[Thread PL: 285,269][Due to the nature of this thread, only people Kaula has connections with can join] Kaula sighed as she stepped onto the sand of the beach. It has felt like forever since she had been on this island - been back on Earth. But apparently, despite her thinking it might have been a year or two - it had only actually been a few months since she had died. A hand came up, tugging her scarf off of her face as she simply opened and closed her fist a few times. The girl was still dressed in her King Kai dress. Only now she had her sword and scarf back with her and the last accessory, the halo still everpresent above her head "Gonna probably have to go soon. Mom won't be too happy about that." she muttered as a hand came up to rub at her head. She hadn't even had a whole lot of time to see all of her other friends. She hadn't heard from a few others either yet. She didn't know where some people were - hadn't been able to get in touch with Hikari at all. She sniffed at the ocean air, letting out a relaxed sigh as she closed her eyes. Her tail lazily hanging behind her as she let her arms fall to her side. She could just leave without telling anyone.. But instead, she chose to unsuppress her power, allowing her strength to act like a beacon on Earth. Those who were here - and potentially wanted to meet her - could do so now if they wished. (Short post, sorry. )

A hand came to rest on Kaula's shoulder. It was Radasha. She had a slight smile on her face as she spoke; "Well I knew you had to go soon. That's fine....You'll be back." she said, side-hugging the younger Saiyan. "Hopefully I'll be a little stronger than when you left me..." She looked up then. She knew Kaula was trying to signal people with her ki. Anyone who hadn't had a chance to see her before she left wouldn't have a hard time finding her. "Well if they don't come in a few minutes maybe try powering up fully....They'd have to be really dense to miss you then." she said, chuckling, reaching up the ruffle the girl's hair.

He had sensed the power, and it took him a second to realize what it meant. Kaula was back. Standing up, he whipped his hand across the air, and charged headlong into the forming rift, exploding out the other side in a burst of Ki. He saw Kaula nearby, and knew there was only one thing that he could do at this point in time.
"KAULA! YOU'RE ALIVE AGAIN!"
The terminology of the maneuver the tree performed was a contested one. The term "Tackle-hug" was a more literal phrasing, but "Glomp" was used as well. Other names were possibly appropriate. Either way, the suddenly-appeared Walker attempted to hug the half-Saiyan at what may well have been terminal velocity for a mere mortal. For someone of their level, though, it would likely just knock them over or some-such.
Whether or not the hug actually occurred depended heavily on Kaula's reflexes, and whether or not she expected such an action. It was rather unusual for the tree, admittedly.

TOMA THE HERO Well, that certainly hadn't been what Toma was expecting. Sensing Kaulas energy had stirred the Saiyan from his slumber. Sitting up from having been laying down on the sandy beach of his small island he called home, he closed his eyes. He focused his senses on the source of the power, and he was able to confirm his suspicious that it was indeed the genuine Kaula. A smile came to his face.
Sure, Kaula and Toma really didn't get along that well. Or at all, if you were to ask her, but they were still family. Toma cared about Kaula unconditionally. There were few things more important to him than his family.
Using his Ki, he pushed himself up into the air, and blasted off at full speed towards her. He felt Walkers energy, as well as Radashas as well. It was certainly turning into quite the little gathering that she was making for herself.
He stopped himself in the air close to them, just in time to see Walker attack Kaula with a sort of tackle-hug. It was strange to see the Tree being act in such a way, Toma noted. He must be very happy at Kaulas return as well.
Toma didn't say anything. He simply smiled, and watched. It wasn't his place to interupt.

