A cool winter breeze billowed through the sacred lookout, as the sun steadily drifted above signifying the rise of midday. It had been a long while since Maeve Rakshasa, the guardian of this timeless place, had walked across the tiled surface in preparation to make a grand declaration. Her lightly glowing eyes had a look of utter peace and tranquility as she steadied her thoughts with her Serene Mind. The golden demon listened to the flow of the world around her, and took each step with it. She could hear echoes within the flow stretching far and wide throughout the world. Prayers, thoughts, desires, fears, the dull roar of everyone's minds was reduced to a choir of a few hearts and minds. Strong souls all seeking a way to rise above the chaff of mediocrity into the realm of impossibility. It was to them she would reach out to.
It was their prayers she would answer.
Two of her arms reached up above her head: a flicker of pure white light would burn in the palm in one hand, while an intense flame of inky blackness would rage in the other; each balanced in her grasp in a display of order and control. Two more hands would extend outward as if she were ready to embrace the world in her warm embrace while the final set of arms clasped together as if she were in a humble state of prayer.
"To those who pray for power..."
"...The power to protect those you love..."
"...The power to face the evils of this world and the next..." "The power...""...To make a difference."
Her voice spread out to reach the hearts of those who pray. A soft sweetness that would comfort their very soul: would embrace them before delivering her message. She opened her eyes as she steadily took a step by step toward the edge of the lookout. She peered out to the world below as she felt the brisk wind wrap around her. The chill didn't bother her one bit as she steadied her gaze toward the horizon.
"I am Maeve Rakshasa." She spoke aloud both to herself and the people she reached to.
"The Kami of this wonderful planet." She continued, smiling a bit as she looked with clarity toward the endless blue sky and sea of puffy clouds.
"I sense potential in each of you. Potential that can be used for good. If you wish to explore this potential, and wish to protect this wonderful world. Follow my voice and meet me at my sacred home." She ushered, an excited smile creeping on her face.
"We have much to do and I have much to show each of you...And for those who cannot hear my summons."
She extended her hands up, her aura of black and white erupted around her in a dazzling display. The two flames would grow brighter and brighter as new life was burning in each before the dragoness would lift them into the air. She watched with wonder as the light and dark ki merged before rupturing high above. The black and white mix would form a silvery star and a beacon for those curious. Whoever desired to follow the voice in their heart or the light in the sky were welcome to come atop the mystic platform...
...Should they be able to ascend 'Korin's Tower' of course.

As amar would walk around west city, she would hear the sound of a woman speaking calling out for her and others, she would turn asking a passerby if they heard it, they thought she was crazy she heard that we need to meet them at korin tower. it was an unknown place to her, Korin tower where is that she thought. She would start to walk to a library, to look for things about korin tower, she was told by the librarian there was little books about korin tower. As she moved towards the shelf holding the book named Cats in History, it would reveal information on korin a white cat that gives out senzu beans to travelers, in a tower in fortune tellers desert under kami's lookout. Oh boy she thought she was going to be trained by kami she thought, she was told stories about kami as a child the kami could summon the mighty dragonballs, and could increase people's power with water. Fortune tellers DesertAmar would fly the dunes of fortunetellers desert, She was hoping to get to the tower first as korin tower would come into vision she would speed up kicking up the sand as she would slow down at the steps of korin tower, she thought it would be appropriate to climb the many steps, instead of flying up. She thought slow and steady wins the race. She would ascend the tower the first 100 stairs and she started getting tired but she pushed on, she wanted to train with kami and become a powerful warrior. Amar would be buried in her thoughts as she would ascend the tower. And in no time she found out she was at the top but she was sweating, as she opens the door of the tower she would stand in korin tower and she would think whats next trying to communicate to the kami, even though she didnt have the ability to communicatethrough thoughts. She would stand in the tower waiting for a response or someone to walk out and greet her.

[Thread PL: 26,608, Heavy Weights On, Reduced PL: 6,652]
Kale suddenly awoke from what he believed to be a chimera. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, attempting to awaken completely from his slumber. The bed sheets felt cold against his skin while his shifted slightly. Words echoed within his mind; the words of the Kami of Earth. The Saiyan remained in his bed, sitting in an upright position while he mulled over what he heard in his sleep.
"The Kami?" Kale repeated aloud in a soft muse. Was this a coincidence? He thought back to when he initially visited Korin's tower. The day that he met Tomoyo and the Lookout's caretaker, Bing Gan. He remembered what Bing had said, that he had to climb Korin's tower to reach Kami's Lookout physically. To get to it in an easier manner such as flight would just be disrespectful.
Was this day the day that the Saiyan would finally meet the Kami of this planet? Kale believed so, deep down he knew that he would finally meet her. Especially after calling out the way that she did. A smile of confidence grew on Kale's face. "Looks like I'd better get going, then."
Once Kale was dressed and ready to go, he stepped outside of his home and took to the air with haste so that he could reach the tower with great urgency. Within a half hour, Kale finally reached the massive structure that he became familiar with weeks ago. Only this time, the Saiyan would start at the bottom of the tower. Lowering himself to the ground that was covered by blades of grass, Kale walked right up to the tower's column that stood betwixt beautiful tall trees and a single teepee hut.
Now that Kale had arrived, he was taking in the tower that pierced the heavens in wonderment. The stone tower had so much detail to it. It must have been around for some time, being that the structure appeared slightly worn. He didn't want to waste away the day by staring at the tower, now. It was time for him to climb. "Okay, here I go!" After removing and capsulizing his heavy weights, bent his knees to lowered himself slightly toward the ground, preparing to jump.
