The Southern Islands. Busy place to be, or to watch. Bordered by a desert, home to the famed tenkiaichi tournament grounds and a few other things. This area from what he knew, had all kinds of Vices to ply oneself with if you knew where to look. Well he wanted to find one in particular. Something to cure his boredom for a while, and test his skills. Coming to earth had been less than fulfilling so far. Sake was a saiyajin warrior after all. Born to fight, trained to fight, lived to fight. But he wasn't mindless either, he knew training had to be part of life but he couldn't stand it himself. His ' training ' was often actual fighting or sparring matches.
But there had been little of that and it was time to change that. He was going to give out a calling card and see who decided to answer. He began to power up, charging to his full strength before he unleashed a massive volley of basic ki blasts. Carpeting the southern islands with minor to moderate damage and destruction. He wasn't going to be hard to miss by those that could find his ki, but those that couldn't would have to follow others or use some other means of finding him. Now..he could have used larger blasts at less of a number, but the damage would have been too high. That would have gained the attention of people with power well above his and put them in no mood to spar. This level of damage though should at least make for a much calmer bunch. With the five minuet barrage completed he kept his power up, as a beacon. And waited for those that would come to test his might.
IF they came.

Nabel lay around lazily on his little isolated island. It wasn't actually owned by the demon, of course, that would be absurd. But with how cut off the area was from the rest of the world, it might as well have been under his control. If he wanted to, he could just claim the whole landmass as his own, all eighty square feet of it. Sure, it would most likely go under the moment that high tide approached, but it'd be a great tiny refuge while it lasted.
There wasn't much to do beyond lie down and possibly nap, but that would be enough for the rag-doll. Unfortunately, Nabel's relaxation was cut short by an unexpected uptick of energy further south. Without even thinking, he rushed towards the scene with a bounce, sinking the tiny island as he dashed through the air. After the time to lament his loss as he flew, the demon began to think straight. He wondered who or what was emitting that much ki, and just why they had decided to do so.
Was it a distress signal from a panicked survivor? If it was, the Makyo Star gave Nabel enough juice to assist someone fight off a would-be assassin. What if it was something far less benign? If it was a challenge to Earth's defenders, then he was more than ready to throw down at a moment's notice as well. Though the boy lacked in strength, skill and credibility, he was the closest fighter in the area as far as he could tell. Whatever the case, the demon seemed to be the only one checking on the scene. And given his luck, he also appeared to be the only buffeted by the sudden surge of ki blasts volleying straight into his direction.
As he was sailing full speed ahead towards ground zero, the demon was unable to make the necessary adjustments to his speed and altitude, taking multiple bombs bang-on without any protection. Bang. Bang. Bang. Explosions abounded in his direction, as Nabel groaned loudly at each successive blast. At this point, he had no real excuse for not dodging, beyond the frustration festering in his belly as he continued to stride forwards. Had the Makyo Star not been active, the demon would have been blown out of the sky by the first attack. (At least, he assumed so. Nabel still had crippling self-doubt to take care of, after all.)
After his five minutes of torture were up, the now raging demon landed on the island with a thud, leaving a tiny crater of sand and seashells in his wake. His ragged, rotten skin appeared to be cooked by the ki barrage, almost to the point of burning. If the Saiyan was familiar with the smell of burnt garbage, then this monstrous-looking stranger would remind him of that. It didn't help that the stitches holding Nabel's flesh together reeked of his own boiling blood.
"YOU." He took one look at the saiyan, his single, unstitched eye socket twitching in obvious anger, as his open sores leaked a disgusting fluid. Nabel immediately mistook him for a trouble-making pirate, though who could blame him after his ordeal. Still, it seemed to sink Sake's plan of finding calmer warriors, as the corpse-like monster before him was anything but calm. This was possibly the most unrepentantly furious that Nabel had gotten in months, and it was all directed towards the Saiyan.
"You. Me. Fight. NOW." The diminutive demon blubbered angrily, as the aura of the Makyo Star continued to fuel his rage. The lad might have actually sounded like a legitimate threat, had his frame not stood an entire inch below four feet. His high-pitched, boyish voice didn't do much to aid matters. Despite his toxic, evil ki, the demon looked and sounded like a child. One that had died fifty years prior and risen from the dead somehow, sure, but he was still the spitting image of a tantrum-throwing gradeschooler.