The girl simply let her energy stay at her default for now. She glanced back at her mother, lips curling up to flash her a smile. "Yeah. I know. I uh. Don't really know what happens if I stay here longer than I should. But I should start heading back to where I arrived tod-" the girl was cut off as she was suddenly tackled by the massive tree! Was she under attack?? Wait, no. The voice didn't sound like she was. However, the girl was struggling to breath a bit before she managed to break free and floating up into the air lightly, dusting herself off as she chuckled a bit. "I uh." the girl stopped for a second, a hand coming up to rub at the back of her head, "No. I am not alive. Not yet. Just.. Was back for a little bit to visit my mother. Perk of being one of the best people in Heaven." the girl said, reaching up to flick her halo. She touched back down on the ground, looking towards Toma for a second when he arrived - simply giving him a slow nod. With a sigh, the girl went to look back to her mother, "Any.. Sign of Letu?" the girl asked as she crossed her arms. "Also mom.. If you can, make sure to check up on Maeve a little bit. Don't know how she's still doing since the whole.. Bing thing. She's on the lookout - if you know where that is."

Radasha nodded. "Yeah I saw her...didn't look to well....I'm sure she'll be happy to know you're coming back though..." she said, smiling....before she staggered back in surprise at Walker's sudden entrance. "DAMMIT WALKER WHY DO YOU HAVE TO USE THAT PORTAL THING!?" she snapped, clutching at her chest a bit to slow her heartbeat. It really shouldn't shock her as much as it did but....She hated jump scares. Taking a breath, Radasha soon regained her composure.
"Yeah, she's not technically 'alive' but she'll be soon hopefully. Apparently they gave her a few days in the living world." she said. She then caught sight of Toma and waved him down. "Get down here and see your sister! She'll be going back soon!"

Almost as if on cue, Kaula and Radasha-among others-would pick up on yet another power level closing in, FAST. Letu had felt the spike when it initially came. She recognized the signature as well, along with the ache that it brought back up. It felt just like hers. She was wary though, the last time she made that mistake, it had only been her mother, who had gotten far stronger than she had been the last time she'd seen her. However, as she got closer, she felt more familiar powers, ones that had been eclipsed by the one that she now recognized. It was one she'd recognize anywhere. And who did this massive power level belong to? None other than one of the two women that had taken her heart. If any of them looked up, they would spot a black speck on the horizon. With every passing second, it got closer and closer, and there was also a definite silver outline to it. As it got close enough to make out a figure within the black and silver however, one thing could be heard.
KAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Within mere seconds, the black and silver aura cut out, and flying through the air was a person that would be familiar to a handful of people here. It was Letu, the Saiyan Demon, at one time a student of Kaula's-and also perhaps the person that had taken her death the hardest. The tackle that she had given was a bit out of character for a girl that could be as shy as her, but with as hard as her death had hit her, the tackle-hug was nowhere near unexpected for those that had seen her. If Kaula didn't move out of the way, she'd find Letu's arms wrapped around her, the slightly older girl clinging to her as tightly as she could. If she took a moment to look her over, Kaula would likely notice some of what her mother had mentioned. The girl had gained a lot of weight back in the past few weeks, but it was still obvious that she had gone through some level of malnourishment. Still, it seemed that the thing that the girl needed most was comfort. Even with as tightly as she was gripping onto her, she was holding her like she was afraid that she'd vanish, and she was even trembling lightly, trying her best to hold back tears as she clung to the other woman.

Ah. So Kaula wasn't alive, after all. Just visiting. Still, it was good to hear that she was alright. He had been worried about her, but it seemed she had made it to Heaven. There was much that had happened since she left. Although... "It seems I finally caught up with you again, Kaula." He had felt Zuccetta's power increase when she transformed, and based on what Kaula was at now, he was fairly certain that he could estimate where she was as well.
When she mentioned Letu, however, he felt a somewhat familiar power heading towards them. "I believe she is right here." A moment later, Kaula was tackled for the second time in as many minutes. Turning to Radasha, he shrugged, finally answering her question. "It's more efficient, and besides, it is useful to practice. I accidentally let it close too soon one time, and sliced off part of my tail. I forget I have that, sometimes." It had been a fairly new addition, to be fair.

