Species Name: Mutants
Home Planet: Varies
Starting Planet: Anywhere
Starting Power: 1,500 - 2,000
Appearance: As they are descended from other life forms, Mutants can have virtually any appearance imaginable. Though it is common for them to at least bare a partial resemblance to their original species.
-
Background: Similar to hybrids, the mutants are not an individual race in and of themselves. Rather, instead, they are members of pre-existing races who's natural biology has evolved beyond their common peers. This evolution is something they receive at birth, rather than through the result of effort an study. It is said that the Frieza Clan, as well as some members of the Ginyu Force were actually mutants who exhibited power levels far beyond what was typically seen from their race. Mutants are blessed with raw talent, exhibiting great power from an early age. Victory comes naturally to them, so much so that they rarely have to work up a sweat. And so many of them don't even bother, instead preferring to rely on brute force over finesse to achieve their goals.
Of course even the best talent will only take you so far without the proper experience to back it up. More often than not, it is the mutant's own hubris that causes their downfall, as they don't know what to do when they encounter an enemy who's more powerful than them, and thus break down under pressure. It is possible for Mutants to work hard, of course, they simply don't feel the motivation to do so when they're already at the top of the class.

Name Pun Theme(s): Mutant name puns generally follow the race to which they evolved from.
Unique Characteristics:
Raw Talent: Mutants are blessed with superior genetics to their ancestral race, and grow stronger with less effort than normal. Mechanically, this causes the Mutant to gain an additional 10% PL increase from related threads.
Wasted Potential: Mutants are prone to over confidence, trusting that their natural talent will achieve victory over hard work. This mentality often has negative repercussions on the Mutant's long term power scaling. See Transformations for further details.
Transformations:
Mutants have access to the same transformations as their normal race, but uses the Alien C template in regards to bonuses and requirements.