He felt something coming his way after only a few moments. It wasn't good to get his hopes up but he did. Thinking this to be a good result. Someone was already taking the invitation. He was eager for a good fight, a chance to test himself and see where he was at. A good challenge, a good fight, something finally worth his time on this forsaken and poor excuse for a place that held great fighters. A place he had found little to show this to be true. He felt the ki coming closer rapidly and turned in it's direction. It was odd that this signature came through the barrage he had unleashed instead of going above it, or shielding themselves. An odd choice to be honest but oh well. His eyes caught the small spec of a figure next. Strong ki, near his own level if not a bit above. Good.
But as the spec came into view he sneered and was almost insulted. He landed shortly after this.....thing did in all of it's flurry of dust, seashells and ki output. But it was the overall look.....and the stench. He had smelled some off putting things in his travels but this was a mix of burned flesh and garbage rolled around in a garbage scow that never got cleaned out. And the look of such a small creature....Stitched together, and decomposing of sorts? And the then of course the size. Four foot tall...maybe less and very unhappy. He shook his head. Clearing all of these negative thoughts. The power level told him this was a good fighter. Appearances had nothing to do with skill and ability. Nor did smell. But still....he couldn't help but look at the small being and ask with some confusion and a slight bit of disgust. " What the hell are you supposed to be? "
At the words though he chuckled. ' You. Me. Fight. Now! ' He could accept that and he took his stance. His composure and attitude getting more steeled. " I hope you provide a good challenge small fry. " Don't loose your head Sake. He took a deep breath before he grinned. A burst of ki shot up around him and he shot forward, aiming a hard knee shot for this short beings head. Why bother with a warm up? Go straight for the main event.

Nabel grit his teeth as the Saiyan spoke. Had the Makyo Star been inactive, their Power Levels would be more even, and the younger fighter would have been much more cautious. But with passion and power pouring into his soul, courtesy of the cosmos itself, the Demon held no such reservations. Even with his weighted gear firmly wrapped around his figure, he was easily twice as strong as this Saiyan. Hell, he was sure that the difference was even larger now.
He would take no such garbage from a goon (as he was still under the impression that Sake was some sort of criminal from off-world), nor was he obligated to allow any mercy to be shown towards his opponent. Villainous scum had to be dealt with a firm hand wrapped tightly around their necks, squeezing the air and life out of their system. To do any less would be a disservice to the fine people of the planet. That was what the BBA with their takeover of the government long ago. Might didn't make right, but it had the gods' damned responsibility to manage it.
"Guhhh." Nabel's only available hand clutched his head, as he felt some of the pain subside, his mind snapping at attention. With a tiny gasp, his single eye widened, as he took a step backwards. He could feel the sweat dripping down his figure, as he bit back the urge to go ham, but he knew that it was a losing proposition. All of the evil energy melding into his already depraved ki was messing with his mind. He was thinking crazy, he was sure of it, and it felt too damn good to resist. If he couldn't get a grip, his opponent wasn't the only person who would wind up hurt by this.
Yet despite having that knowledge in mind, the boy was still raring to fight, as evidenced by the downright disgusting ki coursing through his veins. The very essence of his life energy itself was so tainted, that the grains of sand stuck to his corpse-like body began to blacken. It was like decay itself surged throughout his system, and the demon was completely high off of that supply. He may not have been as angered as he was previously, but the lad was most definitely mad at the moment, in a difference. So as Nabel saw the Saiyan blast towards him, knee-outstretched, the boy could only feel his elated.
"You want to hit me?" The Demon cackled loudly. His grin widened, the stitches on the edges of his mouth digging deep into his flesh, causing viscous blood to slowly drip down his cheeks. "Fine then!" He continued with a nearly psychotic smirk. "Do your worst, you brigand! The demon then charged forwards as well, gathering his energy into his skull as he thrust his head. If this supposed opponent of his wanted to strike at his skull, then he would return the favor, with a sharp head-butt to the kneecap!
Mmm, I'm not great at Math either, but Nabel should be able to have the one-up him at basic strikes at the moment. Given that my Demon's at 80k with heavy weights on, and Sake's at around 15k (your medium weights are on, right?), the difference is pretty dang significant. Maybe throw a few tech attacks, I could keep them unanswered so that we can extend the fight. And I hope you have fun too!

