Color was never going to raise her cheeks, that she knew all to well. The pale face of the Kagami shined as the pouring sunshine hit her with a sudden blazing heat. She had not experienced a heat like this for some while, and the rise in temperature only made it worse. She would scuff her hood over her head again with her cupped hands. The thick red was vibrant against her rainbow-like hair, constantly changing colors in the light of the morning sun. The blowing of the sand against her robe and leather clothing was rough, the silt feeling tearing at her only exposed skin but barely leaving a small scratch, not breaking her beautiful, almost untouched skin. Her blood red lips pursed while the Konatsian in front of her, the creature offering her a golden coated item she could not pinpoint. It resembled that of a hairpin, small rubies embedded into butterfly shapes. It was truly beautiful to look at for the young woman. "Ma'am, I assure you that these priceless artifacts are from the Kashvar Ruins, and are solid gold. They are said to be enchanted to make whoever wears this set appear more beautiful to the opposite sex. I cannot keep these for fear of being hunted by the Kashvar, so if you wish to buy them, name your price""Hm, they are beautiful... Maybe a little to beautiful. I will offer my current food rations? Deal?""Deal. You will not be disappointed my dear" The conversation would end, Sol handing over some fruits and meat-like substances to the man, in exchange for the jewelry. Sol inspected them, noticing their value being higher then the man had actually deemed, maybe even more. She was a happy woman today. The Konatsian would run away, thinking it got away with a good deal, unaware of it's folly, while Sol went the opposite direction, further into the desert. She would have to return to her captain soon, but until then, she could test out her new Hairpins, or even get more bounty and loot. Today was going to be a good day.

(Thread PL: 182,989) (Current PL: 50,000) "Hm hmm hmmm," Alaistair hummed out musically, recalling a catchy tune Arthus had been playing while he decided to head to the bank today. The day was sure a blaze, Alaistair having to dress lightly in a t-shirt of black, khakis which had a couple bottles of water in the pockets near his knees, casual brown boot shoes, and sunblock layered onto his skin before having left. He had gone to the bank, where he made the first end of the month payment for the Loft's residential and business taxes. After a run in with Breech, and a needed avoidance of a dispute, Alaistair procured a contract with someone through the bank's legal network to set up a security camera system into the Loft! It costed a bit of a fortune, but this way, he'd be able to keep a better on what would happen in his shop. He'd not quite recovered fully from the brawl he had with Plato, as well as the sparring match he had with the former, and future queen. It was quite amusing as he came to that realization in the chamber that night! It was a bit disjointing, everything that happened, but at the least, Alaistair would be able to return to the Loft with a bit of normalcy. Something, however, attracted Alaistair's attention far into the desert. The Devil was sensing something strange... The fact that he could sense them! Breech's touch upon the populace had made many individuals cybernetic, and with that change, a loss of their energy was present. Alaistair looked at the data article within his scouter that he took with him, to keep track of the data receipts between the Cherry Valley Loft and the bank of Konats, before stating, "I can get this stuff back later..!"Alaistair rocketed out of the active street, startling a couple of citizens with the sudden wind he produced! It'd taken him a few minutes to find the locations of the two, one trailing far off with an almost civilian level of power. Alaistair hovered high above, his shadow in the scorching sun appearing onto the land below like an oddly shaped cloud. "I wonder who they are... Such a small power level out here in the desert, and so far off too!"( Sol )

"B-By Irith's name... Who is this? Such power? The first person I sense and they are this powerful?" Sol would say to herself, turning to gaze in the direction of Alaistair. She could see his outline in the sun's light, his figure being something similar to that of her friends before her current career. Maybe this man wasn't a Konatsian. What type of person was he?
Sol would slowly begin to glide off of the ground, still wobbly from not using flight for so long, the dust and sand below her slowly beginning to be blown away. Flying, up and up into the air before bolting towards the Power level she had sensed, hoping to finally find someone that wasn't going to steal something from her, or sell her their belongings. Her eyes closed while she flew to keep sand from blinding her, and her hood being removed by the wind, wiggling off of her back, trapped by her handbag's shoulder strap. Getting closer and closer, until she was only a matter of a few feet away, she would stop, her hair pulled back from her face to see the man before her.
He was otherowrldly, she could already tell. He gave off the sort of vibe her captain did, and his appearance matched stories she had heard. He was either a really similar alien, or a demon. She didn't match height with him, clearly being smaller then the man, but her piercing red eyes glared at him with a fierceness, hoping for the best encounter possible.
"Hello there! I am Sol, and you are interesting. Judging from the fact that you have sensible Ki makes me wonder why you are here?" She said aloud, making sure he could hear her booming voice. It was delicate, like a young woman in her prime.

