Thread PL: 144,627 Resilium Core: 1,301,643 He didn't need sleep, he didn't get hungry. He never got thirsty, nor did he get sick; he wouldn't age. He wouldn't die. His fighting prowess would never dull, remaining sharp forever like a mystical sword. Yet, something ate away at the saiya-jin soul of the war machine. No matter how many fights he won, no matter how many times he saw the life leave the eyes of his opponents as he drilled it out of them with the sheer force of is own power, he knew one simple fact. The prophecy of his mother could never be true in his current state. He was a killing machine, plain and simple. Yet he still retained the pride he had when he was living. His mother was a wise woman, a Saiya-jin Elite struck down in her prime by his father, who was a very nasty kabochan pirate. He forced her into a wheel chair, and had it not been for her legacy son, Carva, Letusa would no longer be allowed to set foot on the Fatherworld again. Carva steepled his fingers before his chest, the hum of the ship''s engines coupled with the sounds of monitors beeping infiltrating his auditory sensors. His eyes narrowed in thought, he remembered his mother's words to him. "Carvito..." she called him this name as a child, her love and pride for her son unrivaled. "...I will be so proud one day when you do what I could never do. The smile on your old mother's face will be uneraseable!" She'd say, watching her son train daily from the tender age of six. From the age of six, Carva's mother not only enabled his gravity training. She encouraged it. Carva felt something warm on his cheek, moisture sliding down to his jaw. The gruff warrior would sneer as emotion made it's attempt at tearing down the wall of solid ice which had formed around his heart. He thought to himself. "Damn that Breech...did he realize what he was doing when he ripped me from Hell and brought me back in this form? He left my emotions intact...and until now, I have felt nothing but anger...but what is this new feeling?" As the monitors sprang to life, he'd snap out of his emotionally charged thoughts. His amber eyes reflected the image on the screen, the beautiful green orb floating out there in space. The Planet Namek. His meathook sized hand closed on the throttle of the control panel and he pushed it forward, after burn exploding forth from he ship's engines. The computer on board would inform the warrior of his current situation. "Entering Atmosphere. Touchdown in tee minus five..." His stoic expression never changed as the large green planet grew closer. Even life, the warrior never feared anything, including death. He had no reason to do so. "Four..." The ship's shields would automatically activate as it edged closer to the planet, the ship beginning to shake a bit. This was natural during space travel, and Carva would simply lean back in the cushioned seat. His facial expression was as cold as his home on Earth, in the north. He didn't care if the ship exploded at this point as through his ordeal, he'd learned to deal with anything. "Three..." The ship penetrated the atmosphere like a dagger through the heart of a King betrayed, and it's poison came in the form of a Saiy-Android on a mission. "Two..." Excitement grew in the heart of Carva as he neared the planet of those mystical green men, still assuming their magic could redeem his soul. As the ship moved closer to the ground, a smirk formed on the face of the Black Lion. He thought. "Wait until they get a load of me...heh...though I suppose I should remain diplomatic. After all...I wouldn't want to attract Habana's attention." "One...lowering landing gear..." A group of Namekians gathered around the ship as it''s turbine engines turned vertical and his ship would slowly lower itself onto the blue grass. Long legs would prop the ship up on the ground, blue waves swaying underneath. Murmurs and fear arose from the group gathered around the ship as the long catwalk lowered onto the ground. A bright light appeared from the ship's entrance as an imposing figure appeared. Walking down the the ramp, Carva was a sight to behold as he wore his full SSE regalia. The Saiya-Android was as tall as a tree, and built like a brick wall, his armor black with gold trim on the shoulder pads, the body suit underneath a dark crimson color. His hair swayed wildly in the wind, facial expression cool as he addressed the onlooking crowd of Nameks. "Greetings Namekians..." his voice was a deep, cool baritone. He went on to step on to Namekian soil, his naturally evil features appearing quite terrible. He had no intent of killing anyone, but you wouldn't know from the looks of Carva. "...my name is Carva and I come in p-what the hell?"The question came as swiftly as the sensed level approaching the location. Carva narrowed those godly amber eyes in the direction of the approaching ki. Was this Habana? If it was, he had a lot of explaining to do. Though, he was prepared for anything.

