Nai-Ran had had a lot on her mind lately. Her tail had been feeling better and better every day. In fact, she was just about back to her full strength again. Tomorrow was actually going to be a big day for her as long as today went well enough. She was finally going back to Satan City after her confrontation with Oni. The young woman hadn’t been meaning to put this particular trip off for so long, but she had taken quite a while to get back up to full speed with having to have her tail completely reformed and all. At least her muscles had healed up quite nicely. She just needed to make sure she was going to be able to make the trip.
The serpentine lass would actually be heading out to Satan City for something incredibly important tomorrow. Her last two trips there had both been made for shopping and had been almost all-day events. For her next one, all she needed to do was pick up something very specific. Emer had been staying with her for quite some time now. Though, with how things had turned out lately, it was more like she was staying with him now. Either way, they had been together for a while. He was still technically a slave and owned by Nai-Ran, even though that’s not at all like how they acted around each other. Hopefully that would be changing tomorrow, as she planned on retrieving his contract from the Capsule Corporation building there and finally freeing him from it. The young woman hadn’t yet told him about this yet though, as she wanted to make it sort of a surprise.
Nai-Ran would have been lying to say that she wasn’t at least a little worried about setting him free. There was a lot of anger bottled up inside of that battered body of his. There was no telling what he might go out and do once he was completely free. Even though he was technically bound to Nai-Ran through his contract for the time being, that hadn’t stopped him from taking off on his own before. There was a chance that nothing at all would be changing with this, even though that somehow seemed slight at best. Well, whatever the Kagami man’s freedom might bring, whether it be good or bad, the Ryashi wouldn’t be changing her mind on this.
That was something to be saved for tomorrow though. The day had barely entered the afternoon hours, and Nai-Ran sat at the base of Mt. Paozu, staring up at the impressive looking natural structure. Aside from her usual fitted attire, she had donned her weighted bolero and bracers before she had left. Draped around her shoulders was a simple white cloak that she had purchased during her last shopping trip. It was the first time that she had gotten to wear it. The garment was supposedly used to keep people warm during their travels to the Earth’s colder regions. Nai-Ran was going to be needing it today.
For a long time, the off-worlder had wondered what the Earth looked like from the top of the mountain that she had always gazed at from a distance. She had travelled a little ways up it a couple of times before for various reasons. The view had always been spectacular, even though she had never gotten very far. Nai-Ran wanted to see if she could reach the top today. What would the world look like from its peak? It had gotten awfully chilly last time she had been on that mountain. Hopefully the heavy, wool garment that she now had wrapped around her would keep the warmth in. How cold could it possibly get up there?
While she may have been shooting for the peak, she had every intention of stopping if she felt like she was starting to strain herself. The young woman may have felt fine, but today was supposed to test that out to make sure. The last thing she wanted to do was push herself too far before her body was ready for it and take even longer to get to Satan City. Surely that wouldn’t be the case here though. With a confident smile plastered upon her face, she began her climb up the mountain trail.

As much as he kept telling himself that he hadn't been following Nai. Emer couldn't convince himself he was worried for the girl. The last few times she has gone out by herself, or just out in general the girl has come back wounded and damaged. This last time had proven to be pretty fatal, and that was the last straw for Emer. He had been living with the girl for quiet some time, and it has come to his attention that her gentle nature had made her a nice target for those that had been looking for a quick fight, or a quick money. As this last time it had happened after she had been shopping. And that only meant one thing, the person that did this to her, must of thought she had a nice amount of money on her. Emer's eyes looked down towards the girl, as he simply sat in the tree branches above her. The wind was making enough noise in the leaves to hide his presences when moving. It had been a good tactic so far for him...
He had his power level suppressed as low as he could, using his weighted cloak to push it down even further than what he could normally. He was giving off barely anything, if he did it was barely comparable to what he was normally. He was some what near that of a small animals power level, that or a normal human. Though continuing to suppress himself while wearing the weights made his body feel like a soaked log. As it was heavy and he was hardly able to move without keeping his strength down. Alith seemed to slightly ping in his head as Nai began to move once more. He had followed her so far to the tip of the mountain, but he also thought about why she had chosen this place out of any. The girl was vulnerable to the cold, and it was already getting close to night. If she continued at this pace, she'd be stuck up here in the frigid night air. Though it seemed as if that hadn't mattered to the young woman. Emer thought that she had to have something going on within her... Maybe he had done something that she needed time away from?
Alith pinged him once more when she noticed the wind stopped blowing. Emer came to a halt within the tree's, his rustling dying down as the wind did. Alith began to talk to him. 'This feels odd honestly... It almost feels like we are hunting our own prey... I mean when you think about it, she is half snake. And back on planet Aridot, the snake there where prized finds, as we could make them into all kinds of things. Pie's stews and other things.' Emer knew that Alith had been jealous of Nai, but to think of such things made him a little sick to his stomach. Yes back on Aridot snake meat had been a prized thing. It was one of the few meat like objects he could eat. But he had kept that a secret from Nai... Cause well, it would be awkward to tell her, that he ate things like her... Well not like her as she had been half human as well... And that would just make it all the more awkward to talk about it. Shaking his head slightly he noticed the leaves rustling once more.
Moving on ahead, he stayed behind her, though with all that clothing the girl had on, her sense of hearing probably wouldn't be as good as it was normally. As the body was focusing on keeping itself warm, cutting off on other things in the process. Not to mention he noticed her leaving a trail deeper than normal, meaning that she must of had some weights on. It was truly interesting that the girl would be wearing something similar to him at this time. Though he couldn't disagree that it was a bad idea, she was going to get stronger like him... Though he had to acknowledge that she wasn't a fighter like him. And the fact that she felt she needed to get stronger, was probably due to him being unstable about his decisions, and the way he had been living his life thus far. Suddenly Alith pinged him once again as Nai came to a stop. It seemed she was just stopping at random intervals for no reason at all.
'God, this woman is more finicky than anyone I know. Even mother isn't as bad as this... It's like she's debating on where to go every fight minutes... I mean god, is she just sneaking out to meet someone, and making sure you're not following her? I mean maybe she does have a lover and is just playing with you after all Emer.' Emer just shook his head slightly as he responded to the girl, it seemed that she was beginning to annoy him. 'There's nothing between us, so it won't matter if she's looking for a potential friend, if you don't mind me using a kinder word than what you have used. I'm not here to make sure she's going and doing any funny business, I am making sure that she doesn't come back wounded like she did last time. I don't think it would be such a good idea, if she was to continue coming back like that each and every time that she went out.' Alith seemed to let out a small huff as she faded from his thoughts.
Suddenly Irith came forth in his mind, it had been a while since she has spoken, but he didn't forget she was still recovering her strength, so that was probably why she hasn't spoken. 'I do think it's nice though... you're no longer caring about yourself, instead you're thinking about another now. And to think she's had such an effect on a cold heart like yours. Though I still feel the rage still lingers within your soul. If that is not taken care of soon... You will lose yourself, and won't be able to live a life normally... Even if you don't consider her the one you want... Though I think so would be different, you're just denying it.' Emer let a small sigh escape his lips, as he noticed Nai began to move once more. What was she doing? He had no clue up to this point... But he'd follow for a bit longer, just to see what happens.

As Nai-Ran continued to slither along the trail that lead up the side of the mountain, she couldn’t shake the odd feeling that she was being watched. However, she had never found anything out of the ordinary the couple of times she stopped to examine her surroundings. Even when she paused to use her ki sense, the young woman couldn’t get anything more than the occasional wild animal that inhabited the large mountain. She hoped that her fight with Oni hadn’t made her paranoid. The physical damage that she had sustained from it had pretty much been completely healed by now, and she refused to let that continue to affect her.
The time passed her by slowly as she continued her stroll. The Ryashi had never climbed that high up Mt. Paozu before. In between her stops to check if she was being followed or not, she found herself occasionally pausing to gaze out at the world below. It felt like she could see the entirety of the Diablo Desert from there, yet she was still nowhere near the top!
The wind whipped at Nai-Ran’s pale pink hair, causing her to pull up the cloak’s hood until it framed her face snuggly. The wool garment was doing wonders to keep the chill from the wind at bay, but why was she still freezing?! Weren’t these things supposed to actually keep someone warm instead of merely blocking out the wind? It was made of nothing more than heavy cloth and a metal clasp, so it couldn’t have been any more complicated than just to drape it around her form like any other garment. Of course, there were several factors that the Ryashi hadn’t really taken into account when purchasing white cloak. While it had been tailored to fit a human who had a similar torso size to her, the young woman failed to realize that her tail was far longer than a human’s lower half, which trailed out behind her from underneath the cloak. Then there was the face that most of said tail was sliding against the cold ground. The scales and thick hide that covered her tail were made for physical protection, not insulation. Finally, to use a cloak to keep warm, one would have to be giving off a decent amount of body heat to begin with.
Nai-Ran couldn’t have been more than halfway up, but she was already beginning to tire. The good new was that her tail didn’t hurt or feel strained at all. However, she had started to shiver rather violently by then. The young woman had taken several short breaks to try to warm herself up from underneath the heavy garment. It didn’t seem to be doing her any good though. Why was this place so cold?! This had easily been the coldest she had ever been in her life. The serpentine lass didn’t want to give up on her attempt to reach the peak so soon, but it looked like she didn’t have much of a choice.
She let out a defeated sigh as she stared up at what was once her goal, which still looked so incredibly far away... There was just no helping it. Nai-Ran had told herself that she wasn’t going to push herself too far and intended to stick to that. At least it wasn’t her tail that was the issue though. That had been her main concern for today. With the decision made not to proceed any further, the young woman turned around and started to slither back in the direction she had come.