During Alaistair's doting thoughts, the small presence had noticed Alaistair and had been making their way up. However, Alaistair had remained thinking, having assumed a cross legged sitting posture too. His eyes kept on them, oddly, as if he was partly there. "They're probably some travellers. Surprised they didn't come to Ocariin when they landed. It's quite a pleasant city I plan to control! It's not like... Wait, she's right here," Alaistair pondered, coming to a realization that she'd come up to him, "Guess I can mark off that they're able to sense energy and use it to fly..!"The clearly young woman shot Alaistair a fierce stare, her voice loud despite her being right in front of him. Yet, it had a remaining delicateness that made her sound like a young teen demanding attention... Was she trying to get the Devil's attention to begin with? "Well, I live on this planet," Alaistair explained pleasantly, "And being on a world of cybernetic and android individuals, you tend to recognize who's actually got energy... And oddly, it seems to be ladies, no less, that try to maintain their figure and their natural identity! Except for this one girl that came here several days ago. Weird one. Ended up making herself a table and tea out of her own magical abilities, yet she was a Android!"Alaistair straightened himself out, though, slapping his knees and shaking his head to stop the rambling, before asking with energy in his voice, "But that's a whole story for another time! I'm the owner of the Cherry Valley Loft, Alaistair! Whom is the lady I speak to, I wonder?"( Sol)

"Hello there Alaistair. Quite an interesting name I might add. Last time I heard a name that extravagant I was still in shackles... Anyway, this is quite the place. I was intrigued by your power and how open you were about it, I guess you don't find many travelers here who wish to... Square up to you." Sol went on, wondering why something so strong was on a desert planet in the middle of space nowhere owning a collective hotel. "Oh, I forgot, I apologize, but I am Sol, like the sun of the planet Earth. While you speak in riddles, this is quite the conversation, mind we sit down somewhere? This hot sun is getting to me, and my pale skin only turns pink when burned". Sol was offering to go down from floating in the air, wishing to rather not be sunburned like she had been only a week ago. Lifting her hood to be over her hair again, mainly due to the aforementioned ball of blazing fire in the sky, but also to cover her weary face from the man. This Alaistair gave off the look and feel of a gentleman, someone with a certain respectable sense that made her only think of those of high class. What was this man doing in the middle of nowhere? "You are an odd man to meet out her Sir Alaistair. You seem, elegant, like a prince, yet you seem fierce almost. What are you... If I may be so bold?" She would ask, no matter what they did. Her curiosity got the better of her, and hopefully wouldn't lead her to blunder.

Sol, as she called herself, spoke very formally to Alaistair, even addressing him like a prince! The note, however, that she thought Alaistair was speaking riddles... Did she not know about androids and cyborgs? "I'm a man who likes to keep his identity in the middle, in between open and closed," Alaistair retorted, "And there's no need to be so formal, Sol, nor address me with a knight's term! The last royal person I spoke with, we ended up having a brawl about several kliks from here about respect! Also, yes we may go find a place out of this sun. I may be red, but I certainly don't want to look like a shedded snake skin!"Alaistair followed her down to the ground, nearing a set of old, gargantuan old bones that'd been mostly covered by the sands of Konats. He pulled out one of the two water bottles from his pocket upon landing, popping the nozzle up and squeezing the clear liquid from the crinkly blue bottle. He let out a relieving gasp, wiping his mouth before looking and asking her, with a shake of the nearly full bottle, "Need a drink?"( Sol)

