They had arrived on Jahissa, the Saiyeness having spent the majority of her time on the ship helping to maintain the various bits and pieces of the ship that she knew how to fix. She was not as technical savvy as Levlidian was, and that was mainly because she had been the caretaker when they were growing up. Perhaps, if she had actually taken the time to do for herself when she was younger, she would be a different person than she was. However, she could not really sit there and think about the past now could she? The past was just that...the past. A part of her heart sank at that thought, because in the past..Levlidian and her had been close, very close. Now, that bond they had had as kids, it would never be the same and she had to come to terms with that thought.
Levlidian and Durian had decided to go out and do a little exploring on their own, and she had stayed behind with the ship. They needed their time alone, and no matter how much she hated that idea....it was how it was going to be. She loved Levlidian enough to let him have the life he wanted, no matter how much it hurt her. Wasn't that how it had always been? Wasn't she always the one giving him what he needed, helping to make him stronger, helping to make him...happy? She let out a sigh, shaking her head as she pushed herself up away from the desk she had been sitting at, her head had been resting in her palms. She needed a workout and knew it would be one of the best ways for her to clear her head. It always was. Steps carried her towards the gravity chamber, and she looked towards the virtual reality machine that Levlidian had installed. It was time to take another trip into the past....no matter how much it terrified her.
Takeshii's fingers moved over the machine, entering in the coding that would take her back to the time she wanted to revisit. She would not press the button right away, but turned towards the control panel on the wall, and pressed the button that would close the door, and begin to add the weight she would be training with that day. It was not an instantaneous smack of gravity, but a slow descend upon her shoulders, slowly beginning to cause her steps to weigh down as she made her way back to the virtual reality machine. Fingers lifted, and it felt like someone was holding her hand down, trying to stop her from pressing that button...as if it knew what this was going to do to her. Shuddering breath was taken within expanding lungs, and finger made purchase on the button. Within an instant, her whole world changed, plummetting her back to a day after Levlidian had left. A day full of darkness. A day when she would realize what his leaving had turned her into...a monster.
Takeshii was flying through the twilight skies, her dark gaze scanning the streets below. She had been monitoring one of their long term enemies for some time, tracking his motion every chance she got. She was waiting for the right time to strike, having never been one to just strike without a sense that SHE would be the one in control in that moment. The time came, as she watched Bercu stepping into the dark shadows of the alley below. The young man seemed oblivious, not even realizing she was right there above him...at least not until it was too late. The whoosh of air as she descended was the only give away she was near, and at the last moment, before her fist made the impact with his face, she saw his gaze rise and recognition slowly coming into those big brown eyes. He knew why she was there...he knew what she had come for.
The shuddering crack of sound would fill the air as her fist made contact with his face, and it was the sound of shattering nose that seemed to grind its way into her very soul. Blood oozed in rivulets from Bercu's broken nose, sliding down over his now blood tainted lips, before dripping from his chin to the ground below. Bercu's hand instinctively lifted to find his nose, covering it with his palm in a hopes to stauch the bleeding. Words full of venom and malice would slip from the young Saiyans mouth, words now garbelled as he tried to speak without causing himself more damage.
"Takethiii...you thinkth you can thtop what happened to Levlidian? You thinkth you can turn back what we did to him? You are weak. You were weak then...you are weak now. Thtupid girl. You could have joined uth then and been thtrongerth...no. You chothe that stupid Levlidian. You always chothe him."
She stood there for a moment, the sound of knuckles snapping as her fingers curled into fists as she looked at him. She did not gift him with a response, Takeshii having become one that was short with her words now. What was the point of explaining her reasoning behind what she did anymore...no one ever listened. She simply smirked, and there was a deadly look in the gaze of the woman. The look of a lioness, hell bent on destruction. Cold, calculating...hungry. She lifted her fists again and would begin a volley of punches to his midsection. Bercu began to catch on to her motions, zipping away from time to time, so that her fists barely grazed his body. However, she was focused, her fists a deadly weapon when they wanted to be. One of the strikes would hit him hard in the kidney and it would send him flying backward, slamming against the brick wall behind him and sending shattered stone flying everywhere. He was nestled in the dented recess of the wall now, and she stood there....barely even winded.
Takeshii barely took a moment, zooming forward as fast as a bullet, her fist raised, only this time...she did not punch him. Her fingers uncurled and would find his throat, wrapping around it, and slowly beginning to squeeze. Like a boa constrictor, cutting off the very breath he so desperately needed, she squeezed and she would not let up. For several moments she held him like that, her eyes dark and cold as they gazed into his own. There was no fear there, only hatred....pain....anger. Her body, lithe yet firm, would be pressed against his own, breath causing her chest to expand as her words would finally come. Growled through clenched teeth, they rumbled from her body, her lips having moved to find his ears as she spoke.
"For years you teased Levlidian because he was weaker than you Bercu. For years there was nothing I could do about it, but sit and watch you try to break the boy that was my best friend. Now....now I am stronger and I am here for revenge. I cared not about joining your little band of misfits. You were nothing to me....are nothing to me....will never be anything to me. I did not need your crew to become stronger. I did not need anyone to become stronger....I had ME!"