The Warrior Caste leader stared at the green sky, eyes wandering over the cloudless site. This was one of those moments, where he just finished a meeting with the council of elders and needed to take some time to think about life. His black pupils rested on a single spot in the sky, a small...thing, appearing. It was only for a moment, before it had disappeared from his view. Although it was rare to see anything appear in the sky, this didn't really compell him to go towards it. The saiyan's robe ruffled in his seated position, and he began to flatten it out.
A few minutes went by as a couple of villagers stumbled towards Riku. They shouted at him from the ground, clearly not wanting to get close in case the news awoke some sort of saiyan rage. The saiyan had been leader for a while now, but not everyone was completely fond of him. One of the Namekians projected his voice, "Lord Riku! It appears as though something is landing by the islands! We require your presence in order to approach the said vessel. It seems like a ship, not as large and luxurious as your own, but a medium size. Please follow us!"
Riku stood up and leaped down towards them. He nodded and began to fly behind the Namekians. Their nervousness was clear from their facial expressions. It appeared as though the arrival of this vessel made them uneasy, considering their past experiences with those of other worlds. It didn't take long to find the island where there was a gathering of Namekians, all huddled around a...spaceship, it seemed. Riku raised an eyebrow as he watched the door, patiently waiting to see who was behind it. He placed his scouter to his eye for a moment and checked for a power level. The power was truly a formidable one, one that Riku knew he couldn't best like this.
Moments of anxious waiting passed, and the door let out a burst of wind as it unfolded. In the doorway stood a figure, saiyan-like in appearance. However, from the murmuring he could hear from the two Namekians that escorted him, the male couldn't be sensed for power. "Hey, his power level can't be felt, am I right?" The Namekians nodded slowly, eyes full of dread. It occured to Riku that although the Namekians were valiant people, not being able to feel someone's energy greatly affected that bravery and courage. The saiyan's eyes darted towards the man, who had just greeted them. It appeared as though he was looking toward Riku, clearly being able to feel power. Removing the scouter from his ear, Riku floated towards the ship.
"Good day, traveler. It appears as though your...sudden appearance, has surprised the Namekian people. Is there something you seek? Ah, how rude. I am Riku, leader of the Warrior Caste. You are..?"

The saiya-android was surprised to even see the Saiya-jin here, honestly. What's more, he knew that Habana was here but he didn't remember her ever using a lot of Saiya-Jin help. The warrior would study Riku quietly for a moment, his amber eyes taking in the man's form as he did. Then, his eyes would dart back and forth at the two Namekians accompanying Riku. What were they doing with him? Warrior caste? Leader? Carva's reaction was one of confusion, asking the obvious question. "I know of no Warrior Caste as you call it. What might that be? And why are you flanked by the green men?"
He could only deduce that these two who were accompanying Riku, they were warriors. But Carva wasn't so much interested in the two of them as he was the other Namekians. We're they the magicians he sought? Healers, able to restore his Saiya-Jin self? Carva stated proudly toward Riku, his armor shining in the Namekian. "I am the warrior Carva, the Black Lion of Earth. You are a Saiya-jin, correct? I can see your hair, and your ta-" he arched a brow and noticed something. Riku didn't have a tail. He shook his head. "-ah...you've lost your tail. Is that why you have come here? Do you wish for these Namekian mystics to restore your pride? You see, that is exactly why I am here..."
He didn't go into anymore detail concerning the reasoning behind his own appearance, but the statement would elude to Carva needing one of the mystical Namekians. But why?