"Oh, completely understandable. Last time someone knew to much about me, I was a prisoner." She said, smiling towards the demon with a look of hilarity. She enjoyed recollecting, and this new person was definitely a change of pace. "I would rather not get into a fight with you. Anywho, lets get down to the ground" Sol would speak, adjusting her short shorts. Sand was still on her ass from sitting on a bench a few hours ago, and she seemed to never escape the horrible bane of shorts. She would land near the bones, curious as to their origin, but more focused onto her new acquaintance. Alaistair offered her the bottle, which slightly, but also gave her a sort of hope for friendship. If he was this nice, it couldn't be hard to be friendly with the man. "I'd love to. We need to keep our whistles wet. As you said, snake skin" She giggled, taking the bottle in her hands, and taking a small swig from the drink, lips never touching the cap, before offering it back to the man. Her back would lean on one of the bones, her heeled feet digging into the sand, keeping a tough grasp as to not trip and fall. She was not happy with her wardrobe choice, but it was her only current pair, and as much as it showed her skin, the robe as the only thing keeping her from getting roughed up by the sandstorms she had experienced. "So, S- I mean Alaistair, you mentioned an android with magic? I have heard of living machines, but I 'ave been living under a rock, per say. What were they like, I d'inna see anything like that during my time through space" Her posh and almost formal speech would slowly fade, into what could only be assumed as a light irish accent. She had been holding back her slang, now showing her true self to Alaistair. He isn't of royalty, and judging from his mentioning of bad royal experience, he'd probably rather hear my normal speech. Sol thought to herself, smirking on the outside while peering over at the man, slightly upward due to the height difference.

This girl seemed to have been fairly wary of Alaistair, and a bit on the delusional side, with the lack of water. He was quite sure he didn't mention androids with magic. However, the oddly dressed girl was amusing and graciously took the bottle to drink. In a manner of irishness in her accent, she asked about them some more. Alaistair leaned against a bone on the opposite side, biting his lip as he nodded. "Well, I'm too certain about the magical androids," he explained, not letting Sol out so easy, "But the androids and cyborgs here are fairly basic. Some are made to be practically like humans, but reveal their robotic parts through actions and devices sprouted from them! Then there's those who don't like being what they are and seek metal modifications to their bodies, either because they need to with a loss of a limb and working body parts, or because they simply want to change their personal image. They're all pretty give and take with their reasons. Here, it's because the Chancellor, named Doctor Breech, recommended it to the current King to assist the everyday civilian improve their livelihood!"The last bit, he was being facetious, but that shouldn't matter to a girl like this. Alaistair then guessed, with a follow up question to her, "The accent you've got is definitely offworld... Willing to bet that you're from the Earth, or at least a place that has heavy Earthling traffic! Am I right?"( Sol)

She thought it over, wondering what kind of person this 'Breech' was. He sounded good, at least, to her personal opinion, and from the words spoken by the demon. His talking of the people was accurate, having seen many of the people with mechanical body parts to assist with their every day life. That was a given from the metal chested men, an women with arms that seemed to stretch to distances one would never expect. Her eyes narrowed as a sun glare came across her face, listening to Alaistair's question. Earth. She had heard of the planet from her previous slave friends, but had never been herself. Maybe they had been from the planet, she had never fully learned before leaving with Captain Charon. "Good guess, heh, but I am from Arcose. Though, I was raised by some people who spoke similar, so they might have..." She said, slowing thinking about something to say in a hilarity, before figuring out she really had nothing to joke about. She could tell Alaistair was withholding information, but what could she do? She was basically interrogating him, so it made sense... The best she could do is coax him into talking more. "So, you know some people from Earth? Those with my accent I mean. I had never been, I have sorta been... travelling around the galaxy. Not the best experiences, a lot of death and theft, but that is another story for later." She spoke, talking more about the Earth. Maybe that was a worthy target of robbery. She was sure Earth had rich people with loads of cash and treasure... and they did need a new ship. "Is the planet, uh, close by?"

