Kaibutsu stepped out into the sunlight, covering his eyes with his forearm before recalling the fact that his old eyes had been replaced with advanced digital lenses. The assassin wondered how many of his old habits he needed to break. He scanned the area – nothing but trees as far as he could see. Kaibutsu’s built-in scouter wasn’t picking up any energy signals for a few miles either. Perhaps this would be an opportune time to put in some training and test out this new body for a while. The man’s body seemed to react instantaneously at the thought. There was a sudden, aggressively jolting urge to focus on something. Whipping his head around, he spotted a wide, healthy-looking tree. He centered his concentration on a single point. With a strange sliding sensation two long razors appeared, one in each of Kaibutsu’s hands. In less than half a second, Kaibutsu had whirled around and released the blades. They connected with the tree and instantly the center of the tree exploded outward in a massive burst of bark and shrapnel. He hadn’t even put any force behind it! He strode over to the tree to pick up the two blades he had thrown. As he reached down to retrieve one, though, it began to dissolve… Kaibutsu had no idea what kind of technology Breech had installed, but he wasn’t sure exactly how something that appeared to be steel could oxidize and dissolve into nothing in seconds. The man certainly had no complaints – it would effectively make assassination cleanups unnecessary. Not that he had fingerprints to worry about anymore. Kaibutsu reached over his shoulder, seemingly unconsciously, and placed his right hand onto the hilt of his new sword, dubbed Malice. His thumb clicked a tiny button, and the blade’s spring release popped the blade a couple inches out of its clip. With a smooth motion, he drew it. It was a beautiful blade, and as he inspected it he noticed a slight blue shimmer along the blade – a hexagonal pattern whose purpose was unclear to him. Suddenly, there was a robotic voice in his head. “Malice. A Single edged longsword with advanced self-regeneration technology that allows the weapon to recover any damage inflicted upon it within seconds. This weapon is capable of accessing a multitude of upgrades. Current Status: 0 upgrades, operating at full functionality.”Informative. After that little test with his daggers, Kaibutsu didn’t really feel a need to check out his new sword. The assassin was more interested in becoming active again. His first target would be a man who went by the name Komodo Daisuke, named for that gigantic, toxic beast. Daisuke had been Kaibutsu’s right hand man before orchestrating the very mutiny that had led to Kaibutsu’s rebirth. Daisuke was a master of toxicology, and could create some of the most effective poisons on Earth. Perhaps after Daisuke was skinned alive, Kaibutsu would take pity on him and allow him to die. Perhaps. Suddenly, there was a rapid pinging sound. After a few moments, Kaibutsu’s vision faded into a dark blue with a variety of symbols and what he supposed to be advanced mathematical formulas before the pinging ended. The robotic voice returned. “Dr. Katsu Yuda located. Sending location data now. Please wait for response before continuing.”Suddenly, Kaibutsu’s limbs seemed locked into place. He struggled to move, but could not. “Please wait. Dr. Katsu Yuda must activate the secondary code to allow freedom of movement. Please wait. Dr. Katsu Yuda may decide to activate this code remotely, after which you will be put into location sequence and may travel in a direct route to his location. Please wait.”

Stealth Generator Field [UT] With this piece of technology, Kaibutsu is capable of generating a self-contained vibration field that bends light away from the source of the vibration. This renders him nearly invisible to the naked eye, though a seasoned expert would be able to see a slight shimmer if out in the open daylight. As long as Kaibutsu is not in motion, this field may remain in place indefinitely. While in combat, it may be used in short bursts to distract and disadvantage the enemy. This is an RP skill, and does not directly affect KP mechanics.

