Monster Form:
History:
Darc was born in Ocariin city, to two Kasvhar wizards that made it their business to seal monsters inside children, to fuse the primal with the sentient. The young Konatsian grew like a weed, and at the age of 10, he was apprenticed to the master swordsman, Garliad, that lived like a hermit on the outskirts of a large mountain nearby. The warrior was renowned throughout the land for managing to hold back a monster from destroying a large city, which was a feat that not many could lay claim to, especially with their own lips. From this warrior the young Darc would learn the basics of ki control, which he mastered quickly in only a couple of months. You couldn’t say that the two were close, but Darc eventually began to grudgingly respect his master.
Behind Darc’s seemingly normal existence, his parents toiled in misery. They were hated by their neighbors, as all non-alien Kasvar were, but there was little they could do about it. If they tried to run or flee from their superiors, they would be hunted down and slain by magics far greater than they could muster, even with their combined power. This was not to say that the pair were entirely blameless however, and while they didn’t really enjoy their secretive work, they didn’t argue when they were given a child and a monster to seal. They could have also fled their work, escaping into the endless mountains and rocky plains of the world.
At the age of 20, Darc had become a powerful fighter in his own right. There was one aspect of ki control that Darc had a hard time mastering, ki suppression, possibly out of his arrogance or teenage. This worried, Garliad how could Darc ever be an efficient fighter without learning how to properly manage his ki reserves? Garliad decided that the only way for the young Konatsian to truly learn this ability through his youthful pride was to force the warrior into a situation where the situation required for him to keep his head down. To this end, the swordsman sent into a city allegedly full of Kashvar wizards, just waiting for a subject to test on.
This was not the case
Darc arrived to find an empty and partly devastated city, with the only inhabitants being vermin. In a daze, he trudged through the city streets, trying to find some indication of what had happened. In the partially destroyed administrative center, Darc found a recording of the governor speaking of a war against a warrior named ‘Plato’, and also security footage of a gigantic monster battling against a small figure that matched it blow for blow!
Over the next couple of months, Darc ran from everyone and everything he knew, moving from city to city in a vain attempt to escape his grief. Then everything changed when Plato took control. He was blinded by rage, HOW DARE that murderer presume himself king? The Kashvar were bad, but intermingled among them were regular Konatsians, trying to make a living. Raging, Darc ran to a small mountain community where the tattered remains of the Kashvar hid, and begged them to give him the power to kill Plato. The wizards hid behind false smiles, and said they would help. They sealed a monster within him, hoping that with the return of fear of these creatures, their power would return! And this is where Darc Perbindesh’s story begins.
