((Thread #4 in timeline; Takes place between Oroboros Meeting and ‘Prestige’. Sorry, these are my notes lol Sorry it's short btw - hungry! Oh, btw heavy weights!))
Have you ever tried trekking across miles of sand and heat, exhausted from no food, over strain on the body with injuries? It sucked. Damn near dragging her feet, was Zerori, sliding tracks behind her that were soon overtaken by the wind scattering the grains. All over her were burns from her previous training and trying to climb out from the sand coffin she almost buried herself in. Her face was the image of a death, gaunt with red blisters all over her body. She would have done more first aid to try and quell some of the burns, but her provisions were running out and she’d been doing everything possible to keep hold of the case in her hands.
When she’d finally had enough her knees buckled beneath her, hitting the sand like bowling balls onto concrete. She managed to move her face to the side, giving her room to breathe… if she’s loved to do so.
“Sh… Shit,” She whispered, her energy nearly all but depleted. Her vision faded in and out but not once did her hand let go of the case from its vice-like grip. Obviously she didn’t want to lose her money she risked life and limb for. “It was worth it,” She groaned, trying to move but failing miserably at it, “-So… So… worth it.”
Her vision faded, leaving her to wander a void in dreamless sleep. --- .. . When next she awoke, pain had her groan in pain loudly. She was still in the desert, with sand all around her, but it was freezing. Night had passed into day obviously and she was starting to regain her senses. Moving her arms, though they protested, she struggled to lift herself from the ground and onto her feet. She let out a hiss when she almost staggered to the ground again, “C’mon, stand damn it!” With a final step, she took in her surroundings again. If she didn’t make it to some sort of town soon, she would probably freeze to death out here.
Experimentally, she raised a shaking hand to call fire forth. When she received silence as a response, she couldn’t help but scoff, “Figures…” Still unknown about her other options, she resigns to just continue walking until her body gave out again. She could recuperate in between passing out - so long as she didn't die. Which we all know how easy that is, She mused sarcastically to herself.

Soaring above the desert grounds, Agarutz hunted for a new place to train. From what he knew, toughing through situations such as the lack of proper food and water could potentially aid in strengthening him to some degree. At the very least it would build up his tolerance to such deficiencies, thus making him more effective on the battlefield. While he decided to deprive himself of basic needs during his training he kept with him some supplies for the flight out. Currently he held a canteen that he found lying around and had filled it with water. Food failed to be an issue as there were plenty of insects and small reptiles lying around the desert that made for nice snacks. The idea was to survive for as long as he could before he felt like death would soon draw near if he did not drink. At that point he would fly out to a lake and fill up. He decided to mark the direction he came from with a stick once he arrived at a suitable location as he traveled out from a lake in the first place, and such place is where he filled the canteen. Onward his flight continued at reasonable pace, heading for an unknown destination. The only problem with this entire situation was he needed to do something with the canteen so that he did not have it with him. In other words, he needed to give it away before he could begin his survival session in the desert. "Why does setting up a partially extreme training session need to be so complicated? Why can't I just find somebody out here that needs water or something?" As he said these words, she appeared in to his sight.
A figure struggled to move across the desert, and maintained an extremely exhausted appearance as it stooped over from time to time. Assuming this action was to catch its breath, Agarutz payed attention as he got closer. The figure collapsed before quickly scrambling back to its feet. As he came closer to the figure, he made out a feminine body type. His prayers had been answered as he spotted somebody who likely needed the water he had to offer. She bolstered a tail that swayed freely in the desert wind as she walked, the dust stroking it roughly. If she made herself out to be a Saiyan then it made absolutely no sense to allow your tail to stand freely. He flew by her and clearly could tell that she needed at the very least something to drink. Seeing his opportunity to get rid of his extra water he landed next to her. "Need something to drink?" He held the canteen out for her to take at her leisure. "You look weary. I am Agarutz, and I am a Saiyan warrior." He studied her intently which very easily could have been taken the wrong way. He most certainly desired to avoid the misconception of checking her out as this was not his current task. What he was doing was measuring her. Attempting to judge her speed in strength as he lacked a scouter or the ability to sense ki. For the time being his method would have to suffice. He observed the slit irises and took note that she must be a hybrid of some sort. What that hybrid side to her was he failed to see. He supposed that he needed to ask her, but he needed to gain the information without sounding strange. "I came here with my mother from Planet Vegeta to go sight seeing. She is dead now as some monster exterminated her. I am on my way to train in the desert or at least that is the plan." The low pitch to his voice traveled across the desert sand like an ocean wave as he spoke to her. He indeed began to think about changing plans depending on how she felt about the situation. For now he intended to stick with his original idea. Perhaps she might even train with him, but only time would tell the outcome of this encounter. "Perhaps you could tell me about yourself? Why are you attempting to traverse this desert singe-handed with no supplies? Have you simply run out or is there more purpose to this than my eyes can see?"
