(Thread PL: 500, Light Weights:ON) Tekuma Mayakon On her nimbus, Chiyen had been flying to school, it had been a quiet few days especially without Tekuma...her friend who she had been deathly worried about. She hadn't been to school in so long, but at the same time Chiyen felt somewhat a form of guilt, she couldn't shake the reason why. Perhaps Chiyen had felt that she indeed had the means to seek Tekuma out and if anything had been wrong that she could of helped out with it...but there was no way to tell. Even with that, the lack of her friend being present had worn down her mood significantly. Slacking in her training...lack of eating, even her favorite ramen! And Biology class? It was fair to say she was barely trying at all. She had finally made it to the front of the school, she'd leap off of her nimbus and walked a few steps forward. She paused for a moment, looking to the doors of Orange Star high before turning her head away, for the record just to see if her best friend would show up, as useless as it was. 'Tekuma...where are you?'

Tekuma was flying through the city on the way to school, dodging streetlamps and buildings as she flew in from West City, the home of the Blue Banner Army. The girl has recently lost her parents and become slightly stronger than their last meeting, at least with weights anyway. Her current senseable power level was only about 1,400; while her real power level was up far beyond that of her old friend's, sitting at a comfortable 5,645. Regardless, the ki of Chiyen faintly irked the hybrid as she sensed the human outside the school. Of all people to meet, why the friend that had abandoned her. That wasn't there when the halfling needed it the most.
A bit of anger rose within the half demon, eyes narrowed as she descended with bookbag in tow. She tried to avoid talking to the pink-haired female, lips tight as she merely strode towards the doors of the school building. She'd already caught up on all of her missing homework, and was going to get full credit once she turned them in. As such, she began making her rounds from teacher to teacher, dropping off hefty packets of homework for each one. All the meanwhile, the demoness tried avoiding her old friend.. who wasn't a friend anymore in her eyes. Or was she?

The halls of Orange Star High were filled with students, teachers, and...Katsu. He was doing the school a favor by acting as a substitute for a few days. Well, more like he was doing a favor for the Principal, Ms Lamia, a normally dignified and austere woman who Katsu had been “dating” for a few months now. When they were alone she was all lovey-dovey though, and Katsu had found himself accepting her proposition during a vulnerable point of the night. Which was fine; Katsu loved to teach, and even though he technically wasn't qualified to teach he had the skills and knowledge to handle the job. So Katsu walked down the hallway, the School Principal at his side, his clothes and manner to his norm and a smile on his face as he walked along the school halls.
A corner turned, a sudden thump as someone nearly ran full force into him, only to promptly bounce off because Katsu was far more sturdy than he appeared, and suddenly Lamia was in full principal mode, glaring at the student, which Katsu noticed was female now, and delivering a beratement of epic proportions. It was really quite a work of art, of how much apparent quiet anger could be shown from one pretty woman when in fact she had so much guilt over the way she had to treat the students to steer them the right way.
”...rthermore you'll be doing your school make up work in detention today, Ms Mayakon. I expect you'll be able to take all the time you need to complete your work there, and you won't be running about the halls anymore... Are we clear Ms Mayakon?”
Katsu stood back as Lamia finished up her declaration of punishment, noting the horns and tail on the girl that had run into him. She was part demon, obviously. With a wave of his hand Katsu gathered up any dropped objects and offered them back to the poor girl, offering her a consoling smile as he turned his attention back to Lamia, “Now now, she was only hoping to complete all her work on time, Ms Lamia. Speaking of, perhaps we should head to the classroom now. I'd like to have everything ready for tomorrow.”
Ms Lamia would quickly reassert her dignified appearance, adjusting her clothes back into perfection, and would continue on the path they had began. Katsu would follow, looking over his shoulder at the student who had been punished merely for bumping into him, and he gave her a wave and mouthed the words, “Sorry about that..” before continuing on with his own business...