"Arcose," he responded with muse, "I know of the planet! Quite, well actually! Have a few friends and acquaintances from the planet and the Arcosian Empire... Well, the former Empire."Sol asked about the Earth in an, admittedly, suspicious manner after her small description of her travels involving death. Alaistair shook his head in response before telling her, "The Earth's many light years away. It's also a planet that begets many issues with anyone involved with it. However, that's why it served as the planet for the meetings between the AE, SSE, Namek, and itself! It's got a little bit of everything from across the stars."Alaistair pulled up the other bottle and opened it. He inquired to her, "Sound a bit like an adventurous sorta person. What brought ya to the planet Konats?"( Sol)

"Ooh, ya know of Arcose. Fun. I didn't have the best experiences there, but here is to hopes of a beter visit." Sol said, remembering the day she left the horrid planet. Arcose was her definition of a personal hell, she was likely to never return, and if she did, it would be with a vengeance. "The Arcosians seem like a royal set of fellows, though their feudal system sorta kills the mood of going there". Her hand dug through her bag, a sort of survivalist bag underneath the long red robes and retrieved a small bit of meat, nibbling on a chunk while offering some to Alaistair. She may have given up her water for those golden hairpins, she still held onto as much food as she could while she was stuck on this desert planet. "I'm here because of an incident involving my captain crashing our ship here after an altercation in the sky. Being that you live here, I am surprised you didn't see us fall from space." She said, smirking at her little retort, before slightly calming herself while inspecting the demon. She hadn't taken the time to check him up and down, and he was, in fact, red. She never noticed fully how he looked, and she admired his facial features. He was different from Captain Charon, that was for sure, and a change of pace was great. "So Earth was, or is some kinda hub? Sounds interesting, though I'd probably not like to visit for fear 'a being attacked. Namekians, Saiyans, Arcosians all in one area? Sound's like a warzone to me"She watched the sand blow around her, wondering exactly where she was on planet compared to her ship wreckage. She couldn't be that far, she just walked in one direction for a couple of hours and stopped every so often to buy something, but never making a different direction, and staring out into distance did not give her any more hopes of seeing the smoke from the wreckage. "Speaking of which... This place seems prosperous, but I noticed a large amount of people mentioning something. I can't remember... 'Cash-Ver?' or something like that. They were like Beezlebub here or something. I tried to figure out what they were but people ran away from me when I said their name. Are they the royalty or something?"

At the mention of Arcose, Sol gave Alaistair a bit of lament. It wasn't to him, but the way she described it, it sounded to him that she didn't enjoy the place. Meanwhile, she went rummaging through her bag and pull out some jerky meat, offering Alaistair some. He held up his hand, stating, "I ate before going to the bank earlier, but thank you though!"Sol continued to talk about herself, stating that she came to arrive through a ship crashing with her captain after a dispute. She was surprised that Alaistair didn't see, hear, or sense it happen before. Alaistair looked over and told her, "I was a bit focused on handling my business at the time. Sure, the senses may be on 24/7, but like all people, I choose to focus those one what's important instead of letting myself focus on everything."The Devil noticed she'd been more focused upon his face, examining his entire body during the explanation. Alaistair had been getting a bit more comfortable with that with the people he'd been working with being on the much prettier side of things. She then described the Earth being a bit of a hub planet of sorts, on top of being a warzone which earned a nod and a brief look away as he replied, "You know... That's not a far off description! That planet's seen and experienced quite a lot!"She questioned Alaistair about the Kashvarr, resulting with a roll of the eyes from Alaistair, and even mentioned Beelzebub too! Alaistair told her, his voice sternly, "They were right to run, but not before an explanation. The Kashvarr perverse life with their occult powers on this planet and its people, shoving into them monstrous beings from the outer rim of the universe..."Alaistair paused for a moment, to point to her with alarm in his voice. "They twist up people. Make them lose sense of reality, and their own personal minds. They look like regular Konatsians, but that is only because they take up the Konatsian as a host of sorts! I imagine you can sense energy, or you'd not request us fighting nor wouldn't noticed me earlier, so let me explain this to you: Be wary of the Konatsians you can sense. Demons and Devils, Devils being like Beelzebub and myself, are easy to spot out and most of which are unintentionally chaotic! These Konatsians with the monsters put into them, though, are quite dangerous if the host cannot gather control and their wits. One former King of this planet, and a loving man deep down, is one sort of individual... Speaking of Devils, Beelzebub is a wild brat. Got to meet him before in the deep reaches, which is why I know that!"( Sol)