What he refused to do; however, was let this woman get in the way of his struggle to increase his own strength. Regardless of whatever his emotions might tell him in the future, but as he studied her he could tell that she would pose no threat to him and therefore decided to sit down and chat for a little while. "Please, sit and rest yourself. You are tired, and if you need something to eat then let me know and I shall go grab a little creature to eat. I may just do so anyways." He added calmly to the lines of dialogue uttered before. He kept a calm and composed stature to himself. Even as they sat, he sat upright. Now he awaited her response in anticipation of what she might say to him. He wanted to know who and what she was as it was clear to him that she was not what he thought at first.

She must have been seeing things in her exhaustion, likely a mirage of some type, because to be in the middle of no where without anyone and then suddenly a person lands in front of her to offer her water? Yeah, that shit doesn’t happen, she thought with certainty and continued walking, scoffing at the figure. When she passed close to him, expecting to phase right through the image, she instead knocked into him and nearly fell down in surprise at his sudden tangibility. Catching her balance just barely, she grasped his shoulder and looked him over. He was real! “Oh… well damn,” Suddenly, it seemed to hit her that he was offering a canteen filled with exactly what you body desired. Grabbing it hastily, she scrambled to open the top and tipped the bottle back to greedily take in its contents.
Prematurely, she choked upon accidentally breathing in some of the liquid and leaned forward, snapping the cap back to avoid dropping the rest of the water out and cough up what didn’t belong in her lungs. When she finally got her composure, wiping some of the excess water from her mouth and chin, she looked up at him with a sheepish expression, “-Saved my skin; thanks,” She cleared her throat before realizing she was still holding onto him and let go to take a step back and provide some space. Upon hearing his reasons for coming here, the violation of his mother the most uncomfortable to hear, she grimaced in pity, “Ah, erm… Sorry to hear that,” Handing out pity points for what happened to unfortunate people wasn’t a habit of hers, and she made certain to never accept any in return.
His questions were a welcome change of topic and she smirked, looking down at the hand that held the case with a vice-like grip. She hadn’t tried letting go in the least but almost couldn’t feel the hand either. Responding to him, “I was on the run, in a matter of speaking. This,” Moving her arm slightly in a motion to bring his gaze to the case, she finished, “-was my reward for a success.” The grin on her face, even as it was covered in burns, was bright and joy filled. “As for myself, I guess I could rest for a little bit…” In truth, she needed to find a location with supplies to tend to her wounds.
A few moments to rest won’t be so bad… and I am hungry. She thought, uncertain but willing to at least stop moving for a bit.”I could use a bite,” She said as she sat down, or attempted to, before lying down. The sand was still slightly warm when she moved against it to get comfortable, even if the cold air helped to ease her pained burns. “My name is Zerori, and though I’m saiyan, I’d hardly call myself a warrior.” Closing her eyes, she grinned wryly, “My business lies with mercenary work; y’know, the stuff that no one wants to do because it can get boring?” She hoped he understood her sarcasm, if her injuries were any indication. Looking at him, she realized that he might have noticed her odd features. Was he expecting her to reveal her other side? She’d wait… until he asked.

He nodded in understanding of her needs. Evidently Zerori trudged her way through the desert for a considerable amount of time. Food is what she needed, but out here he had no idea whatsoever as to where he would begin in finding something to satiate her crying stomach. He continued to wonder about what to venture out and grab for her. Although that was fine to ponder, but another concern would be finding his way back. A device sat itself on Zerori's ear. ~What were those called again?~ He thought about this for a short while before coming to the conclusion that the device was called a scouter. They were used to identify power levels as well as send and receive long or short distance messages between other users of such tool. ~Surely she could use that scouter to find me, right?~ He figured he would ask her. "Hey Zerori. I am going to go out to find some food for us. If I happen to be gone for longer than half of an hour I need you to come find me. I do not own a scouter nor I possess the ability to sense ki which I heard is something that is trainable. Also, I hope you do not mind eating creatures raw." Now that his statement served its purpose, Agarutz nodded to her, turned and flew off. The quest that indubitably would end fairly shortly as all his task assigned to him had been to find something, any sort of critter to munch on with the mysterious female he found. He recalled her features, and those eyes haunted his memory. She did not mention them so he figured she tried to keep secrets from him. Perhaps he might ask about them upon his return. For now he focused on the sand moving quickly below him. He gained some distance from his latest location and following his takeoff he abruptly finished his flight, and returned himself to the sand that was far away from his hunger stricken maiden.