TOMA THE HEROKaula was tackled again by a new arrival, someone she must've known. Toma drifted down towards them as Radasha spoke to him, asking him to come see his sister. Toma couldn't help but chuckle. Of course, he wanted to hug his sister. While Toma didn't particularly like Kaula, she was still his sister, and he thought of her as family and loved her unconditionally. Even if they wanted to rip each others throats out at times.
Landing on the ground, he'd walk over to Kaula, and place his hand on her shoulder. "It's good to see 'ya, sis." He'd say, before sliding his arm over her back to her other shoulder, and pulling her into a side hug. He knew Kaula wasn't really a physical person, but he decided to take that risk. He doubted she'd mind in this case.
"How 'ya been?" He'd ask, before removing his arm from her.

The girl had only just freed herself from one tackle to get tackled into another one! With a loud "Gah!" the girl spun in a bit, reeling from the second tackle that caught her off guard. She wrapped her arms around the much smaller person who wasn't really crushing her as much as Walker did. She let out a relaxed sigh, letting her eyes gaze on Letu before she simply closed them.
She cracked a slight smile before she went to pat Letu on her back. "I'm sorry I've been gone. I'm.. Going to be back soon, though. Not much longer." the girl explained a little bit. Kaula didn't mind too much when Toma pulled her into a side hug. "Well. I've been dead. Stuck on a planet much much smaller than my island with a fat blue man who can't get my name right." she said with a slow shrug. "Other than that, I have been relatively alright. How have you and your wife been?" she asked as she let up her hug on Letu slightly.
A smile cracked on her lips. "Good to see you stronger, at least." she said with a chuckle - glancing back to Walker, "Same with you!" Kaula added before focusing on Letu again. "I'm sure you'll catch up to me in no time. I hope you've at least been.. Alright? I'm sorry if my.." she paused a few seconds, "Passing.. Has bothered you. I hope to reverse that soon. Just need to finish my training back there."

Radasha watched as another person tackled Kaula. Letu. She smiled seeing the girl looked better than when she last saw her. "Looking better Letu" she stated before turning to Walker when he responded to her. Oh right he had a tail now. "Why don't you just wrap it around yourself when traveling through?" she asked, demonstrating with her own tail by wrapping it around her waist so it appeared as a furry belt. It seemed like a simple solution to her. Of course she had lived with a tail her whole life. The thing was almost like a third arm for her. "You should practice picking up things with it." she suggested, watching Toma hug his sister, smiling a bit when Kaula didn't seem to mind.

For Letu, this was one of the greatest things that could have possibly happened..Kaula was back. She had been dead, and now she was back! It was impossible..but here she was. She could feel her. She wasn't just some ghost..she was truly, physically here. As she listened to Kaula talk to the others who had gathered to see her, she slowly stopped trembling, instead allowing herself to rest comfortably against her, her head nestled into one of her shoulders as she closed her eyes, simply listening to everyone speak. Apparently Kaula had a brother. Huh. That was news to her at least. The young woman stopped for a moment to think. Had she ever mentioned family other than her mother before? As far as she could remember, she hadn't. But, when she felt Kaula pat her back, Letu did jump a bit. She hadn't been expecting that. Unfortunately however, Letu's high spirits were about to be shattered.
Kaula at least sounded truly sorry about what she said. She had to go back. She wasn't truly alive again. This was temporary. The young girl slowly looked up at the woman who had stolen her heart with a sad expression, still biting back tears as she nodded slowly, leaning against the other hybrid until she heard another thing she hadn't expected to hear. An apology. She took a step back at that, looking straight into Kaula's eyes and smiling softly, but sadly. For..quite some time, that really took away a lot of my desire to do anything..you and Reikiko..both dying like that..then Walker showed up. Now I think I understand why you both left. So, you don't need to apologize..but thank you for doing it all the same.
She said very softly as she leaned in, planting a soft kiss on Kaula's cheek before looking around to see who all was there. So far there weren't that many people. She knew two of them: Radasha and Walker. She felt almost awkward. Outside of walker, she was the only non-family member here. It felt like she was intruding on something very intimate and familial. Of course, Walker being there helped a bit, but still, she stood off a bit to the side, smiling at Radasha when she mentioned how much better she was looking. She really did look better. She was still much thinner than she had been three months ago, but by now she had gained a bit of her weight back, and her hair didn't look like a matted and tangled mess. It came down quite neatly to the bottom of her chin now. She looked a lot better, and felt better too. This was perhaps the most positive thing that she could have found out, even if she did feel out of place being here.

