Watching with an unwavering gaze as Presto began pondering the question presented before her, Tomoyo began shrinking in anxiety. Maybe he had asked wrong, maybe he shouldn't have asked! "...Is she going to hate me now." Eyes widening in fear that he might have just caused the girl to rebuke him, Tomoyo broke his stare; clamping shut his eyelids, the child awaited the moment when the Majin would start speaking again and completely deny his inquisitions.
Tomoyo...you ask if I CAN be your mom...but...
And there it was. Shoulder's tensing up under the girl's maternal grip, Tomo waited still for the moment when she'd start yelling at him or laugh at him or even just plainly kick him out... but then that moment didn't come. Instead that hard grip spread around the small child's body as it evolved into not a rejection but an even warmer embrace. "W-What?" Quietly questioned Tomoyo, wondering if he had misheard her or did Presto really just say-
I AM your mom...I am now...
Feeling her soft hands running through the back of the half Saiyan's fluffy hair, Tomo was completely at a loss for words. "She's not joking... she... really means it!" Eyes widening in surprise as the emotional boy felt like crying now in happiness, Tomoyo returned the embrace with all of his strength, burying himself into Presto's warmth and love. At the new mother's hesitant questioning, the tan hybrid only responded by hugging her tighter; Tomo's voice could be heard answering though, muffled over the cushioned flesh. "Yes. Thank you Pre-..... Thank you, mom."
Maybe he was being foolish, trusting this person clearly displaying affection and good intent towards the child. Maybe in reality all moms were like his and Tomoyo had simply submitted himself to the same torturous lifestyle that he had run away from in the first place! ...but it didn't matter. Call him a fool above all else, but if Tomo was a fool for trusting and trying to see the best in people than he was the king of fools. A fool who dearly craved for the love and affection of a mother.
A fool who didn't want to be alone anymore.