Releasing the metaphorical spring in his legs, Kale vaulted himself a great distance toward the sky! It was certainly a good head-start. The tower was blurred as the Saiyan whizzed past the structure. After a few minutes, his vertical journey was coming to a halt. Then, Kale came to a momentary hover. It was then that he grasped the tower to hang onto it. By his judgment, he was roughly one-quarter of the way up. The Saiyan proceeded to climb, more so vaulting himself up the tower than physically climbing it, and he eventually reached Korin's Tower.
Once his feet were firmly on the tile of the building, he reminisced about his last visit to this particular place of the world. But, he was slightly saddened, seeing that all of the furniture that was owned by Tomoyo was now missing. This only caused him to remember hearing about the boy's death. It was a shame that somebody so young had to lose their life. He sighed and attempted to shrug off the feeling of sorrow. There was no point in mourning a death. Instead, he believed that he should celebrate their life.
Kale now had to decide how exactly he would reach Kami's lookout. According to Bing Gan, the Lookout rested above Korin's tower. "Well, the climb is complete. But is there another tower?" He asked to no one but himself. The Saiyan hovered off of the ground and flew out of the entrance of the tower's building so that he could get a better look at the situation. Lo and behold, he saw an even larger structure up above him. Except there were no means of getting up there. He smiled to himself with confidence. "Looks like the only way is to fly. I've already climbed this far up, so there must be no harm in it!"
The Saiyan made a bee-line for Kami's Lookout. He couldn't help but look at the edifice in wonderment. Soon enough, Kale reached the top of the lookout and landed on the circular floor. The Saiyan noticed the beautiful square tiles. "Huh. All of these squares make a circle." Kale looked about, walking for a moment as he attempted to locate the source of the voice. He stopped and placed his hands on his hips, being slightly confused. He figured that the palace up ahead must be where the voice originated from. Kale decided that that was where he would go.

(Continued from a solo I'm working on)
Big Train heard the Kami's voice ring out in his head. The moment he had been waiting for, celestial training. "Now it's time to go up, and I'm sure you and your buddy can fly up there now" the rabbit zoan would say. "Let's do this, baby!" Big Train would bark out in excitement. The zoan and Big Train were standing inside of Korin's tower.
When Big Train got here, It looked like nobody had been home for a long time, it was in a bit of a sorry state. After Big Train had climbed up the tower, after getting zapped down a couple of times, he found this rabbit zoan named Harriet. The zoan refused to answer most of Big Train's questions and only told him that he wasn't ready for training under the Kami, and that Big Train had to train under her first.
But now he had passed the zoan's trial, and coincidentally enough, the Kami's voice came to him soon after. Big Train waved to Harriet, "Thanks for training me, Harriet". The Zoan waved back as Big Train whistled out into the sky around the tower. "Don't mention it kid, good luck on your training with kami". As the zoan finished her words, Arco, the 20 foot tall chimera like beast, swooped up to the deck of Korin's tower.
Big Train would climb onto his best friend's back and give Harriet one final wave as the two took off. They ascended upwards towards Kami's lookout. "Strong like your father" Harriet would chuckle once Big Train had left. They soared through the sky until the platform was in view. The first thing Big Train noticed was the dazzling light beaming from above the lookout.
With one final gust of his wings, Arco flung the pair over the lip and onto the top of Kami's lookout. Big Train dismounted Arco and the two walked deeper into the platform towards the palace that lied up ahead. The palace was basked in the light of the silvery star overhead. "Hh-hello?" he would call out as he drew close. Arco would let out a small whimper.

<< Previous ThreadTHE ANSWER TO THOSE WHO PRAY
'....I don't know if you can hear me. Or if you even, well, exist.'
Chai knelt down, his furry white paws clasped together in a state of prayer. His eyes were shut tight as he mused to himself, quietly in prayer. Truth be told, Chai wasn't sure why he was doing this, but who else could he even talk to right now? There was Guardia, but Chai was sure the sword was tired of listening to him ramble. Guardia spoke highly of some supposed kais and kamis of the sort that ranked high above the mortals of this world- having heard tales of the "gods" above. Chai wasn't sure if a divine being existed anymore. If one did exist, they would have stopped the atrocities in his world. If a god existed, they would have saved everyone. But... Chai was still alive, wasn't he? It was a miracle he was still here. As hopeful as he was, Chai was willing to put what hope he had left in these divine beings.
'Thank you. Thank you for allowing my heart to continue beating, even after everything that has happened.' The goat mused in his mind, recalling when Collan was killed by his world's Bing, followed by many more. He recalled nearly perishing so many times, always escaping by the skin of his teeth. 'If I had a dime for every time where I should have been the one to die...' The goat thought glumly, lowering his clasped hands for a moment before shaking his head and regaining his focus. '...I ask for you to bless me with the strength to continue training and growing stronger, and to help me carry the weight of my comrades' burdens.' As a leader, Chai was forced with the burdens and hopes of all of the Crimson Strikers. He had to keep their hopes high for another day, which he only managed to accomplish with a stroke of luck when he found the plans for the universe-hopping Perdiem.
'I know it's selfish of me to ask for this, but I need to become strong. I need to return to my home to restore peace.' Chai thought silently, gritting his now bared teeth. Reminiscing on the dying cries of his comrades when the Special Forces invaded their base, their joy when they found a way of escape, their despair when it was all taken away... Their hopes, their burdens, even now, they were all counting on Chai to save them. 'It's all on my shoulders, still. They're all counting on me, their sole emissary to escape death.' Chai spoke. So many sacrificed their lives just so he could be here. Cerci, Hinawa, Collan... Sighing, the goat shook his head and concluded his prayer. 'So please, I ask of you to help me on this journey. Help me carry the weight of my comrades. Help me save them, like they saved me so many times before.'