In that time that chiyen had decided to look towards the open sky, she couldn't believe her eyes...Tekuma! On the pink haired girl's face was a look of happiness but a look of surprise. She was of course happy to finally see her friend after what could be called a hiatus. She herself had been under harsh house arrest, unable to have been able to meet her friend on any occasion due to the Wild Dinosaur incident. As Chiyen had prepared to curl a smile onto her face it was too late as Tekuma had just...brushed past her, as if they had never met before. Chiyen was flabbergasted, blinking she would turn to look to where her friend had went to...the school. She stood their for a few moments that was until she realized that the feeling in her gut was right, a frown appearing on the young girl's face.
Though, she shook her head and ran after Tekuma shortly after registering that she had deliberately ignored her presence. Upon entering the school she had looked around for where Tekuma had gone through the huge crowds of people, when she managed to catch a glimpse of her white tail. With a nod she ran in that direction to try and catch Tekuma and found the girl being lectured by the principle. "Tekuma!" she shouted after her "Tekuma, please talk to me!" She approached her would be friend, the sad look on her face wasn't nothing short of obvious.

Tekuma continued to walk, minding her own business until she bumped into the principal and the man with her, books scattering everywhere along with her papers and a demonic expletive slipped past her lips. She was accused of running in the halls; and was being told to do the homework she ALREADY DID in.. detention!? The girl immediately stood up, glaring at Ms Lamia with quite an aggressive stare. "So you're giving me detention for working for the Blue Banner huh? Well excuse me, PRINCESS. I've been busy working my ass off in the science corporation and I don't have the time to deal with YOUR fucking bullshit. So get the power pole out of your ass, and leave me alone!"
The girl would spit on her principal, flipping the bird angrily as the official BBA badge gleamed on her shirt. "If you want an actual reason to give me detention, there. You have one. As for my makeup work," The teenager shoved it into her lecturer's hands after being given her items back by Katsu, "Take a look. I sat in the frozen alleys of West City just to get your make up work completed. It's all there; and I know it's correct." As Chiyen ran towards her, the female hybrid cringed slightly. The friend that abandoned her sought her attention and this was something she wasn't in the mood for.
She attempted to take her leave, the redheaded hybrid not giving two damns about how her principal would react as the stress ran through her agitated system, half tempted to whirl around and punch her old friend in the face as she knew she was being followed. The halfling spun on the spot, staring her friend down with the same glare given to Ms. Lamina. "Alright, I'm talking to you right now. You happy? Or did you want a reason to talk to the friend you abandoned and ignored no matter how much I tried to contact you? What do you want, I'll be late for class if you keep this up."

The rage that was unleashed by Tekuma seemed to be completely absorbed by the Principal, simply smiling a bit as the student mouthed off to her. Yet the moment that Tekuma began to speak to Chiyen she was immediately silenced by a single slender finger pressed to her lips. Furthermore even after the Principal removed her finger Tekuma wouldn't be able to speak, her lips unable to open at all. Principal Lamia's energy surged, easily arriving in the 7,000 range, and she spoke very quietly, very gently, and with an even tone that had terrified many of her students time and time again. It was the voice she used to deliver really bad news, “Zip it, Ms Mayakon.
“I gave you detention not because you were performing extra-curricular work for the BBA. That is very laudable, I respect that. No, I gave you detention because you were running in the halls and you have sharp pointed horns sticking out of your head. What if you had struck Doctor Yuda here and bounced backwards into another student? Your horns might have punctured an eye or a throat. It would not have happened at all if you had not been running. Therefore, Detention.
“Now. The reason I'm giving you four more days of detention for a full week's worth is because you have indeed shown insubordination towards school faculty and using foul language. You are a High School student, Ms Mayakon. This is your job. You will not make it very far in life at all if you cannot handle being mature at your job. If you believe you can quit this job and continue to work for the BBA, then I would simply advise you that the BBA is responsible for the protection of the entire Planet at this point. They don't have any space for a foul-mouthed whelp who can't follow rules and regulations and defies their superior's orders...” As Ms Lamia finished up her tongue lashing every single student nearby had gone completely silent, many of the younger ones looking warily at her.
If at any point Tekuma had tried to leave she would find her ear suddenly grabbed with an iron vice-like grip. It wouldn't hurt as long as Tekuma stood still but if she tried to move a quick twisting motion would force Tekuma to stay and listen to the Principal's retort. Once done speaking to Tekuma she would turn to Chiyen, smiling prettily at the innocent, ”Hello Ms Nules. Don't worry, you can visit your friend. I'll send her over to the Senior Biology classroom, I know you have some after school work that needs done there. You can talk to her then. Now move along towards your next class please.... that extends to all of you. Move it!” At that point the Principal would release Tekuma's ear if she had grabbed it earlier, and would walk off towards the Principal's office, with Katsu silently in tow, having merely observed the entire event without comment.

