[Thread Power Level: 81,071]"She said the Northern Scar... Well here I am."
Riku's eyes scanned the area, his scouter analyzing the things around him. No power levels were visible at the moment, meaning Habana had ditched the planet or she had yet to arrive. Checking the time, Riku had realized there were a couple of hours left before the week was officially up. Hovering over a desolate island the saiyan closed his eyes and waited for the saiyan commander to arrive. This would either be Riku's moment to prove his worth and defeat the commander, or still prove his worth but fall at the hands of the Saiyan Empire. Staring back in the direction of the village he sighed. He had left Floot in charge of protecting the villagers and watching over Namek until he returned. Hell...IF he returned. Arms crossed Riku wondered what he could do to get out of this situation. He could run, but what would that prove? At best, Habana would have some mercy on him, but then again she did seem to have a hunger for his blood. The idea made him go into deeper thought. "From our encounter...Habana seemed to have been trying to...get me to lose my cool. She was basically trying to get in my head and make me attack her, I think. Well, it's a good strategy. She wouldn't be Commander if she wasn't smart enough to hold herself down and try to bring her opponent to their own demise. She won't get me, though. I learned to contain my emotions for a much longer period of time." That was true. Riku had actually been trained to ignore pretty much anything that would get him out of his safe zone. His teachers always told him that no matter who he faced, he could never allow their words to pierce his mind. He had to learn to block it all out. Thinking about this, ideas began to race through Riku's mind. "From the looks of it, the topic of the Natto Force defecting really enraged Habana...She let out a lot of emotion. It didn't make much of a difference when she tried to hide it... I could tell she was just waiting for a reason to break me." Wanting to dwell a little further on this, Riku descended and sat on the desolate island. He crossed his legs and interlocked his fingers then leaned forward onto them, staring into the green water. "Maybe I can somehow get Habana to get emotional again, but maybe in a different way. It seemed like she cared for the Force... Maybe she still feels something. Then again, she did seem pissed at them, even though their dead. Less Aspa, who didn't defect but died. Come to think of it...Aspa spoke rather highly of Habana... Occasionally. Maybe that's how I can get to her... I'm not sure. Either way, I'll be going into a deadly fight, so I'd better get in my zone."Relaxing his mind Riku closed his eyes and simply inhaled and exhaled. He kept himself at ease and calm doing this. He sat there simply inhaling and exhaling for a while, and the hours left came ticking down. It would soon be time to confront the saiyan Commander, Habana. Queen Habana

It had been a long week since she had first arrived on Namek, much of Habana’s time since her arrival had been spent zipping around from project to project working to establish a better connection between the Empire and Namek, thus far it at least seemed that things were going pretty well, the warriors of the capital were enjoying the facility well enough within a bit of time and with there help word would likely spread to the smaller villages that dotted Namek that the facility was open and available to them. Of course a lot of Habana’s efforts were almost simply distractions for her, she was trying to keep herself occupied so that her mind would not wander back to the thought of today. A week ago she’d met with a traitor, not just someone who had betrayed the Empire but someone who had been apart of a direct betrayal on herself. She’d wanted so very much just to tear him in half and be done with it. But as the conversation had gone on with her and Riku shouting at each other and the Namekian Sabika doing his best to play mediator she’d made a snap decision. She gave him the week to get things sorted so that he could face his judgement, in the moment it had felt like the most difficult choice in her life but afterwards while speaking with her mother and Maeve it had become much easier to accept the necessity of it Namek was unstable at the moment and if Riku was at all a good leader to the warriors he would need time to set things in order and if he DIDN'T then it would only prove Habana right, that he was a cowardly traitor now just as he had been back on Earth. Presently Habana was leaning against the Eclipse while Jala, Gin and Akushi were handling the training facility the trio had expressed a wish to join her for the confrontation but Habana had put her foot down and given an order for them to remain behind. Partially it was to protect them even as powerful as Jala was Riku still had a lot more strength and there was alwaya a chance he could use her against him. Akushi and Gin had even less ability to defend themselves and so the trio were better served aiding the Namekians. After all unless Riku possessed several magnitudes of additional hidden power Habana was not the one in danger he could very well harm her in some manner if things came to blows but actually kill her? No that was not possible as far as she saw things. Reaching out with her senses Habana could feel a mildly familiar energy signature out in the north, Riku had not managed to sneak off world. Habana sighed and removed her scouter tossing it into the eclipse the device would not be necessary for the coming battle and would likely only be a potential hindrance if Riku managed to damage it in some way. With that Habana would take off at top speed in Riku’s general direction her form flickering briefly a few times as she reached her peak speeds once she reached the sea she simply continued purple platforms of energy forming beneath her feet to give her the appearance of running on the water, within a few moments she would arrive on the island Riku had chosen several feet away from where Riku was standing. “Well I suppose I can say you’ve exceeded my expectations by actually showing up” She said crossing her arms over her chest as she looked the warrior over, a bit stronger than last they had met but nothing particularly dangerous.

