Standing in the large, dirt ring that was isolated from the festivities, the young woman stared at the dust blowing across the ground. Her emerald gaze was weighed down by something darker, a memory that haunted her. She tried to smile, recalling all of the friends and rivals she had seen come together on that ship on the way out here. But her worries returned, along with all of the horrible memories.
“I need something to take my mind off of that. I guess...this place was meant for training in preparation for the tournament? Probably for the big league players, considering the distance from the actual tournament, to minimize the damage to their profit. I guess I can just enjoy myself.” Turning away from the cloud of dust, the woman adjusted the blue jacket she wore. Thrusting both hands out, silver energy crackled down her palms. Blades began forming in the air, before slamming into the earth around her. Strolling forward, she plucked a long-sword from the earth and thrust it through the air. Spinning through three different forms, the woman threw the sword. It cut a furrow through the earth as it shot across the ring, before exploding into silver shards as it slammed into an unseen barrier on the edge of the ring. “Oh ho? It seems the Vargas have built in safeties this far away from the tournament. Good to know.” The woman began throwing blades at the wall, in an attempt to test the actual strength of the barrier that surrounded the large, dirt training site.

Jala headed out of the bar, laughing and having a gay ‘ole time with the people there. She met a bunch of interesting people. She saw a couple of weird people, and it just was a party, a lot less uptight than people here.
“That tournament starts TOMMORROW! Ohhhh! I can’t WAIT to beat the shit out of that Collen guy! Jut thinking about it gets my blood BOILING!” she yells out, a little tipsy. She needed to let off some steam, getting riled up before the tournament even started.
“Ohhhh! Is that Tulip!? Yes! She can match me at full strength!” Jala realized, sensing the hybrid’s energy as she takes off, grinning like a mad woman. After flying for a minute, she landed by the arena, walking into it, having a wide grin as she stared at Tulip. “Yo, cutie! Care for a spar?” the young woman yelled, remembering the nickname for the woman.
“Well, unlike the first time we met, I’m not a pushover. You’ll find it preeetty hard to knock me down. Wadda say? No tournament rules with bullshit same power levels. I full on fight, your power versus mine.” she offered, Jala’s power radiating. She was excited, ecstatic even; her tail flicking through the air was evidence enough.

Tulip's gaze traveled across the dirt arena, falling on the woman standing across from her. She knew the figure, could recognize the strength and potential of the now-powerful Saiyan. When they had sparred so long ago, it had been as a monster vs a child. Now it was as two peers, striving to push one another to the next level. She smiled softly at the partial-nickname/catcall of the other woman, as she addressed Tulip. Her next statement left the woman silent, before Tulip nodded once. “I'd love to fight you, Jala. As equals, fighting all-out vs one another. After that...we can catch up over a drink or two, maybe work out the kinks in our relationship.” Before the Saiyan could puzzle out the intent behind the second statement, the hybrid was already in motion. Grasping out, Tulip grabbed two swords from the ground on either side. Leaping forward and into a sideways twist, she shot both swords through the air towards Jala. Each crackled with surging ki energy, as the woman landed and clenched her open hands into fists. Both blades exploded just short of the Saiyan, creating a cloud of dust and light that cloaked the arena and obscured the view. “I've been training to specialize in three paths; strength against one, strength against numbers, and strength against the unexpected. With all three combined, I've created the perfect defense: an unbreakable offense.” Her voice spoke from the cloud of dust, as shimmers of silver dotted the brown air. Then the dust dispersed in a whirlwind of air, as the woman thrust one arm out. Her entire body was covered in armor, and clutched by her side was a dark helm. Blades littered the ground on either side of her armored form, and to the back and front. Lifting the helm from her side, the woman slid it on with an audible click, before dropping the visor over her eyes. Motioning towards the blades that now covered the battlefield, the woman spoke. “Go ahead, take a sword that suits your tastes. That, or use your fists in battle against my countless blades. Either way...this will be a battle to remember.” Thrusting her hand out, a huge blade materialized instantly in her grasp. A huge blade, almost to big and cumbersome to be labeled a sword, fell heavily into her palm, as a shield just as large formed on her other arm. Holding the shield in front of her body, the woman peered over the edge through the slots in her helm, before angling the sword just over the bridge of her shoulder.