Katsu eyed the little GPS that was guiding him forward as he controlled his hovercar a thousand feet above the ground, zipping past millions of coniferous trees and the occasional hill. He was in the Northern lands, in one of their rare forested areas; and he was here to track down a little signal that Dr Breech had informed him of. The Good Doctor had told Katsu of some of the near finished creations that had yet to activate on the planet, and had given him a way to track their locations should they need assistance of some sort. He had been in his laboratory working on refining his latest project when he had received an update that a new subject had activated.
Koroshiya Kaibutsu. A professional assassin that had been betrayed by his own clan for taking a deal with Dr Breech. Almost murdered and left for dead he had been transformed into an android by the Good Doctor because of a deal. Katsu could only find himself slightly interested in the fellow. Katsu wasn't a man of destruction but creation; a professional assassin who had been turned into a literal killing machine as opposed to a figurative one was still just a killer to him. Still; it was part of being with SCAR to handle this beings activation sequence, and so as soon as the GPS signal had come online he had headed out to the far North... forgetting to take his greatcoat to account for the weather.
Shivering a bit as the frigid wind chilled his flesh Katsu found his vehicle nearing the location of the signal, a clearing coming into view on the horizon. Just then a small robotic voice emanated from the device used to keep track of the various creations of Dr Breech. “Subject Name: Kaibutsu has been remotely held. Activation codes required to release. Will you transmit the codes?”
With a quick tap Katsu muted the device. He didn't plan on just remotely activating one of Breech's creations. That was boring. He wanted to see if there was truly anything special about this new creation; if there was more than just a history file and a will to kill to this mechanized being...
A minute or two would go by before Katsu would touch down his hovercar in the clearing; the frozen form of Kaibutsu clear to see from his location. Hopping out of his vehicle Katsu walked up to the android with a very casual attitude, giving the creature a wave of his hand in greeting even as his other tapped out the commands required to let Kaibutsu loose, ”Yo. Name's Katsu Yuda. Bio-Engineer. You're Dr Breech's newest creation, eh? So, what's your deal then? You more than just a killing machine or am I wasting my breath speaking to you right now?” Oh no, Katsu had very little respect for mere killing machines, indeed.

Kaibutsu stood in silence, contemplating. He had never quarreled with patience, and he was surprised to hear of Katsu’s approach so soon. The android had anticipated at least a few days before being tended to. Plus, he wouldn’t need to take the time required to catch up to wherever the man might be - according to the informant within his own head, Kaibutsu would have ended up traveling on foot with no control over his own body. He considered the idea of having some form of propulsion system integrated.
As Katsu’s vehicle approached, a small box appeared within Kaibutsu’s vision asking him whether he would like to query his database for information on the bio-engineer. He declined. Whatever Katsu wanted him to know was all that he needed to know.
As he felt the joints and locking mechanism release, he rolled his head and extended his arms out. The man’s sensation of touch still existed in some form, though he could not comprehend how. He rapidly tapped each of his fingertips against his thumbs and with each movement a flare of pain shot up his spine. Great gifts often come with a price; for him the price would be pain.
Kaibutsu turned toward Katsu and remained silent as the scientist spoke. He would have smirked, but the assumption was warranted. A professional killer had been given abilities he could only have dreamed of obtaining. Still, the assassin did not believe that he would simply be a pawn, going off to kill a target the instant Dr Breech (or any other head honcho) waves his hand and then deactivating afterwards. He planned on proving it, and he had an idea how.
"Are you just a scientist?" he asked, matter-of-factually. "Actually... I do have something that I would like to create... I have ambitions for the Whet Blades, which may be a part of the reason that I was directed toward you. Though I could simply be projecting my own desires."
He paused, thinking of how to explain what he meant in short.
"A group of my fellow assassins executed a coup against me. Yes, I want to skin those traitors alive. However, I have a potential approach that could make them useful in a way that is beneficial to all of S.C.A.R."
Kaibutsu paused again, but this time it was to control his rage. He lusted after vengeance, but he knew that he needed to focus on the long-term.
"I want to hunt every single one of them down, and transform them into machines. Just as I was transformed, with the exception of their lack of... Free will, I suppose it could be called. Perhaps then they could simply be rented for use by the members of our organization."