Chai finished his silent prayer with a sigh, looking down at the ground with a glum expression. What was the point of all this? Before he could sulk any longer, a voice would echo inside the goat's head? Guardia? No-- this was someone else! With his prayer answered, Chai would look up at the blue sky of noon, trying to decipher a source for the voice he heard. To those who prayed for power, the power to protect the ones they loved, the power to face the evils of this world and the next, and the power... to make a differance. Chai gripped the fabric over his heart, staring up at nothing in particular in shock. It was almost like this voice was meant for him! He wanted that power! He wanted to make a difference! He wanted to save his world! Clenching his fists for a moment, his surging determination calmed as the mystery voice introduced itself as Maeve Rakshasa- the Kami of the Earth! What do you know- Guardia wasn't crazy after all!
Maeve spoke once more in Chai's mind, speaking of the potential in each and every being she managed to reach out to. And all Chai had to do was follow her voice in order to explore his potential and protect this world, and his own! With the Kami's conclusion, Chai spotted a glimmering light in the sky above. Not concerned with the fact that he couldn't fly, the goat bounded off towards the light, determined to meet this supposed Kami and become more capable of protecting his own world!
After bounding through the woods for some time, the goat came to a screeching halt in front of a tall tower. Staring up, he could see the light from the Kami glimmering above like a night star. Well, if he couldn't fly up to it... the goat from another world would just climb up this tower! Determined as ever, Chai would tap on the scabbard wrapped around his waist, earning a quick telepathic groan from his partner. 'Uuuuurrrghh.... Five more minutes, please....' Guardia chimed telepathically with a moan, shifting around in his sheath. "Guardia, now's not the time! We're gonna meet the Kami!" Guardia peeked out of his sheath, speaking in a strained and shocked tone. 'Wait, what?'
That was enough to get Guardia's attention. Floating out of his sheath, the sword looked up at the tower, than at Chai. 'Okay, what the fuck happened while I was asleep?' The blade questioned. "Long story short, the Kami somehow contacted me telepathically, and if we get to that light up there, we'll get training!... Or something!" Chai spoke, earning a concerned, narrowed eye from his partner. Clearly, the sword was questioning his partner's sanity. A godly voice choosing him of all people? Training with a KAMI? Unlikely. "Why don't you head up there yourself if you need to see to believe, G?" Chai spoke, a smug smile on his face. 'You know what? I will! Be right baaaaack!' And with that, the sword took off to the skies, quickly soaring up the tower.
While Chai began to climb Korin's Tower, a saiyan that arrived might have seen the goat quickly hopping from ledge to ledge, gripping onto the numerous carvings and nooks on the tower. Amar would see something wizz by outside the Tower, but Guardia didn't stop there! The light was still shining further above! Piercing the clouds, Guardia spun forwards and came to a halt to see a magnificent structure seemingly floating in the air! Staring agape for a moment, the sword shook his form and dove down, his form coated in a rainbow light before he landed on the ground of Kami's Lookout, hopping around like a possessed pogo-stick. Glancing around, the sword quickly caught eye of one individual on the Lookout. 'Oi!' The sword would echo telepathically in Maeve's mind, floating over to the fellow demon. The sword tilted his form like a head, speaking to the strange woman in a confused and questioning tone. 'My partner was ramblin' about some Kami callin' him to this tower. You... wouldn't happen to know of such a person or event, would you?' After a moment, the sword would turn around and recoil back upon seeing Big Train on the back of some giant beast!! Eye widening in shock and a tad of fear for a moment, the sword shook his form and returned his attention to Maeve, awaiting a response.

[Thread PL: 65,183] "HOW STOP THING!?"EGG had never flown in a space pod before, so when he was reaching the Earth again, he was at a loss at how to stop the flying space sphere. Pressing every button he could see, yet none of them was going to stop the space pod. So this was how Brisk felt when his ship was crashing into the city. Though, from what he could see, it was going to be much better as he was landing in the desert where... Wait a minute, he recognized that tower... HE CLIMBED THAT THING TWICE ALREADY! That tower in the middle of the desert! And it seemed that, at this rate, he would crash into it... "OH FECES!"EGG shouted as loudly as possible, the little tennenman within the pod having the sudden realization that he was going to destroy what could be considered someone's home. Though, the last time he was there, other than the saiyan guy who was there to try and find the owner of the tower, no one was here. Thank goodness as no one would be in da-
"To those who pray for power..."
"...The power to protect those you love..."What? A voice was permeating throughout his mind... What was this he was hearing? Shaking his head, EGG started to continue pressing as many buttons as possible, trying to steer the pod away from the tower, hoping to not crash into it...
"...The power to face the evils of this world and the next..."
"The power..." "...To make a difference."
"I am Maeve Rakshasa."
"The Kami of this wonderful planet."
No matter what, EGG could not rid himself of the thoughts that were echoing throughout his mind would not go away... The more he listened, the more he was starting to learn more about the owner of this tower. Though he knew not of what a Kami was, he knew that this person must have been important if she was trying to contact the people of Earth. However, his body would freeze on a particular line that this Maeve Rakshasa said...
