The Warrior Caste leader paced along the Namekian village he had been staying in. It had been a few months since he had taken the role of leader of the Warrior clan, and he felt very attached to the Namekian people. However, he knew that he could not be on this planet forever. He had people on Earth he wished to visit, and he wanted to test his strength with those on that planet. He had been gone so long, he forgot how the trees of the bamboo forest looked like. His ocarina playing had gotten rusty since those days as well. There had been little to do in terms of action, hobbies, and excitement on Namek, whereas Earth was a roller coaster in a way.
He stared up at the green sky. Riku thought back on what he had told Polara only days ago. He wondered why he was so wise, yet he did not listen to his own advice. As he walked, a pair of Namekian children ran past him playing tag. They wore tribal gear, the mark of the Warrior Caste on their chest. They shouted behind them, "Greetings, glorious leader!" The saiyan waved off to them, then continued his walk. Something about the Namekian culture simply fascinated him, though. They were so much more peaceful, a bit too peaceful for his blood, though. He was stuck between two extremes. He needed to find some sort of mean. There was no way Riku would abandon the Namekian people, but he couldn't stay here without going to Earth from time to time, and it seemed that it was almost impossible to even visit from time to time. Since the day he was named leader, he hadn't even touched his ship, which he sold and used to buy a much fancier one, with a special Warrior Caste leader discount.
He had the name of the ship painted on the sides, calling it: Inhibitor. She was an impressive site, he believed. However, there were far more luxurious ships, but ones of such magnitude did not appeal to the saiyan. He was not rich, and he did not need to be. "Lord Riku! Please, Lord Riku, wait one moment!" The saiyan turned around, a Namekian jogging towards him wearing no shirt and brown pants with matching brown shoes. "Sire, the elders have asked for an audience with you. Allow me to escort you back to your hut, my liege."
Riku placed a hand on the Namekian's soldier and shook his head as he began to walk forward. "I am no king, Ohbow, so please refrain from using those terms. Refer to me as something lower, perhaps Leader, or Captain, or simply call me by my name, Riku." Ohbow gazed at Riku as he followed behind him. "But sir, it is only right that we refer to you as such. You are our rightful rul-"
"No, no, Ohbow. I am no ruler. Consider me...a guide. I guide your people, but I do not rule them. I help your kind, buy I do not order them. I protect your people, but I ask nothing of them but patience, respect, and kindness. I am not the ruler of your clan, for I do not see myself as such. I am simply the Warrior Caste's guide." Ohbow marveled at the saiyan's words. For someone who came from a race of bloodthirsty savages and war loving apes, Riku was exceptionally wise and knowledgeable. It was as if he were the complete opposite of a saiyan, as if he grew up on Namekian soil.
"Aye, glorious leader, it shall be so. Now, let us be off." For the majority of the walk back, Riku and Ohbow rarely talked, yet they took much more time than usual due to the occasional Namekian group coming to greet and praise the young saiyan. Many of the Namekian children thought it amusing to play with the saiyan's abnormally spikey hair. A few times, it seemed as if they were going to remove his hair, and when this happened, Ohbow tried to remove the children. However, Riku simply stopped him by saying it was all okay, they were just having fun.
Having arrived to the hut where the elders resided, Ohbow opened the door and ushered Riku in. The saiyan bowed his head as he stepped through the threshold and entered a dim room with a single fire in the center. A circular table surrounded the fire, a council of elder Namekians seated there. A single seat remained vacant, where Riku would be sitting.