The Ryashi’s pace had slowed down considerably since she had first started her trek. Her eyelids were starting to droop, and she felt herself growing sluggish in both mind and body. How odd, she shouldn’t have been tired yet. Nai-Ran had even overslept a bit that morning. Had she not gotten as much rest as she thought she had? Perhaps all she needed was a quick nap to get herself back to full speed. Yes, that was it. A nice little campfire to warm herself up with and then a quick snooze would solve the problem. She might even have been feeling well enough to continue up the mountain by the time she woke up.
Nai-Ran slithered over to a nearby tree, though one that wouldn’t be anywhere near the still-hidden Emer’s location. Her eyelids still feeling weighted as she pushed herself up the chilled bark with her tail to snap off a couple of branches before returning herself back down. The branches were placed in a small pile on the ground before being ignited by a quick blast of crimson ki. Nai-Ran hunched over the tiny fire she had just created and opened her cloak a bit in hopes of absorbing its warmth. However, that also meant opening it to yet another gust of chill wind that swept through the area. Not only did it bite at the few bits of exposed skin beneath the heavy garment before she quickly wrapped it back tightly around herself, it was also strong enough to blow out the small fire she had just sparked.
The young woman stared at the slightly charred but now quite cold pile of branches that sat in front of her, her mind drawing a blank at what to do next. Of course, what was she thinking? Anyone could tell that it was far too windy to keep a fire going. So much for that idea... Nai-Ran held her head up high, even if weariness was evident on her face. She would be fine. While she still didn’t feel warm at all, she didn’t really feel cold anymore either. Her shivering had even stopped, which was good, right?
All she had to do was make it back down to the base of the mountain. This was a task easier said than done. Nai-Ran hadn’t made it very far down the mountain trail when she felt herself start to hunch over a bit as she moved. The Ryashi was starting to get dizzy, which was heavily reflected in her movements. And she was just sooo tired... Maybe the fire idea hadn’t worked out so well, but perhaps a nap was still in store. She didn’t feel like she needed to warm up to a more comfortable temperature to fall asleep right now anyway. In fact, it felt like she could just fall over and lose consciousness at any moment.
The young woman moved over to lean her back against the trunk of another tree that grew a couple of feet away from the trail. There was a tired smile on her face; her mind was filled with misplaced relief that she would be able to fall asleep right away, still under the impression that that would be what it took to make her feel better. Nai-Ran curled her tail tightly under her to squeeze as much of it as she could beneath the heavy cloak that was still draped around her. A slow exhale escaped her, though it didn’t feel like her body was relaxing at all. It didn’t matter. The young woman stared blankly out in front of her at the now empty path and gradually allowed her eyes to drift shut...

Emer sat there for a bit within the tree's watching the young woman. It seemed that she had been stopping more and more frequently. The cold wind seemed to be affecting her more than naught. A small sigh seemed to escape the Kagami as he looked down at her. It was strange seeing her in the white wool cloak. He knew she must of thought that thing was going to protect her, but she didn't take into consideration, that she would actually need to provide the heat it needed to keep warm. Not to mention, she was having her lkower half completely exposed to the elements. Alith seemed to be laughing inside of his head at the fact the girl was having a hard time getting up the mountain. Though Emer showed a small admiration for the girl. She had made it pretty high so far. He figured that it would take her about six more hours just to reach half way to the mountains top at this rate. Suddenly Irith was pinging his head slightly as he was watching Nai-Ran.
'She must have nerves of steel. I mean its not everyday a amphibian will continue a journey up towards a source of cold. Most would be avoiding it. Because as you know, when they get too cold, their muscle begin to shut down. And it will get harder for them to move. Some times forcing them into hibernation, and when in extreme cold can cause death to some of them.' Emer nodded slightly looking down at the girl. She had begun moving once more as he watched her. It was true that she had the lower half of a snake. But he believed she would be warm blooded, as she possessed the upper half of a woman. But so far he had seen a different result. She really was just like a snake, and had been affected by the cold like most do. Shaking his head slightly he spoke back to Irith. 'I don't think she has the nerves, I think it's her curiosity more than anything. If I remember something she had an odd thing for wanting to explore something. As she was constantly wandering off... Though last time she did, it was to the city and she had come back a bit banged up.'
'Well, I don't know what it is you see in her Emer. But she has made you gentler, and as the goddess of war, I find it a tad bit disturbing. But it seems at the same time... I think i'm a bit happy for you. There hasn't been much in this world to calm your soul. So if she is able too, it will allow Mother and I to rest nicely. Though I do like an occasional fight myself. So you don't need to get too soft around her.' Alith was finally letting out her own two cents to him. A small smile seemed to appear on his face as he nodded slightly. He didn't plan to give up on his plan. But the fact that he was feeling calmer, and more relaxed around Nai, had gone to show that maybe he could take it peacefully after all. He had meet a few others within her presences, and it had been a nice encounter. Though he knew the two that he had meet, would be soon to be enemies, when he started to head towards the saiyan's home planet. Regardless of all the fondness he felt towards the people here on earth, his own race was valued at a much higher stake. As he needed to free them.
Suddenly Nai seemed to come to a complete stop as she looked up towards the top of the mountain. It seemed that the girl had finally given up in her pusuit of making it to the top. When a small sigh seemed to come from her. The shivering on her body a clear indicator that she was cold now. Emer froze in the tree, when she came close to where he was to pick up what seemed to be twigs and branches. Slightly confused on what she was trying to do with the wind blowing this way. Suddenly he saw her sitting down and creating a small fire with her ki. A small laugh nearly escaped him as he watched. Anyone knew that the fire would be put out instantly by the wind. And she had tried to start something here in the middle of a mountain. Without putting up proper wind blockage. Though it seemed that the woman had indeed managed to start the flames, only for them to wither out in front of her very eyes. A look of defeat seemed to cross Nai's face as she looked at the fire in front of her.
He noticed that Nai began to draw closer and closer into herself. A clear sign that she was giving up... Alith sent a small alert to Emer as he was watching. "Hey, I think she's going to try and hibernate. Her body must be getting cold enough, that it no longer knows the difference between cold and warmth." Emer sat there for a moment, watching as Nai began to sleep. Turning his head slightly, Emer pondered for a moment talking to the two in his head. 'You know, as attached as I am to her, wouldn't it be better for me to leave her here? I mean if she does manage to survive she can come back to the cave. But should she pass away, it would mean I'd have my freedom to myself. I could go get my contract from the corporation. And have my life to myself.' The two in his head seemed to be quiet for a moment. As they could tell that Emer was thinking logically. But he was distressed about the idea. On one side it was his freedom. But on the other it was the life of the only person to show him kindness. And one he considered a friend.
A small sigh escaped the Kagami's lips as he dropped down from the tree. 'No matter how much my freedom means to me. She's done nothing but be kind to me, and it has been shown to others that she does indeed care for me. But to just leave her here, to a slow painful death wouldn't be a way to return the favors she has done for me.' Alith and Irith seemed to both giggle inside his head as they nodded in agreement. Emer approached the girl as it seemed she was dead asleep. Quiet literally her eyes where closed and she had a small smile on her face as if she was in a peaceful dream. "Silly girl... You should of known coming up here would of been bad for you... You can't handle the cold very well." His voice was a bit softer than normal as he looked at her sleeping. Looking down as her tail had been curled around underneath her. He didn't quiet understand how she found that comfortable. Then again he didn't possess a tail.
Reaching down with his hand, he grabbed the end of her tail. It had been poking out slightly from underneath her. It was cold as ice, but to him that was no surprise, as he was constantly warm. Thinking for a second, without proper heat she was most likely going to perish up on this mountain. And without being able to start a fire with this wind, it might as well be dang near impossible. Suddenly a thought came to his mind, snakes naturally wrap around something warm when they're freezing cold. Shaking his head slightly, the idea was strange, but it just might work. Reaching up Emer undid his cloak letting it fall to the ground with a decent thud. He worked a small bit of Nai's tail away from her body, and placed a small portion of it around his torso as he sat beside her. Giving it a few minutes, it was just as he predicted. Her tail seemed to wrap around him almost instinctively. His burning body was suddenly cooled by the touch of ice. A small chattering of his teeth was all the could be seen of how cold the girl had been.
Turning slightly within her grips, he made sure that her chest would be placed against his back when she finished wrapping around him. She was a bit heavy, but that was due to layers of muscles the woman had possessed for moving around all the time. Using a hand to stabilize himself against the tree, Emer rose to his feet. Once he stood to his full height he looked down at his cloak. That would be a hard thing to grab if he was to bend forward. He'd risk being stuck on the ground with the woman. And he wouldn't be able to get back up. Using a foot, he placed it right under the collar of the small cloak. Before kicking it up towards his free hand. Catching it slightly the man looked back over his shoulder as he looked at the woman's head resting on his shoulder. Placing the cloaks neck strap around him, he had it cloak down over both of them. This would keep the wind off of the both of them. "Next time... just be a bit more careful Nai. If I hadn't been watching over you, this might have been a different ending. And not a pleasant one."