"... If you wish to explore this potential, and wish to protect this wonderful world. Follow my voice and meet me at my sacred home." It was not for show, as he could hear her voice growing louder the closer he came to the tower. And remembering the stories told about the tower, a sacred place, it would take a complete moron to not put two and two together. This was really bad. EXTREMELY BAD! The cerulean and fuschia tennenman was unable to figure out how to maneuver around in that space pod, meaning that he had to resort to a last-ditch effort.
Closing his own eyes and concentrating, EGG mustered up all of the energy he had within him, though not tapping into his full power due to his worries in using too much power, not wanting to lose control like he did back at the tournament. Just what he was able to draw out at this moment would be enough to keep himself from creating damage. Creating a hollow sphere of ki in his hands, EGG smiled as he was glad he would be able to prevent any damage. Slamming the ball between his hands, he popped the little orb out of existence, before it exploded around him, enveloping himself and the space pod in a golden ki.
Though the burning metal was extinguished, the speed of the space pod was much greater than the space ship he stopped way back when, thus he could not prevent himself from the inevitable crash that was to come. Closer and closer it came, before it impacted into the lookout, landing right between a floating blade and the demon Kami herself, Maeve Rakshasa, before the ki of his orb was able to push himself up and away, practically bouncing like a rubber bouncing ball, sending himself barrelling off of the lookout and down into the desert below.
Though bouncing once on the tower, EGG's pod would crash into the sandy dunes below, practically splitting apart now that EGG's barrier faded away. Completely cracked open in half, EGG was sent flying out of the pod, flying away from the impact force due to the small explosion created, sending the creature back to the tower. Skidding across the sand, EGG would land a good twenty meters away from Chai, the saibaman looking slightly damaged, but none to worse for the wear.
Laying in the sand, breathing deeply with a bit of exhaustion in him, he would feel the spirit Chai next to him, a person he was all to easy to recognize. Lifting an arm up, he tried to wave towards him, saying while trying to regain his own stamina, "H-Heeeey Chai. How doin' buddy?"
[MP3] Diamond EGG Barrier used, used to soften landing and bounce off of the lookout, narrowly avoiding Maeve and Guardia, but dissipated as EGG hurtled back down to the Earth. KP - 3/3 ~> 0/3

[Thread PL= 1,250 PL] [Heavy Weights On =312 PL]
Neato wasn't really one to desire strength, or Protect others. He was just an average skeleton with a desire for pizza and friends. So when Maeve's message went out it fell deaf on the skeleton. He had been in West Capitol for the day, trying out their various food places when Maeve's Light show of a beacon appeared. He, like many others, looked up at it in awe. It was beautiful whatever it was. To some it was a mystery, to others a beacon. To Neato, it meant a chance to make a new friend. He narrowed his eyes, getting determined and nodded to himself. Quickly he headed off to a general goods store, and after a quick exchange, headed towards the tower, a gift basket full of various cookies and other baked goods in his hands. Finding the tower was a cinch, All he had to do was skate board towards the beacon, until he reached the tower. Once he got there he stopped and looked up. "WOWIE!" He exclaimed. "Thats a long climb! And not a rope to be found. No stairs or ladder...." The skeleton looked about a frown clear on his boney face. He tapped a foot before snapping. "A normal skeleton would just pack it up and leave, but I am no normal skeleton! I am Neato Skeletino! And I wont leave this place until I've made a Friend! Even if that means I must climb this tower!"Neato picked up his skateboard and capsuled it, before placing that away in his jacket pocket. He put the basket in his mouth, keeping a firm grip on it's handle before he hopped onto the Tower, taking hold of it as best as he could. He'd begin his climb. Up and up and up. It took him a while, and he almost dropped the basket a few times. After about an hour of climbing he reached the top and climbed inside of Korin's Home. He placed the basket down on the stairs and panted, bending over to catch his breath. "I-I am not tired tower!' He panted. "Merely winded!" He pulled off his baseball cap and wiped his forehead before picking up the basket. He'd make his way up the stairs and hold out the gift basket. "Hello frie-..." He blinked noting no one was around and frowned. "Is this not the right place? Could I have been mistaken?" He thought for a few moments before he walked out the side and looked up. He narrowed his eyes and brought a hand up to keep the sun's glare out of his eye sockets. He noted the Lookout and blinked. "How did I miss that?" He asked, mostly to himself before hopping up on the top of the tower's roof. He stared up at the lookout and tapped his foot. How was he going to get up there? Again not a rope in site and such. He pondered and thought before an idea hit him. "I know!" He said snapping his fingers.
"Oh King of Booooooones~" He called out. There was some sort of groan that was heard, before a large portal appeared behind Neato. A massive Skeletal hand came from it and grabbed Neato, before chucking him upwards. Neato, whom was shrieking on his way up, zoomed right past the lookout's edge. He'd fall back down to the Lookout's tiles and smash into it, sending his bones every which way. His skull hit the ground and rolled, all the way over to Maeve and the group, as the basket of baked goods landed on where his ribs landed. A few moments would pass before the bones would swirl together and Neato would reform, clothes and all. He shook himself off and approached the group, holding the basket out. "Hello friends!" He said in a jovial tone. "I am Neato Skeletino! And I am here to be your friend!" He stated that last bit rather matter of factly before offering up the basket. "Please accept this basket of Baked Goods as a sign of our new friendship!"

Amar would hear voices faint voices from the lookout oh my gosh she thought, she confused korin tower for the lookout she facepalmed at this she would open up the door ascending up to the lookout, as she went up the stairs she seen the Skelton with the gift basket. All she seen was the snacks, she would run towards the Skelton saying "I'll take that" She was wouldn't give the skeleton a chance to respond, and she would jerk the basket out of his hands if it would come out she would walk up to the tower ignoring the Skelton after. Amar was hungry after the climb if her tug wouldn't work she would simply groan and walk away continuing Her way to the the kami. As she would walk in to the lookout she would yell "Oh kami!" She was eager to train with the kami.