[OOC: Apologies for the very late post; work reached its peak this last weekend. I'll be able to post a bit better as the tourist season winds down]
Resisting the urge to just up and walk away at the words coming out of the new Android's speech unit, Katsu gave a short sigh as he started pressing more buttons on the datapad. He had no interest in the words that Kaibutsu were spouting about how he wanted to lock his former colleagues into a horrific hell of being machines of death without free will or ability to grow. It was the words of a destroyer; of someone who would never even try to create something. Anything they did create would only be destructive as well. It wasn't anything Katsu wanted to be a part of or near at all. In fact he was hoping very much that there was some sort of problem with the creature; and his fiddling with the datapad was in an attempt to run a systems diagnostic on the creature.
Kaibutsu would receive such a prompt in his head; the cool voice that spoke to him would chime in with a, “Remote Command Recognized. Diagnostic Scan initiated.
“Scanning...
“Scanning...
“Diagnostic Complete. Systems Normal; no defect found in Neural Processing Unit.”
Giving a small sound of annoyance Katsu would toss the datapad back into his hovercar and lean against the metal surface, looking at Kaibutsu with distaste evident on his face and his arms folded across his chest, closing himself off fro Kaibutsu. “A killing machine long before you ever got the tech, then. You're all about killing even in your own mind.
“Can't say I've got any interest or desire in working with you; but I'm to ensure your first combat mission is properly observed and recorded, to collect vital data for Dr Breech on his creation. I'm along for the ride to watch over everything, but you're the driver on this mission. Obviously the best test of your new abilities would be in taking on the strongest of your former colleagues. If you're up for it; let's go...” Katsu would say such words but would then look to Kaibutsu calmly, awaiting the android's response on where they might start. After all, Katsu had very limited data on any of this; it'd be up to Kaibutsu to hunt down his first target.

Kaibutsu wasn’t fazed by the fact that the intense pain of his movements was not a symptom of some kind of defective equipment.
What did faze him was this scientist’s cocky attitude.
He crossed his arms. “So, Dr. Breech could create such advanced technology, but he requires someone like you to go around babysitting his creations?” Kaibutsu would have laughed, but he considered this to be a serious matter. “I find it dubious that there is not some form of transmitter or recording device already installed somewhere within my form.”
Another stream of thoughts filtered through his consciousness.
“Regardless, if you cannot collect data from over a kilometer away then it is pointless to bring you along in the first place. Chances are high that you will end up dead or maimed. But if you still insist, Daisuke’s hideout is…”
He paused for a moment while his scanner calculated the distance. It beeped, and a blue light appeared in the top left corner of his vision.
“76.7km from this location. If you truly believe that you need to come along, be forewarned. There are a minimum of two hundred traps within a kilometer radius of his asylum. Since you don’t seem to have an understanding of the art behind my trade, the best case scenario is simply that you will slow me down.”
“If you don’t consider it a waste of your time, I am curious about your purpose within S.C.A.R. You seem to have a distaste for those brought up in a black and red world, so I don’t understand why you would want to associate yourself with someone such as Dr. Breech.”

Katsu gave Kaibutsu a mischievous grin in response to his goading, “Well at least you have some skill in banter. Yes I'm coming along. This isn't just a test of your ability to kill. Dr Breech can create killing machines that are far more capable than any human, even a professional as yourself. No, this will be in your ability to carry out a mission with a partner. A mere killing machine is of no use; SCAR needs people who can adapt and evolve; who can leave their comfort zone and experience something new. We're about pushing Evolution forward; if you can't evolve then you're not a true member you're just a tool.
“Also, there's hidden opportunity here. You see, your...former colleagues are apparently a lot sloppier without your guidance. The BBA has issued a bounty on the Whet Blades. Unfortunately for you, they haven't issued it to the public, it's strictly BBA allies only, which does not include you.” Katsu brought forth a datapad to show Kaibutsu what he was talking about, bringing up the data that the BBA had on the Whet Blades. To Kaibutsu it would be incredibly inconcise data that only got a tiny portion of the truth of the Whet Blades, but it was certainly a lot more than he had ever let leak while he was their leader.
”So, the plan is this. We perform this bounty 'together.' We give the BBA the corpse minus its brain if you're still determined to enslave your former people,” Katsu looked at Kaibutsu with distaste evident on his face. Enslaving a creature in such a manner would completely halt their progress; stop their evolution in its tracks. Katsu was obviously against such an idea, but this wasn't his matter, it was between Breech and Kaibutsu. “I cite you on the report, we get paid, I vouch for your skills to the BBA, and then you can hunt the rest of the Whet Blades and turn in the corpses for cash, all the while building a favorable rapport for SCAR in the background.
“How's that sound? Still doubt my position as Emissary of SCAR?” Katsu gave another grin, awaiting Kaibutsu's response to his plan. Katsu felt it was a very neat little scheme. Kaibutsu was already dead set on hunting these people down; why not net SCAR some extra profit?