The saiyan waited silently, eyes closed still. After waiting for another hour his scouter began to beep, a high power level flaring to life, and heading straight towards him. "Well, good to know she's punctual." As the power level came closer, Riku realized that there was only one this time. It seemed Habana knew Riku alone could handle her companions, which meant he could use them to his advantage. Riku shrugged, he wasn't that kind of person. Staring straight ahead he noticed a figure forming in the distance. The figure appeared to be walking on water, but after staring long enough he realized it was using ki to appear to walk on water.
The figure stopped several feet away from the Caste leader, folding its arms as it projected its voice. Riku finally saw, it was Habana. The Commander's voice reached out to him, her greeting rather uncomforting. "You know, in another situation I'd probably tell you I'm glad to see you. This is not that situation." Stretching for a brief moment, Riku paced forward. He stared at Habana, his eyes meeting hers. The tension had already increased, and it seemed soon they might be engaged in combat. Taking a brief moment to converse, Riku spoke, his voice coming off calm.
"Looks like you won't have any backup. That's good. So tell me, Habana, what are you planning to do? Just whoop my ass right here and now? Throw me in your space prison? From the sound of things you clearly thought I wouldn't show up. Believe me, things are a lot different now. I'm not turning my back on the Namekian people. They need a leader. I'm the only leader they have at the moment. And if you haven't noticed, just look around. This planet has suffered so much. They've gone through so much turmoil. And I would honestly say that for the time I have been leader, things have slowly but surely gotten better."
He let himself drag on until that point. There was no point in negotiating at this moment, Habana most likely didn't come here for that. Sighing, Riku cracked his neck lightly and folded his arms. "I'll tell you this once. I don't plan on being held in your worthless prison. So if what you want so bad is vengeance, then go ahead. However, I don't plan on going down that easily. I've broken ties with the Empire, and that will never change. So bring me down, Habana. Even if you defeat me here, I will keep fighting. Until every bone in my body is broken if need be. And I will protect the Namekian people at ALL costs."
He relaxed his shoulders and unfolded his arms, his eyes staring straight into Habana's. "What do you say, "Commander Habana?"

“I don’t need backup, bringing them here would only put them at risk” Habana stated flatly deciding at least for now not to start in on Riku too heavily by making the accusation that she had not brought anyone specifically because she did not trust him not to use them against her “I suppose I can respect that you have come alone as well” Habana stated as she once again expanded her senses just to make sure that Riku HAD actually come alone, even if he had not it was unlikely she would be in any sort of danger but it was still better to be forwarned of the risk it would as well give her more ammunition against him.
“Namekians are well known for their ability to survive great harm, just as an individual can reform a lost limb the Namekian people will also survive and grow strong again without you. I’ve taken a more direct interest in ensuring the strength of Namek in the face of it losing you, they will find someone capable of leading the warrior clan or with any luck a new Guru will be appointed to give them better guidance.” Habana spoke her words clearly indicating that she already considered Riku’s removal from Namek to be a forgone conclusion.
“You may have made things better, but you have also put the Namekian people in great danger, you knew you were a traitor to a galactic force far larger than Namek and while Namek might not be the most popular world to visit it IS a well known world. It was inevitable that the Empire would find you here. If I were a worse person, if I were the person you seemed to believe made up the Empire then I could have far more easily vaporized the Capital with you in it.”
“You’d think someone as invested in ensuring Namek’s safety would be a bit less interested in allowing a fight that could very well put Namek in danger from happening on its soil. You could make things far more simple and just surrender and be placed in Knutts, but I think we both know that won’t actually happen because that is the cost you DONT want to pay. So I’ll give you an opportunity.” Habana would take a step back away from Riku and spread her arms wide “Hit me with your best shot”

Riku nodded, agreeing to the fact that Habana didn't need back up, but Riku took it as though she knew he could possibly use them against her. Riku opened his arms and looked around, signaling that all there was besides them was a lot of islands and the green sky and green water. "If you don't see anyone now then you probably won't see anyone when this is over. I don't need anyone to get involved, this was something I brought onto myself and something I'll finish myself. "
Riku eyed the saiyaness as she brought up how even with Riku being removed from his position, the Namekian people would learn to deal with it and would move forward like they always have. Riku felt that was true, but he didn't want to give that up. He had taken a liking to the Namekians, and neither one of them knew when a new leader who was capable of being a leader would show up. Riku shrugged off the commander's next inquiry, stating that Riku knew he was a traitor and that he would be tracked.
Riku then stared straight into Habana's eyes. "I don't want to fight on this planet, the Namekians don't need that. However, as you stated, I don't intend on giving myself up, so there is no other remedy. " As Habana told Riku to give her all he's got, the saiyan smirked and got in a fighting stance.
"Sure thing, m'lady. Just don't think I'll show any remorse. I won't kill you, but I'll give you a nice firm ass whooping. And I don't mean that sexually at all." Riku shot forward at incredible speed, aiming to hit Habana in the jaw with an uppercut.