The Answer To Whose Who Pray Thread PL: 600 OOC: HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER! Worked really hard on this one to try and set a tone for Victoria's character as a whole. I would appreciate any feedback in regards to it! Thank you for your time!
Victoria Grace D’Arvoire was not a woman of faith, not religion. Victoria saw faith as complacency with the world — a passive way to simple hope that other hands would take the reins and usher in change. Religion was another problem for her. She believed there were multiple levels to all of reality — realms with beings that hold enough power to have uncontestedly risen to levels in which they could claim themselves deities. She didn’t see fit to worship imperfect beings. In her mind, the only fathomable thing to worship was something whole, something perfect. Not something that was another fallible thing who simply took the quickest path to power.
This wasn’t to say she wasn’t spiritual — she was a witch, after all. Mysticism, harmony, and the dichotomy yin & yang — of forces — is what she studied for her communal with the magical aether.
In other words, Victoria didn’t pray; she listened — to the universe, always. Her eyes remained opened to omens, hints as to what good fortune and fate attempted to sway close enough to her path.
Listening to the universe was hard when you were knee deep in paperwork.
“Oh, Victoria, dear — this is your last case as a firm-employed Attorney-At-Law; you absolutely must make it a good one! Go out with a bang, love; burn bright! Pick a challenging case! Put your name down among our most successful employees!” The woman found herself mocking in a hitch pitched voice. Sadly, that mockery only served to serve to further put her down — she was, after all, the one who listened to all that hooey.
Listening to her soon-to-be ex-coworkers is why Victoria found herself cramped in her modest hovercar, papers strewn over her lap, the third cup of coffee steaming in the cup holder, while two empty ones had already gone in the garbage compactor. And, adding insult to injury, a two flyaways could be glimpsed atop her head every time she peeked up at the rear view mirror.
Listening to the universe was harder when you were an over stressed mother.
While filling out reports and having to go out on a field examination herself was tiring, trying question witnesses so far off the grid it was possible they never even heard of a phone was damn near exhausting.
At least she had to thank modern technology to be able to do all of this; with autopilot on the woman was able to cruise the skies at a leisurely pace, getting through the bureaucratic pile of work while en-route to a remote indigenous tribe she had to ‘interview’. Even while attempting to focus on her work a nagging voice chimed in at the back of the caffeinated mother, pinging her to check in on her daughter. Sure, she was at school… But recess would be coming in soon; a call to see if she was doing well couldn’t hurt. Especially if those nasty little ratchet inner-city children were still picking on her — Victoria had half a ming to hex them with something nasty!
Well, maybe not too nasty — maybe a bad hair day curse… Or maybe a hole-in-sock curse with increased probability of stepping in something wet when they have their socks on! No -- no, that wouldn’t be good; it was winter, after all, Victoria wouldn’t want any kids to get a cold — or frostbite because of her… But, still, something to hopefully get them to leave her own little munchkin alone.
Placing the pen in her right hand down on the gloomy grimoire and paperwork it held at her lap, the woman’s dainty hand reached out for the aforementioned coffee. It was brought over her chest, where her hands cupped around it; focusing on its warmth and the invigorating scent of caffeine, Victoria attempted to get a hold of her herself — strike her balance again so she could return to work in a collected, efficient manner. A little coffee break is exactly what she needed.
Behind her elegant glasses, Victoria found her eyes closing to get some respite.
Oddly enough, despite her shuteye, a brilliant light flooded her system. The drained witch flinched, shying away until the light faded enough that she was confided in opening her eyes; thankfully that didn’t take long, as the glow faded as quickly as it had arrived. She was greeted with a beautiful twinkle of a silvery star yonder in the midday sky. Its light danced, creating a holy, crepuscular show through the wispy cloud layer she traversed, that ensnared the witch.
Like a moth drawn to a flame, Victoria found herself changing the course of her autopilot just a hair — just enough to make that silvery light her new destination. Something about its glow seemed benign. Or, at the very least, certainly not malevolent. Out of curiosity alone, she was more than happy to pen-in that mysterious radiant glow to her little ‘coffee break’ schedule.
Thankfully, Miss Grace arrived at the scene quickly enough that she wouldn’t kick herself for cutting down on productivity. The hovercar broke through a puft of cloud, giving way to a strange sight.
‘You know,’ The woman found herself thinking; eyes squinting as she attempted to confirm what she saw, ‘I don’t remember ‘giant flying base’ on the list of tourist attractions for the Western Frontier…’
Her eyes focused on the unmoving, eloquent platform of white tiles and meticulously placed trees that hovered somewhere above the vast majority of clouds.
“Well,” She murmured, “It’s certainly beauti--” Her voice stopped — IMMEDIATELY, and her skin began to crawl as though she had been in the middle of a forest covered in honey. Her pupils constricted as she took note of the surface of the strange platform.
“H-how do all those squares make a circle?!” Demanded the OCD-stricken mother.
The hovercar soon found itself setting down near some of the neatly-planted tree plots. She saw no parking signs, so the fear of getting a ticket was currently not present. From what she could tell there was some kind of gathering taking place — and that was when disappointment and a hint of annoyance began to settle in.
Is that what was happening here? Some group of friends decided to get together and set off fireworks?
