History: Long ago, in the time before skyscrapers and cars, there lived three brothers. The first brother was named Banmian, and Heaven blessed him with strength and speed like no other. He trained himself in the martial arts, and despite his great strength was gentle and kind hearted. One year, a plague took his family's ox. Without the ox his family feared they would not be able to prepare the harvest, but young Banmian strapped the plow to himself. With his strength and speed he plowed the fields more quickly than any ox ever could, and his family never had need to worry for sick oxen again. The middle brother was named Dandan, and Heaven blessed him with inner power like no other. Banmian trained him in the martial arts, and despite his great power was just and virtuous. One year, a drought stole away the rain. Without the rain his family feared the crops would wither and die, but young Dandan threw his energy at the greedy clouds. With his great power he broke the rain free from the sky to water the crops, and his family never had to worry for drought again. The third brother was named Liang Pi, and Heaven blessed him with a supreme intellect. Banmian and Dandan trained him in the martial arts, and despite his vast intelligence he was patient and humble. One year, the tired soil was too worn to yield healthy plants. Without good soil his family feared the crops would never grow, but young Liang Pi used his cunning find new ways to till the soil. With his knowledge he returned the nutrients to the soil, and his family never had to worry for tired soil again. Together, these three brothers practiced their martial arts and tended to their family's fields, and never was there a quarrel among the three of them.
One year, there were rumors of a great army of bandits from a land faraway who, with their numbers in legion, cleaved their way through the country. The brothers feared it would not be long before the horde was at their doorstep. "Together, we three can surely crush them," offered Banmian. "Indeed! If we three work together, even any army cannot stand in our way," replied Dandan. "No. Though we three together are strong, there is no tactic by which we could defeat a thousand-strong army," countered Liang Pi. The elder two brothers fell silent, trusting in the wisdom of the youngest brother. "Perhaps you are right, little brother," said Banmian. "Indeed. If only we three could combine our talents into one. Then we could surely fell any enemy," said Dandan. "Ah, but elder brothers! I believe there is a way," spoke Liang Pi. His brothers were skeptical, but he continued. "Elder brothers; have you heard of the Dragon Balls?" Banmian and Dandan shook their heads, so Liang Pi continued. "There is a legend that seven magical Dragon Balls are scattered around the Earth. Whoever can unite them is allowed a single wish. If we three could find them, we could wish for a warrior with the strength, speed and power of my two elder brothers, as well as my own humble talents. Such a warrior would be an unstoppable champion of the people!" The two elders took a moment to think over this proposition. It was Banmian who spoke first. "It is a good plan! Such a powerful ally could protect the people for many years to come." Dandan nodded in agreement. "Yes. But to find these Dragon Balls we three must part ways. Never since our births have we been separated!" At the middle brother's proclamation the three brothers wept, but they knew what needed to be done. They swore a vow that they would remain loyal to one another until their dying days and should never meet again until the Dragon Balls had been gathered.
It was three years later when they reunited, and in that time Banmian and Dandan had kept their vows faithfully. It was their youngest brother, Liang Pi, who would be their undoing. He had located the four-stall Dragon Ball in the court of a faraway king, and received it as a reward in exchange for acting as a military tactician in a campaign against a neighboring land. This king was un-virtuous, and allowed himself every pleasure afford by his status. It was from him that the seeds of selfish ambition were planted in young Liang Pi's mind, and when he left that strange land he spent the rest of his journey plotting against his brothers. The three met again on an open plain, agreeing to spend their night celebrating their reunion. They would summon the dragon first thing in the morning. The two elder brothers drank, and Liang Pi abstained, though he encouraged the elder pair to continue drinking. When night came they all went to their tents, but it wasn't long after that Liang Pi entered Banmian's tent. "Elder brother, may I have a word?" Though drunk and drowsy, Banmian was always willing to listen to his brother. "I fear our middle brother may have lost his way during his journey. What if he should use the wish for himself?" Banmian shook his head in defiance. "Youngest brother, how could you say such a thing? We three swore an oath. Our middle brother would never betray us." Liang Pi stood firm, and in time clouded his eldest brother's mind. Within the hour, Banmian was ready to fight, but Liang Pi stopped him. "Fighting our brother will only do us ill. Allow me to speak to him. Perhaps I can remind him of our oath." Satisfied with this, Banmian sat up in his tent to await whatever news Liang Pi would bring him. The youngest brother then went to Dandan's tent, waking him from a drunken sleep. "Middle brother, I'm so sorry to disturb you, but I am worried about our eldest brother." Concerned, Dandan sat up. "What do you mean?" Liang Pi feigned hesitation, then spoke quietly. "I had to leave my tent to relieve myself, and I saw our eldest brother speaking to some men. I hid behind a rock and listened to them. Those men are emissaries of the ones we have sworn to defeat. Our eldest brother plans to have us killed and deliver the Dragon Balls to them in exchange for wealth!" Dandan could hardly believe his ears. "Brother, it seems impossible, but surely if you say this to me you speak the truth. What should we do?" Liang Pi fell silent, this time feigning concentration. After a time, he spoke. "I will go speak plainly to our elder brother. I am certain I can change his mind. Wait up for me. If I do not return within the hour, I fear it is safe for you to assume the worst. You know I could never best our elder brother in combat, and if the others are waiting in the wings I will quickly be dead." Dandan offered a solemn nod and Liang Pi left the tent. Content that the seeds of his plan had been sewn, Liang Pi took the Dragon Balls from his tent and hid, waiting patiently for the fate he had woven to take course.
An hour later Dandan emerged from his tent, having neither seen nor heard from his youngest brother in the appointed time. Outraged and betrayed, he stormed to Banmian's tent. Banmian was still awake, and when Dandan entered his tent he feared the worse. "Un-loyal cur! I'll not let you kill me," he shouted, lunging toward his middle brother. "Traitorous dog! Your treachery ends here!" Their battle was vicious, and in the chaos Liang Pi stole the Dragon Balls and fled. The two brothers fought for a week before succumbing to exhaustion, and they fell dead together at the same minute. Now far away, Liang Pi called upon the dragon and wished for the one thing that would allow him to pursue his every imaginable ambition; immortality.
So ends the tale of three brothers, their story forgotten by all but the traitor Liang Pi.
Now: Liang Pi is currently the elder of a small village. Lately, this village has been under siege by a group of masked bandits who call themselves The One Hundred Ghosts. Lead by a man known only as Mogui Youling, these two groups battle one another frequently, though it usually ends in a stalemate. Unknown to both groups, however, is the fact that Mogui Youling is actually Liang Pi in disguise. Using his Multi-Form technique, he has split himself in two so he can lead both groups at once. The villagers are unwitting fodder for The One Hundred Ghosts. Under the guise of Mogui Youling he plans to create a new school of martial arts, combining thousands of years of knowledge into one discipline. The surviving members of The One Hundred Ghosts will be his first pupils.

(This is a bit ugly, but I plan to clean it up soon! I was in a rush to get it posted before work., so if there are any broken links or coding, I'll fix 'em up. Haha.
Some notes on my character history: I felt that given my character's age and flavor, I should write the history in a fairly antiquated way. I based it on the form of old Chinese fairy tales. It's repetitive, but that's on purpose. My usual writing is much more vivid, I promise! Also, regarding immortality; since the rules say character killing isn't allowed without permission, I didn't feel immortality would be imbalanced. The character can obviously still be beaten: he's not invulnerable. He just can't die. If that will be an issue let me know and I'll do something else.)