Looking around for a moment, Emer spotted an opening in the side of the cliffs. 'That will do for now... I just need to get us out of the wind. She's like an ice cube dear goddess. If I wasn't as warm as a saiyan, I think I would naturally freeze to death just from her touch right now. But I guess she'll regain consciousness soon... Because she'll be warming up rather quickly. At least once I get to that cave....' Shaking his head slightly, emer began to head towards the cave. Not only did he have his own weights on him, but he had the weights that Nai had begun wearing not to long ago... As for her weight that was lighter than anything else he was currently carrying. 'Next time... lets do this without all the weights...' He said without thinking. It suddenly came clear that he was talking about carrying her around, or simply walking together. 'Yeah... I've become soft.' It took Emer about ten minutes with all the extra weight to make it to the small cave on the cliff side he had spotted earlier.
Upon entering, the howling wind could be heard outside, and soon snow began to follow. Staring blankly out at the snow. A small sigh escaped his lips. Sitting down on the rocky floor, he could feel a bit of the rocks digging into him. He didn't lean against the wall, in fear that he would cause Nai a small bit of pain against the rugged terrain. "Now... we just wait for this princess to wake up." He said referring to how she acted. She really did have a nobility about her. "Oh man... This will probably be hard to explain when she finally does awaken..." He hadn't thought about her personality, until he had already carried her to the cave and out of the wind.

Nai-Ran’s lower half was curled tightly enough beneath her to just barely cover it all with her heavy cloak as she sat on the ground with her back up against the tree. Not having to worry about the biting wind was nice, but she couldn’t actually tell anymore if it was helping further or not. Not that it mattered... As she had suspected, the young woman had been able to fall asleep almost immediately after her eyes had closed. The cold didn’t really concern her anymore.
The nearly frozen serpentine lass could feel her surroundings slipping away from her. She was drifting somewhere far away in an endless void of white. Her body felt completely weightless. Normally when she couldn’t feel her scales against firm ground, it would have caused her to start panicking. The sensation of not being connected to the ground always made her feel horribly unstable. Perhaps that’s why she had shown no interest in learning to fly despite it being a commonly seen technique. That wasn’t the case at all here though. Wherever she was, she felt oddly at ease.
The Ryashi didn’t stay there for too long before she was dragged elsewhere. The next thing she knew, she was back in the Diablo Desert, sprawled out belly-down on the napping rock she had found when first came to Earth. Was she dreaming? There was no house, no cave, and no other beings anywhere in sight. The only things that existed there alongside herself was just the large rock beneath her skin and a sea of golden sand that seemed to stretch on infinitely in all directions. She couldn’t even really feel the sun on her back. Even so, the rock itself was so warm... It was as if the frigid mountain she had been attempting to climb was on an entirely different plane of existence.
For the longest time Nai-Ran merely sat there motionless, just enjoying the warmth beneath her. The off-worlder didn’t even have any clear thoughts running through her head. The contents of her mind were little more than a mash of colors and fuzzy pictures that couldn’t be deciphered into anything coherent. All the young woman could focus on was the heated stone beneath her skin. Something felt a little off about it though. The rock she had often napped on had been large and flat. While her mind was slowly but surely becoming more active, Nai-Ran realized that the one she was on top of was somewhat cylindrical in shape. Not only that, but she wasn’t so much sprawled on top of it like she had first thought. Instead, the sand beneath it had completely disappeared and her tail was actually coiled around the stone. It didn’t even really feel like all that much of a rock anymore. In fact, it kind of felt like she was coiled around... a person?
Back in the world outside of her subconscious, Nai-Ran began to stir as her eyes gradually drifted open. She was feeling incredibly groggy; it was going to take a few moments to register what was going on. There was some kind of thick blanket placed over her, which she instinctively lifted just enough to see where she was. There was one thing she was certain of; this wasn’t where she had fallen asleep. Her memory about what had happened before she fell asleep was a bit patchy, but Nai-Ran knew for a fact that she hadn’t found her way to a cave. The young woman’s ears were greeted with the sounds of the howling wind that was carrying on outside of the cave. Her gaze absentmindedly fell upon the cave entrance to see what looked like down feathers falling gracefully from the sky and beginning to blanket the ground outside. What in the world was going on out there? As soon as she could convince her body to pry itself away from whatever source of warmth it was currently clinging to, she would go and investigate.
Wait... What source of warmth? Nai-Ran blinked a couple of times as the wheels in her head began to turn, mind still addled from sleep. She had woken up between some kind of blanket and something that wasn’t just incredibly warm, but was also moving as if it were breathing. When she had lifted the blanket to see where she was, just enough light had filtered in for her to make out a couple more details. The warm surface was almost completely covered in scar tissue, and appeared to have an arm attached to its left side, while nothing more than a stub was on the right. Something clicked in her head as her mind put the pieces together, her face instantly turning a shade of deep red that really wasn’t all that unusual for the serpentine lass anymore. One thing was for sure; she was definitely wide awake now.
”E-Emer?!” the young woman squeaked, panic evident in her voice. There was no doubt about it. The warmth she had been feeling was coming from none other than the Kagami she’d been staying with. What was he doing there?! While she considered him a dear friend to her, to wake up entwined with someone like that... It was kind of an intimate thing for her race, and definitely not a position for a proper young woman to find herself in! Nai-Ran clumsily untangled her tail from around him and started to slither out from underneath the cloak that covered the both of them. However, she instinctively scooted herself right back up against him the moment she felt the cold air outside of the heavy garment.
No! Cold or not, she was a lady and needed to act as such! Taking a deep breath and trying her best to steel herself for the sharp drop in temperature, Nai-Ran slithered herself out completely from under the cloak this time and turned to face the man who was sitting on the cave floor. She was still kind of warm since her own cloak was still draped over her shoulders had retained some of it. The Ryashi wasn’t sure how long that would last though. Her face was still rather red, and showed no signs of clearing up any time soon. Not after how she had woken up...
”Oh dear! I’m-I’m so sorry!” she hastily apologized while bowing her head low, though she wasn’t exactly sure what for. At this point, she was so flustered that her mind was practically tripping over itself trying to figure out what to do. Sure, she had run into more than her fair share of embarrassing situations before during her stay on Earth. None of them even held a candle to this, at least as far as Ryashi culture was concerned. ”I d-don’t know wh-wh-what I was thinking! I-I just fell asleep and... Ah, I’m-I’m sorry!” It was certainly a good thing that her father wasn’t there to witness such a thing. Oh the trouble she would have been in...

Emer had been sitting there for a while. It seemed that the snow outside was picking up, along with the wind. The howls generated from the entrance just seemed to never end. That was when he felt the woman that had been wrapped around him starting to move and stir. It seemed that her body was getting closer and closer to the heat of his body. His breathing became shallower to make sure he didn't disturb her so much. The deeper he breathed, the less his body moved. He could feel that Alith was somewhat jealous right now. As she had been the only one around Emer for a long time, and now there was a girl able to curl up next to him, in which hasn't been around him as long as she had. It was strange for emer to feel those emotions inside of him. But as it was, he could sense Irith laughing at her daughter. At least he was getting warmer, as her ice cold body seemed to warm up to his own temperature. He noticed that he had stopped shaking at some point, must of been when he was deep within his thoughts.
'It seems, that she is slowly waking up at the moment. Though I think, it'll be a little comedic when she does... Knowing her she's gonna be stumbling over herself. As we all know, that she is a proper girl, one in which believes that things should be that way. Or what not.' Irith started laughing at Emer as he finished his statement before she began to reply to him. 'Well, I guess it's a good trait for her. Who wouldn't like a proper lady for themselves. At least she'll be able to earn someone's heart when she decides to go down that route.' Emer just shook his head slightly when he felt the his shoulders get lighter, as Nai's head began to lift up slightly as he sat there. It seemed she was still looking around a little bit, he bet she felt groggy, and wasn't completely aware of her situation yet. But she would soon come to realize that the current predicament would not be fun. "Good afternoon girl... I think you should of been a bit more careful coming up here on a mountain." His voice still probably distant to her for a moment as she finally noticed what she was doing.
Her voice and face seemed to match each other in both surprise, and embarrassment as she finally clicked on what was happening. He felt her trying to pry away at first, which had failed miserably as she instantly clenched right back up against him. His cloak was sitting on her shoulders, and when she pulled away it went with her. Emer sat there looking out towards the cave as she continue to apologize. "You shouldn't say sorry to much, if it wasn't for the fact I was following you today. Then I suppose you'd be asleep for a lot longer than you intended to be out there." The tall Kagami stood up slightly stretching his body. It had been a few hours since she had fallen asleep. His body was a bit stiff from holding a single position for so long. "Keep the cloak for now, you'll need it to stay warm for the time being." Emer turned towards the young girl and let a small smile appear on his face. "Though, I'll let ya stay here for a bit."
His arm went down towards his pocket and pulled out his cigarette before he reached up with his finger lighting the tend of it. His eyes peered out towards the snow. "I do know, that you believe a male and female shouldn't share the same sleeping area. As for tonight, you'll be stuck in here. The snow outside is too thick for you to traverse." He said looking at it build up outside quicker than anything he had witnessed. What was with these earthern mountains? One night they'll be clear and you can see every blade of grass, and then see the tree's leaves as if they had never been touched. And then the next thing you know, they'll be covered in the fine white powder that was called snow. Finally letting a small sigh escape his lips, Emer took the cigarette out of his mouth, and flicked it out into the snow, where it was instantly quenched.
"So, this cave is yours for the night. Use my cloak to cover your lower half. That way it'll retain some warmth. Otherwise it's useless to buy that fur covered thing you're using now. You need to create some heat in order for it to be useful. At least with my cloak, it'll trap whatever heat you have right now in it for a few hours. Meaning you'll make it through the storm and can get back home." The tall Kagami started to walk towards the cave entrance and simply stepped out into the snow as it pelted against him. "Though, don't think I'm just gonna leave you here like that... I'll be back." With that he seemed to just walk away in the snow. The further he got the harder he was to see. Emer wouldn't deny that it was cold outside, in fact he would say that he's never been this cold before. But he always had his cloak with him when he left in freezing weather. 'What exactly was I thinking leaving without my cloak? God I'm freezing out here, and I've never said that.' Irith seemed to enjoy his pain as she giggled like a maniac inside of his head.
