So, I've been playing a couple of Dragon Ball games, Xenoverse 2 a Fusions, and they both have the same premise. Actually the premise in Xenoverse is essentially "Americans won't like Dragon Ball Heroes so let's make this game instead." But, the main essence still remains, and it brings to light a lot of things.
1: EVERYTHING IS CANON! Say it with me now, Everything is canon. Seeing as Akira Toriyama isn't in full control of DBS right now, the old "Toriyama-san didn't write it therefore it's not canaon" is out the window. Some people argue it's the manga that defines what is and isn't canon, but if you go that route that as of now, the universal tournament arc isn't canon. And! If you combine those ideas than you have to acknowledge Everything about Neko-majin as canon as well. Hell, Jaco's entire manga and existence is canon now! I feel that honestly, the biggest defining trait of what is, and isn't canon is currently Dragon Ball Heroes. It's all divergent time lines. The movies exist in universes where events lined up to allow them, apparently this is the same time line that exists inside the world of GT, due to hell ripping open and us seeing movie villains. GT is what happens if Pilaf went after the Black Star balls instead of the regular balls that he does somewhere before Super starts. It helps to think of the box of time rings Zamasu opens up. In the anime, you see 5 time rings, 4 green, divergent time lines, plus a silver original (or that's my interpretation). In the manga Zamasu's death at the hand of Beers creates a new time lime. Divergent time lines collect all of DB lore into one bubble, that bubble being a multiverse, much like Marvel or DC in America.
2: Super Saiyan Blue... Is stronger than Super Saiyan 4.... You don't know how much that hurts me. Like. A lot! Super Saiyan 4 is my favorite form. More than even Super Saiyan. But, favorite has nothing to do with in universe power. There are too many world breaking, universe shaking factors to take into consideration, when thinking which form has the most destructive feats. Any misstep or energy wave aimed poorly, and galaxies could die. We do however have fusions in both universes. Fusion, Dance or Pataro, both cannot be trained to be better, and have no power multiplier or anything like that. Yes, they do combine energy differently and that is sort of the key here. Fusion dance has even powered warriors combine their might. Looking a bit deeper into it this means that powering up means that the peak power is that of the weaker warrior's strongest state. Where as Potaro does not have that limit. Goku IS stronger than Vegeta, and potaro fusion allows for Vegitto's max strength to be Goku's max + Vegeta's max. This difference is staggering of course. So, with Potaro fusion also being a godly power, not just a technique, it is by far a stronger bond. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta only lasts 10 minutes in a 30 minute fusion, 1/3. Vegitto only lasts 10-ish minutes in a 60 minute fusion, 1/6. This means that the Super Saiyan 4 fusion is less taxing on a weaker fusion technique. Meaning that as a form, Super Saiyan 4 is weaker than the SSB transformation.
---possible hang up!!! Super Saiyan Blue is a taxing transformation. While nowhere near as exhausting as SS3, SSB drains vitality out of a person and renders them weaker. Where as SS4 is more of form change akin to what Freeza does. The new form needs a burst of energy to initiate but after that it's not taxing on the user. Vegeta and Goku both only loose the form because they are beaten to near death and have been fighting for hours. So, if you think that a form like SSB means it damages the Potaro fusion more, than that's a chink in the argument. I do not. The Kai's indicated that it was Vegitto's raw power that was simply too much for the earrings to handle, same as what has been the understanding of Gogeta's shortened life.
3: Super Saiyan 4 is the best form. While GT has it's flaws, trying to return to the goofy, loveable adventure of DB but also the serious fighting of DBZ. Super Saiyan 4 is the perfect pinnacle of the Saiyan mythos. No, it's not actually a Super Saiyan form. It's the Perfect Saiyan form. See, a Saiyan can and will stay a Great App, indefinitely, if a moon, or enough brute waves are coming from something. They can live in that form, forever. It is just another part of who they are, like Freeza's reduced forms. Their humanoid form is a weaker version of their true self. The perfect hybrid of these forms being something that combines that giant ape, with their humanoid ability to grow more powerful. It is my conclusion than, that the SS4 form is a Saiyans natural state. They are supposed to be this limitless being, power that can break every barrier and defy living incarnations of karma. So, while I said SSB was stronger than SS4, SS4 is stronger than SSG, and has way more potential.
4: I will not let anyone go without reminding them that, Master Roshi, Androids 17 & 18, and Chaotzu, are all non-aging, undying characters. As long as something doesn't kill them, they will never age and never die. Roshi drank magic water. The Androids have infinite energy generators that keep them young, and Chaotzu is a Chinese vampire child.