An exasperated sigh escaped her lips. Victoria exited the car, smoothing out her short, black pencil skirt and adjusting her white office shirt. With her coffee cup in hand, the woman reached up to adjust her glasses. She tucked her grimoire beneath her left arm and got moving.
Her heels began to clack against the ivory tiles, as she brought herself closer to the group. She was already here; she might as well socialize a bit, get to know just what this place was — how it hovered, and what the hell that bright light was. Both of those subjects were, without a doubt, of magical origin.
That’s when it hit her! C-could this be a coven gathering?! Her painted lips tugged into the eager smile of a woman who desperately missed gossip and small talk; her pace quickened as she took note of the figures that were yonder.
Some kind of floating blade — not the kind of imagery that was unfamiliar to witches, although that kind of magic wasn’t something she was very fond of. The more primal shamanistic ways didn't appeal to her more refined practices.
A skeleton. Necromancy. Maybe coming here was a mistake — necromancers were often one of the creepiest, least flattering magus one could come across.
She also saw a woman — she looked old, human enough to be a practitioner... Although the armor and scouter certainly branded her as 'saiyan'; if a saiyan had the finesse and intelligence to use magic then Victoria might as well be a baboon... So maybe this wasn't a coven gathering... So, what was it?
It wasn’t until she saw the mostly nude, massive hunk of a man; just as much fat as muscle spilling out from over the edges of his fear. Tight elbow pads, a mask, with unnecessarily snug pink shorts and a bright star on his crotch that she had to stop completely and re-evaluate her decisions.
Was this one of those parties? If a whip broke at any point in this event she was going to make a beeline for her car and act like this entire thing never happened. This wouldn’t be the first gathering she drunk to forget.
That sight alone was enough to overshadow just about everything else present — including the absolutely elegantly dressed woman who, for some reason, reminded Victoria of a golden zodiac dragon… Although her choice in wear was absolutely divine.

(G'Day, guys! I'll be an onlooker/support for this thread!) (Thread PL: 166,997) (Current PL: 83,498.5) "Gotta pick up the pace..!"A blur would go right by the first two people that were rushing up the tower of Korin, the blur moving as though it were a missile! The form reached the precipice, becoming level with the platform, and rushing over. This large blur had been Pieter, who'd been earnest to arrive. In his large arms, Pieter had two plastic boxes, with paper bags of food and younger kids clothes. He was panting, as he waved to Maeve and told her, sounding a tad petered, "Got some stuff for today... And some gifts for your kid, too..! Ech! I'm gonna put these things down and we'll get to it later. I take it that the message has been sent?"[/color] Before Pieter could get a answer, though, the voices of not just 1, but 3 voices greeting the Kami, and then there was a ship that looked as though it picked up this location and simply landed here! The hunter could only blink in astonishment, before looking at Maeve, and muttered, as if he were discouraged by what he'd just seen, "I'm... Gonna go put this stuff inside."The hunter looked floated inside, becoming silent, but slack jawed all the same. A pretty human woman in a spacecraft, a skeleton with rather delightful manners, a masked wrestler, and another saiyan with a sort of tomboyish but pretty mom look showed up within only a few minutes... Or was he just that late?! Pieter put the two plastic crates down inside a room close the entrance of the main palace-like structure! He'd then make his way out, standing at the end of the awning and leaning on one of the pedestals with arms crossed and a smile on his face. Yet, his eyebrows were furrowed, as he wasn't too sure what Maeve would be having them work with! Frankly, he didn't have to do much with Scargot. Pieter thought to himself, "Frankly, Bing's done more work since then, but I wonder what Maeve'll have in store for these guys?"Then came up a familiar floating sword, whose power seemed unrestrained as Pieter last recalled! The Hunter walked over at this point, expecting to see the sword's owner not too long after. To it, Pieter gave it a simply wave, before becoming silent and standing to the left of the gold dragon-esque Kami, hands on his hips as he looked at each of them. That woman who arrived in the ship, though, seemed as though they were lost, and frankly seemed misplaced, currently. Yet, the hunter wouldn't acknowledge that unless the issue came up! (And with that... I am here! ) (Current pl, weighted: 83,498.5)

[Thread Power Level: 15,171]
Sala finally approached the Sacred Land of Korin. For the last few months, she'd searched for the Timeless Lookout.
First, she started heading in the most "timeless" direction. To her, that meant east, since when she thinks about old stuff, she thinks about the east and all those old pyramids and deserts. That led her to Diablo Desert, then to Mount Paozu.
After that, she remembered that Maeve said the Lookout was on a tower. So she figured she'd head up pretty high and go as far north as she could, since north was up on the compass and on maps. So she reached the Jingle Village region, and there was a really old tower there, but Maeve wasn’t home and she eventually figured out she was probably in the wrong place.
Frustrated, she headed to the nearest city (North Capitol) and looked up a map. That didn't help, she had no idea how to make heads or tales of Earth's geography because she never really paid attention to it in school. After eating a lot and sleeping some more, she started to wish she could simply talk to Maeve again and get directions — or just have her lead her to where she was meant to go!
And then it hit her! Maeve was Kami now! And what does a Kami do? They answer prayers. And so she knelt down in the middle of Gizard Wasteland (where her hopeless wandering brought her) and prayed atop one of the rocky spires.
"Oh Kami-Maeve," she began, "I, uh, forgot where you said your place was! Oh, and hope you’re doing well! I'm really lost, I think, but I'm doing good! How's your kid? I bet you had him already — or her! What was I saying? Um… Right! Directions? I don’t know where I'm going anymore. I think I'm near Yahhoy. Also, if you’re listening, I pray for lots and lots of sweets. Cookies and chocolates and those little gummy candies with the juice filling! I love those! Pretty peas! Love you, bye bye, amen!"
