Dammit their will to fight is the reason that we are in the place that we are in right now. Ancestor Kurix, can you here me? Why was I given this destiny? Why was I chosen to lead the family into the New Age? What must I do to prove that I am no longer a child, but the grandmaster of our family?
Krow asked speaking to only his thoughts hoping that they would guide him to his true path. The cool air rushed through the Fallen's spiky hair causing it to dance like wild flowers in the fields of an open meadow. Shifting the weight of his body he started to move higher above the pillow like clouds as he paused in mid flight. Moving his right hand to his face he removed the mask which hid his identity from the ones he hated so.
This wretched mask is nothing but a cowards form of protection. Grandfather Kurix never would allow such insolence to carry on. Krow muttered as he threw the mask and allowed his face to be bathed in the light of midday sun.
"You are defiantly my descendant and I am proud that one of my own has such pride in his race." A low voice whispered from behind the young Fallen warrior. Krow, confused if he was hearing things or someone was behind him turned quickly trying to located the direction of the voice that was calling out to him. To his surprise there was no one there, only a flock of mockingbirds flying in a scattered, unorganized formation. "Hahahaha my child you are looking in the wrong direction for I am right here." The same voice called out, this time coming from behind him yet again.
Krow moved his head and eyes in a calm yet confused pattern unable to find who was speaking to him. Are you a coward show yourself! If you think your cheap parlor tricks will work on me your beating heart crushed in my palm will teach you otherwise. Krow said in a devious tone as he felt a sharp pain coming from his back as a blade pierced through his abdomen. With a violent cough blood spewed from his mouth and ran down his chin and neck like a stream.
The sound of devilish laughter slowly creeped up to his ear as the cold words of death were whispered in his ear. "Now what will you do that your very life is being stolen from you?" The voice asked in a educating tone.
Krow smirked as the pain that he felt turned into power as he smirked and gripped the blade that injured him and pulled it through himself to bring his target closer. Easy you bastard I'm going to kill you before I take my last breath. Krow said collecting ki in his free hand and shoving a ki blade through the his abdomen adding to the damage. Due to this strategy he was able to strike his attacker, causing a massive explosion sending both parties flying down to the earth below them.
The young Fallen spun out of control heading for a cluster of trees but instead of slamming into them the first one he could get a visual on he slammed his feet on propelling him forward into the direction in which his opponent has crashed. As his aura consumed him, Krow, coughed up more red life fluid rearing his right arm back to attack the stranger who pierced a blade through his back.
"That's it show me your rage, your hate, your anger! Show me that my genetics were not so dilated by time! Come Krow kill me! Your Ancestor!" The downed attacker said as he possessed the eyes that were considered legendary among the race of the Fallen. Krow seeing his eyes hesitated and paused for only a second. In that instant the fist of the other fighter was sinking deep into his abdomen and then a left uppercut knocked the aura completely off of Krow. The fighter then chuckled as he wrapped his cold, dead hands around the neck of his descendant.
Krow was confused as he had thought only his mother, father, and grandfather were the only Fallen who were still on earth. For this man to be his ancestor he would have to be the Lord of all their people…Kurix.
K…K…Ku…rix? Krow forced through his blood filled mouth as it spilled over the hands of his great, great, great, grandfather. "Indeed boy. You know with a little more pressure I could snap your little neck…but that would get me no where and you are the vessel I have chosen to eradicate the humans off our world." Kurix said deviously as he released his grip. Krow collapsed to his knees coughing, expecting more blood to pour from his mouth. When he opened his eyes he noticed that all the damage that had been done to him had disappeared. Even the pain from his wounds were gone like it never happened.
What did you do to me…how did you? Krow paused as Kurix lifted his hand calling for him to silence himself. "You see Krow Kuroya…we are in a world that I have been banished to. The Kami of this planet saw that it would be fit that I neither liv or die but be placed here in this form of limbo. Due to your hatred for your family and the pest of this planet I was able to reach out and commune with you." Kurix paused as he signaled for his grandson to follow him. He continued. "For many generations I have watched as this planet has been destroyed by the feeble beings that are nothing more than dust to us. I have watched as others from the stars have come to the aid of these retched animals known as…humans." Kurix said as Krow joined his ancestor at his side.
I understand your frustration Ancestor, but what does that have to do with you attacking me? Krow asked as he walked in-sync with his elder. Kurix stopped as the two arrived at a mountain that had appeared to have been worn down through the years of erosion. "Like this mountain child, the time of the humans is coming to an end and you will be the one who will bring them to their knees. Inside of that mountain is a tomb. You will go their and in that place is where you will become the head of the Fallen. Do you understand my instructions?" Kurix lectured his chosen Fallen to complete the mission he had failed so long ago.
Krow turned his attention to the mountain and then back to his Ancestor. I will not. He answered as Kurix cracked like brittle glass and shattered into a flock of crows that encircled Krow an fused into his body.
A new essence felt like it had bonded with his spirit and he could feel the drive to eliminate the planets fodder grow immensely.
