Emer began trudging down the mountain back towards the desert. It was annoying him that the saiyan was acting so friendly towards him. It was if he didn't even know what his own race was to the Kagami. They had literally been termed Masters for nearly a thousand years or more now. A small sigh escaped the man as he came to a halt beside a tree. The wound on his side was slowly closing up due to Irith and Alith spending time to look over it. Suddenly he heard what seemed to be foot steps behind him. It was probably one of the three from the camp that had begun following him. He needed to work on his senses later... He remembered Nai talking about how she was following his signature, that would be great to have as he could of easily traced someone down... Turning his head slightly he saw the green man walking towards him though it seemed that he stood a bit away from Emer. "So... They sent you after me huh?" His voice wasn't as harsh as it had been with Pieter, but it still held a sense of something cold towards it.
Alith stopped what she was doing long enough to talk to Emer. 'It just goes to show that even if he's a saiyan. He cares for your well being, I mean he did tell you a natural remedy for the wounds after all.' Emer dismissed the young woman within his head with no more than a second thought. His eyes seemed to be starring at the green man. He still hadn't figured out what type of creature he was, but he had spoken earlier about being from Namek and Earth at the same time? What the hell was Namek anyway? Shaking his head a bit, he could feel his thoughts getting a little groggy and heavy. He wasn't in any condition to walk for a long time. Turning around dismissing the man, Emer was looking for something that most would dismiss as a place for relaxing. Each step he took was a bit wobbly. Finally by some luck he found what he had been looking for. A tree not more than fifteen feet ahead of him, still retained some of it's leaves through the winters breath.
Rising slightly into the air, Emer only flew high enough to grab a branch that seemed to be hidden within the leaves before hoisting himself up into the leaves and branches. The cold wind seemed to halt as he pulled up into the natural blanket. What most didn't know, is the leaves would block most of the wind from getting to the skin, and to top it off provided a nice little cover from people being able to spot you. Well it did for Emer, as he seemed to fade from sight into the tree. If the Namekian wasn't focusing on him completely, it would seem that the young Kagami had disappeared.

Ukare began to trail after the descended Emer, giving Pieter some reassurance. Nai-Ran agreed about not staying at this place, as well as elaborating that she'd try to best give Pieter an explanation about Emer. He told her, "Alright. We'll have move towards the larger set of mountains on the forest level."
Pieter walked near the edge of the mountain and looked down it. He thought, "We're not that high up. That's good to note. However, is the lady of serpent capable of climbing this terrain?"
The hunter didn't notice any stable looking paths for them to walk along as he peered down. As he surveyed, he proceeded to ask Nai, "Firstly, what is he? He's very human-like, in appearance, but the size and vibe he gives off says he's not that... AH! There's a usable path!"
Pieter spotted what seemed to have been a path carved out by the weather. He couldn't make a good guess on its size, but the hunter was optimistic about it. It'd give the two of them time to talk and figure out what the situation was with Emer... Speaking of which, he proceeded to ask her another question, "Another thing, what is with these spirits in him? They seem like my tribe's spirit guides, but the fact they take over his body in such a manner... What are they to him?"

Shrug. That was the mere answer Emer could get out of the Namekian. It was apparent that he didn't care too much over him over the Saiyan behind. Judging from the lessened tone of harshness and whatnot from the volume of the Kagami's voice. But, Ukare swallowed hard on saliva. Just a bit on edge due to the other having an incredible power- again, judging from the previous fight. Ukare continued to follow closely behind the silver haired man. His eyes gazing from side to side to search for anything of use.
The Namek began thinking. Of where to go, after everything was cleared and everyone regained their individual strengths. There must have been something more he could do- then again, he could return to the city and rest more. May as well have gone with that over just sitting around.