Where was he headed? Well to get Nai some firewood. She was going to be coped up in that cave for the rest of the night, and she'd need some warmth of her own in there. At least Emer had military discipline, otherwise he wouldn't be out here looking for wood. Stumbling past some tree's earlier where Nai had created her fire, there seemed to be enough twigs and leaves around to create a small fire. Bending down Emer used his hand to pick up the twigs and place them into his mouth, he figured the more he took back to the cave, the longer she could keep the fire going. After grabbing as much leaves and sticks that he could handle, Emer headed back towards the cave. It was hard to spot it out in the distance, but with the advanced Ki sense he had, Emer had been able to find the small trail left by Nai and trace it back as it grew stronger.
Soon the young Kagami male walked back through the entrance of the cave, he saw that Nai was still hidden deep within away from the entrance. As most knew, that the back of the cave stayed the warmest. Upon approaching her, he spit the sticks out and sat the leaves and sticks down in front of her. The white snow falling from his hair and shoulder as he sat down against a wall. "You know... It's actually pretty cold out there for the time being." He said as he was slowly regaining his warmth. He remembered his mother saying that it was possible to catch a cold, but it was very rare for a Kagami, but he remembered how the saiyans got sick all the time when they had been left out in the cold. Soon the male could feel his shivering stop as he looked back out towards the snow.
"As it is, when the snow stops, I'll be waiting at the house. The leaves and sticks will need to dry for a little bit, once they're done drying I'll leave you here for the night. I know that you're capable of protecting yourself, but try not to get into anymore fights. As the last time you did, if it wasn't for your friend finding you, than you'd of been either dead by now, or left wounded beyond repair." He said looking over at her reminding her about the last time she had left out alone. "Then again, I shouldn't worry about what you do since you're a full grown woman. But I figure it's better safe than sorry." Emer's voice seemed to be rather soft right now. As he was finally just relaxing and talking to a friend.

”If anything, th-that should j-just be more of a reason to ap-ap-apologize!” Nai-Ran insisted. Today wasn’t supposed to go like that at all. All she wanted to do was make sure she had been fit to travel long distances again, and possibly see a breath-taking view of the world around her from a high point. She had just ended up making another mistake though. The young woman wasn’t really sure why he Emer had been following her. It probably had something to do with the disaster that was her last trip to Satan City. Still, she was glad that he had with how this little adventure of hers had turned out. Nai-Ran was starting to remember what had been happening to her right before she had fallen asleep more clearly, and it was enough to send another shiver down her spine.
Apparently she had been so flustered thanks to how she woke up, she didn’t even realize that she had pulled off Emer’s cloak until he said something about it. Sure enough, the young woman looked down to see his dark cloak covering her own. ”Oh! I’m-I’m sorry! I didn’t r-realize that I pulled it off of-of you.” Her mind was telling her to try to return it to him, but he had insisted that she hang onto it for the moment. It sounded like a selfish thing to do; how was he going to stay warm? He was right though. Her own cloak hadn’t been doing her too much good on its own. Maybe it would be for the best to warm herself up a bit more before trying to give it back. She didn’t want to cause any more problems than she already had.
Emer was puffing on another one of those cigarettes of his as he continued to speak. They kind of looked like miniature incense sticks, but she wasn’t fond of the fragrance they produced. Still, he had never complained about any of her incense. Once finished with it, he flicked it into the blanket of white outside and began to move towards the mouth of the cave. Wait, he was leaving? He said he would be back, but she still had his cloak! So what if she would have been warmer with both? It was far colder out there than it was in the cave. ”H-Hey, at least take your cloak w-with you! I’m n-not the only one that n-needs to stay warm!” It was too late though, as he was already gone.
Nai-Ran cautiously slithered over to the cave’s entrance. Her friend had completely disappeared behind the wall of white. Emer had called it ‘snow’. The footprints he had left in it were slowly being filled up as more fell from the sky. The serpentine lass had never seen anything like it before. There was certainly none to be found on Appodorra. It looked incredibly soft with how it floated to the ground. Nai-Ran reached out to touch it, but immediately drew her hand back into the warmth of the cloak as soon as her skin made contact with it. Not only was it even colder than the stone beneath her scales, it felt wet to the touch. Earth was truly full of strange things. While it was kind of pretty to look at, she didn’t really want any more to do with this ‘snow’ stuff.
Was it really okay for Emer to be walking around outside in these conditions, especially without his cloak? The Kagami may not have been nearly as sensitive to it as she was, but it was still freezing out. Nai-Ran wanted to follow him and try to give it back, but she wasn’t that air headed. She knew that if she tried, she would probably just end up passing out again. That would just serve to cause even more problems. The serpentine lass had to practice what she preached, so she would respect her body’s limits. Like it or not, she was stuck there for the time being.
Nai-Ran slithered to the back of cave and curled up with both of the heavy garments that were draped around her form. She wanted to stay as far from the mouth of the cave as she could since that’s where the cold air was coming from. The Ryashi wasn’t feeling too happy with herself at the moment. She was making people worry about her again, and for good reason too. She knew that her kind weren’t exactly built for the cold. She just didn’t realize the drop in temperature would be so intense here, nor that her reaction to it was going to be nearly as bad as it was. Was she really cut out for the path that her father had determined for her? The young woman had already slipped up far too many times since coming to Earth, and it hadn’t even been her first year on the planet. She definitely wasn’t meeting her father’s expectations of her. Then again, the young woman knew that much long before she had ever left home. She always seemed to be disappointing him in some way or another...
Somehow, even if her father had been able to see everything that had gone on during her Ritual of Discovery, she got the feeling that he would be even more upset with what was going on in her mind at that moment. Alone and huddled under both cloaks at the very back of the cave, her mind had cleared considerably since she had first woken up. Now that she actually thought about it, it didn’t feel all that wrong waking up like that. In fact, it felt kind of nice. What did that say about her? Perhaps it was just the cold getting to her, but she still thought that way even though she was warm for the moment.
Nai-Ran was jostled from her thoughts and conflicting emotions when a small pile of leaves and twigs was placed in front of her. She looked up just in time to see Emer sit down next to her, the last of the snow that had collected upon him while he was out being shaken away from the movement. ”Of course it’s cold out there. You need to take your cloak with you next time. I know you want to keep me warm, but I would have been alright for a while. My own cloak is still pretty warm.” Her face was still red, but her stuttering had subsided for the moment. The serpentine lass shifted around underneath both garments so that her tail was almost completely covered by only hers. She then attempted to return Emer’s back to him. ”Please wear it for at least a little while, okay? You should try to stay warm too.”
Nai-Ran let out a sigh as the outcome of her fight with Oni was brought up, but quickly played it off with a weary smile. ”No, I appreciate your concern. I do seem to be finding an awful lot of trouble lately, don’t I?” Emer had also explained his plan to leave once she could get a fire going out of the material he had brought. She was grateful that he had brought some flammable materials back with him, but did he really intend to go back out there once they could be ignited? ”I wouldn’t wish the cold out there upon anyone. Even if you were to take your cloak with you, the conditions seem awfully harsh out there.” It was true that she had always been taught that there were certain social rules for adult men and women, and that not sharing the same sleeping space was one of them. That was no reason to send him back out into the cold again though. The cave wasn’t too cramped, and it’s not like either of them would be undressing in these conditions. It was time to do yet another thing her father would be frowning upon her for. ”Thank you for respecting my values like that, but I believe there are certain circumstances where it’s necessary for such rules to be disregarded to some extent. It might be for the best that we both stay here until that storm dies down.”

Emer sat there for a moment looking over at Nai. As she seemed to be more concerned about him. A small smile appeared on his face, it seemed that she never changed from their first meeting. A small shake of his head as he leaned back against the wall a bit. "You should keep the cloak for now, it'll be better for you to stay warmer. Cause if you don't keep a hold of that thing, you might find yourself waking up how we just were." He said mentioning towards his body, of her being wrapped around it as if it was some source of heat for her. Though to be honest he didn't mind it in the slightest about them being that close. In fact he had never felt that warm before, with a person copying his own body heat. It had made for a nearly comfortable Cloak to wrap around his body.
As he looked back at the snake girl, he was surprised to hear her talk about causing a lot of trouble lately. A small smile appeared on the Kagami's face as he looked over at Nai. "Tell you what, yes you do get into a lot of trouble lately, but I want to say that it's been fun in a way. Though there has been a lot of trouble caused by it, I don't thik i've smiled this much since I've come to earth. Hell even before that I haven't smiled as much as I do now. I think it's cause when I was back in the army, no one gave a shit about what happened to me. And yet, since you've first meet me, you've shown me nothing but kindness... I think that goes to show that maybe not everyone is out there to destroy me. Then again, you've also been in trouble cause of me. How many times have you gotten in trouble with me around? The three saiyans, and then the fact I nearly attacked you at that time too." He was talking a lot right now, but it was just something he needed to get off his chest at the moment.
