How long had it been since Kaula said she was going to come back? How long had it been since Letu had been able to break out of her state of depression? She didn't really know anymore. She had lost track of time in her journeys around the world, trying to find her own path, having been prevented from taking the path of the women she loved and becoming the crane hermit. She had done a lot of soul searching, and even more healing. She had been purposely avoiding going to the south for that very reason. She felt that if she went there, old wounds would open up. She was deathly afraid of her depression returning. Today..she felt different. Stronger. Not just mentally, but physically as well. So, that was how she had made her way back here. Strangely though, she didn't really fly there. She had acquired a few forms of identification while she had been wandering. Particularly, a licence to drive. She even had acquired enough Zeni to purchase a hoverbike that she quite liked. Of course, she had added a couple touches to it. But, generally speaking, it was easier for her to get around on it. As she soared through the clouds, she smiled. Everything looked so serene from this high up, and she hadn't ever realized it before. Still, she spotted a familiar island chain. The ones she had trained on with her father.
She hadn't been there in years. So, easing the bike down slowly, she eventually managed to land at the edge of the beach of the main island she had trained on, parking it on a patch of rock between the grass and the sand. The moment she touched down, she felt so many memories coming back. The constant sparring on the beach, the lessons about technology on the other side of the island, the survival lessons within the forest. So much of her time had been spent here. As such, some of her fondest memories of her father originated here. She walked the perimeter of the island. After a good five minutes, she saw..a figure in the distance? A rather..large one. Not fat, but..large all the same. She kept her distance. It wasn't often she saw people here. With that, she dug into the inside of her dogi, pulling out the triangular sunglasses she had made into a scouter. She slipped them on, then turned them on. It was a signature she didn't recognize, nor was it a power level she recognized. Still..she didn't think this person was here to be harmful. She couldn't tell what she was doing, but she could definitely tell it was a woman. She flipped off the scouter function, but kept the ridiculous glasses on all the same as she approached, her hands in the pockets of her dogi's pants, her sword slung in its place on her back. She made no show of lowering her power level. She hoped to get noticed before she got too close after all. Getting closer didn't help matters any either. She didn't fully recognize this woman, but something nagged at her in the back of her head.
Still..there was always a good time to try and make friends, right?

[Thread Power Level: 40,593] [Heavy Weights On: 10,148]
Eyes closed tight, legs crossed, Rukkora sat meditating. She'd been at this for a while and keeping focus was incredibly difficult for her. What upset her and threatened to rip her focus away was that she hadn't quite gotten the hang of these new techniques as easily as she'd hoped. Biting back an angry growl, she tried to double down on her attempt to sense things nearby.
At this point, the smaller things on the island became visible, but only things on this one island. The abilities that others displayed when sensing ki seemed more far-reaching, and Rukkora was never one to half-ass a technique. Her lower lip disappeared beneath her teeth and she struggled to expand her range. That's when she felt her; someone else was on the island!
Was it a friend? An enemy? She couldn't tell. She leapt to her feet immediately, her knee hitting the ground with a thud as she snapped out of her meditative trance and stomped her feet on the ground. The six-and-a-half-foot woman stood up, rolling her shoulders and shaking out her hair. With a sigh, she reached to the ground and grabbed her scouter. While she could sense people now — to a small extent — she still lacked the ability to accurately gauge their power level.
The red device beeped for a moment as it counted up. Her eyes widened for a moment, lips parting as it reached its final count of 46,351. Higher than her own. The look of concern on her face disappeared, eyes narrowing and her thick lips closing into a smirk. After deciding that no one else of that level seemed to be nearby, she took her Scouter back off. Her head turned to the person spying on her, hands positioned on her wide hips as she turned around.
Naturally, as with all her training, the heavy weights remained attached to her wrists and ankles. She probably seemed weaker for them, and the other person might not notice due to how deceptively small they were. They gave her outfit — sleeveless black shirt and matching black pants — an almost seamless appearance. Her grey boots and gloves, trimmed with red on the backs of her hands and feet, hid the weights well.
What she didn't bother to hide was her brown, furry tail, which untied itself from around her waist and protruded from the knee-length mass of spiky, black hair. Turning her full body to the visitor, she leaned forward and tapped her foot. "I know you're there!" she shouted. "Come on out! Don't keep me waiting!" She punctuated her words by standing upright, folding her arms against her chest, and stomping her right foot.

Well, at the very least, Letu was able to tell now that this woman was a Saiyan of some kind. She supposed that wasn't surprising. She had met her fair share of powerful people. Outside of Walker and Reikiko, every single powerful person she had met was at least part Saiyan. What confused her was that-while she could feel her power level-it also felt constrained. She was likely suppressing her power level. She tapped the side of her sunglasses, the scouter hidden within the lenses beeping before starting to count up. Yeah. The number it read was just over ten thousand, but she could feel that there was far more potential beneath that number. She tapped it again as the tattooed Saiyan woman seemed to notice her, pushing them up above her forehead, the triangular sunglasses now resting against the curve of her horns as she stepped out of the bit of foliage she was hiding behind. As she got closer, something nagged at her in the back of her mind. Something about this woman seemed..familiar. It was a bit annoying. She didn't remember this woman, but something told her that she should have. It wasn't that she was admittedly attractive-which was mildly distracting in its own right. Nor was it the tattoos. It was just a general feeling that she should have known this woman.
At any rate, she gave a friendly smile and waved a bit, the loose fitting sleeves of her gi shifting a bit as she did. Sorry, I wasn't trying to startle you. She said, her soft voice carrying rather nicely through the silence of the area, the only noise that could have muffled her being the wind itself. Even then, she could hear herself quite easily. Admittedly, this was a rather awkward situation. She seemed to have stumbled upon someones training. Her smile after a few moments turned a little bit nervous as she finally decided to just ask this woman if they had met before. But um..we haven't happen to have met before, have we? It's just that something about you seems..really familiar, and I can't place it. It's actually a little irritating to be honest.
In truth, it really was. While she didn't remember Rukkora, it was more than likely that she had at least a passing memory of the young Hybrid. She had come to their little makeshift camp when she had thought Kaula had returned for the first time. Though she hadn't seemed to have gained much weight, she looked much healthier, and seemed to be genuinely back to normal. Admittedly, some of that was because she was still holding out hope that Kaula would return, but it was looking more and more each day that it might not happen. So, for now, she was content just continuing to strengthen herself. She wouldn't rely on other people anymore, and she wasn't going to let anyone else down. Hell, in her training, she had finally perfected her control of the mixture of her Ki. Her attacks didn't explode anymore unless she specifically wanted them to, which was nice. But, that was a story for another time. For now, she nervously awaited a response from the muscular woman that was towering over her. Jeez, some people could look really scary.