Nai-Ran’s thoughts were still lingering on Emer and Ukare. The Ryashi really hoped the two of them would be alright out there. It had been a long day for everyone, and they still needed to recuperate. It didn’t help that Emer had sounded like he was in a bad mood. At least it wasn’t Pieter accompanying him though. There was no way that would have ended well.
With all of her things gathered up, Nai-Ran followed right behind Pieter as the two of them made their way deeper into the mountains. The ground was a little bit unstable, but she actually had pretty good maneuverability through it. That was just one of the perks of not having legs. She didn’t have to worry about tripping or stumbling at all since her tail gave her quite a bit of stability. Even as sleepy as she was, following after the hybrid didn’t give her any problems at all.
”You’re intuition is correct. Emer’s not a human. He is what is called a Kagami,” Nai-Ran explained as they continued to traverse the mountain paths, stopping every now and again to look for new ways to their destination. ”The spirits you’re referring to are what his kind prays to when they’re in a bind. The two inhabiting his body alongside him are Alith and Irith. They granted him strength in his time of need and continue to imbue him with their powers. If it weren’t for the two of them, he surely would have perished by now.”
There was a bit of sadness in the young woman’s voice as she recalled the memories she had experienced upon purchasing Emer’s contract. It may not have been an actual question Pieter had asked yet, but she felt that she should know why Emer had acted so coldly towards him. ”The thing about Kagami is that their race was enslaved by the Saiyans long ago. Emer actually spent most of his life in servitude to them, so please don’t blame him for lashing out at you like that. I believe all he sees of you is your tail for the moment...”
The wind picked up and blew past the both of them as they continued their trek. Luckily, Nai-Ran still had her blankets tied around her so she wasn’t nearly as chilly as she could have been. The temperature was certainly starting to drop though. The serpentine lass was starting to feel uncomfortable. ”If you don’t mind my asking, about how long do you think it will take to reach where we’re going?”

Pieter and Nai made their way down the windy path on the mountain. Nai had explained, so far, on what Emer was and why he seemed to get so pissed at Pieter. The saiyan looked down at his tail as she explained, thinking, "So it really is spirits in him that stayed alive so far? Their power is indeed vast, if they increase his strength so much... I think it really would be wise to keep my distance until I can figure out an ice breaker of sorts."
When the question of how much more of this travelling it'd take, Pieter replied, "It shouldn't take much longer. After we get you down to the forest area, we should be able to get there in ten minutes tops..."
Pieter stopped for a moment, looking in the direction he sensed Emer and Ukare. He turned and asked, "What do you think Ukare's gonna do to get Emer to come along? I know I'm out of place for saying this, but he needs to think rationally for the next week about his situation. He doesn't know this planet's environment well and, even if he is one of the strongest people I've felt out, he's a wounded dog who needs help!"
Pieter stepped across a sizable crag, turning and holding his hand out to help Nai step over... Or slither, in her case. She was still worn out from her own battles from earlier, so she herself would need assistance. He elaborated, "Well... I really should say we all are, but he's hurting the most. There's a phrase our tribe uses to describe people like him. It is, 'Uct sher vai na tu utradan bact, eun nec sa turall.' 'If men turn backs to their friends, they eat the trail,' is what it means."

“....” The accompanying Namek remained silent for the most part. Listening solely to the footsteps of the Kagami before him rather than looking directly at him. Instead, the green man decided to gaze down onto the equally green grass. Getting deep into thought. It was a tad weird to be paired up with someone who wasn't his Father nor a Namekian, being sent by a Saiyan and a woman fused with a snake as well.
His gaze averted upward, to reply rather late to his mission. His bare brow raised and his eyes searching from side to side. “Well..wh-what the..?” He grunted, not hearing Emer rise.
“Wh-where did you..?” Naroka Ukare searched frantically. His form spreading out and his head twisting from side to side quickly as he look for the silverhaired individual. “I-I can't believe I lost him..agh!” looking to his sides, the Namek simply dropped to his bottom. Grumbling something before looking again, yet to no avail. He swore under his breath, using his native tongue before attempting to speak to the much, much more powerful alien. “If you are still here..avishta. I'm Ukare, who are you mystery man?”