Soon though the girl began talking about the storm outside, sure it was bad out there, but the part she was saying made him surprised. As she spoke about the conditions required for her rules and what she has been taught to be broken. A small laugh escaped Emer as he sat there. "Well, your going to be embarrassed then, cause as it is... You'll probably wake up as we where just when you had fallen asleep. Even with it as it is, you'll need to stay warm, and the fire won't last long. Are you okay being wrapped around someone that close?" He said as he looked towards her. He knew that the fire wouldn't last all night, and there'll be that period of where she'd be cold for a while. And she'd need a source of heat. Or she could face another way in which she passed away due to hypothermia. Yawning slightly the man did something he normally didn't. His head fell over onto Nai's shoulder.
"I hope you don't mind... But I'm slightly tired... It was a long trip up here." He said as he closed his eyes. He could feel Alith lighting like a fuse as she went off in his head. 'Hey you, you, get your head off her shoulder! Hey damnit listen to me...' She seemed to die off as Irith was laughing at her. 'M...Mother do something your host is also getting close to someone.' Irith sat there for a moment it felt as if she was smiling towards Alith, 'I'm sorry, but it's not our problem on what he prefers to go with. As it is, he's already asleep. We're disturbing that for him as he does. But maybe, you can talk to Nai now, if you wish too. I would be careful though, do note that Emer has taken a liking to her. And he feels comfortable around this woman. So don't interfere to much.' Emer's thoughts a little sluggish as he was listening to them as he began to think.
'Don't do anything. If you two try anything, I'll make sure to kill you both. If you even wake me or stir my body by taking control, I'll make sure to put you two in so much pain, that you won't know what the hell is happening to you.' The two girls within his body began to laugh slightly. 'Aww Emmy, why are you so rude to me and Irith? We've been here with you forever, and here you are ignoring our feelings, by getting all cuddly with this girl.' Emer let a small scoff escape him, as he drifted off into sleep as the two girls took an appearance in his dream. As he stood there looking down at them. 'I don't care what you say, you two are just here trying to get my body for yourselves. We all know what happens when a Kagami becomes unable to hold his own existence. You two manage to take their body over. Giving you a new life'
The two girls stood there smiling at him. Irith's grin was wide and almost sickening as she nodded her head. 'You haven't forgotten that at least. When there's no need for your soul to be here anymore. And you've gotten the requirements, your body belongs to us. And that's why we'd appreciate you not being so close to her. But we can't interfere from here. As it's still your body, but as you keep calling on us, you'll eventually become us.' But suddenly a dark aura began to stir from Emer as he looked at them in his dream. Outside, Nai could see the sweat falling from Emer's face as he looked a bit displeased. 'That's why you two will cease to exist within me when I get strong enough without you.' Emer's voice was cold towards them as the two girls smiles faltered. They knew about the path of destruction the boy was currently following. There's something about the path of destruction that most didn't know about.
The Kagami wasn't really someone that was enraged during the path of destruction, but it was the fact they had forsaken their goddesses, meaning that they had stopped praying to their spirits, and let them fade away within their power. Destruction wasn't really the fact of them being dangerous, it was disowning their chance to go to heaven. At least in their religion the person wouldn't go to heaven, but to the place in which they called Dei'rak. Or Hell in the way humans spoke of it. But in Dei'rak the person was forever reliving their life. There was no ending for them it was the ultimate suffering one could face. Though no one could prove that this was true after all, as no one has ever come back from that place, and the only ones that could even remotely be related to it was these they called goddesses. But to emer they may as well be demons trying to gain control of someones body.
Suddenly Emer opened his eyes quickly as he felt something within him stir. He could feel Irith and Alith, beginning to get restless with him. They could cause him to go to his darker self, but for some reason, they had no control over him as he awoke. His strength to suppress them had grown even stronger as he looked down at his hands. 'I told you two, together you no longer have control over me... It's my choice to keep you within my body. Do not try to test me or you will indeed cease to exist.' Nai could see the concentration on Emer's face as it seemed that he forced himself awake. "These two, are not as friendly as they let on." Emer's voice stated about the two girls within his head. It was truth though. "Mimikku believes in a co existence with her spirit. But when she fades to exist all that will be left is Lilith."

Emer was insistent that she keep the cloak for the time being, even going so far as to suggest that the two of them would entwined again if she didn’t keep it wrapped around her. Nai-Ran hesitated for a moment. The young woman wouldn’t know what to do with herself if it had happened to her again, despite how comfortable she had found it at the time. Still, she was positive that she would be okay if it was handed over for a little while. She didn’t feel at all like she had before she had first fallen asleep out there. The cave was plenty chilly, but she was still alert and of a clear mind.
”You’re the one that just went out in that harsh weather again. My own cloak’s still got some warmth to it, so I’ll be fine for a little while without yours,” the serpentine lass argued. Would that be enough to keep him from being so stubborn about it though? Maybe if she could come up with some kind of excuse... ”Actually, it might even help in the long run if you were to take it. Your body generates a lot more heat than mine does. If you took back your cloak for a little while, it would be even warmer when you were done with it,” she pointed out. Perhaps a logical approach to it rather than her just showing concern for his well being would get through to him better.
”I’m glad at least some benefit has come from it then,” Nai-Ran said with an uneasy laugh, referring to the trouble she had been getting into lately. She brushed it away easily enough with her words, but she couldn’t help but feel she still had a lot of shaping up to do if she was to become the type of person worthy of a leadership position. Though, her expression softened at the mention of others out there that wished Emer no ill will. ”You’re correct, there are plenty of people out there that I’m sure would accept you as a friend in a heartbeat. I know you feel as if the rest of the universe has looked at you coldly for most of your past, but you were in a bad situation. You’re no longer surrounded by those who would so readily look down upon you,” she explained with closed eyes. That was a good sign. Surely he would see that he had potential allies all around him if he were to just drop his guard a little bit. That would be easier said than done given his past, but she felt that there may have still been hope for that somewhere down the line.
”There was no ‘nearly’ about it. But, at the same time, there was no damage done either. We may have had to relocate to a new cave for a little while, but that’s hardly a need for a fuss. You weren’t responsible for that part anyhow.” Nai-Ran’s words were accented with a chuckle, but unlike before it was a genuine one. It was obvious that she wasn’t too broken up about it, even if she had been scared that day. At least there hadn’t been any more incidents like it since then.
The Ryashi looked down for a moment at her covered scales, her cheeks still tinged with red. Once again, Emer brought up the possibility that she would wake up curled around him again. The image of her father in her mind was silently demanding that she send him back out into the snow to wait for her back at his house. As difficult as it was to simply ignore what she knew her father would have wished of her, she shook her head and willed that image away. Nai-Ran had never seen herself as a disobedient daughter, but what her father didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. She hoped, anyway... ”As I said, certain situations require certain rules to be bent. A little embarrassment is no reason to risk the wellbeing of another. Besides, there’s no guarantee that things will end up like that.”
While still debating in her head whether her decision had been the correct one, she heard a yawn escape Emer. Before she knew it, the tall man’s head was resting on her shoulder and he had closed his eyes. ”Don’t worry about it. I’m the reason you’re up here to begin with,” she replied in a hushed voice. His face looked at peace. Nai-Ran couldn’t help but smile at the sight, even if he was awfully close to her. She would be fine as long as she didn’t think too hard about it. The young woman’s eyes were drawn to the mouth of the cave as the storm outside continued to carry on. At this rate, it didn’t look like it would ever calm down. It made even the worst sandstorms that she had experienced back home seem like nothing at all. They could do some serious damage to your eyes and skin if you weren’t prepared, but at least you didn’t have to worry about freezing to death in them.
The serpentine lass felt Emer twitch a bit as he continued to lean against her. She looked over to see that the expression on his face had lost its tranquility. His brow was furrowed, and he was starting to break out into a sweat. Was he having a bad dream? Careful not to shift around too much, Nai-Ran reached into the weighted bolero she was still wearing and retrieved a folded up handkerchief that had been tucked away in the inner pocket, right next to the small pouch of Senzu Beans she carried. Trying not to disturb the sleeping Kagami, she slowly started to dab away the sweat that was gathering on his face. Cold air against one’s skin was one thing, but if would feel even colder if the skin was damp.
As she continued to dab the handkerchief across his face with motions as light as she could manage, she quickly drew her hand back as she saw his eyes open. ”Sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you. I-” the Ryashi hastily apologized, but quickly realized that he wasn’t even really looking at her. Had she not been the one to wake him after all? His face looked awfully intense. Maybe it had been a nightmare that stirred him from his sleep, if he had been having one in the first place. The facial expression he had been wearing before he had woken up seemed to hint at it.
The words that came out of Emer’s mouth made Nai-Ran’s eyes widen. What was he talking about? The spirits that inhabited his body alongside him always seemed to kind and caring when they talked to her, or at least Irith had. He mentioned that Mimikku would eventually fade away, leaving only Lilith in her place. Did these goddesses carry some sort of ulterior motive? Was it not the host that they cared for, only the empty shell that would be left for them? But how would Mimikku or Emer fade away? ”What do you mean by fade into nonexistence? What’s going to happen to you?”

Emer sat there for a moment looking out towards the winter wonderland outside, As nai was starting to speak, it seemed that she started to talk about his concerns, but then it came to the fact that the woman was interrupted by the statement Emer had made about the goddesses, A small smile seemed to appear on his face as he leaned back. The two within him struggling now for even their thoughts to stay conscious within him. They had lost and knew it, even with how Emer was now, they wouldn't be able to control his body at any point soon. "What I mean... Is that when it happens that I given up on living, and I've thrown away any reason to continue to fight for my existance, I will stop existing. The only ones to remain will be Alith and Irith. As they'd over power my own soul. And then take my body for their own means. I'll slowly shape into looking like them as well. It won't be noticeable at first. I'll grow shorter, and then begin to morph into them." He said remembering how tall Irith was in the stories. She was actually short, surprisingly only at a four foot eleven in total.