And, oddly enough, the prayer seemed to have a reaction… or something like it. She heard Maeve speak across the world and her ear-hole-thingies twitched. Her eyes widened and brightened as she listened to Maeve’s call and immediately took off in the direction of the voice as fast as she could.
As she approached, giggling happily to herself, she saw something high, high up in the sky. Higher than she’d ever flown and surrounded by a thick wall of clouds below. A silvery star glittered high above as a beacon that even the directionally-challenged Majin couldn’t miss.
She dived into the clouds and began flying upwards… and was immediately struck a couple of times with lightning. It hurt, but her rubbery body absorbed much of the damage until she finally reached the bottom of the lookout, her clothing charred and blackened by the electric shocks. Soon, she reached the top of the platform — the Timeless Lookout.
There were already a few people gathered there, but Sala didn’t seem to notice or care about them at all. Instead, her eyes locked right onto Maeve who… looked very different from what she remembered, but smelled the same and was still lizard-y enough to register as Maeve to her. She immediately charged towards the Kami with her arms outstretched, crying out, "Maeve! Maeve! Maeve! Maeve! I’m here! I made it! Finally! Oh my you, I made it!"

The dragoness watched in alarm as the lookout began to fill with faces of all kinds.(As well as a ship that seemed to ping of the surface and hit the earth below.) In the span of minutes people from all over the world had heeded the Kami's call and had filed their way into the sacred lookout. One after another they stood before her. From the towering mass of wrestler to the floating sword of mystic origin. It seemed everyone that gathered was interested in learning from her. While in the past their gazes would have caused her to flush and stammer: she couldn't deny the swell of pride she felt brewing in her chest as she gazed back at the crowd. Her gaze lingered on each person for their own amount of time before she finally settled upon the mystic blade that had questioned her. She parted her lips to respond only to be practically tackled by the Majin.
The unfortunate goddess felt her balance slip at the loving hug. As the Majin sprung up to embrace and cling to her she would press the poor dragoness' face into her chest. Any sense of decorum and grace would falter as the girl's face heated up in a flush and all six of her arms flailed like mad. "S-Sala g-get off!" She stammered, turning her arms attention to try and pry the stretchy girl off. After a moment of tug of war she'd finally free herself and sigh, her cheeks and ear tips nearly permanently stained red as a result of the ordeal. "I-It's good to see you Sala but I kind of need to address the audience I've accumulated. We can catch up in a more private setting okay?" She asked with a smile while moving two hands down to clasp over the majin's own hands giving them a reassuring squeeze.
She cleared her throat, while giving her tail a flick as she once again turned to address the crowd. "I apologize." She bowed her head, giving her headfins a flick before continuing. "To those of you who have found the Lookout. I welcome you. I am known as Maeve Rakshasa, and I am indeed the guardian of this planet. You may address me as Kami if you'd like." She smiled crossing her arms and standing tall. "I assume each of you came to this spot in answer to my summons..." She said looking to Big Train, Kale, and Chai's Blade "...Or you have stumbled here by chance." She said instead looking to Sala, Neato, and Victoria. "Either way if you so desire: I shall test you to see if you are worthy of training here upon my Sacred Home."

Kale stood in complete awe as he laid his coal colored eyes upon the one who was known as Kami. In the Saiyan's mind, this draconian woman before him was indeed a god; a person that dedicated their life to protecting and caring for an entire planet was more than deserving of that title. Kale looked on with wonderment filling him like a well. If anyone could help him become a true protector, Kami had to be the perfect candidate.
One by one, more individuals arrived on the Lookout. Never before had Kale witnessed such a gathering of different backgrounds since the invasion of the Saiyan Solar Empire. Furthermore, each appeared to have arrived due to Kami's prayer. That told the Saiyan that all of these people were like him, in the sense that they wanted to do good for the world. At least, he hoped that was the case.
Maeve's words instilled a sense of importance within Kale. The very notion that she would consider him as a potential student caused him to feel joy and determination. He waited in silence with the others until the Kami finished speaking to them. It was at this time that the Saiyan would respond.
"It is a great honor to meet you, Kami," Kale began. "My name is Kale. Since I arrived on Earth, my goal has been to become one if the great protectors of the planet. I was a part of the initial Saiyan invasion. But I took no lives. Once I arrived, I made the decision to live here and become a defender of the people in case another invasion or great threat were to arise. If you are willing to teach, then I am ready to learn."

Post by Big Train on Jan 31, 2017 2:58:20 GMT
Big Train continued further into the lookout until he saw a lone figure. ‘It must be the Kami’ the Big Train thought. He continued forward, approaching the dragon demon known as Maeve. Arriving just in time to see the rest of the hopeful students LITERALLY bounce in. But before noticing any of that, he would see the Kami for the first time. He was kind of expecting the Kami to look more… human? But he wasn’t complaining, Big Train thought that the demon woman looked cool.
Any minor doubts would be shoved aside after one quick reading of Maeve’s power level. It confirmed that she must indeed be the Kami. What a majestic being. Was she a god? She must truly be wise and powerful, her regal exterior was unflappable- did she just get booby blasted? A majin woman sprang up out of nowhere to tackle the Kami, burying her face into her chest. The Kami was visibly flustered but it seems that the two are friends.