Riku nodded, expecting the man to not know what the Warrior Caste was, the Namekians didn't exactly let people in on how they operate. Riku could tell the man was puzzled, seeing as how his expression came out as such. The warrior gestured to his escorts. "These are warriors of the Warrior Caste, my friend. Typically we do not give knowledge on how we work to outsiders, but if you must know, the Warrior Caste is one of three major Clans that reside on this planet. The Warrior Caste is exactly what you would think, a clan made up of those Namekians who are taught to be warriors and who excel in combat. I am their leader, I guide this clan."
Riku listened carefully as the man announced himself to be Carva, the Black Lion of Earth. The saiyan warrior raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Carva. It seemed as though he was quite capable, at least he LOOKED like that. Riku nodded as an answer to Carva's question of him being a saiyan. Riku chuckled lightly to Carva's next inquiry. He shook his head and spread out his arms, turning to the Namekian people.
"No, no, Carva. I have not come here for these magical abilities or their healing. I have decided to live here and help restore this planet. It's been through so much disaster the last year or so, and I truly believe if more help were to come, this planet would heal faster and prosper as it did once, long ago. These, are my people. Genetically we may be different, but we are one in heart and soul. Pride? My pride does not reside within my species, or my tail. My pride lies elsewhere, Carva."
Turning back to the warrior, Riku gestured to his attire and his ship. There was clearly something...odd, about this man. Riku did not want to bite off more than he can choose, but he had to make sure the planet was not at risk. "From what I can tell, just how you you saw in me, you look like a saiyan. However, it appears that nobody can really feel your power. Might you be an android designed to appear like a saiyan? As for what you might have said, what is it you truly want with those of this planet?"

The question struck Carva right where it hurt. He'd been instructed by Breech not to inform anyone of SCAR, and he knee that he could hold that information to himself. Noone knew of the organization outside of those who'd encountered it personally. But, Carva looked down for a moment. His eyes narrowed as he thought about the statement made by Riku. His pride was not part of his species or his tail? Looking back at Riku, his shook his head. "I wish I could say the same, Riku. But you might say that my pride was stolen from me. I didn't realize it until a few weeks ago..." a low growl came from the warrior, anger flashing in his eyes. "...when that woman audaciously questioned my pride as a warrior. It may have been nothing to some, but she planted a very dangerous seed."
He turned to the side, Namekians cautiously watching the near seven foot warrior as his eyes focused on the sky. "You could say that you are half right. You see, I am an android though not by my own choice." his eyes went downcast as his jaw quivered. "I was killed, in action. Watched my pregnant fiancee and unborn child killed in front of me....lost my tail...then an old man appeared and killed me with a cheap shot. Like you cannot feel my energy, I could not feel his...so...he murdered me."
He sighed and stepped closer to Riku, recounting what he could of his story. "I trained in Hell..." he chuckled. "...not such a horrible place, I felt my natural power grow...and grow...and grow. I'd nearly reached the form of the legendary golden warrior, until..." he once again sighed sadly. Riku could see the anger burning in his eyes. "...my very SOUL was ripped from Hell and I found myself in this body! I was a Saiyan warrior, dammit! So as I said...I seek magic. I want to be restored to my former self...and..." he looked at Riku, a dead seriousness in eyes, a desperation. "I will achieve my goal, by any means necessary."

Riku watched Carva with great interest. The man turned as he recounted some of his past, and it truly got to Riku. A man killed by an unknown warrior that could not be sensed, right after having seen his own family murdered. The Caste leader lowered his gaze, then allowed himself to look back up to the warrior. It sounded like something out of an insane movie those earthlings produced. To be sent to the world known as Hell, and suddenly be ripped from it and find yourself in this body?
This cleared all confusions in Riku's mind, Carva was indeed an android. The warrior caste leader folded his arms as Carva approached him and stated he wished to be restored to his old self. As Carva stated he would achieve it by any means necessary, Riku narrowed his eyes and shook his head. "You say a woman questioned your pride? Well, let me do the same. Who is the man known as Carva? You were killed, you watched your family be killed, and you were placed in this body. I am not saying that what you have experienced means nothing, but what exactly would you be changing? None of what has happened will be undone, no matter who you wish to become."
The saiyan warrior turned to the Namekians and unfolded his arms. He turned his head to the side slightly, voice directed at Carva. "You seek magic on this planet? I am sorry to say that the kind of magic you seek does not exist. The Namekians themselves do not hold the power to bring someone back to their original self. I shall say that there is a way, but it is not a way that I can share with you. I do not see the righteousness in what you wish to do. You've become this android, you've lost your saiyan blood. However, that should not be what dictates your pride. As you will do anything to achieve this goal, I will do anything to keep the secrets of the Namekians safe from those who aren't found worthy."