He wasn't getting an answer, but he didn't care. He was more than satisfied with the fight that was now happening. But not to be outdone by his own eagerness, he maintained a sharp focus on the fight. He had to be ready for anything. He could tell this thing was stronger than him. It took him a few moments with his ability to sense Ki, to get a read on this creature. But he finally did, and what he felt both, enticed his warriors blood, and made him a bit uneasy. This thing seemed....tainted somehow. He didn't think ki could be tainted, but here he felt as if that's exactly what was going on.
He felt the charge of ki, bringing his attention to his opponent. Watched as the short thing focused ki and then actually charged at him! A headbutt, crude and blind mostly, but it was the concentration of ki that he felt that told him it was a tactic. This little thing was meeting the knee strike with a headbutt. And at the difference in power between them, that could easily cause him some damage, even shatter the knee. And that he couldn't allow. But at this speed of attack, the angle and size difference between them, he had little options for adjusting the attack itself. He did have one he could do though. It was risky though.
But that was part of the fun. A fight where you put everything on the line to push yourself and your limits. He adjusted his body so that the knee strike pulled back, and down. Giving him a sudden jump as he leaned forward with both hands. His hands would collide with that rather burned and stitched up head, but the momentum and change of direction would allow him to flip over the little fighter. But that wasn't all, the moment his hands would clear that head, he would unleash a full powered energy blast before continuing with the flip, spinning so that when he landed he was facing his opponent still.

Well i meant the reduction with the weights. Yeah their active.

Before Nabel's addled thoughts could even fully process the situation, he found himself outmaneuvered by his opponent. What he thought to be a reckless head-on assault was actually a feint, and a risky one at that, one that aimed to put the lad well-within his opponent's preferred range. It was arrogance that put him into this vulnerable position, and the back of his mind was well aware of it. At least, that was what the demon had assumed, as he rubbed the section of his skull that the Saiyan had struck.
"You think you're fudging smart, don't you?" He murmured as his foe flipped over him with casual ease Before he could even finish his thoughts, the demon was immediately struck by a sudden surge of ki. Pure energy surrounded the entirety of his figure, dazing him for a moment, as he savored the sting of the blast. Not that there was much sting to be found, much to the boy's disappointment. (It was an even bigger detriment to his already fractured ego.)
Under the Makyo Star's influence, he couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the attack. Because in spite of his inability to dodge at the moment, the attack didn't seem to affect the diminutive demon much, even as he felt it engulf most of his tiny body. With their current difference in power, Nabel shrugged off his opponent's attack with surprising nonchalance. The energy blast didn't seem to affect the boy at all, with nary a scratch on his still stinking body. The earlier random ki bombs had done more more damage to the demonic dwarf than that last attack.
But even with all of that being acknowledged, the lad had to admit, it felt humiliating to have been so easily deceived by a much weaker opponent. Had he just gripped onto his senses, the young warrior might have been able to avoid the blast entirely. Perhaps that mistake of his was a testament to his relative inexperience, and that weighed in heavily on his mind for a moment, as he cussed silently. Scolding himself for being cocky, the demon spun around to meet his enemy's gaze.
"Are you done?" The demon clicked his tongue at the fresh-faced fighter in a calm fashion, though there was still a bitter edge to his tone. Despite still feeling effects the demonic star feeding his evil essence, Nabel seemed to have sobered up a fair bit. He did not want to be caught off-guard again, even if he didn't deem the Alien to be much of a threat to himself just yet.
"Good." He raised his only arm, not even bothering to comprehend his adversary's reply, as he felt his wrist well with deliciously tainted ki. "It's my turn. Nabel gave a sharp sigh, and let it all flow out of him, firing a high-energy cannonade at the Saiyan. Each rapid-fire blast was tinged purple, having been born from the same corrupted spring that currently powered the lad. He was getting serious, it seemed. I wasn't sure how to respond, so I asked a mod how much damage Sake's attack would have done given their PLs, and just elaborated on thaat