So, it was just a visit, then? Interesting. He was unaware that was allowed, but he supposed if anyone had earned it, Kaula had. She had stopped the Saiyan Invasion alongside the other heroes of Earth, after all. Trapped on a planet with a small blue man was not quite what he had expected, however. When she mentioned training, it sparked a memory. Reikiko had been training with someone in Hell, someone important. Wyntre had apparently trained with the same person. If there was some person who took powerful people in the afterlife, it made sense Kaula would have qualified. One of the only Super Saiyan 2's in existence was a mighty force to be reckoned with.
It made him wonder if the training was regardless of Hell or Heaven ,or if there was simply one trainer who trained anyone worthy. Something to think about if he died again, he supposed. However, this brought another thought to mind. "Kaula... I have a question, if you don't mind?" He shifted slightly, looking away. "Recently, I went to Konats." His mind spun for a moment, recalling all that had occurred. "It was being ruled by a lunatic named Plato, a man convinced of his own righteousness and who had been responsible for killing some race called the Kashvarr. All I know is, an SSE fighter and his mate went to attempt to conquer it."
"The mate was a Super Saiyan, a murderer and backstabber who had escaped Hell. I myself tried to repair her mind, and even found her after she revived and warned her of the danger of continuing her path. It took no time at all for her to begin her rampage again. So, when I arrived on Konats, I ended her, and gave Plato a chance to prove he was more than just a warlord." It was difficult to summarize this quickly, but he needed to explain as much as he could. It was... unsettling to him. "She was the first person I have ever killed. Every other opponent has lived, or been knocked unconscious. There is no doubt that she deserved to die, that she would have hurt more people."
It was going to be awkward explaining the following, but he persevered over the sudden nervous feeling he had. "However, a half-saiyan by the name of Articho Reville arrived soon after. He seemed annoyed that I had killed her before he arrived, and began to slowly and increasingly act erratically, attempting to incinerate her body. My daughter-in-law, a Majin, appeared to stop him. Arias had been her adopted mother before her true colors were revealed, and she desired to absorb her. Given all the reasons, I agreed." The same dark, roiling feeling welled up in his wooden chest as he recalled the arrogance and threats Articho had spat out at this, the ultimatums that he had no reason to hold.
"I don't know why he held such animosity, but Articho demanded he be allowed to destroy her corpse instead. He became abusive, claiming that I was a spurned lover of Arias clutching at her body in jealousy, and that Presto should fight him for the body, despite him having no involvement in her life. As far as I can tell, Arias never did anything to him or anyone he knew." He had inquired of this to Presto afterwards, now that she had access to her former adopted mother's corpse, and nothing had come to mind. Still, it was possible that the memories did not translate, or were fragmented. He didn't know much about the distinction between Majin and Bio-Android absorbing techniques. "It was when he demanded Presto fight him, a fight she could not possibly win, that I snapped. It only took a moment..." The tree stared down at his hand, clenched in a blade-like shape. He sounded a bit afraid, despite the bitterness in his tone. "It was so easy. Just one motion, and his head toppled to the ground. All of my short life, I have strove to be a hero... but I don't know if I can be a hero anymore. So, Kaula.... As one of the few I know who I would call such a lofty title..."
He looked over at her, rubbing his face for a moment, almost as if he had been weeping. "What would you have done? I asked myself that question a lot, and I have yet to determine the answer."

