There it was, the teasing was about to start again once more! He didn't know how to react to the girl poking her tongue out, but he wasn't ready for what she said next, definitely. "I'm...not quite sure I understand..." clearly he did if the stuttering wasn't a big enough clue, the red on his face certainly was...
He then looked down at his dropped burger, frowning a bit as his cheeks returned to normal. "But I do know what you mean about being treated like a monster..." he looked up to her. "To be forgotten..." he proceeded to pick the burger off the floor, thankfully not to eat it, but to put it together along with the rest of his trash as he hated to leave a mess. "Ever since I was a child, I would get so much shit...excuse my french, for being a demon not only by those I attended school with, but by those who worked there as well." he placed all of his trash into a bag, and rested it on his tray. "So I get it, that we will always get crap for being who we are, but in my opinion, it doesn't mean we have to be that way. We don't have to be the monsters they think we are." he looked around the area, watching as the people sat in there seats, eating, and laughing together, a smile developing on his own face.
"I'm not telling you to change your ways, or any of that which is something I never try to do. Just from getting to know a little about you, I could tell that it would've failed, which in a strange way I'm glad it would." he claimed, still looking around. "I admire those who stick to their dreams. Just want you to know that the road you're taking, doesn't have to be the only route." he shook his head before looking over to her. He was pretty confident that the demoness already knew this, but he felt that it had to be something for him to say, reminding him of the talk he had with his stepfather all those years ago. Marcel's had his share of doubts about the world, and why he should even consider helping it, but his stepfather helped him to see the 'light.' If it wasn't for him, perhaps Law would've also been in a similar position as her. After a few seconds of sitting there silently, Marcel stood up, picking his tray up in the process.
"But you are right. If you plan on doing this, you will need to train hard. No matter how differing a goal is to another, there is always some form of training that has to be done in order to achieve it." he smiled softly as he held a hand out, offering to take her tray for her.