PL:23,163 "I suppose it's not a good day if explosions don't start it" Verst mused to himself watching two figures blast away at one another, he decided this might be of some entertainment and flew over to investigate, he saw two very different creatures, one was clearly a saiyan, the other... well he could find out later.
He flew over to see a large amount of blasts heading towards the saiyan, he decided to see if the saiyan could take it before he would interfere. Verst didn't do anything to conceal himself, in fact he powered up, his pale blue aura radiating from himself. His arms crossed one another covering his armor as he intently watch then fight. He needed to gauge their strengths before the fight included him.

He clenched his jaw as he watched the aftermath of his altered attack. The blast was still basic but a full powered one. But it seemed to do little to nothing but annoy the little creature. It was fast becoming obvious that this thing was stronger than him. But he couldn't figure out why. His first sensing of this thing had put them at almost equal strength but now....something seemed different. As if something hidden was uncovered and shown. He blast faded and he watched the little creature turn to face him. He chuckled at what he had been asked but didn't bother to answer. No point in it.
He had to remain on his toes so to speak. His tail unwrapped from his waist and swayed side to side lightly in annoyed eagerness before it wrapped back around his waist. The fact he had his weights on probably had something to do with this difference of strength. He hadn't really used these things before during a fight. His eyes caught the movement of that hand, raising up and taking aim at him. Indeed, it's turn to attack. A ki assault came his way and he knew better than to let that hit him. A barrage like that would do him a great amount of damage at this difference of power. So he did the smart thing. He bounced back a few steps and unleashed his own barrage of ki blasts. Detonating each blast that came his way and kicking up a cloud of dust in the process.
During this though, he felt the arrival of another. Someone else had come to play. Well as fun as that would be, he had his hands more than full with this little creature. But it didn't stop him from doing something stupid. Getting a feel for the ki he took the chance to look in the direction. Just so he could get a look at the new arrival. He growled to himself seeing a familiar form but at this distance he couldn't make out much more than the basics. He knew it was an Arcosian. His defense faltered under this little moment and one blast slipped through and caught him square in the chest. The impact snapped him back to the task at hand as he stumbled back three steps. Damned that hurt like hell!
With his barrage broken and the dust cloud blocking their sight he had to dodge to one side to avoid the rest of the assault. Even through his armor he had felt that attack. He growled as he braced himself and began charging his ki. Building as much power as he could. The ground around him, as well as the air itself began to tremble, and soon the little creature would feel this. But most would think this to be some form of earth tremor or the beginnings of a quake. But instead.....it was his specialty. He often used it to shake up his opponents and in his attacks. " That hurt! So what say we stop playing around ugly and give the newcomer a show? " This was going to determine if he needed to remove his weights or keep them on. It would be smart to keep them on, to get the best use of their purpose. But.....two on one? This little thing was the bigger problem of course.
Once again, a burst of power launched him forward. He preferred hand to hand combat in most cases. More satisfying and greater skill. He would come in from above the dust cloud, but each fist, was now charged with energy just in cast this thing tried that headbutt again.

Welcome Verst! Hope you enjoy the show/match! And no worries Nabel.