He walked further and further as he scoured the land for anything to eat. He got to his knees and moved the sand around, looking for any sort of life form. He found difficulty in finding anything larger than the occasional small insect in the sand. ~Wait, what if I'm looking in the wrong location? What if the bigger creatures are in the rocks?~ A genius idea provided that little Agarutz had not been on the planet for all that much time. He picked himself up from the warm sand and walked over to a near by outcropping of rocks. They were set just so that there was a little overhang which created a shadow beneath itself. He reached his hand in and felt something. What he felt happened not to be something in his grasp, but a little hiss followed by a strike. The attack failed in completing its assignment which was to injure the invader who in this case was Agarutz. He pulled his hand out to find a snake on the end of it, but its little fangs could not even pierce his skin. He assumed this occurrence dictated itself this way as his power level likely was mountains above that of the little snake. "What are you? Ah, no matter. You'll make for a fine meal. I'm sure she will just love you." He wrapped the snake around his arm so he did not have to pay much attention to it before going back to searching the crevasses of the other rocks in order to find something for himself. "Come out come out wherever you are!" After some time of searching he began to become frustrated with the creatures refusing to be anywhere. "Oh come on, none of you want to be my lunch? Why not? What is wrong with me?" Some more searching, and he finally found another critter. This time it really confused him. He pulled out a moderately large reptile. It had four legs and a tail that did not do much. Regardless he grabbed it and looked it over. Should make for a fine little snack. The snake certainly kept a larger size than the lizard though so that one would go to Zerori he decided. Then he turned and began to head back.
Agarutz' sense of direction proved fair, and enough so to guide him back to whence he came. Upon his arrival he touched down and held up his catch. The snake, which to the knowledgeable professional was not venomous. This young warrior; however, had no idea to check for such. He held the snake above her. "Open up, Zerori!" He laughed as he set the snake down next to her. Although if she had opened her mouth to his command he would have gently set a good portion of the snake in her gaping maw, though it should be suspected that said circumstance is the unlikely situation. "It's all yours. Not too small is it? Should suffice." He sat down across from her and bit the head of his lizard off. "This thing is surprisingly soft." He managed as he swallowed his first bite before continuing to devour his catch. One he had finished he sat patiently waiting for her to finish. After she got down the last of her snake providing she had even decided to eat it, Agarutz leaned back and allowed his question to flow freely from the captivity of his throat. "So are you a full-blooded Saiyan? Your eyes tell me otherwise." From there she might be able to answer his questions. Now the time of waiting and holding back information was over. Her turn to speak had arrived. Finally the mystery of who she really was found itself soon to be revealed, and the curiosity of the little boy would be satiated at last.

He was a curious one, this Agarutz. She noticed him eyeing her scouter and thought that maybe he was going to try and take him from her? She wouldn’t put it past a stranger whom was a saiyan to steal from another; however, her opinion of saiyans had always been bad. He made a mention of getting them something to eat, though, which was a welcome reprieve from any questions he might ask her. Giving a nod, she waved him to get going, “Not a problem for me and I’ll find you; don’t worry,” She grinned at him, “-as if I’d let my meal ticket escape.” Playing at her terrible joke, she took a good look at her wounds in detail as he flew off to go search for the food. As she made a mental list of what injuries she had to keep conscious of, something caught her guard about what he said.
Sensing energy? That’s what Snippar and Reikiko said as well… Maybe there’s another thing I should be learning while I’m here? With a nod to herself, she resolved herself to learn that secret of this planet. However, if it was the last thing she’d do-
She closed her eyes and a vein throbbed at her temple incessantly.
-I’m going to figure out how to fly. Seeing my would-be savior do so in front of me is just too much for me to handle.
Just as she was about to count to sixty for the tenth time, weighing her patience, and come after him, he landed before her with a goofy smile on his face. He declared for her to open up, however something much different happened instead. Like she’d caught herself on fire once more, she jolted away and landed on her back. She gave a wince of pain before ignoring it and fearfully looking at the wiggling reptile on the ground, scrabbling back pathetically. When the snake didn’t seem harmless, she wasn’t able to tell one way or the other, the way it moved and curled in on itself creeped her the fuck out.
“J-Jeez, you couldn’t provide a little warning?!” She yelled, glaring up at Agarutz but would occasionally glance back down at the creature to make sure it was still writhing and not going to do a sneak attack on her. When the creature didn’t seem much of a threat, she decided not to take any chances and moved forward cautiously. With lightning speed, she grabbed the tail of the snake and held it there before instantly roasting it to somewhat of a crisp. She wanted it edible still, after all… However, using her energy was a bad move and she had to stay in a seat position as she ate ravenously. Not bothering to acknowledge whether the snake was good enough, she just ate and hoped he got the message.
It was only after she finished with her creature that she heard a question she was dreading; so he could tell. With a lick of her lips, she finished what was in her mouth before giving him a pointed expression, “No,” She said simply, but knew that answer wouldn’t be enough. Running a hand through her hair, she tilted her head at him, “-My eyes aren’t the only thing I received from my mixed lineage, either.” Leaning forward, she opened her mouth to show her larger than normal canines before closing her mouth, “My other half is demonic, or so I’ve been told. My mother was…” She stopped, unsure as to how she should continue.
On one hand, this boy told her that his mother had been violated and murdered, bringing up her own in a negative light would only cause awkward or tainted feelings between the two. However, she wasn’t going to lie to him. Instead, showing an almost uncharacteristic amount of tact, she finished, “-We don’t get along anymore.”