”To be honest, I’m not sure there’s anything he could do to get him to rejoin us. As I said, Emer’s got a long history with Saiyans. I’m honestly surprised that he allowed the two of them that had attacked us to just leave like that, even if the younger woman was so near death,” she commented, her voice lower than its usual tone. Normally Nai-Ran was the type to be optimistic about this, but she was still exhausted. She was also still worried about Emer’s unstable emotions. The way he was able to turn on those that had been trying to assist him like that had been frightening. She hoped it wouldn’t become a habit. Perhaps it was just a bad reaction to his sudden change in situation.
”I’m alright for the most part. I took a couple of strikes, but really I just need some sleep. My Serpentine Fury transformation saved me from quite a bit of damage, but I’m a long way from mastering it,” Nai-Ran spoke while stifling a yawn. It seemed like kind of a waste to just activate it whenever with how drained it always left her, but it was something she was probably going to have to start doing if she ever wanted to get used to it. Having it fail her in the middle of a fight like it had earlier that day wasn’t acceptable, and was something that would need to be dealt with.
”So, what brought you out to the Diablo Desert Pieter?” Nai-Ran asked as she grasped his hand, pulling herself across. Hopefully a change in topic would serve to brighten the mood a bit. Between their conversation so far, the gradually lowering temperature, and the day’s most prevalent events so far, she was starting to feel a bit on the gloomy side. Odd circumstances aside, she still wasn’t supposed to be frowning while in the presence of others. The young woman had an appearance to keep up. ” While I enjoy the heat and low humidity, I haven’t met very many people who wouldn’t be horribly uncomfortable in such an environment so far. It’s not exactly a place where it’s common for people to pass through, as far as I’ve seen.”

(In order to keep this moving, I'll be moving the thread along. My apologies in advance, Emer.)
"Well, in all honesty... I'm not quite sure how I ended up there," Pieter explained, "I mean, we had to cross an ocean to get over to this area in the first place, regardless of the direction we took. I must've had a brief, and extremely rare, moment where I had fallen asleep while running and must've ran Southwest back across it. When I awoke, I assumed I was in the Spinach Wastes."
Pieter moved along at Nai's side, noticing the glum appearance that she had as they moved... This environment must've been really taking a toll on her more-so than when she was using her Serpentine Fury, as she called it. It gave Pieter a moment to actually ask about her personally without it being awkward. He asked, rubbing his head with his right hand before moving it back to his chest to sooth it, "Uhm... I've actually been meaning to ask this, but before I do, I need to explain a little bit about we people of the, 'Monkeys of the Karinga,' first. Our respective relatives in different tribes have different stories about how the world was made, and that doesn't include our own. There's a legend about a Great Serpent, who created the world from fire, metal, water, and other sorts of elements. He shaped the world's inhabitants, creating mighty beasts, who with their enormous bodies, fine tuned the land and fertilized it with life. They were either giant snakes, bears, eagles, wolves, or any sort of real animal, but being that the creator of the world was a Serpent, snakes and reptiles have been viewed as more, 'glorified deities.' Now, if it is not rude of me to ask, are you one who is descended from one of these beings or perhaps a child of one?"
As he was explaining the story, the two would find themselves at the base of the mountain, where the path met the Earth's crust. Pieter, though, was fixed on Nai, awaiting her answer. It was an awkward thing to ask, but frankly, ever since he had fought two giant reptiles, who were both sentient and disturbingly villainous, he was left in a sort of, 'existential crisis,' so her response was very important to him!

Tentatively posting these, needs to be approved by Zasho Hirugetsu or @athren. (Sorry for stepping into Southern turf, I had already been working this one in training) Naroka earned 902 pl. Pieter earned 2998 pl with light weights which have since been sold. Nai earned 3368z rather than pl as requested in the c-box.