What?' The boy gave a confused little pout, as he struggled to wrap his head around this new information Something that the Saiyan had said threw him for a loop, he knew it, but he wasn't sure what had done. What could have derailed him so quickly? 'Run that again for me, brain.' The demon blinked, before gawking at the new arrival, then back at his opponent. 'A show?' Those words echoed in Nabel's mind for a few more seconds before everything finally began to make sense. 'I am such an idiot. Nabel sighed, as his form eased slightly. He wasn't facing a would-be villain in the making. The lad just had the misfortune of being struck by a ki blast, from a stereotypical Saiyan warrior. And though the very core of his being felt immense relief was over him, the demon was a little dismayed at this realization. Perhaps it was the boy's hidden longing for recognition, the one that ceased to be buried alongside his deceased master, that lead him to that rash train of thought. And that wasn't just a sign of emotional fragility, but of mental lacking and spiritual weakness. Two things that would have no doubt disappointed his old teacher. Still, this did present the boy an opportunity to better himself, as his thoughts finally. He would follow the Turtle Hermit's advice, and fight less like a brute, and more like the warrior that he was. Nabel's pride and honor depended on it, that's what the demon thought at least as he felt the taint slowly slip away from his aura. With the woman's words still fresh in his mind, he threw out any misgivings, and focused entirely on the duel that lay ahead. The cogs and gears of battle began turning in his thoughts, clinking and clanking from the rust of disuse. But the martial arts machine still performed perfectly, despite being in a state of disrepair. And the if boy could fully utilize this mental device, then he could return it and himself to top form in no time. In other words, it was on like Donkey Kong. And being a frequent bar-dweller, Nabel was rather competitive when it came to old arcade cabinets, especially Donkey Kong. "I'll play along then, ya goon." He shot back with a grin, his harsh expression softening significantly. That murderous intent in his ki was gone, though his power was no less potent. "Feast your eyes, changeling!" He called out loudly, a more honest enthusiasm in his tone, as he pointed at the Arcosian. Despite having seemingly given up the evil energy, the boy's aura still shone with power. Make no mistakes, Nabel was in top form. "Because I'm going to rock you-" He crushed a loose stone beneath his boots, as he shifted his pointing towards the Saiyan's direction, before falling into a battle stance. With that, he charged to meet his aggressor, winds seemingly buffeting around the demon. The whirlwinds kicking up around his figure weren't any ordinary phenomenon. It was excess ki, born from the boy welling up his life energy within his chest. Was he charging an attack, perhaps? "- like a hurricane!"He threw a flurry of ki-charged kicks at the much taller figure, his renewed focus showing much less openings this time around. It helped that his minuscule height made him a hard target to actually find. It seemed like the demon aimed to match his foe blow for blow, hoping to pressure the currently weaker fighter into making a mistake. And with more than a decade of martial arts training under his belt, the ever inebriated dwarf was certainly equipped for the task.
You're up Verst ! I hope you enjoy threading with the two of us

Verst contemplated the scene before him, he's always enjoyed fighting, watching, participating, discussing it, fights fascinated him. This fight was engaging, the two were fighting 'for him', they were fighting for his amusement. That thought he stored for later. The saiyan and the other creature seemed to be very invested in their fight, both taunting and making a show of the fight, like the fight was a spectacle and they were gonna make it shine.
A smirk appeared beneath Verst's mask, his posture relaxed, becoming more open. His pale blue aura gently wreathing him in blue flames. Suddenly the two figures collided a flurry of punches and kicks between them was fierce and fast. They both had very distinct styles, the smaller one using the lengths in his legs, the other ferociously throwing swings at him.
Verst's eyes lit up, it'd been so long since he'd seen or been in a fight that was this fierce, but it was so passionate at the same time, like they weren't just fighting selfishly but were fighting for him. "Keep it up! You're giving me a great show!" Verst shouted to them, unsure if they'd hear through the blood rushing in their ears.

He grinned when things picked up. Surprised that this little creature finally started fighting with some actual skill. But the over the top antics was a bit...well...over the top. He could sense a change about the little fighter but he wasn't sure what it was other than the skill level suddenly spiking. " So you do know how to fight! Good...I was beginning to think you had no skill at all. " Putting on a show was one thing, but being talked to as if they were mere entertainment was another. Arcosians....they were all the same to him. And he'd let this one get a taste of the fight soon enough. But for now....his focus had to remain on his opponent.
Each of his attacks were met by the shorter fighter. The size difference made this an even greater challenge, but one he was more than able to handle. For now at least. Punches, kicks, elbow strikes, knee strikes. All laced with ki met and countered, dodged and deflected. It didn't take long for him to find out that his opponent was seeking to slip in a strike to some open area. The same tactic he would be using of course. The trouble of course...size difference and strength difference. Even hand to hand combat, as fast paced as it was, he was still out classed. He felt it each time he met an attack or deflected one.
He felt the impact even through the ki lacing, was strong and damaging. But it drove his warriors blood on regardless. He lived for battle, lived to keep himself sharp and improving. But despite all of that, he was loosing ground, and eventually the numbness from the blows left an opening for the little warrior to go for. His left lower side was unguarded. And he was going for a feint to get in a straight jab.