"These Kashvar seem to be a bit off from the normal crowd... Placing monsters into people. By Irith's grace that sounds like it would be horrible. Why would anyone dream of such horror. I have seen and heard some wicked things in my life, even watching my parents getting tortured to death for being Kagami, but to be made into a monster. Though, if they can manage to control it, that sounds like it could be of great use. I would 'ather not get myself involved in that sort of crowd though. My goddess would banish me for committing to such a sin." She spoke with her sorted and slightly terrified from the remark. She had met a many man in her life, but this was her first encounter with hidden monsters. People who could look like anyone, but were actually things of evil, what was she to do? "So you are that of a Demon. I was assuming so, but I didn't wish to pry, or accidentally call ye something you aren't. My Captain is a wee Demon as well. Not as old as some of ye can be, but experienced. He originates from here as well I do believe, I have never really talked with him about his origins. He would probably love ta meet ya. You are definitely an excellent talker, this has been the longest, and might I say nicest discussion I have held on this planet. By now, either the other person left, or attacked me for my money. Glad to know some good people are on a place like this."She hoped to have not offended him in any way with her remark on Konats, though she would keep quiet about it until the time arrived. Should she need to actually apologize, she was prepared to. Her jerkey didn't last long with her apatite, wiping her mouth of any crumbs and grease that may be left with a small tissue she picked from her bag, she would direct herself to digging her heels from the sand, and stretching her arms upwards to get out all the kinks in her body. Her flowing, rainbow-like hair slightly overflowing from her rustled hood which she held onto like a toddler with their blanket. She had memories with this robe, and she wasn't going to remove it for a second, that is, unless time arose that she needed to put it up. "So, Alaistair. If met Beezelbub, that means you have been to the afterlife? Did you die, or were you born in the afterlife... Actually that may be a bit of a personal question... In fact, I ask way to many questions" Sol said, scratching the back of her head while laughing lightly. She just noticed how much she was acting like a child, constantly asking an adult questions on topics she knew nothing about. "I just wanted to know... If death was as bad as it seems. Sure, I have seen people die. Heck, I have killed men and women before... but it seems horrible. The pain, the darkness, it is morbid to think of, but I am not sure if I will ever be ready for death. And by Irith's name if I die and go to an Afterlife, I know I will likely not be meeting my goddess any time soon."

"That I am," Alaistair replied to her remark, choosing not to explain any further to the Kagami, "And first impressions are always a good thing to have! However, call me a Devil, not a demon. I prefer that distinguishing term!"The girl stretched the joints of her bones high to the sky, and as she did, her supposed white hair had begun to refract the light, becoming a rainbow of hair strings! She was already a pretty woman, but that little trait exemplified it further. Alaistair didn't expect to see that from her and it made him think about how each world had been fairly different from each other from his days prior to what she saw before her! Days when he was more relaxed, observant, and peaceful. Alaistair nearly didn't hear the question about the afterlife! He waited for her to finish speaking, so he could get a better understanding of this person. She wanted to know if Death was as bad as it was made to be, having committed actions of life slaying herself. She seemed a believer of a godly entity, named Irith... That was a name he'd not heard in awhile! "Well, for one, that blackness is literally as fast as you close your eyes. Then, you immediately awaken in the afterlife, as a little puff cloud on a big ol' line," Alaistair explained to her, "This line goes to a check in station where you meet the guy who determines if you go to heaven or hell, or as the light hearted people call it, HFIL, which is a anagram for Home for infinite losers. These people have jokes..."Alaistair snickered a bit at it, before continuing, "As for the pain... Well, that's the horrible part really. I died, technically two times, the first time being a speculative one, while the second was for attempting a battle on a planet! The afterlife isn't what it was before... Irith, I didn't meet there, before you ask!"( Sol)