Quickly dismissing the embrace, the great Kami then addressed the gathering crowd. She spoke of a test that she would admister to the gathering crowd of globe trotting warriors. A test to see if they were to be granted her special training. Big Train was game, it’s what he came here to do after all. Everyone had to know the legends of the Kami and how her training could amplify one’s power. Big Train wasn’t looking for short cuts in order to gain power, he wanted to earn it. So this test seemed perfect to him. The main reason he was here was to improve and learn. The eager teen would fist pump into the air and shout out, “Let’s do this!”. He was clearly excited to be here.

"Chai's Dialogue" 'Guardia's Telepathy' "Chai's Telepathy' 'Guardia's Thoughts' 'Chai's Thoughts'
<< Previous ThreadTHE ANSWER TO THOSE WHO PRAY A whole lot began to happen at once. Chai could feel energies gathering on the peak of the tower, causing him to furrow his brow. Was Guardia okay up there? Most of the energies felt relatively peaceful as they congregated in the skies above, easing the zoan's tense nerves a little. Suddenly, a faint whistle of air began to tingle inside the goat's ears. What was that noise? It sounded like... something falling? No-- someone! Just as Chai was getting a read on the falling entity, the goat would let out a quick yelp when a spacepod rammed into the ground, cracking open like an egg to reveal... EGG!
Eyeing his friend that fell from the stars with mild suspicion, Chai was just glad to see the pink and blue plant man was alright, despite seeming quite winded from the fall. Quick to greet his friend with a "hello" and a "how are you," Chai would let out a quick huff of air before hopping down from his position on the tower and speak in response. "Doing well over here. Although you could be in better shape... What happened? Are you alright?" Chai spoke, crouching down onto one knee near EGG, extending out his hand to help the tennenman up, should he accept the goat's aid.
Should the saibaman take the goat's furry hand, the goat zoan would try to help EGG back to his feet. Looking down at the saibaman for a moment, Chai's gaze would follow the tower, with no end in sight... "Geez, that thing is tall." The goat spoke to himself more than anyone, narrowing his eyes and putting a palm over them to try to make out the top of the long tower, but to no avail. No stairs, no rope, just a few carvings of various people and creatures on the side to latch onto. This was not going to be easy- by the time Chai reached the top without the ability to fly, it would probably be nighttime already!
The goat from another universe considered asking Guardia to come give him a boost with his telekinesis, but figured the sword was busy chatting with the supposed Kami atop. "...This is going to be a looong climb... Say, did you hear a voice in your head from the Kami also?" Chai questioned, tilting his head to the side and speaking to EGG. Staring back up the tower, Chai could only ponder what was going on atop with Guardia...
Guardia's head began to spin when more and more people began to show up. Before anyone else intruded, the sword would have a narrow encounter with EGG's spacepod, which crashed down to the ground below. Letting out a quick yelp, the sword would fly into the air with a wide eye, watching as the pod crashed down to the ground. '...Well. That happened. Anyways...!' Guardia continued, yet more began to show up. Neato, the skeleton that helped Chai awhile back, bearing gifts that made Guardia's non-existant mouth water. Baked goods of all kinds! If he had a mouth still, Guardia would be digging in right now. However, the sword's pupil shrank in anger and shock when some dimwit tried to snag the bag out of the skeleton's hands. 'Hey! Are you going to share, you nimwitted arsehole?!' The sword barked, floating over to Amar and speaking in a growl.
It wasn't long before Guardia's attention drifted once more, floating away from Collan's mother regardless of her response. A seemingly human female with long, black hair-- although Guardia could never tell who was human and who was inhuman when so many species looked the exact same. Pieter, the man he and Chai met before showed as well, earning a sigh of relief from the blade. Not everyone here was a nutcase! Still, Guardia's anger had to be vented. 'Oi, who invited you all? Is there just some big [OPEN] sign above us or 'somethin?!' The sword snapped, somewhat irritated.
Last came a Majin of some kind, who rushed out and went to hug this "Maeve" person. Guardia let out a quick chuckle-- it kind of reminded him of how he sometimes greeted Chai after they were separated. The sword was bonded and reliant to his dear partner, and wouldn't let anyone hurt him for nothing. Lower eyelid curling up when he noted the... predicament Maeve got herself into, the sword would float over the two, doing a quick flip in the air before speaking once more to the group that gathered, but directed his statement to Maeve and Sala in particular. 'Ohohoho! Scandalous!' Guardia remarked with a side of snark, his tune chipper regardless.
After Maeve freed herself from this "Sala's" tight hug, the draconic demon spoke of catching up with her friend later while Guardia waggled his metallic brow. Yet, his smug expression would shift to shock when the woman introduced herself as the one and only Guardian of the Earth-- the Kami, Maeve Rakshasa! 'Sweet mother of Beelzebub below, Chai wasn't kiddin' when he said a Kami called 'im here!' The blade remarked, shaking his form like a head before clearing his nonexistant throat and speaking after Kale introduced himself, and Big Train spoke.
'So we're doin' introductions! Well then! I'm Guardia- demon in a sword, don't ask how. As for the why's, where's, and how's...' Guardia spoke, closing his eye in apprehension for a moment. '...My partner, Chai, will be better at explaining those, in private, if you REALLY need to know. But I can tell you he needs training A-S-A-P!' The blade concluded, a faint look of despair and sadness in his single eye. Shaking it off quickly, the sword eyed the rest of the group. Nonetheless, it seemed that they would all be tested to see if they were worthy of divine training. 'Hey, before we start with this whole test shebang... How long does it take one to climb this tower? Because my friend's still at the bottom.'