Tekuma hissed in frustration as the teacher chastised her, her heart still quite sore from the metaphorical wound of the deaths of her parents. She was not running in the halls, what made the teacher think she was? A quiet sigh escaped the female's lips; listening as the principal gave her MORE DETENTION. An inclination to show who could kick the other's teeth in as beginning to rise, but the woman had a point and something the halfling continued to listen to. "A..Apologies Miss Lamina. I'll be here after school to make up for the exhibited behaviors.." A slightly, now depressed huff passed through her mouth, realizing what she'd done was very out of the ordinary and as such cringed inwardly.
What is wrong with me? What have I become.. Shaking her head, the female demon would readjust the items in her arms and look at Chiyen rather guiltily. Her tail stayed close to her legs as Tekuma turned tail, literally, and slipped away to the locker. Twisting the lock to the correct numbers, the lock came off the door with a click and the demoness deposited her things, grabbing what was for her first class. Biology, the first class of the day, caused her eyes to relight with excitement as the teacher had mentioned a mystery subject they'd be going over today. It certainly got the halfling excited and curious to say in the least; she'd forgotten about Chiyen.

Chiyen had stood there for the whole beans and rice, she watched as Tekuma had been told off by the principle and then was addressed herself by the principal told that she would be given time with Tekuma later. Her eyes were wide with worry, she looked between the biology sub Katsu and the principle then to Tekuma for a brief moment. As expected after that moment Tekuma had wandered off without her. Chiyen watched her walk off without her, the sad look still on her face, she looked back to the biology sub and the principal and raced after them, panting from stress and not so much from the tiny sprint she had done.
"Mi-Principal Lamia!" She said with a higher tone in her voice to catch her attention. She ran off with her and Katsu into the office. "Please, I wish to speak with you for a moment about my friend..."
Chiyen folded her hands behind her back, and looked to the ground as she pressed the tip of her foot into the ground, hoping the principal wouldn't shrug her off. She felt like she had a hand in Tekuma's depression, and couldn't let the principal think that it was her stress alone that was driving her to do these things. "Is it okay?"

All things were back in their proper order. The students were handled, and with any luck Ms Lamia could get back to her work. Teacher success. Yet as Ms Lamia sat down at her desk to continue her administrator work it wasn't but a few seconds before there was a knock on the door. It was Ms Chiyen Nules, the friend of Tekuma. Putting a smile on her face with a bit of effort Lamia asked the girl why she was there, ”Ah, you're h-h-here about Tekuma, perhaps?” Chiyen would be offered a seat and for the next few minutes they would speak of some matters pertaining to Tekuma, some to Chiyen's education, and other appropriate topics before she would be sent to return to classes for the day. Katsu would finally speak to Lamia as he shut the door behind, “She's a nice kid. Naive, but nice. Now, about this teaching task you wanted me to do today...” = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = Hours later. School was over for most of the students. Many of the teachers had gone home, some staying late to grade some test or other related thing, and most of the students were already gone or at club activities in other buildings. The main building was mostly empty, only one room occupied. Inside Ms Lamia, Mrs Gorgon the Biology teacher, and Katsu stood about discussing the day after. Mrs Gorgon was taking some vacation days to help a sick grandparent who was having complications with some disease and would be away for four to five days. Ms Lamia had brought Katsu in to sub for her in the meantime, and for the last fifteen minutes they had been going over all of the information that Mrs Gorgon felt Katsu would need to teach the students properly. Katsu himself had enjoyed the conversation thus far. Both Lamia and Gorgon were excellent staff members, intelligent, and devoted to their students. Orange Star High was in good hands if they had more such teachers about the place. Of course it was nearing the time that both Ms Mayakon and Ms Nules would come to the classroom. Tekuma for her detention, and Chiyen for her Remedial Biology lesson to help catch her up to everyone else. It was important to keep their students in tip top shape academically. Their whole future might be decided by the successes or failures of their High School Life; and all three people there, Lamia, Gorgon, even Katsu all wanted the students to succeed. When the door opened it was Ms Gorgon who spoke to the incoming student first, “Welcome welcome. Have seat and we'll get you your work for the next half hour. Don't mind Principal Lamia or Doctor Yuda. We're just going over some information for the next few days.”