“Sweet! Sounds great!” Jala said, grinning ear to ear as she slipped in stance, loosely bouncing as she smiles, eager to start. “Sure! Would love to go get a round of drinks… Wait, what you mean by kink-” Jala started to ask, not exactly sure what to make of Tulip’s somewhat cryptic statement, the hybrid was in motion. “Oh I guess we're doing THIS now!” she yelled with a grin, holding a finger gun out and charging a blast, then stopping, noticing they’d land right in front of her.
“Hey, so did you do mean to miss those or are bad at throwing… I don’t wanna assume, so I’m saying the former.” Jala said, chuckling as they exploded, as she flared her ki to protect her from the explosion, the smoke stayed. “Oh, sounds cool. I wish I had a fighting style…” the Saiya-jin muttered, she now impressed at Tulip’s suit armour and the blades that dotted the field. “Ohhhh! This is BADASS! I’m beginning to like you a whole lot more! But no, I use my own type of blade.” Jala says, watching, preparing her herself.
“Well, let’s a fun and… Heh, friendly match.” the Saiya-jin said, and let out a scream, her eye’s going from black to teal green and her hair sparked yellow as she transformed. It was simple, easily to do now that she’s done it so many times. “I KNOW you can do this! After a bit we can bump it up… Maybe I can go Super Saiya-jin 2 again… I need to contain that power.” Jala says, muttering the last part to herself.

Tulip's eyes shifted shades when she saw the Saiyan's transformation; she had the same level of practice as this woman, if not more. After the months spent on the battlefield, her body could easily slide into the far more powerful form of her Super form. But that wasn't necessary at this moment. The ground cracked at her feet and exploded outwards in cracks as the woman shot forward. Letting her hand clutching the sword drop behind the shield, she began making hand-signs with the lowered hand. Her gaze never left the woman standing across from her. Sprinting across the battlefield, the armored knight's pace never slowed. As she covered the distance between herself and the Super Saiyan, dozens of blades began breaking free of the earth and shooting through the air towards the Saiyan. “I find that going Super Saiyan ruins my concentration; even though I'm currently less than a quarter of your strength, I'll beat you in a battle of speed and reflexes.” Blades began shooting from above, all angled to pierce and cage in the woman standing in front of her. More blades slammed into the earth around the Super Saiyan, forming a pentagram of sorts. The armored knight simply smirked, before tossing the shield to one side. Reaching back with her free hand, the woman dispersed the back half of her helm. Her hair spilled out into the air, before spiking upwards and turning gold as she shifted into her higher form. Golden lines began forming throughout her armor, as the woman's Super Saiyan transformation affected her armor. Pieces broke off, shifting the heavy suit of armor into a leaner, more compact version of armor that simply covered her upper chest, forearms, and legs from cuts. Her gauntlets and boots remained, as her teal gaze met Jala's. "Changed my mind; but I'll save the next level for further down the line. AS for now....can your gaze match my speed, oh valiant hero?” The ground cracked as the woman vanished. Blades began shattering as a blur shot between them, using the flat edges of the blade as points to dart off and change directions. Blades began exploding on all sides of Jala, as the blur became an almost solid line of black and gold. Then it vanished, as the woman shot up into the sky. Tulip angled her sword back, as the blade began glowing with golden energy. “Ultimate...” All the shattered blades began flowing upwards, uniting with the sword Tulip held and increasing the size slowly as her energy continued building. Other swords yanked themselves free and flung themselves towards Jala, as Tulip's energy continued building. The fragments of swords continued rising into the air. Her sword was now the size of a tall man, and still growing. Her gaze never left the Super Saiyan standing beneath her, as her sword began crackling with energy. Ignoring the pain in her hands and mind, the woman narrowed her focus to center only on Jala. Even if my mind breaks and my body shatters... I'll ensure this is an unforgettable battle!

The assassin took a deep breathe, calming herself, and closing her eyes, as she felt the energy, the air, everything. She needed to stay calm and not let her emotions control her. Any swords that came directly at her, were shattered, her hitting the direct center of the blade.
Her eye’s opened as Tulip transforms, Jala open’s her, facing them. Jala’s eyes were cold and emotionless, the eye’s of a killer as she just watches Tulip. “Valiant Hero…? Those are for you, an actual hero who fights for what is considered ‘good’. I am a cold blooded killer. That doesn’t apply to me. But yes. I can.”
After that, Jala just watch, batting away swords and anything that came her way as she begins to charge something to counter the hybrid’s attack that’d be heading her way. “Come. You are MY target… Get ready.”