The Kagami sat up slightly before he cleared his throat looking towards the entrance. "Either way, I have to think about this carefully from now on. I can't allow them control over my body for any period of time. Or I begin to forget about who I am. You've seen that already, when I've invoked the goddesses blessing, if I where to hold that form for to long, I would cease to exist myself." He said remembering the oath he always stated. "I need to find a way to get stronger myself... Without the need of these two. If I don't, then I'll probably end up nothing more than a walking corpse, with another person inside my head, that isn't me any longer. My memories are so jumbled up... I can't remember where I came from originally anymore. I can't even remember the face of my mother correctly. When I try to think about her, I'm flooded by thousand and thousands of different images. Of both the vessels of Irith and Alith. My memories are no longer my own."
His voice sounded distant as he sat there looking. For the first time, Nai could see the tall Kagami crying to himself. Even though he didn't let his voice show it. His own tears showed the sadness that had finally gotten to him. His emotions returning to him slowly as he grew stronger. The past becoming one, and his memories fading. It all seemed to be a cruel torment to him. "I can't even remember my baby sisters name... I use to so many years ago, I would write to her all the time. She was taken in by a royal family member before I left. I was introduced into the army... She was only four at the time, but she was old enough to serve tea, and be... used like any other kagami at the time." He said referring to that even at four years old, in Kagami years that meant she'd be about thirteen with humans life spans and such. "It was saddening to hear that, they normally only take one of us from a family. But a particular saiyan found her to be cute... And then forcefully took her from my family."
The tears on his face slowly reached the floor as he sat there. "It isn't fair anymore... I'm not even sure why I'm fighting any longer. I don't understand why I was brought into this world. Why am I made to suffer like this? Why does my family have to suffer as much as I have? It's not fair... I've tried all my life to be strong for them... But then they had to take another one from my family. They shouldn't of been able to... They've already had me, the rules even state one kagami from a family at a time. Until that Kagami is killed in action the others remain. The last mission I was sent on, was a suicide mission. Oniusk who I thought was my only friend at the time, even though he was the commander of my squad, sent me there. His mission was to eliminate me so that she could become available..." His voice seemed to trail off in his memories. He still couldn't remember her name, this was torture at it's finest. The goddesses own memories had began to replace his, who was he even? Did he exist just to suffer what he was going through right now?
"Oniusk had a perfect reputation, he never failed any of the missions he has been granted. He had never been defeated in battle. He was strong, determined and had the cold gaze of a man that could distinguish wrong from right I thought. Till that day I was let in on the secret, right before I shipped off towards that mission, I heard him talking to the secretary as his next mission was for him to kill me off. He failed that mission, and now he hunts me to correct it. So his personal military career remains unstained." The Male looked over at Nai. His face full of sadness, it was the first time she would see so much emotion on him. He looked hurt, tired, upset... And yet the most disturbing was he was faking to smile. No it couldn't be called faking, it was a smile of one that had lost everything in his life. One that showed that he hadn't been able to hold it back anymore. Maybe it was from him unlocking his emotions as he grew stronger, being able to fight and gain back his own existance from the two within him.
Emer's head went limp as he leaned it back agains the wall. His tears where seeming to stop finally. As he took a minute to think it over. "Even though he had failed, they gave me my freedom... But in exchange for my own freedom, they took my sisters... They found a way around the rules, by granting me the choice of freedom... She didn't have a choice in the matter, she was to young to protect herself. She was perfect, as I was broken... The way I looked they took it for granted. Saying that I would no longer be necessary, I have been pushed past my limits already. I continued to prove them wrong, I survived for three more years before they gave me my freedom. But, I knew the cost was the freedom of my babies sisters. I didn't hesitate to take the offer, as the reason I'm on earth... But I basically traded my life, for a half perfect one my sister had." His fist clenched tightly as he looked back out at the entrance again.
"I swear... I'll become strong enough to stop Onisuk, I'll become strong enough to free my people. Be it by destroying every last saiyan, or simply... simply... Granting them freedom through my own death..." He said reaching over to Nai. At first it looked as if he was going to grab her chest, but his hand reached into the cloak and pulled out a piece of paper. On it was his name displayed. The hand writing was that of a females. It was his little sister, the bottom even signed by Lil'sis. "On that paper, she tells me of where she lives. In the royal army's main station. She's been there for nearly five years. And it isn't so bad. She's never eaten as well as she has back when she lived with mother. She says that she enjoys it there and it isn't so bad. The men even come to visit her at night, saying that she is the best person to spend the night with." Emer's teeth clenched at that last part as he looked down at the note. "They disgust me so much... But I'm more disgusted in myself... As I've slowly become like them." A small sigh escaped the Kagami as he handed the note to Nai, for herself to read.
"I... I'm so disgusted that I've gained their blood lust to kill, but I've directed it at everything related to them... I've allowed them to corrupt me and break me in more ways than one. I can no longer tell who I really am. I claim to be a man of destruction... But right now I'm no more than a beaten puppy left to die on the side of a road. I've been abandoned by everything I've cared for. And everything I did care for, was taken away with it. I've lost all emotions when I let these two help me grow stronger. As I've no longer felt the pain and suffering I did when I was by myself. I allowed them to manipulate me, I've allowed them to take my memories and feelings away. But the stronger I become, the more I remember them... I just can't take it anymore. I prefered being dead to everything... I may just take the opportunity once again... If I don't, I may just destroy everything in my path out of rage and sadness." His voice seemed to trail off at the last part.

Nai-Ran stayed silent, examining the hollow-looking smile of the man sitting next to her. So, he would just disappear one day and leave behind nothing but an empty shell? From what it sounded like, even that would cease to look like him after a while. The goddesses within him were doing a lot for him, but were they really okay with taking such a payment? The young woman had been under the impression that one would have had to worship or at least look up to in order to gain their blessing. Either she was wrong, or they were okay with doing such a thing to those who held them in high regard. Either way, it was unbelievably sad.
The serpentine lass lowered her head. She couldn’t possibly know what he was going through, knowing Emer’s memories or not. Nai-Ran had three different sets of memories from three different people swirling around in her mind. They had belonged to herself, Emer, and Mimikku. They were painful and confusing for the most part, but it was never difficult to determine which belonged to who. Somehow saying ‘everything would be alright’ didn’t seem like it would help much. She didn’t want to appear to be making light of the problem. Perhaps she could find some way to assist. Coming up with solutions was far more productive than just saying everything would turn out for the best. It would provide something solid to work towards rather than just toss out empty words.
The less of goddesses’ power he used, the better? There was one idea that instantly popped into mind, though she got the feeling he wasn’t going to like it. ”My apologies if it sounds like I’m nagging or repeating myself, but if that’s the case then you really need to take better care of your body,” she suggested quietly. It was a common topic for the two of them, though she had been noticeably more cautious about it since had been brought back after her fight with Oni. He had seemed to be more annoyed with it than anything else, and the young woman didn’t want to push him away from the idea just because she was too persistent. Nai-Ran didn’t want to get on his nerves, but she needed to get through to him on that. It was more important than ever. ”You tend to rely on them a lot to patch you up instead of taking it easy and allowing yourself to heal naturally. I honestly think that that might help.”
Wait... was Emer crying? His voice wasn’t wavering at all, but he was definitely crying. That was a first. It was the first time she had ever seen tears slipping down his cheeks. It wasn’t so surprising given what was on his mind. The thought of simply fading into oblivion... Not really knowing which memories are his and which weren’t... The thought that those helping him only doing to eventually take over his empty body...
Sadness tended to be infectious, especially when it was this strong. Perhaps that was why Nai-Ran was okay with keeping a smile plastered on face and a chipper attitude no matter what was going on behind her mask. Not only would her own feelings not dampen the mood of those around her, but the appearance of happiness could be just as infectious. For the moment, she was finding it difficult to hold onto. Now wasn’t the time to allow herself to let up though. If anything, now it was more important than ever to stay strong.
Nai-Ran continued to listen in silence as his feelings spilled out, wanting him to get everything out that he needed to get out without interrupting. There was an awfully heavy weight that he carried on his shoulders, and it wasn’t just what was sewn into his clothes. There was a strong feeling of hopelessness that he carried. Thoughts of his sister... Feelings of betrayal brought on by a man he thought he could trust... Being hunted by the very same man... Knowing that his release meant his sister’s enslavement... His disgust with himself... There was an awful lot of negativity in his life. It made Nai-Ran feel rather powerless since she didn’t know if there was anything she could actually do to help him or not. Their friendship had definitely been rocky at times, but she still felt close to the guy. Here he was feeling like he was falling apart. She had to try to snap him out of it somehow, especially with his talk of destroying himself or anything in his path.
The young woman took a deep breath as soon as he had finished speaking. ”Eria...” she said calmly, offering him the handkerchief she had used to dab his face earlier. Nai-Ran had recalled the name of his sibling from the jumble of his memories that were floating around in her head. Again, she was able to differentiate which set of memories belong to who, so hopefully she could help him fill in the blanks even though she hadn’t actually been there. It was something, right? ”Your sister... That was her name. Eria,” she repeated. Hopefully that was a good starting point.
” Throwing a life away doesn’t accomplish as much as you might think,” she continued. Her tone sounded a tad despondent, but she was still smiling a thoughtful smile. ” If there’s something out there that you want so badly, how will you ever make sure it comes to fruition by dying? All it serves to do is spread even more misery. Even if expending your life ensured some progress towards that goal, you wouldn’t be around to make sure that progress wouldn’t just be undone the next day. Then what?”