To say the warrior known as Carva was stubborn would be an understatement. When this transformation first came to be, he reveled in his newfound power, his Resilium Core boosting the natural power bestowed upon him by his Saiyan spirit. That soul, that burning spirit was still there and as he saw Riku standing before him proud and strong he gazed upon the warrior caste leader with respect. "You do understand that if I wanted to, I could obliterate you at your current power. I've defeated Super Saiyans in this form before, and I could damned well crack this planet in half." he huffed and folded his large arms across his chest, eyes closed. "But I didn't come here bearing death, though it follows me wherever I go. And there's no challenge in murdering a bunch of Namekians in this form."
He saw the jaws of the Namekians surrounding the two drop open as he spoke of destruction, young Namekians hiding behind their "parents". Carva dropped his arms to his side, his calm expression never changing. "You can all relax. If I wanted to kill, you'd already be dead. All of you."
The news that there was no magic here on Namek was heart breaking for the warrior, a grimace appearing on his normally handsome face. But the talk of there being secrets here had intrigued Carva, and an excited smile would cross his face. His power would slowly lower, his control over his mechanical parts having become masterful. He equaled his ki with Riku and proposed something both could agree on. "If you offer those secrets to those who are worthy, then why don't you let me prove my worth? Give me the opportunity, Warrior Caste Leader and you will see how worthy I truly am."

Riku gazed at the saiyan android, eyes meeting his. His statement was true, of how he could destroy Riku at his current level of strength. However, Riku did not fear death, nor being bested, he simply wished to do what was right. He was someone who believed that a real leader's priority aside from protecting those he led, was being an example of a righteous and morally good being. He did not care for the power those above him had, although if he could attain it he would have be able to protect those he led much better. Carva mentioned how he had beaten Super Saiyans before with his power, a big feat indeed, but one Riku heard multiple times in the past.
"Defeating golden warriors of legend is truly something not everyone has done, but to me it is simply an accomplishment, not a symbol of your worthiness. I congratulate you on your countless vicotries, Carva, but it does not strike fear in me, nor does it incline me to allow you to hear the secrets of our people."
Riku glanced behind him, seeing the Namekians stare at Carva in awe and fear. Riku held his palm up to reassure them. He would not allow these people to be killed by Carva, even if it meant dying in the process. This world had gone through too much turmoil, and any more would be something Riku would kill himself for. "Silence yourself, Carva. You shall not speak of the death of this race anymore. You have yet to prove to me that you understand what being worthy means to us. You may have the power to kill us, but what good shall doing that do? I am glad you aren't here with killing intentions, but speaking of your power does not make us feel any more safe. There will be no murder here, I will not allow it. Rest assured, my people, that you will not be harmed by this man."
Riku glanced back at Carva, who had his arms crossed. The android stated he wished to prove his worth to them, and by that, he wanted a battle against Riku. His scouter beeped for the moment, and Riku checked its reading. Carva had lowered his power to about one hundred thousand, almost equaling Riku. The saiyan tossed his scouter towards his escorts. He stared at Carva, then sighed. "He must not understand that simply showing his might doesn't prove his worth. However...since he seems to believe that doing such will prove his worth, and that regaining his saiyan blood will return his pride, why not play along? Maybe, just maybe, he will learn what it means to have pride and be a worthy warrior."
The saiyan nodded and gestured to desolate island a ways back. "I shall permit you this chance, Carva. No killing, no weapons, no breaking of body parts. It shall simply be a test of skill and power between us. However, remember that it is me and the Namekians who will decide if you are worthy. Come, let us battle on that island, I do not wish for the Namekians to be caught in the crossfire or be within radius of our attacks."
With that he Caste leader began to ascend into the sky and float ahead slowly, allowing Carva to tail him.

