got ready, dodging the first before wasting no time! She went to step onto the extended limb! She'd start trying to climb up the limb, fully intending on getting closer to walker, a fist formed and at the ready. If she got within range, she'd leap at him, trying to bring BOTH hands down in an attempt to smack the creature down.. And possibly hurting her hands in the process, since he WAS made out of bark.

As the young semi-saiyan snagged his arm, moving along the wood, the tree was surprised for a second. Then, he was impressed. "Quick thinking, but..." Bringing his other arm back, he struck quickly along the first limb, the fist slamming toward the girl. This was not enough to stop the high-blow, however. Taking the double punch to the head, he fell downwards a bit, then spun, redirecting the remaining momentum into a vicious thai kick to the other fighter's side.
Moving back again, he set his hands wide. Extending his arms quickly, he began spinning himself, then launched forward, trying to hit the girl with the rapid punches he was firing off. Even if it missed, it would make it hard for her to hit him for a moment. Snapping his arms back in suddenly, he cut his flight, falling straight downward. In his mouth, he began to charge a Maw Razor, the energy building. Aiming his head, he fired it upwards, hoping that Kaula would be chasing after him, thus running straight into the energy technique.

Kaula ran right into the fist, grunting out as she did. Damn thing.. Was impressively strong, for a tree. At least she managed to get the hit in! The Saiyan grinned. Right, she had him where she wanted him. ... Wait, what was her plan again? She started to think, floating there for a few moments before she remembered! She was simply playing this by ear! Might as well continue to do that!
But sadly, as she was lost in her thought, he started to do that extendo-arm thing to punch her a bit, disrupting the Saiyan's thought process.. If you could consider it that. "H-hey! I'm thinking here!" she'd shout out with a pout. Now where w-.. Wait.. Was he charging something..? she paused for a few moments to stare down at him. Oh.. Yes he was. She grunted, not even able to dodge it completely, and taking a hit to the side, which she had attempted to block.
As Kaula started to fall back to the ground, she realized something. He was fighting at a ranged position.. So she might as well do that too.. But, she didn't have any thing to combat him with! There was a pause. She got an idea. If she didn't have any range techniques.. She could make her own! "Perfect!" she'd shout out at that moment, flipping through the air to land heavily on her feet. She went to bring a hand back, seemingly gathering her green-colored ki in it for a few moments before flinging it. Apparently she didn't charge it enough.. Or she just sucked at throwing, because the green Ki ball went a foot or two before falling to the ground and dissipating. ".. I think if I try again.. I can do better next time.."
((It cool if I learn my new N1 tech in this thread, Tokoz..? xD))

This new development was interesting enough to cause Walker to pause in his assault. He wasn't the type to hold back, even while training. It was his belief that extreme training was a good idea, and replicating a real battle the best way to prepare for one. Still, Kaula had been fighting entirely in melee until now. Such tactics could and would fail against a more ranged opponent. Even in melee combat, Walker's extra reach made him fall squarely into that category. Nodding his assent, the Bio-android floated backwards, crossing his arms behind his back as he waited.
As he did so, the tree's Ki gathered. "I hope you don't mind, but I will likely try to block your attack. I don't wish to be blown in half by something unexpected, after all." Cracking his knuckles, he leaned inward, aiming his mouth at the girl above him in the sky. If she wanted to learn a ranged attack, it would be worth it to test it's mettle. "Come on, then! Fire away, Miss Kaula!" With a roar, he called out "MAW RAZOR!" The jagged arc of energy lept forward, expanding from his mouth like a rainbow of pain. A painbow. Walker, thankfully, immediately realized how stupid this sounded, and resolved to never vocalize that word ever. As it soared toward the half-saiyan, Walker called out once more. "Come on now, Miss Kaula! You're a saiyan, aren't you? Blast my attack out of the sky!" As much as it was a test of his own skills, this spar was intended to force Kaula into greater heights as well.
(Also, I realized I did not mention this officially in the first post, but he does have his Weights on. I said "The weighted armor he wore", but I didn't want to edit the first post for fear of being called a cheater)

Kaula was disappointed. She tried coming up with a new technique and.. That was all she had managed to get? That was just lame sauce to the max. With a soft pout, she looked to her hands again, maybe she could get close enough again to start pounding on him. That could work, right? She glanced back up towards Walker, who was now floating away! Was he trying to run!?
Wait.. No.. He seemed to be charging an attack again. Crap baskets. She could dodge it, but she had an idea. She was under pressure. Under pressure to annihilate his incoming attack. She could do this! She was an elite saiyan, god damn it! she brought her hands back, growling out as she began to focus her Ki again, gathering it in her hands.
Her emerald eyes were dead-set on the arc of energy heading straight towards her now. Walker yelled something at her, but she wasn't concentrating on listening. She thought about making up some snappy name for this soon-to-be new to her attack, alas.. She didn't have the time. Kaula soon raised her arms up, what seemed to be multiple balls of green ki in her hands, three in each. Kaula prepared herself before throwing each of them, one at a time as she started to move back. As the green balls traveled, they expanded to become bigger in size, each one roughly twice the size of a basketball. Now this! This barrage of power! This was an attack worthy of a Saiyan, likely stopping the razor dead in it's tracks, even if her attacks didn't break through.
Kaula stood there for a moment before pausing to point up at the walking tree, "I hope you're ready! Because my next attack.. No. My next barrage will be stronger then that one! So prepare yourself, Barkington!" she shouted out. There she went with the nickname again.
((Psh, it's cool.)) ((N1 Agitato Barrage learned~))