”As you’ve said, not everyone wants to destroy you. In fact, there are countless people out there that have the same goal as you. They also wish to see the Kagami set free, even certain Saiyans. Mimikku said you two shared your memories, so you know that Ruto was one such Saiyan who was trying to achieve that. I’m sure he wasn’t the only one among them that thought that way,” Nai-Ran explained, putting her hand on Emer’s shoulder and giving him a confident nod. ”There are allies out there that want to help you. They want to see your people set free. They want to help you make sure Eria is safe. They want to help you overcome Oniusk. However, they most certainly don’t want to see you just disappear like that, be it by death or ceasing the fight for your existence.”
Nai-Ran then looked up into Emer’s face, her bright red eyes piercing into his own, yet not quite looking at him per se. It was more like she was trying to look through him. ”Irith... Alith... I’m not sure if you can hear me in there or not, or if you’ve been following what I’ve been saying. However, I happen to consider myself as one of those allies. I’m grateful that you've helped him for so long, but I'm not too fond of the idea of him fading away. Perhaps I’m out of line in saying this, and I’m certainly not trying to be disrespectful, but I assure you that I won’t be giving up my friend here without a fight.”

Emer sat there for a moment after revealing what had felt, it felt strange to say it all to be honest. But it was a good thing once in a while to let everything inside of you out, especially when you have bundled it all together for years and years. And here he was finally letting it show, how long has it been since he had last shown his own emotions to another? It had to be for a while, and the way she reacted towards him, showed that it was indeed a small problem towards herself as well. As his sadness seemed to radiate from every pore in his being. Suddenly looking towards the entrance the young Kagami let a small sigh escape his lips, as she talked about not pushing his body so hard. But the truth was, he needed to continue pushing, to prove to himself that he was still alive. And yet at the same time, he wondered how easy it would be to just fade away, and never have to worry about the others getting close to him. How it would be so easy just to forget everything in he long run? Would it honestly make him happier? No he had one goal and that was to free his people, he didn't care at what stakes. Suddenly Nai seemed to grab his face as she turned him towards her.
She spoke a name he hadn't heard in a long time, Eria, it was indeed his sisters name, it seemed to flood his mind slightly, but at the same time he just shook his head as she continued to speak. The tears on his face seemed to stop, and suddenly the cold voice of his responded to her in the middle of her talking. "I will never see what I wish to come to fruition Nai. As it has already been determined I won't last long regardless of what I do. My time here is limited by either the saiyans hunting me. Or the fact that the goddess wish to have control of my body. To top it off, I have never known true freedom besides for when I was younger, it means that I have never seen what it's like to live life to my own regard. Instead I am constantly sitting here, fighting every day to stay myself. Sometimes I truly believe it would be easier just to let these two have this damned body, but at the same time. It's my own body that I must keep in check. If they hurt people that had once been close to me, than I will not stand aside for that. Though I do believe that they wouldn't do so." His mind seemed to wonder a little bit before he sat back against the wall. A small sigh escaped him as she began talking again.
She spoke about how some people felt that he should still be around, a small smile appeared on his face as he looked towards the ceiling of the cave. "I hate to break it to you Nai. But not everyone see's the same way as you do. Mimiku has already sworn to stand within my way of what i was to accomplish. Even if it meant her death, as she had promised Ruto as you said. Though, I'll tell you what, when a Kagami lets you see their memories and share their blood wit you. I'll tell you the last secret that remains with us. When this is done, it used to be for marriage. When you shared your blood with one another, it showed a commitment, and when you do so. It allows you to see the others life. It was the perfect last step in making sure it is who you wished to be. But the saiyans have turned it into something in which we showed what we knew, we could keep no secrets from them. Regardless of if we wished to or not." His voice seemed to trail off before he saw her own eyes starring into his. A small smile appeared on his face. As she seemed to be speaking towards the others a soft laugh escaped Emer.
"They can't hear you right now Nai, As I've closed them off in the deepest part of me. The side I never wish to see again. It was artificial it was created... That side of me, wouldn't hesitate to kill my own family. Let alone stop from destroying a planet that someone I care lives on. If he was to ever come out, I wouldn't be myself anymore, as he holds all my darkest memories, the stronger I get, the more he comes out. I'm trying to make myself strong enough to contain him. But the problem with that is that no matter how strong I truly get. He will become just as strong as me. It's funny... It'll just come down to a battle of will should we fight. I'm sure you heard his voice that one day..." He said referring back to when he had attacked Nai in the middle of the fight. It was that deep clod voice, that was filled with rage and blood lust. It had sounded like a completely different person at the time. As he had never spoke like that. His voice had been deeper, it was raspy, and worst of all it sounded voided of anything but rage and want to kill.
Shifting slightly the tall Kagami stod up stretching. The cave glancing the back of his head as he did. it would seem that if he was any taller, he wouldn't of been able to stand up within here. His eyes seemed to be soft now though when he looked at Nai. A small smile appeared on his face that was genuine, not a fake one that she had been seeing all this time. But one that radiated happiness. "Though, if I had to say anything in my life. I don't regret tripping over your tail. I got to meet a wonderful person, one that I could cheerish as a close personal friend. One that makes the darkest days seem like they'll just pass." He said looking at her before walking out a bit towards the other end of the cave. It certainly was a bit colder over there, but the Kagami drew his cloak up before pinning it to the middle of the cave, the cold air that had been leaking in, was now sealed off by his giant cloak. Standing on the other side it would take a bit for the place would warm up slowly with the fire. But it would only last long enough to keep them warm till the storm passed for the night. It wasn't certain for how long though through the night. As it was just some small twigs and leaves.
Turning around Emer laid down stretched out on the cave floor. A small yawn escaped his lips. As he laid starring at the ceiling, his hand propping his hand up. "Don't worry, I'll be over here on the other side of this cloak. It gives you the privacy that you need. And keeps the warmth in there with you. I can deal with the cooler air, as I stay a bit warmer than anyone else I know. So in the mean time, my body will rest, as I'm going to go ahead and sleep." He said mocking her about worrying on how he rested. But at the same time, he was being nice about it before he laid down. Closing his eyes slightly the tall Kagami let a yawn escape from him. It didn't take too long, as if she was waiting or tried to talk to him, she would hear a soft noise, one that was of deep breathing, and a soft exhale. Meaning that the man had already fallen asleep. In his defense, Emer was both mentally and physically drained. And the fact they'd be here for the night, he was trying to make it comfortable for her.
Within his mind, it seemed the storm died down, as he hadn't worried about the two within his body. He had sealed them away for a time being. It wouldn't be long till the two of them would be able to come back and talk to him. But for now he was satisfied with them being sealed away for the time being. t would mean for a safe nights sleeps, and possibly give him the rest that he needed at the moment. If he kept showing this weakness, than it would be bad for him in the long run. Depending how late the Nai decided to stay up, to Emer the night seemed to shift away quickly as when in one's own mind. It seemed that time moved faster than anything. In the time you slept, it felt like only minutes. But in truth you sleep for hours, or perhaps you're not truly asleep? How do you explain those dreams in which look real. And then the events you witness later on when you're awake... What does that mean?

”Don’t give up quite yet. Opponents can be overcome, be they in front of your or stemming from within,” Nai-Ran said in an attempt to encourage Emer to keep going. ”And you will have your freedom. I promise. Just... please don’t give up, okay? That’s one of the worst things you could possibly do to yourself.” All in all, the young woman figured she should have just gone straight to Satan City to take care of that. She was glad that Emer was opening up to her more, but she obviously wasn’t having any problems with her tail so she could have probably made the trip just fine. If she could have presented his freedom to him, he might not have sounded so ready to throw everything away. How could one ever truly just want to fade into oblivion like that? Perhaps she would have thought differently had she been in Emer’s situation, but Nai-Ran simply couldn’t fathom it.
The young woman sighed as he pointed out that there were those out there that thought differently about siding with him. Come on, as optimistic as she tried to be about everything, he had to at least give her a little credit on that front. ”I’m not trying to say that everyone out there is going to be on your side. There are always going to be those out there that will oppose your goals and ideals for whatever reason. I grew up in an environment heavy in politics. As I once said, I’m expected to take my father’s place one day in governing over my home region. Those that helped prepare me for such a future gave me no illusion that everyone out there wants to help me or be my friend. That’s why you need to be open to those that do,” Nai-Ran explained, looking down at her cloak. She wanted to view the world around her like everything was going to work out in the end and that everybody had nothing but smiles for each other. It was extremely childish, but at the end of the day she was well aware that things were never going to be that easy. The young woman paused for a few moments before continuing. ”And of course Mimikku’s going to stand in your way. That doesn’t mean she’s out to destroy you personally. What it means is that she can’t allow you to go through with your plans of genocide. She saw herself how hard some Saiyans were working towards freeing the Kagami, and then there’s Ninjin to take into consideration. She’s just trying to protect what she holds dear, Ruto’s legacy. Like me, she also believes that there are other ways to have your people achieve their freedom than resorting to killing anyone and everyone who just so happened to be born with any amount of Saiyan blood in their veins.”