She continued to squeeze, feeling the very life within the young Saiyan slowly slipping away, and she could not help herself. The anger and rage she had felt from the loss of her best friend, it was the only thing that drove the Saiyeness now. Takeshii pulled back from his ear, her eyes looking him deadpan, and Bercu had seen that she was different than she had been when they were younger. He saw that something had snapped within her, something had darkened the very soul of the once kind Saiyan. Fear, genuine fear filled his eyes as he started to struggle, lifting his knee, trying to lift his foot and kick her away from him. He managed to make an impact against her knee, causing it to buckle and bend backward, her grip coming loose and sending him plummetting to the ground beneath himself. Takeshii stumbled backward, her leg wobbly as she screamed in rage, the scream sounding more like a lions roar, thundering against the walls that surrounded them.
She said nothing more, but then there was no reason to continue on with words that would fall upon deaf ears anyway. She launched herself off the ground, her fingers curling into fists fueled by that rage that this man and so many had caused her over over the years. She no longer cared whether he lived or died. Why should she care? He had not cared when he and his cohorts had picked on and beaten up Levlidian when they were younger. Her fists flew, and even in that gravity chamber, the fists of the Saiyan flew, weighted down by the weight of the chamber. However, she did not feel the strain on her body, as her mind was fully focused on what was going on that reality that was no longer a reality, but some image left over within her memory. Fists lands against his face, shattering more bones. They pounded on his ribs cage and abdomen, again and again sending him flying back against the wall, only for her to grip him around the throat again, and body slams him against the next wall. She allowed her anger and sadness to consume her, and it did.
Takeshii was no longer herself, and she had not realized how far she had truly fallen down that hole. The hole seemed bottomless to her, and she did not seem to care. Her muscles rippled with motion, sweat starting to slide down over her feminine yet well-toned form. Yet, still, she did not stop. She did not even stop when Bercu's body was held lifeless in her grip, continuing to pulverize his body until the crimson of her rage finally reached its peak. She flew into the air, spinning in a back flip, and would fling that lifeless body down towards the ground, watching in satisfaction as it made an impact and concaved the ground. Her movement stopped then, and she just floated there in the air, chest rising and falling in panted motion as she gazed down at the dead man's body. A young man that had been her friend at one point, until he had decided to take a darker path....a path she now traveled down.
Slowly Takeshii descended as her rage began to subside. Slowly she lowered herself to the ground until she felt the solid form of it beneath her very feet. It was then she crumpled to her knees beside the lifeless body. She had never killed anyone before, but the emotional impact of what had happened recently had turned her into this monster that no longer seemed to care...or did she. Maybe that was why she was acting like she did because she cared because she deeply felt the loss of Levlidian from her life. The Saiyaness would lower her chin to her chest as she knelt there beside Bercu's body. She did not even realize she had been crying until she felt the droplets of moisture falling down onto her hands. Hands that were still clutched into fists. They would slowly unfurl, falling to plant themselves on either side of her kneeling form. As she knelt, her leg sort of jutted off to the side at an odd angle from where it had been broken. She was going to have to get that fixed, but she could not even think about that at this very moment.
Takeshii pushed herself upwards, lifting Bercu's body with her own. Though the fight was over, she had a point to make. Flying off like a dart, she found the little hovel that the young men had started hanging out at. She roared again in anger, dropping the body down at the footsteps of the place, listening to the thud as it hit the ground with that lifeless *splat* of sound. She waited until the others departed from the building, her gaze looking over each of them in turn as they frantically looked around for the culprit of their friends' death. When their gaze lifted, she could see the recognition in them, and she would simply smirk, before finally allowing a voice dripped with venom to come from her lips.
"This...this is what happens to those that decide to abuse a defenseless person. Remember this the next time you decide to do so....because I WILL be back!"
Like a flash of lightening, she spun through the air, and took off through the sky, the dark shadows consuming her in little time. She flew to the one place where she knew she could recenter herself...regain her composure. Their cave. As she landed outside the cave, their den...she would step inside, and it was the familiar sights of their campfire, their bedrolls...pictures they had hung on the walls. It was all of that that hit her at once, combined with what just happened, and she fell to her knees again and just wept. She wept for times past, and she wept for the loss of a friend...one she did not know if she would ever see again. At that time, she had expected the worst, had prepared herself for it even. She had never expected to be able to see Levlidian again. Now, she practically lived with him.
The virtual reality image would slowly fade away, leaving the Saiyaness kneeling there in the weighted room of that gravity chamber. Even in the here and now she shed tears, and there was no real way to stop them. She had killed....killed because of pain and sadness. She had killed because of love and care. SHE HAD KILLED! Takeshii slowly slipped to a stand, making her way over to the panel to press the button and release the weight that had been bearing down upon her form. The hiss of the air releasing it could be heard, as sweat slicked form would turn towards the now opening door. She stopped there, bracing her palm upon the door frame. Looking over her shoulder, she clenched her teeth and came to one single conclusion. Never again would she allow her love for another to consume her like that...it wasn't worth it. Love wasn't worth it. Her fingers coiled around the edge of that metal doorframe, causing an indention from her fingertips. For several moments she just stood there like that, let those memories slip away. It was going to be hard, hard not to let herself care about him...but she had to. It was going to be the only way she was going to move on with her life. Her nostrils would flare again, her eyes closing as she shook her head and pushed herself off of that door frame. Her words would come then, cold...almost heartless...and very short.
"Never, again!"