The warrior caste leader was impressive to be sure. The man known as Carva, the Saiyan, found himself respecting the man known as Riku. The android in Carva had no concern as far as that went, as that side of him was made to kill. Had it Breech's intention not for Carva to be a warrior but to be a simple killing machine? As he mulled over these notions, he could do nothing but shake his head. Carva himself knew that he was more than just a machine.
As Riku spoke to him, he took in the man's words, everyone of them. To him, defeating Super Saiya-jins in battle was an accomplishment as he'd not seen such things done very often, let alone by a fallen Saiya-jin warrior. A light breeze brushed through the hair of Carva, his expression going cold. "I will speak no more of taking the lives of the Namekians, as stated...I did not come here with that intention. I can see fear in their eyes when they look at me, and in a normal situation that would be well warranted. You see, Riku, I feel as though I am a man who has lost everything...but...your words intrigue me. How does blood not define us? We are Saiya-jins ... we have always been a proud warrior race..."
Maybe Riku's words had fallen on deaf ears, or maybe Carva's pride had been so damaged that they just didn't register. But the Saiya-Jin would notice that the Saiya-Android was extremely depressed by his current situation. But one thing that never changed...Carva nodded in agreement with Riku. "Agreed. We've no need to have any casualties. I will follow your rules to show you my honor...no broken bones. No killing. But if I prove my worth, then you must offer up information, as I am in desperate need of that valuable resource."
And upon finishing this speech, the grass around the amdroid's feet would begin to sway and blow, the warrior would lift off and follow after Riku. Hopefully, the two could come to some understanding...or at least a mutual respect.

Glad to hear the warrior agree to his words, Riku set off towards the island he spotted, Carva tagging behind him. This battle would be desicive no matter the outcome. Having arrived at the island, Riku pointed down to it and began to descend. He landed, a small gust of wind forming under his feet. As the wind died down, Riku watched the android descend onto the blue grass. Riku had noticed clearly that the android has something that wasn't present in those of his kind, or of a saiyan. Carva seemed...lost, or depressed, in a way. The Caste leader didn't know why, but he had a feeling it was due to this pride he spoke of.
Riku projected his voice so Carva could hear him clearly, "You asked how blood doesn't define us? I shall only say that our blood is what we are given at birth, it is not what we decide to be. However, that blood is only a body, it is only flesh, something that can be taken from us. There is something more within us, Carva, something that makes each individual who they are. It's in you, and it's in me. I will let you think on it, and you will respond to me when our battle is over."
Riku shook his head in order to remove the strain of hair blocking his vision. He took a fighting stance, one that held his legs wide apart, his left leg forward and right leg back. His left hand was in front of his body making an "L" shape, while his right hand did the same behind him. As the host of this battle, he felt that giving Carva the first move was the best thing to do. Analyzing Carva's movements could give him an edge in battle. "Come, Carva. I grant you the first move, my friend."
"Let's see if your saiyan soul still resides within that shell of a body. Prove to me that you are that prideful Black Lion, Carva!"

With such grace, Carva lowered himself to the ground and stood before Riku. He would lock eyes once again with the saiyan warrior and listen as he spoke. Unlike most opponents the android had faced, he harboured no hatred toward this one as he knew him not. Carva rolled his neck, unbreakable metallic bones cracking as his joints released air. Thump thump...Thump thump...his heart was still there...and he could feel it beating as excitement overtook him.
First he would watch Riku, studying his stance for a moment. It seemed that his right leg would be his power leg, as the man would put weight in it and put his left leg forward. Riku would notice this android studying his form a bit, his amber eyes travelling over the form of the Warrior Caste leader. Then...LOGIC...would speak...his on board computer, installed by Breech to "help" Carva in battle. Her cold, metallic voice would only be heard by Carva...

And Carva, the warrior...not the android...would speak inwardly to his systems. -I've no need or want of your artificial help, computer. War is in my blood...I am a fighter. It's what I do.
Carva's stance would almost match Riku's, except his right leg, his power leg would be out in front. Without another word, the android would leap into the air and draw his fist back, thrusting forward with a quick jab toward the Saiyan's left jaw. This technique would be known as a "Superman Punch" to those who watched Professional Wrestling on Earth, and we're Herc Hogan fans...

