Grunts could be heard… or rather, it was snores from the dormant predator inside the cave. It was loud enough to scare off any trespassers or intruder, and after several displays of dominance, the young, dark boy expected no challenges today. Now that he thought about it, it had got quite boring… whilst in his sleep, he couldn’t stop thinking of anything else than fighting someone with all his might. Compared to his life now in the Frozen North, a single roar is enough to devastate an entire mountain. The beast had got bored of the constantly hiding scaredy-cats and yearned for a time where things were a little more with blood, sweat and tears.
The cave was getting cold. His fur, which functioned as a duvet, warmed his body up during the night, but he dreamt of a lot of things meanwhile. Things which could possibly be sufficient as warming and entertainment if not for the fur’s presence and remembrance of its purpose; days of fighting with that old man and Hana, showing off his potential in the world’s greatest tournaments. Despite living like a wild dog, on top of being known as a myth by few and as a nightmare-like monster by the rest who lived in the large town in the same realm, he actually got to know a little about martial arts… or well, a more proper way of martial arts. He couldn’t just conclude that he knew all of it due to constantly using his fingers as claws and ripping bones from beasts’ bodies, meat from skin and other actions. In those thoughts, he stood up and coughed softly, looking around his cave for any signs of suspicion. “…” His voice was silent during the check, but everything seemed to be in order, just as he expected.
It didn’t take long until that the boy leapt off the entrance of the cave and dived into the forest. Woods jumped out as he passed the shrubbery, but he simply phased them from his point of view, while in the real world, he wrecked through all the obstacles. A road of fallen branches would be left behind his track as he sought for breakfast. The method was easy now that he had done it quite a good amount of times; the first thing that moves is a rat. He kept looking down when he was searching, because obviously, rats were smaller than him. If he needed a larger meal, then he had to look towards the end of the forest horizontally. His eyes would determine distance if a proper prey was found, locking in before he sent the finishing blow. He never questioned his way of finding food since his mother’s departure, and it kept him alive for years, so… why would he? This was his way of life here, and only Kami knew if his life was to change even more than it already had. That old man…, his mind echoed whilst his body rushed through the woods.
Something was odd. Raida would swear that he would’ve met at least five beasts out in the forest by now, but the woods was empty for life. All that he passed were worms and smaller lifeforms. Alone by that, he could tell due to his instincts that something was seriously wrong… he didn’t know that they would completely flee from the area. Now that he thought about that reason, it didn’t really make sense as the forest was cornered by an empty grass field that covered thousands of quadrat kilometers, promising a death out of boredom and lack of food for the predators. They couldn’t have vanished on their own… then what happened while Raida was sleeping?
He could smell something weird. It wasn’t the smell of blood, this time. Normally, Raida had enhanced his nose to be capable of smelling blood from afar, but this time, not a single stain was to be smelled in miles around him. Stopping in the middle of his track, the young Saiyan turned his head around and sniffed. “…” This was getting on his nerves now, and he didn’t know when to be calm and when not to, in which it ended with a roar coming out of his mouth: “WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORGH!!!!” The woods were shattering by his packed bellow which reached miles into the background, over the horizon and towards foreign cities. He was getting angry over this mystery, because it signaled that everything wasn’t normal anymore. He hated that.
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE!?! SPEAK OUT!!!” he kept roaring out like no tomorrow. Normally, it would be inappropriate and unnecessary to roar out like that, but… thanks to his Saiyan genes, he could still smell the scent of Ki. Despite the weak amount, they were here. “… I can’t believe that I’m wasting breath on you fools..!” he began to rebuke. One would not be able to spot them that easily, but feeling that they had been exposed, they stepped out from the shadows. “G-Guys… stay calm,” one of the strangers told the others, “… this one shows signs of intellect, intelligence. We might make it…” His voice was so quiet, Raida could barely hear it. Who was these intruders? Thinking of the word ‘intruders’, Raida suddenly discarded the question and went for action; a blaze surrounded the men as he began powering up in pure instinct and out of intimidation. “Guys, what’s going on..?!” another stranger spoke out loud, “T-This animal… it’s going to kill us! I’m sure of it!” Raida couldn’t but scratch his head by that statement, but then again, how did they taste? As far as he remembered, humanoid creatures tasted the worst, and because of their lack of fur, their flesh was cold and wet. Not something for him, if you would ask him yourself. “…” Raida was about to charge, but something caught his lungs; smoke? Because of the curiosity, he didn’t notice the purple fog that suddenly overcame his very powerlevel, taking the young, dark Saiyan into a dream…
“… I-Is he dead?” one of the guys asked out. He was specifically asking a silhouette in the background, which answered back: “No. Keep him alive, because I need him… I need his Ki…” The silhouette faded away like a ghost moving into a wall, leaving the group of humans around the fainted Saiyan… what creature could subdue a beast like him?
… He could hear dirt being pushed away. Moreover, he could feel his body being pulled along the ground. What was going on now? Why was he experiencing this? The boy never faced an episode like this one before, so it was no wonder that sweat was trickling off his body. Also, before that he fainted, he could sense a strange ki that rivaled his own. Was that the cause of him losing strength? He couldn’t but speculate as his body felt numb, muscle-less. Whatever the strange ki was, it was stronger than expected.
“… Huh, it’s lighter than I thought,” one of the males spoke, “To think that this is it… the Frozen North’s Roar itself. Say goodbye to the shitty apartment, boys!” They all cheered at that statement like hooligans, while Raida was being moved further and further away from his home. His ki was fading out, so he could barely collect power enough to lift a hand, something that pissed him off at the moment. Oh well, he couldn’t act like usual when he was pissed off, so that made him even angrier. He wasn’t some helpless animal… he was a predator! They would taste his anger the second that his power would return, but meanwhile, he witnessed himself leaving the terrain and being launched into some room. They closed the door and darkness overwhelmed the little boy…
He waited. That was the most logical thing to do, so that was his plan. Waiting. It sounded boring for himself, but what was he supposed to do? He waited for the moment where he could feel and move his limbs, then stand up and do nothing but pure, angered destruction. The room had changed meanwhile; light was emitting from all four walls now. He could still not move a single limb, but his ears began twitching as something made its way towards him. He began shaking, trying his best to get up and beat the life out of whatever was nearby; friend or foe, he was angry as ever before! What dared trap him like this?! The steps intensified and Raida could suddenly hear them approach him quicker, until a grab pulled him up of the ground. Then, he could finally open a lid and watch into the being’s eyes… what. Was. That?
Raida couldn’t stop shaking as he felt his power decreasing once again. From the grab, Ki surged from his body and into the figure’s. “Huehue… it’s not much, but Saiyan aura is always so tasty!” the stranger said. He then threw Raida to the ground again, feeling full, “Believe me, boy; you’re just the first step to my invasion…” He assumed Raida dead by that point, in which the strange being closed the door again. Inside the room, Raida laid on the floor, almost lifeless. He felt so tired, so exhausted… but no matter how exhausted that the hybrid Saiyan was, it wouldn’t even come close to the amount of anger that he possessed; pure rage boiled off of his skin like black fire…
