| PERSONALITY |
Militant, stoic, and prideful are all traits of this Saiyan. Joraam is an aggressive combatant, staunch nationalist, and a prideful fighter. These traits reflect in other aspects of his life, attitude, and personality:
Militant
Joraam enjoys war and conflict to an exaggerated degree. The idea of facing stronger opponents excites him, presenting him an opportunity to exceed his current limitations. He believes wholeheartedly that only through conflict will any warrior, Saiyan or otherwise, truly thrive. Enduring arduous training, breaking limitations, and improving the warrior state of mind are some of his top priorities. He has high expectations for himself as well as those assigned to work with him. Joraam can be a brutal man, but not without cause. He can also be an encouraging ally; just as quickly as he would condemn a comrade for failing to complete a task, he would praise them for excelling. This Saiyan believes in learning from an iron fist and does not squander his time on honor or righteousness. His belief is that if one fails and lives to fight again, they must continue training until they succeed.
Stoic
As a result of his combative nature, Joraam prefers to keep his feelings to himself in most cases. This Saiyan is able to endure pain and hardship without outwardly expressing his pain or discomfort. He keeps a fresh inner monologue in order to manage his thoughts, but sees no benefit in sharing negative emotions or circumstances with others. To Joraam, pain and suffering are something a warrior must learn to deal with and overcome on their own. Sharing training regiments, tactics, and skills with others for everyone's improvement is all well and good, but one should endure privately.
Prideful
As with most Saiyans Joraam is full of Saiyan pride and very nearly arrogant in some ways. He has high expectations for himself in all facets of live, warrior related or otherwise simply because he is a Saiyan. He holds his race upon a pedestal and would gladly attempt to wipe out anything that threatened the Saiyan existence if given the chance. His pride very nearly makes him arrogant, but not necessarily in regards to himself. For instance, Joraam views any transgression by Saiyans against any other race as the right choice. In fact, he would not see any such act as a transgression, but rather as Saiyans assuming their rightful place amongst the stars. While some might consider such pride a negative trait, it should be noted that this instills a strong since of loyalty to the empire and whomever sits on the throne at any give time, so long as they are a strong warrior and put the Saiyans first above all.
General
In terms of socialism Joraam is somewhat lacking in this department. He has no problem striking up a conversation with those around him. Yet, he is no extrovert and prefers to keep quiet and listen before speaking. To his friends he can be warm and inviting, to his comrades or a lover even more so, but to his enemies he has little to say. However, when and if he does it is often nothing more than taunts and jabs meant to rile an opponent. Even those groups of people that fall somewhere in between may get little word from the man. This stems from a strong, compulsive sense of loyalty to his fellow Saiyans and to those he has allied with. If you gain the man's trust you have it for eternity, lest you should break it. Thus his bond with comrades is unyielding and his respect for the Saiyan Queen is deep. Joraam curses those that make enemies of the Saiyan race.
Joraam enjoys several hobbies as well, despite most of his time being given to work and training. There is almost no time for relaxation, but when the opportunity presents itself he is quick to take it. Aside from his usual training, Joraam enjoys swimming above others activities. For Joraam, swimming is not only an intense exercise, but a way to relax as well. It allows him to clear his mind and think of nothing else.
| HISTORY |
Father: Harik (Pun on the Haricot Bean)
Mother: Qussha (Pun on the Squash)
Birth - Childhood
Born to Harik and Qussha, two low-class Saiyans, their child would forever be marked as 'lesser' when compared to the elite class. Joraam was incubated far longer than was necessary in the hopes that his power level might somehow increase, thereby pushing him up the social ladder. At least this is what Harik hoped for, but alas this was not to be the case. The boy's power level upon being removed from the incubation chambers was a mere fifty. Much to the dismay of his parents, Joraam was dispatched to a planet within disputed territory, programmed with the hopes of claiming it for the Empire. There was little hop the child would do so however, and as years passed by Harik and Qussha wrote the boy off after repeated recon teams brought back no news of success. However, as his family and others assumed him dead, in reality the boy had been rather active. Upon landing on the disputed planet Joraam found himself in constant danger and fighting became a necessity from the moment his pod landed.
Six long years passed as the boy tore through the inhabitants little by little, until finally he had claimed the lives of every being upon the planet. Where initial recon reports had failed to document these results, most people believed some sort of natural interference from the planet was the cause. Regardless, when the final scouting party actually touched down upon the planet rather than merely scan from outside the atmosphere, the Saiyans were pleasantly surprised. Joraam had claimed the world for the Empire and increased his power level to that of elite standards. One can only imagine the surprise his parents felt upon seeing their boy return to the home world. To say the least, they were proud and happy to see their son, but Joraam paid them no mind. Even at such a young age his lust for combat began to cement itself and the boy yearned for further challenges. He entered the Saiyan Academy with the financial help of what little his parents had saved, and began his formal training with several of the Elite Instructors.
Childhood - Adolescence
Joraam's years in the Academy were ripe with conflict and strife. Hailing from two low-class warriors, the boy was often subjected to frequent taunting and jabs by the Elite children. The boy lashed out in anger every single time, but for the first few years he was beaten down in response. The other Saiyan children were Elite from birth and had much greater experience than he. Nevertheless the boy was stubborn and at this point in his life Joraam