The enormous Saiyan looked somewhat annoyed by the softness in the girl's voice. However, when asked if they'd met before, Rukkora's expression softened and she really had to think back and try to recall.
Ultimately, she couldn't remember the horned redhead and shrugged her shoulders. "I've met a lot of people, so don't take it personally."
She kicked her foot at the dirt, then turned around and reached for some sort of binding. Affixing it to her hair, she styled it into a rough ponytail. It looked tight, given the sheer volume of hair the tanned, tattooed woman had.
"I'm Rukkora, anyway," she grunted, not looking at the cute half-Saiyan. "You?"

Huh. If they really hadn't met before, why did this woman seem so familiar? She wasn't bugged by it. It was very likely that they had simply forgotten each other. It was very much wont to happen when situations like the one she had been in were what facilitate meetings. That was the only explanation she had for why this woman seemed so familiar. She had to have met her while she was in her massive slump of depression.
For now though, she was okay with acting like this was the first time she'd met her. Now, though her words didn't offend, there was one thing that Letu picked up on that she did notice: She was trying to avoid looking at her. Now, normally, that would have been the quickest way to get her heated, and most likely ready to fight someone. Yet, there was something about the way that this woman was doing it that didn't quite set her off. Instead, it just made her..curious.
She introduced herself as Rukkora, a name that vaguely clicked in her head. For some reason, she remembered something about..was it a dinosaur? No, that was silly. What made her even more familiar looking-and thus irritated Letu even more-was the hairstyle she chose to take on now. A ponytail. Why was that so familiar? Questions for another time, she supposed. Now was the time for introductions. She circled around to be in Rukkora's line of sight, giving her a soft smile as she held out her hand. Letu. It's nice to meet you, or meet you again, whichever this is. She said, her voice seeming to just naturally be rather soft. She had indeed spoken up, but still, she was a very quiet girl. She waited for Rukkora to either shake her hand, or just brush her off. She was curious which would be the case.

Rukkora's black eyes looked Letu over as she came back into view. She didn't avoid looking at her this time, not wanting to seem intimidated by a girl smaller than herself. It wasn't fear, after all, that made her somewhat hesitant to look her way. Her soft voice sounded nice, but the gruff-voiced Saiyan continued to behave dismissively. Brows raising slightly, she grabbed the girl's hand in her own — her own hand surprisingly slender for her size and shook once.
Of course, Rukkora wanted to ask a few questions. What Letu was doing here topped the list, though the fact that she was the alien invader here didn't escape her notice. She ran a hand through her thick, black bangs and sighed to herself. What am I doing? she asked herself, berating her own lack of directness. Her eyes remained on Letu's as she let the hand go and shifted both to her hips. Her posture changed, more assertive with her weight shifted to her right leg and her tail swiping and batting against the tip of her ponytail.
"Alright, Letu," she began, "forget about whether you've seen me before, alright? I haven't exactly been spending my time mingling on this planet." Perhaps that was why her reception was so cold. "Training's been taking priority," she added, brusquely. "So what're you doing here? You don't look like you're raring to fight me, even though I scoped out your power level on your way in. This place your home or something?"

If Rukkora was trying to be more intimidating with the change to her posture and the way she was standing, it seemed to be ineffective in intimidating the smaller girl. She shook the hand that was offered, giving her another soft smile. She was definitely out of that slump of depression she had been put into by Kaula and Reikiko's deaths. But, that was a memory and an experience for another time. She had just been asked why she was here. And, honestly, the reason Rukkora was here struck Letu as slightly ironic. She was training, and this was the island that Letu had trained on with her father while she was growing up. She gave a light shrug at that question.
When I was younger..this was for a time. I lived on this island while I trained with my father before he vanished back to wherever he was before my mother called him. And I'm not exactly eager to fight someone thats..two..maybe three times as big as me? She said, tilting her head a bit as she looked her over, trying to figure out which size it was. Of course, she had her sword..but that wasn't proving to be very useful in her fights anymore. Of course, she was also stealthily using the scoping out as a chance to look the woman over now that she was closer. Her eyes surprisingly didn't linger. The dark marks all over her? They were definitely tattoos. There was a sort of fade to them that could only be caused by being comprised of ink.
This was certainly interesting to Letu, and she really was genuinely curious. Aside from Radasha-who sort of scared her-Rukkora was the first pure Saiyan she had met. It was definitely strange to the Hybrid. If you think about it, it's a little Ironic that we'd meet here the way we did. She offered, generally just trying to fill the silence, prevent things from getting awkward. She tended to be a bit worrisome about awkward silences, and today was no different.