Tekuma walked towards the classroom, excited yet still unable to shake off the nagging grief settled deeply into her heart. Losing her parents still struck a deep chord in her heart, and it was all she could do to avoid crying in front of the teachers as she walked into the classroom. Ms Gorgon spoke to her, and the hybrid acknowledged with a tilt to the head. She'd take a spot in the far back of the classroom, and putting her head on her hands. Why did she have to act like that in front of the principal? What.. what was she really becoming?
Her mind began to wander into thought, the young woman in her subconscious summoned a blanket out of nowhere which wrapped around her shoulders. It provided some comfort to the ever-present pain in her heart; it felt as if her very soul was suffering from the amount of grief. Her mother used to wrap the blanket in this fashion as a kid, and a few tears trickled down the halfling's cheeks. There was no way she could avoid crying any longer, the tears building up eventually burst out and she started sobbing into her hands. A wall would surround her to attempt to shove others away should they approach.

Chiyen would walk into the classroom, have been given a heads up by one of the teachers that this was the classroom Tekuma had been in. She would look in the direction to see her friend, hidden from site. Chiyen couldn't do anything but look in sadness, but she believed things would soon come into fruition, but for now she had to give Tekuma her time, she needed to get her friend back.
Chiyen would simply nod her head, as if Tekuma had given her a sign that her plan would work although Tekuma hadn't even moved. The seat that was closest to being next to Tekuma would be the one Chiyen would take. Sitting in it she would look down a the desk. Despite her efforts to resolve this problem she couldn't really muster the the feeling of happiness. Her eyes stared blankly at the desk, her mind void of any thought, she just needed help from someone reliable, someone who could help show Tekuma that Chiyen had not abandoned her.
though as of the moment such help was but wishful thinking, she rested her shoulder on the desk, thinking about her time in house arrest. To think she'd be bested by a wild animal, even her own school time had been limited, she hadn't even known Tekuma hadn't been showing up to school until the day of her own return, as she had already been sad that she didn't get much seeing time with her to begin with.

The moment that Tekuma began to form those walls around her to keep people away it would be..negated somehow. The walls wouldn't form completely before they just seemed to be sucked into nothingness, vanishing from sight. No matter how many times Tekuma would try to form them that would be what happened every single time; just completely crushed into dust before vanishing completely. The culprit to the destruction of her mentally projected walls would be none other than one of the teacher's in the class. Katsu merely had his palm raised, and as a wall or substance was raised from Tekuma's Magic Materialization ability his palm would glow purple-black, and the substance would be consumed completely before it could wholly form.
Katsu didn't even need much energy to pull off such attacks as well. In fact Tekuma should count herself lucky that Katsu wasn't aiming his attacks at her. He gave her a gentle smile and spoke, “Now now Ms Mayakon...or shall I just call you KAOS member Tekuma...anyway, please don't go forming tons of steel in the classroom. The building structure isn't rated to hold up that much extra weight; you could very well damage the building with such an ability. The power to materialize matter is a wonderful tool, but you should use it with more purpose than to hide away from your own emotions... or your friend, Ms Nules.”
Moving forward from where he had been conversing with the two other teachers, a set of paperwork in each hand. One would be placed on the desk that Tekuma was sitting at, while the other would be placed on Chiyen's desk. Tekuma's paperwork would be some forms for the BBA that she had to fill out. Some of which were life insurance forms and the like, some of which were the sort of thing you filled out at a Doctor's office. Chiyen's paperwork was dreaded biology questions! Yet they were a bit different than normal questions; having a great many context clues within the questions themselves. If Chiyen vigilantly examined the entire page as she tried to answer the questions she would be able to answer all of them correctly from the information on the pages. A big red “Read entire document before starting” was printed on the top as well to encourage such behavior.
“Here's your makeup work as well Chiyen. If you need any help on the questions be sure to ask...”
