Grunt was travelling around Earth for quite a while, to get used to what it looked like and to remember important locations, but the one place he rarely visited yet is the Southern Islands, where it was home to luxurious homes and islands, where the cities were mostly based. He tried to avoid these islands as most people don't consider Grunt's appearance very... appealing, but he decided to try and build relations with people. If he was going to stay on Earth for a while, he might as well not try to be a target, or try to not give any ammunition for them to attack him he thought. So he was already flying on his way to the Southern Islands and reached one of the cities, he flew down and tried to walk on the sidewalk that was full of people, but they were all running. They were scared of what he looked like clearly, so much for being nice.
Anyway, Grunt walked on ahead to look around the city, on the street he was currently on it was full of stands that were trying to sell something, but were abandoned because of Grunt. He entered one of the buildings garages to find a long, spacious room and in it he could see a man operating a forklift with it carrying a lot of boxes. He walked up to the man and he was soon shocked, but said "Please don't hurt me! I already had a crappy day, I need to get this work done, just leave me alone please..." Grunt then looked at the forklift with interest, he eventually figured out how it worked and then he tried to lift what the forklift was lifting, with close to no effort he managed to carry all the boxes with great balance and then he looked to the man "Where do you need these?" the man pointed at the spot and Grunt managed to walk over to the intended spot with all the balanced boxes with ease, he planted the boxes down and it was done.
The man ran up to Grunt, looking amazed "The contents of those boxes would make any man just crash down to the ground, how did you lift them so easily? are you one of those martial artists or something?" Grunt shaked his head. "No, I landed on Earth a few weeks ago and I'm just trying to learn about it better." the man had a confused look on his face "Well... I don't know anything about that, but if you have spare time, do you want to help me lift the rest of those boxes? I'm even willing to pay you." Grunt also got confused at this, "Pay me? what do you mean by that?" the man then brought out his wallet, and started to bring out notes "If you're an alien, you probably don't know how things work here. Basically we have a money system where in order to live, we have to pay for living necessities like paying for rent to live in a house, or paying for food." Grunt thought about it for a second, "I mostly hunt for food, but having a place to stay does sound good. I'll work towards that then." the man smiled, "Alright! I thought I had to dummy it down, but I'm glad you're understanding. Let's get the rest of those boxes."
The man went back into the forklift to help Grunt carry the rest of the boxes to the garage doors, all though Grunt was mostly doing it faster and in half an hour, managed to successfully bring all the boxes to the garage doors. The man looked at Grunt "Good job! that would've taken me five hours max, but you made it look so easy." Grunt questioned why they were moving so many boxes to the doors, "Why are all the boxes over there?" the man replied "Oh, that's so the truck can come later and easily put them in, we just made it easier for them, hold on, let me call my boss and say everything is done here." and he proceeded to do so, but yelling can be heard from the phone. The call ended rather fast and the man started to lead Grunt into a hiding spot "Quick! my boss is coming, hide over this column here and don't be seen. I don't think he'll take a liking to you." and soon enough, he ran straight back up to meet the boss in person.
"Okay, there's no way you can be done so quick-" the boss pauses as it sounds like he takes a look around to see the boxes are well stacked at the garage doors, the job was done. "How... you did that in an hour? that was your work for the day... what the hell?" he had a confused look on his face, but the man grinned, saying "All in a day's work sir." the boss's surprise quickly turned to a happy attitude. "Well I'll be damned! I didn't think you would even do this job right, I'm sorry I doubted you like that! here, here's your pay for the day, and here's an extra on me for doubting you! that's some damn fine work." the boss gives out tons of money notes to the man, the boss then said "In-fact, take the day off. I expect you to keep up this workload tomorrow, you'll be greatly compensated for it." and the boss walked off, the man ran back to Grunt and opened up his wallet. "Jesus christ, he gave me a lot of Zeni... here, have your cut of the workload, I'd say it's pretty generous if you ask me. Will you be back here tomorrow? I'll pay you again." Grunt then thought about it, but he shaked his head. "I don't want to spend everyday here, I'll come work when I'm in need of money." then Grunt flew off, the man tried to give chase to talk to him but to no avail. Thus, ending the day. Grunt received a bit of money for a simple lifting job.
