Name: Ginge
Alias: Officer Ginge
Species: Saiyan
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Appearance
Sporting short-cropped hair and a smaller frame than one would expect, Ginge does not instill confidence in those beside her or intimidation in those apart from her. While she does claim a respectable amount of muscle tone, comparisons to her Saiyan brethren are inevitable, leaving much to be desired. She stands at five feet-seven inches, and weighs only one-hundred thirty-two pounds.
Either due to the culture in which she was raised or personal preference, she finds it difficult to part with traditional Saiyan battle garb. Boots and black spandex provide little protection where her breastplate doesn't reach, and wrist guards of a similar nature stop shy of her knuckles. Her dark brown tail is never covered by her clothing, but rather held proudly aloft when out and about, or wrapped securely around her waist in combat. The dark tone of her hair was once dyed a reddish-purple, now leaving her short locks with the barest hint of color that only shows itself under the right lighting.
History
From the very beginning, Ginge was destined for mediocrity. Her pitiful amount of power guaranteed her spot among the trash, leaving little to be expected of the girl. No, instead, she was told to fend for herself, given only so much direction as she knew how to ball a fist, then left to her own accord. To say so was unfair is not to understand the way of the Saiyan mind.
Her childhood was no better than one might expect. Shelter came and went, as did providers. When she was old enough to go out on her own and catch supper, she was given little other choice. One thing that remained the same, however, was the presence of peers. They were all alike, deemed worthless by the elite that ruled their people, yet indispensable to one another. The word friend was never uttered, yet their small group came to find itself together often. Game that had been killed was contested over, leaving those who couldn't fight back to come back the next day and try again. In a weird way, she now looks back on these days with a strange fondness.
However, such innocence wouldn't last for long, as the Saiyan way was just as cruel as its people. What little leeway that was given to children was not presented to the grown, and the young woman had to earn her keep. It wouldn't please her to do anything else. Companions turned to rivals, and rivals into foes.
Children became soldiers.
For the first time in her life, Ginge felt that her existence held purpose. She was not fit to rule, nor to care. She was born to fight. To bring the enemies of her people to their knees was her ambition. To be used on the battlefield, her greatest pleasure. What she lacked in strength and cunning, she made up for with speed and ferocity. Her comrades in arms could spend all their days exhausting themselves with extravagant shows of force and ki, while she was more than happy to address her opponents personally with what could only be described as an all-out brawl.
She had found her home, the one place where she felt that she truly belonged. Regardless of her own personal shortcomings, when standing alongside her brethren on the battlefield, she was a part of a whole that cared little for her poor start in life. From one planet to the next, she and her squad would prove themselves in victory, bring shame in defeat, and lose those they had grown close to with death. They won many and lost some, striving to leave their mark in the dirt in which they bled, groveled and fought.
Starting Planet: Planet Vegeta