((It's been nearly two months and now that Radasha is back home from their travels, I feel it's safe to say that we can just go ahead and uh.. Skip toma and finally finish this thread up in a round or two.)) Kaula just smiled at Letu for a few seconds. "You're kidding, right?" Kaula stated, keeping her hold on Letu. "Of course it's kind of my fault. I mean.. Well.. Rei did kind of jump in and do something I specifically begged her not to, resulting in our deaths. But.. Whatever." Kaula said as she waved it off lightly. She turned her eyes glancing towards Radasha to give her mother a smile, "Thanks for looking after Letu some. It won't be much longer till I get back. I promise - so neither of you will have to wait for too long, hopefully." She welcomed the kiss from Letu as well and replied with a peck on the cheek to the Saiyan - Demon hybrid. "I got something important to ask you when I return. Just uh.. Need to figure out how to return fully before I can." Her attention, however, finally went to focus on Walker. "Anyway, Walker, Go on." she'd say, giving him a nod. Konats. That place.. Sounded like it should be familiar. She'd have to wonder why later, because right now she was concentrating on hearing the experience Walker was sharing. "Right. The Saiyan Solar Empire trying to take over a planet - nothing new there." the teen added on, nodding to show she was still listening. Her tree friend, who wasn't too particularly happy, went on to explain the Saiyan he had killed was someone he tried to help. It was sounding alright, till she heard the name Articho. The girl went to sigh - nothing good came from that name and his idiotic ideas. "Keep going." is all she simply said. She moved to let go of Letu for the moment, crossing her arms as she focused on Walker. She certainly seemed more serious now. Kaula heard it all. A majin wanting to.. Eat the mate. Articho throwing a fit and insulting him. "Ehhh? You got mad he offered a fight she couldn't win so you forced him into a fight he couldn't win - so is it okay if you do it, eh?" she asked, glancing towards Letu for a moment before looking back towards Walker, continuing her lecture. The young girl seemed serious! "Did you hear all the details? Did he even say it was to the death? And, if she was absorbed by that majin, wouldn't the majin also get her bad traits! You should know there is a technique that can be used to lower your power to make fights even, why did you not suggest that!" she moved to point towards Walker. "You are one of my oldest friends on this planet, Walker. That is the main reason I am not decking you in the schnoz now. Well, that and my time left on Earth is in the mere minutes." The girl took in a labored breath. Her body seemed to have faded slightly - leaving the girl semi-transparent! Looked like she was struggling to stay - if only for a little bit longer. "If you want to be a hero - if you think me a hero! Live up to the ideals! Everyone needs a death worthy of them - no one deserves to simply be eaten because their mind is not there." Kaula's hands soon found them on her hips. "I am.. Disappointed. We can talk more when I return from the afterlife, Walker. Just don't stray far from the path of a hero - we all do occasionally - but whatever you do, do not make the plunge off the ledge to becoming a villain. Otherwise you may find yourself on my bad side." ((Post order is now: Kaula > Radasha > Letu > @tokoz))

Radasha smiled at Kaula thanking her for looking after Letu a bit. "Well I couldn't let the girl starve....A hungry Saiyan just isn't right." she said, chuckling. She quieted as Walker told his story. About SSE soldiers trying to take over a planet, and him taking them out, a monarch named Plato, and his Daughter-in-law Majin wanting to abs- Wait. "You have a kid?!" she blurted out as the thought hit her. A kid who was married apparently. She then cleared her throat. "Hrm!....Sorry..." she murmured, as he continued his story. After it was over and Kaula began laying into him she sighed.
"Kaula, he was being protective of his family. Heavy handed maybe but...Hell people have killed for worst reasons. And let's not forget I used to be in an occupation that involved killing....Trust me, my kill count is much higher. You could lecture me but I'd just tell you not to talk to your mother that way" she said, smirking, eyeing the younger Saiyan. "I seem to remember you calling me the 'best momma ever' a few times regardless..."
She noticed Kaula starting to fade and sighed. "Already?....Well I hope you come back soon..." she said, walking over to give her one last hug. "We could find somewhere good to eat to celebrate when you do...maybe throw a party..." she said, chuckling a bit, before resting her hand on Kaula's head. She didn't want Kaula to go now but she knew she'd be back. She'd be anticipating her return.