The 80's throwbacks.....lol...
|
|
|
Post by Nabel on Jul 1, 2017 7:02:22 GMT
OOC Note:Did somebody say, 80s throwbacks? I got eighties throwbacks for days! >;3 The whole fight became infinitely less stressful the moment that Nabel threw away his grievances. Had he realized the misunderstanding earlier, the demon could've had a whole lot more fun with the situation. But who could really blame him at this point? Time after time, the lad was pulled into brawls by complete brutes who only fought for the faint feeling of domination. And though the boy could've just beat it at any time, and flee from the scenes unharmed and unopposed, his anger at his status in life drove his mind deeper down under.
He held a tainted love for combat, one birthed by the death of his beloved master, and grown by the hatred that everyone seemed to force down upon him. Even when he had resided in hell, the boy was preyed upon by all manner of bastards and villains. His adversaries seemed to crave for his flesh, hungering for it like a wolf. The demon had grown wary of his surroundings and the people that inhabited it, because every breath he took could have been his last.
Each little slip, each careless whisper, each pointed glare, Nabel felt as though the world was watching all of his actions, waiting for the right opportunity to pounce. And it shattered his faith in humanity, and by extension, the rest of the races on this god forsaken planet. For the longest time, he just wanted a way to make everyone else feel his hurt. Everybody else wanted to rule the world, but Nabel wanted to crush it beneath his worn, weathered boots.
Key word being 'wanted'. With the collapse of his kingdom, his shot at bringing the world to his knees, the boy seemed to be smacked hard in the face by cold reality. And with that threshold crossed, the lad felt an odd sense of relief. No longer was he under pressure to fight back. He was wiser and wearier now, no longer living in a box. He could see clearly now. Now he could follow his own path, the way of the martial arts.
And he held that thought in his mind, as he stared down the Saiyan in front of him, a smile spread out across his leaking cheeks. While on a blue Monday, with the full moon beating down on their backs, their situations would've been reversed. An Oozaru would have trounced him completely. But instead he bore the power of the Makyo Star, and he would bear it well. This was a chance to improve, not just his technique and body, but his spirt and mind as well.
"Let's dance!" Even the thug's backhanded compliment couldn't let him down, as the former king could feel how much better he was faring. He had matched the Saiyan blow for blow, and not only succeeded, but wore his opponent down to the point of finding an opening, and a great one at that. It was an easy opportunity blow to the liver, a game-ending move even in fights that didn't involve super-powered warriors.
So Nabel decided to risk it. Accepting the straight jab that came his way, the one-armed martial artist ceased his kicks, the rest of his body flowing into his next attack. A sudden, diving backfist was aimed directly at his opponent's liver. How would this move fare, given their current states?

The fight grew more spectacular as he watched, his words seemed to have taunted the saiyan, Verst once again smirked, the sheer enjoyment of watching two people fight filled him as a unexpected wave of jealousy also ensued, he wanted in on this fight, the two fighters had caused his cold blood to start pumping, adrenaline raced through his veins and the fight was calling to him.
Then the two fighters made two decisive strikes against one another, a laugh somehow made it's way up Verst's throat watching them land. "Can I get in on this fight?" Verst shouted to the two of them, he flew closer waiting for the two fighter's responses.