Emer went on to explain what sharing blood originally meant for his kind, and the answer to that certainly wasn’t one the Nai-Ran had been expecting. Marriage? So what she had done with both Emer and Mimikku had originally been intended for that? It made sense once she actually thought about it. Allowing someone to see your memories was awfully personal. It made sense for the Saiyans to want to take advantage of that as soon as they found out that they could gain such knowledge from it, as morally bankrupt as it sounded. ”I... see...” was all she could manage to say in response. While she had been specifically told that it had needed to be done in order to purchase Emer’s contract, it wasn’t helping her feel any better about why it had been necessary to do it. The Kagami that was sitting next to her at the back of the cave laughed as Nai-Ran tried to address Irith and Alith. ”Oh... So they didn’t hear a word of that then?” Nai-Ran asked sheepishly as she clasped her hands in front of her. Odd, she had been under the impression that while they couldn’t always take over, they could at least hear and see what Emer was hearing and seeing. To be honest, now she felt a bit silly for trying to talk to those who weren’t actually there. At least Emer seemed to get some amusement out of it, so her little slip up wasn’t completely for nothing.
”Ah yes, I remember him,” the serpentine lass chuckled nervously as she looked back up to him. Nai-Ran wasn’t really happy with either of the goddesses that inhabited Emer’s body at the moment. However, where they had been locked away didn’t sound pleasant at all, nor did the fact that such a side of the tall man even existed in the first place. It’s true that she had come face to face with the personality he was talking about, but it was still hard to take in exactly how twisted the other Emer could be. To think that if the Kagami ever lost that battle of will, that he could supposedly take out his own family or entire planets without a second thought... Just the thought of it was enough to make her shudder.
Emer shifted and stood up, the top of his head almost brushed against the cave’s natural ceiling. Nai-Ran was certain there was a lot going on inside of his head after all that had been revealed. Honestly, she wasn’t sure exactly what to say to him at that moment. She never once in her life had to worry about anything even close to the idea of fading away and allowing another to take over her body, suppressing a murderous second personality, or trying to free her people from slavery. Sure she had tried her best to say things that might possibly help, but there was no getting around the fact that her life back on Appodorra had been rather cushy. Both of them knew this. What could someone like her possibly say to make things better? Had she even been helping at all? Though, when he looked back at her, he was actually smiling. It didn’t look fake in the slightest, either. It was actually kind of a shock.
”I most certainly don’t regret pulling you out of the road, either,” Nai-Ran said as she returned the smile. Perhaps she was helping out after all, if even only a little bit. ”There aren’t all that many people on Earth that I can say that I know, or can even call my friend. Perhaps it’s my odd appearance or the fact that the climate I prefer isn’t one that this planet’s inhabitants are comfortable in. Either way, I’m incredibly grateful for the few friends that I’ve gained since first arriving on Earth. It’s made being isolated from my home world a lot more pleasant than I originally thought it would be. Even if one of my closest friend here seems to take a little too much pleasure in seeing me embarrassed,” she chuckled, referring to the various times her face had gone bright red and she lost control of her ability to string words together. It always felt like she wanted to hide herself away during those times in order to preserve what little dignity she had left after getting so flustered. Those situations seemed to never fail to bring a smile to Emer’s face though. Somehow that didn’t make them quite so bad.
Nai-Ran raised an eyebrow as Emer moved a bit closer to the mouth of the cave and affixed his cloak to the roof of the cave like a makeshift curtain between the two of them. He was going to sleep on the other side of the garment? It was true that she was taught not to share a sleeping space with those of the opposite gender. It was also true that he gave off an incredible amount of body heat, especially compared to what a Ryashi could give off. Was it the right decision though? It’s not like he had too much concern for his wellbeing. The young woman’s eyelids started to droop again. Hopefully trusting his judgment on this one would be alright. The allure of sleep was far too strong for her to argue with him on it. ”If you say so...” she murmured, attempting to stifle a yawn. ”Goodnight.” With that, she closed her eyes and relaxed against the rocky wall behind her.
The serpentine lass wasn’t sure how much time had passed as she lie in her closed off section of the cave. While she was feeling sleepy from the cold, her cloak that was still draped around her and Emer’s cloak that was blocking some of the cold air from entering the area were keeping her warm enough to stop her body from shutting down. However, she wasn’t nearly warm enough to get comfortable and drift off either. As time dragged on at an agonizingly slow pace, the shivers jolting through her body were starting to become more regular. The sound of her chattering teeth could occasionally be heard echoing off the walls of the cave. This wasn’t going to work at all...
While Nai-Ran tried to think of what to do in her state of half consciousness, her eyes drifted to the cloak that separated Emer and herself. That’s when she got an idea. Maybe Emer could warm her cloak up with his body heat. Surely she could get some sleep with even just a little bit more warmth. Was doing something like that really okay though? The guy was fast asleep, and she was positive that he needed his rest far more than she did at the moment. Not only did it seem wrong somehow to attempt to harness his body heat while he was asleep, but there was no way he’d be able to just sleep through having a cold garment tossed over him, even if it was only for a little bit. He had already been considerate enough to pull her out of the cold, and even respect the social rules brought about by her upbringing by giving her her privacy. That was hardly a way to repay someone.
She tore her eyes away from Emer’s cloak and focused her gaze back on the wall as she tried to come up with another idea. Unfortunately, not only wasn’t anything else coming to mind, her shivering was starting to become even more violent. The serpentine lass stole another reluctant glance at the makeshift curtain and lightly bit her bottom lip. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if she nudged him awake first. Not wide awake, of course. It would be just enough so that she could ask him if he wouldn’t mind too terribly much. That was better than trying to pull something like that off without his knowledge, wasn’t it?
Nai-Ran slithered over to the cloth barrier that separated her from the Kagami and poked her head outside of it. There may not have been that much of a difference in temperature compared to the part of the cave that was walled of, but it sure felt like there was. The rush of colder air against her face sent yet another shiver down her spine, all the way to the very tip of her tail. Surely enough, her tall friend was fast asleep just on the other side. ”Emer? Are you awake? I’m really sorry to disturb you,” she whispered cautiously. She waited for a few moments, but got no response. He was sleeping pretty soundly it seemed.
The young woman gulped and carefully pushed herself closer. ”Hey... Again, I’m sorry about the intrusion, but I don’t think I can-,” she started to whisper again as she reached out a hand to nudge his shoulder. However, her train of thought stalled the moment her fingertips made contact with him. Nai-Ran knew he gave off quite a bit more heat than she did, but she hadn’t been expecting to be quite that warm! She sat there completely at a loss for words for a few moments, just taking in the warm against her fingers. Thankfully, she quickly remembered she had reached out to him for a reason and lightly nudged him as she had originally intended. There was still no response. The guy was completely out. Had she not been able to see him breathing, she would have been concerned that there was something wrong with him.
It didn’t look like Nai-Ran’s original plan was going to work at all. She bit her lip again and began to look around the cave frantically, not really sure what she was expecting to find. Sure, she had ONE idea that would surely keep her warm, but there was no way she could do it! As ashamed as she was to admit it, she had already committed a number of what would be considered social taboos during her time on Earth. Showing negative emotions in front of others, allowing herself to be seen in the state that Oni had left her in after their fight, purchasing a slave, walking in on a man while he was bathing, waking up coiled around another... However, as an unmarried young woman, to willingly entwine herself with someone?! That was far too much! It was only made worse by the fact that he was fast asleep and wouldn’t even know what was going on until she was already curled around him!
Nai-Ran clenched her fists and continued to rapidly glance around the cave, looking for some sort of magical solution to her problem that wouldn’t portray her as some kind of deviant. However, the only other option she could think of was to simply allow her body to stay at its current borderline dangerously low temperature and eventually have it shut down from the lack of warmth. Probably what scared her the most about that was that she could practically see her father looking down upon her and insisting that it was the better option, that allowing herself to freeze and potentially damage her body rather than bring disgrace to the name of their tiny clan. The troubled young woman looked back to Emer’s sleeping form, and then at the hand that she had use to try to wake him from his slumber. He had just been so warm... No! Why was she even considering this?! There was no way she could bring herself to do something so inappropriate just to save her own skin, especially not to someone that she considered to be such a close friend!
Perhaps... Perhaps he wouldn’t mind it too terribly much? Emer had already shown on multiple occasions that he was far more comfortable with such things than she was. After all, it’s how he had carried her to the cave to begin with... No! Even if he was more comfortable with it, that was no reason to do such a thing! She was supposed to be a proper lady, one who was raised in high society! It wasn’t right and she couldn’t do it; that was that! ...So why was she still thinking about it?
No matter how much she mentally screamed at herself that she needed to stop thinking about what she had been thinking, she didn’t move from her spot. At this point, it was painfully obvious that she was just dawdling. Nai-Ran knew she needed to stay warm; her survival instinct wouldn’t allow her to just back away because something was deemed socially inappropriate. Her only hope was that Emer wouldn’t come to resent her for her decision, for being so weak of mind and body. The young woman couldn’t allow herself to perish over something like this, but she wasn’t sure if she could forgive herself if it caused her to lose a friend.
The young woman inhaled sharply and closed her eyes, trying in vain to mentally prepare herself for what she was about to do. ”I’m sorry,” she whispered sullenly before she unfastened her cloak and carefully tried to position herself against Emer’s back in about the same spot that she had first woken up. Nai-Ran tried her best not to shift him any more than necessary, grateful that he still showed no signs of waking up. Her tail wrapped around his torso, using the tip of it to pull her cloak over the both of them as best she could. It wasn’t nearly as large as Emer’s cloak, so it didn’t really fit the both of them as well. While she dreaded what awaited her in the morning when the Kagami finally woke up to see what she had done, the serpentine lass couldn’t seem to focus on those thoughts anymore. The intense warmth against her skin was quickly lulling her into a state of unconsciousness. She quickly drifted off into nearly as deep of a sleep as the man she was coiled around.