Riku analyzed Carva for a while longer, the android staying silent for a few moments before getting into his own stance. For a moment, it seemed as though Carva were replicating Riku's stance, and in fact, he was. The only difference was that he had reversed the positioning of his legs. It was clear that Carva's dominant leg was the left leg, and it seemed to Riku that he was facing another version of himself. Shaking his head as if to clear the thought, he locked eyes with Carva and watched as he leaped into the air and launched his fist towards the warrior clan leader's jaw.
Riku made sure Carva could see Riku's eyes on him, then he blinked as if on cue. After the blink, the saiyan warrior dashed forward, his speed near blinding. Reaching the android just as he would bring down his fist, Riku would bring his forearm up and block the attack. The punch caused his arm to tremble, the metallic hand of the warrior cold on his flesh. The saiyan gave a rather satisfied exception, then pulled back his arm and tried to strike Carva in the abdomen.
The attack had a good chunk of Riku's strength packed into it, but surely it would not hurt Carva for more than a few moments, possibly not even for a moment. The Warrior Caste leader's heart raced, the thrill of battle coming to him in waves. It had been far too long since he had an actual fight with someone like this. If Carva was paying attention at all, he would see a small smirk appear on Riku's face as he launched his fist forward. "This should be fun...Show me a good battle, Carva!", he spoke in his mind.

The Black Lion felt the brunt of the attack, the sound of metal clanging as Riku's fist would strike the bottom of one of those unbreakable ribs. Doubling over slightly, seeing that look on Riku's face, his own blood would begin to race. His own excitement would show in his amber eyes, his lips curling upwards at the corner. Was he...enjoying this?
"Congratulations, Riku..." he started, thrusting his arms downward to knock Riku's fist away from his midsection. "...but just because you landed a hit, don't get cocky. I may not have my old body, but I've not forgotten how to kick ass!"
And as he saw the opening, his movements would flow with the fluidity of the waves at low tide, but would have the force of a tidal wave. His first attack would be a simple thrust kick to the midsection of the Warrior Caste leader, but the second, he would drop low and spin on his pivot leg with his dominant leg aimed at the knees of Riku. Basic martial arts moves, sweeps and kicks...Riku would see that his form was perfect.

The Warrior Caste leader arched an eyebrow as Carva made a remark while Riku held his fist on the midsection of the android, his attack landing head on. Wasting only moments, Carva knocked the fist away and the excitement in the former saiyan showed in his amber colored eyes. Riku was glad to see that the android was having as much fun in this as he. The moment of mutual excitement faded as the battle continued.
Carva's movements came smoothly to the eyes of Riku, and for a moment he was caught in a trance, admiring the form the android used. The caste leader snapped out of his trance as a hard kick struck his midsection, causing him to double over. The attack was so smooth and slow, but the strike had the force of a truck in it. Another moment passed, and he felt the foot retract and a gust picked up below him. The saiyan saw a foot sliding on the ground towards him, and he finally regained his ability to react. Anticipating the strike, Riku front flipped into the air, the maneuver as graceful as could be.
As he came to a halt after completing a three hundred and sixty degree flip, he pulled back his fist and flew down towards the android. He would use his fall to his advantage and aim for a punch to the face. The attack was reckless, but sometimes the best way to get the advantage was to be reckless. Nearing Carva, Riku's expression became that of a true and fierce fighter, his saiyan nature becoming more and more pronounced in the fight.

The strange thing about Carva right now was that though LOGIC would try and offer him battle strategy, he only heard static. This would confuse the android a bit as he'd never experienced this phenomenon in his current form before. It was almost as if his Saiya-jin blood was over riding the mechanical voice of the on board computer.
In that moment if excitement between these two fierce warriors, the world around them had faded. His eyes were...not dead. They were not lifeless as they had been, and as his first shot connected with such force that he doubled the other warrior over, his gaze would follow Riku as he spun through the air. Carva would spin around and take a stance of his own, this time bending and the knees, left foot slightly behind the right, his hands before him like a mantis' claws. Switching styles...let's see how he deals with this.
The reckless fist came quickly, Carva taking the hard shot right on the chin. He staggered just a bit before attacking with a quick flurry of jabs and body hooks, aiming for the open midsection of Riku.