The barrage and the razor collided in mid-air, exploding in a dramatic show of light. A couple of the ki blasts arced past, but it seemed to be wide enough that Walker was unaffected. Waving at Kaula, the Bio-Android smiled. "Excellent, excellent. That was well done indeed!" If those had actually impacted him, it likely would have hurt. Still, he was proud of what they were accomplishing. Cracking his knuckles, he swung his arms back and forth, waiting. As he did, however, a thought was occurring. It was not yet necessary, but he might need to deflect a full-power blast from her. Kaula did not seem the type to hold back, and he was sure this was likely to end with them both covered with cuts and bruises. She had already leveled up, so to speak, when she managed that barrage.
As he waited for her to gather Ki, he considered his available techniques. Maw Razor would not work to block another blast, as any stronger attacks would break right through. He began to gather Ki again, this time focusing on the splitting nature of Razor Yggdrasil. It really was unfortunate that he had to charge it for so long to achieve it's full result, though. Frowning, the tree considered how he drew energy together. Perhaps.. perhaps there was a more efficient way to do this.

Kaula huffed out after that attack. It was tiresome, making moves on the fly. But she did it. Though, something bugged her. She didn't like how weak it was. She could very easily make it stronger. She stared back up at Walker, and she just might have to, since it didn't seem like he planned on coming down any time soon. She closed her eyes, concentrating.. Oh hey, she thought of her name for the first attack. Agitato Barrage. She didn't know how she came up with it, but it had simply stuck in her head. Wait! She needed to get back into her thought-process, slowly taking in a breath. "Right.. Hope you're ready.. This one won't.." she growled out a bit, the talking distracted her a bit as she tried making her attack stronger. Trying to push more power into it in the same time frame as she did the first one, "This one.. Is kinda new.." she grumbled before she held her hands out in a similar manner.
This time, it was already different. The smallish green Ki-balls before had multiplied. There were six in each hand now, effectively doubling what she had the last time. "Because.. I'm still holding back a bit.. But you won't be able to beat this, I bet." she grumbled, pulling her hands back slowly. She could do this. She knew she can.
It was at that moment, the girl leapt back again, throwing all the balls mid-air once more. They flew for a bit before expanding, leaving a comet's trail in their wake as the now TEN volley ball-sized balls soared through the air, right for the tree. Kaula seemed almost giddy at that fact. She felt like a genius, coming up with this. "Ahaha! He'll never be able to block this! It'll be hilarious watching him dodge all of these! My last one was easy! It was just my Agitato Barrage. But now this? This!? This is my FURIOSO Barrage. And I bet I can make my next attack EVEN STRONGER!" she shouted out before giggling like a little lunatic. She sure did like fighting.

Eyes wide, Walker was extremely glad he had been charging his attack. With a desperate roar, he let out a blast of energy. The familiar energy of Razor Yggdrasil poured forth, the splitting energy piercing the various Ki orbs. However, Kaula's attack was more concentrated. Several of the orbs smashed through the branches, and one of them managed to hit him square in the chest. Walker was blown back, managing to catch himself. Holding his chest, a laugh bubbled up. If those had all hit, he would likely have been a lot worse. Still, she had powered up the barrage so quickly. "Heh. Good, but not quite good enough. I'm about to push myself, Miss Kaula."
In actuality, this was not quite as one-sided as he was trying to make it seem. Kaula seemed to run on pride, and damaging that pride would provoke anger. If she was going to craft a full-power technique, it was likely there would have to be at least a bit of anger induced force in there. However, he was too focused on provoking her to come up with a better attack strategy. Really, all he could think of was to charge Razor Yggdrasil more. The current way he was doing it was too slow. Still, he had performed the move enough. It was his signature technique, really. The flow of energy was familiar... the path just needed to be big enough to handle the river that was about to course down it.
Beckoning at her, he spread his arms wide. "Come on, I know you can do better. We may not be dodging, like a real battle, but I must ask...are you really trying?" He would have to apologize, afterwards. This felt very rude, and it was a bit mortifying to here such inflammatory words spoken to a friend. Still, if anything would make her go full force, this would.