There was always risk in every aspect of a fighters life to some degree. Training and fighting held the highest levels of course. But if one was trained and experienced enough in combat, risk and mistakes could be spotted, lessened, or avoided. But of course this ability was not always a sure thing. Like now for instance. He had seen his mistake the moment before his jab was about to connect with his opponents face. There was no way to stop now, but he was exposed, and he would pay for that. But he was going to try his best to lessen the impact. Because he knew one thing, if hit in the right spot he was down for the count. And he was just getting started and had no intention of stopping because of one lucky blow.
He relaxed his body as best as he could, and concentrated his ki to his left side. And he hoped it would be enough as his tiny opponent seemed to spin with the impact of his jab, and went into a full blown diving back hand. The strike soon caught him, and he found the aim was to his liver. Indeed a match ending move had he not managed some small defense against it. He used the impact as well to create distance between them as he held his left side, gritting his teeth at the pain that shot through him. His ki falling away to almost nothing as he fought back against his body. He wasn't going to fall....not to this little thing, not this easily. But damned was he in bad shape. His whole body was numb and now racked with pain.
He glared at the little warrior but managed a half grin before looking up to the arcosian. This one was wanting in now as well. He could use that hopefully to buy some time. But that could also work against them if they teamed up against him. But he had asked for this. This test of his skills and abilities. Stronger and weaker opponents, even equal strength opponents were all within the possible arrivals. The stronger the better. He forced himself upright, but still clutched his right side. " Join in if you feel like it. "

LOL I believe it. Now lets see how wild this gets....

Nabel gasped and gaped as he stared down his stricken foe, rubbing his stinging cheeks all the while. That last jab from the Saiyan had done a number on his face, perhaps hurting even more than the prior blast of ki. Though perhaps he should've expected the pain, seeing as how he had purposefully turned off his defensive ki in order to close the gap for an attack, the armored warrior's intensity still surprised him. If they had been fighting without that tainted blot in the sky drawing out the lad's strength, they would have been on even ground. That put some fire into the boy's reddened eye.
Nabel then took a moment to sigh, clearing out the excess essence-fueled rage in his system with a hum, before letting an honest-to-gods smile twist onto his chapped lips. It had only been his second fight in the longest while, and it too proved to be much tougher than the biy had originally anticipated. Despite having the clear advantage at the moment, what with all the power he had summoned from the Makyo Star, his opponent was no pushover. The Saiyan obviously had strength and skill in abundance, with their previous exchange of supersonically speedy blows pushing Nabel to a certain upper limit.
It wasn't the limit of his current strength, but during that last tradeoff, the demon had to actively keep his focus up in order to both defend himself properly, and to find an opening for an attack. There was no doubting it, he was having a workout. The burning sensation in his three limbs was one that didn't know he had missed, when he took his several month long hiatus from the world of fighting. He was oddly happy with the results of his little brawl, even though he definitely wasn't enjoying himself at first.
Now that he knew that the stakes weren't quite so high, he could just cut loose, kick bag and let everything else fall into place without disrupting the order of it all too badly. And that would happen through continuing the fight with all of his efforts, no matter how Herculean it might become. The Saiyan could take it, probably. And his excitement only grew as the other fighter voiced their desire to join up. The once great Empire surely produced fine warriors as well.
"Sure thing! Get on out here, mister!" The boy was flat out giving an ax-crazy grin, as he spun in place rapidly, waves of wind forming around him as he did so. He had enthusiasm for days it seemed. Nabel had wanted to fight an Arcosian since meeting Defrosch (and the Changeling's distractingly cute lackey), and an opportunity was right at his doorstep. Now was a chance to fulfill that desire, and he wouldn't let go of the Frost Demon until he was completely satisfied with their performance. Still, he took a moment to cool off once more, enjoying the opportunity for a brief respite.
"Before we go any further-" He asked, as he fell into another fighting stance, though he was obviously merely steeling himself for what was to come in just a little bit. "What are your names?" He tilted his head, awaiting their responses. Now that he knew that this was a proper fight between actual fighters, no matter how much pride some of the, carried, he was more than willing to share and receive this information. After all, they were all skilled martial artists here. And there was no point in unneeded disrespect, beyond the taunts that came naturally in the heat of the moment.