What Katsu said made sense. Kaibutsu was the last surviving member of his family, and without their strict regulation the Whet Blades could have easily sunk into the mire of mud that was merc-style tactics. Kaibutsu’s family had kept the Whet Blades invisible; the only outsiders who had any information on their existence were the extremely wealthy and other crime lords who were incapable of performing at the same level of efficiency, and needed to hire someone superior. And when the Koroshiya had been in charge, the instant a word of the Blades slipped errantly from a man’s mouth they were dead. No grey area, it was simply a matter of time before the doxer and everyone they had ever spoken to for the past ten years was less than ash.
The Whet Blades were invisible. Always.
But Daisuke and the others had betrayed Kaibutsu. Now they lacked the skillset handed down through the ‘Koroshiya’ family, and the Whet Blades was just another syndicate on a wanted list.
What a joke. Kaibutsu would exterminate them all, except for those whose skills were worth retaining. Kaibutsu would grant them the gift that Dr. Breech had given him, but it wouldn’t be the same. Just as those traitors had given him no other option before they stabbed him in the back, he would give them no option but to be subservient to himself and to S.C.A.R.
“Daisuke was the closest thing I have ever had to a friend. He didn’t give me a choice when he and the other Blades betrayed me, and I don’t plan on giving him a choice," If Katsu was paying attention, he might notice a twinge in Kaibutsu's neck. "Aside from his decision as to whether he will revel in his inability to betray myself or SCAR.”
The man remembered a time when he and Daisuke were children, and had spent weeks surviving together in blistering heat and deathly cold. Daisuke had been from another family, but had been trained and brought up alongside Kaibutsu within the same household. Kaibutsu suspected that Daisuke had always been jealous, having never been able to quite match up to Kaibutsu’s accomplishments, but the assassin had never anticipated a full blown coup. Perhaps Daisuke had simply desired the top position for himself. Now he held it, and what had he accomplished? He had transformed the organization from gold to shit.
Without another word, Kaibutsu clicked the coordinates over to Katsu’s datapad. It would lead to a single ‘safe’ point that would be the entrance to a maze of traps. If the two could navigate through safely, they would reach the threshhold of Daisuke's asylum.
“I would prefer to travel on foot. I haven’t had the opportunity to completely adapt myself to this body's full functionality.”
As his knees bent down into a sprinting stance, Kaibutsu turned his head back to Katsu and chuckled.
“I hope you have a tolerance for tetrodotoxin.”
In a split second Kaibutsu was gone, leaving two small craters in his wake. He bolted forward in a direct line, only diverting his path to avoid people and their various possessions. All in all, it would only take the assassin twelve minutes to cover the distance. Despite the intense pain rushing through him, it was absolutely thrilling. When he had been a human, his capabilities would have matched up with a professional Olympic athlete. But this… This was on another level.
Kaibutsu would arrive, stopping his approach roughly ten meters from the designated point. Leaning down, he reached into a slot in the side of his calf. As he pulled his fingers up, two small, 3x3 mirrors would appear in his hand. They would be needing them.

[OOC: Sorry for the super short post. Katsu isn't really the leader in this so you gotta describe our environment.]
There was little for Katsu to respond to or reply to Kaibutsu's given the matter at hand, and when Kaibutsu took off towards the target area Katsu followed. His only real response would be a simple, “Assassins and Poison go hand in hand, but normal poisons wont hurt either of us. In fact if you don't mind making a scene I could probably just spring all of the traps at once.”
Perhaps Kaibutsu would get a little surprise that Katsu could keep up with him, and perhaps that surprise would be a bit higher when Katsu wasn't running but gliding along a mere inch or two above the surface they traveled across. It wasn't true flight, but an extension of Katsu's basic Telekinesis abilities. Kaibutsu was also slightly stronger than him right then, but Katsu's flight stopped the incremental loss in speed that came from having to take steps, mostly balancing it out. Kaibutsu could probably pull ahead if he really tried, but there'd be little point considering Katsu had the ability to track him by his electronic systems.
When they would arrive Katsu would stay floating above the ground, standing on a platform of air. ,[ color=ff8800] “Still sort of want to just blow everything up just to see what happens...” [/color] [/div] [/div][/div][/div][/div]