Habana was pleased with the confirmation that Riku was not alone, if the fight did get to a level where she would need to exercise lethal force she was not entirely fond of the idea of accidentally killing a Namekian on top of the fact that it was unlikely that any would quite understand the level of danger they were in there were also the fact that Habana killing random native Namekians who were not actively fighting against Namek would NOT look good at all. At the very least it seemed that Riku held enough saiyan pride to not hide behind the warrior caste, if he truly was a good leader to them then they very likely WOULD stand at his side if he called for them to do so. Habana remained silent as Riku offered his disinterest in potentially harming the planet but still not being willing to surrender, it was from Habana’s perspective the ‘best’ option he had assuming he had any understanding of the difference in power between them, then again perhaps he simply didn’t? The gap between them would in theory allow her a lot of leeway in ensuring that the battle could not actually endanger Namek, now though she’d see what Riku had to offer, arms wide awaiting his attack Habana sighed at the other saiyan’s crude comment as she watched him shift as he prepared to attack, a weaker warrior would likely have had difficulty keeping track of his movements he was quite fast though that was not entirely surprising considering his power. In an instant he had closed the distance between them and thrown a hard uppercut directly at her jaw an attack Habana made no movement to counter or avoid just as she had offered, the impact caused a small burst around them as two incredibly powerful forces connected cracking the ground a bit however while the impact did a number on the ground Habana appeared entirely unfazed by the strike. Her eyes slowly rolled to look down at the offending limb then back to Riku’s face “I said hit me with your BEST shot” Habana said and then with a swift move Habana would attempt a hard backhand aimed to hit Riku’s cheek a move more intended to smack him away from her rather than to put him out of action.

"Why did I expect that attack to do anything but piss her off... Fuck."
Staring up at the saiyan commander, who had simply tanked the punch, Riku sighed in disappointment. What he expected to happen next was exactly what Habana did, send him away. Riku was sent flying from Habana's slap. The caste leader managed to manuever in the air to keep himself from crashing into anything. He stabilized himself and stared back at Habana.
Responding to her words he chuckled, more to sound cool then to try to be intimidating. "What fun would it be to go all out from the start? It would just be a sad fight." Riku cracked his neck slightly and motioned Habana towards him.
"Come on then Commander. Show me what you can do." ------- 3/3 KP

“You see saying that implies..” Habana began speaking as Riku took his stand doing his very best to look as strong as possible after her counter attack which he had surprisingly managed to stabilize himself quickly against preventing himself from causing too much damage to the landscape, the brief pause as Habana spoke was followed by her taking a step forward and then tearing forward at her top speed Riku was likely strong enough to catch the general path she moved in as Habana was simply moving in a straight line at him.
“That this fight WONT be sad” She said as she reappared before him curling her right hand into a fist the fist would begin to glow raditing Habana’s violet energy just before she took a swing at Riku, her first ‘attack’ had been a simple one a test to see if he could at least survive basic hits, now she’d see how well he could fair against a genuine attack, the most basic level of the Kinetic Strike aimed directly at his midsection.

Riku stared at Habana as she charged straight towards him. The power gap between them was obvious, and once again she showed it as she came within reach of him in mere moments, demonstrating how fast she could be. The caste leader knew that he probably would fail to dodge the attack, but still, taking it head on would be stupid. Riku prepared himself, throwing his arms to Habana's fist. His arms took the impact, but the force of her attack still managed to push him back.
The saiyan stopped himself from going back any further and shook his head. He looked back at the saiyan commander and gave her a small smirk. "Ya know... You underestimate me too much. Yeah, your power level is higher, but it doesn't mean you're gonna have an easy fight. So, how about from now on, you assume you're fighting an equal opponent. It would make things SO much more intriguing."
With those words the saiyan leaped into the air and flew towards Habana. He extended his right fist and intended to strike Habana in the jaw with it. It was still a basic attack, but this time he would be ready to follow through. If the attack were to land at all, he would attempt to kick Habana in the abdomen in order to knock her back. ------------- 3/3 KP

Habana raised an eyebrow as Riku spoke still reeling a bit from taking her attack he was surprisingly less worse off than she had expected, he chided her on underestimating him and told her to treat him like an opponent of equal power that it would make things more intriguing to which Habana simply shook her head slowly.
“You’re wrong Riku. If I treated you like a genuine threat right now… you’d be dead. I need to know, CAN you feel energy? Do you understand the separation in power between us? If I went super saiyan right now I’d break you in half before you could even realize what was happening, faster if I went all out and used my preferred variation of the transformation”
“But if you are so intent on an intriguing fight where I treat the fight like it matters how about we make things interesting, I’ll pull back my power set it somewhere in the ballpark of yours so around ninety thousand to your eighty five thousand I’ll only use my super saiyan forms if you use whatever bastardized version of the transformation you have. But if I do this when I win when you’re well and truly beaten, you come with me and go to Knutts.” Habana made her offer, if Riku wanted a real fight and an actual chance to win surely he’d take it.
“Otherwise I’m going to make this quick and painful with essentially no opportunity for you to put up a fight let alone win. So what do you say?” Habana would cross her arms over her chest her power still currently at its full strength allowing her to treat what should be a tense mid battle exchange of words with little fear of being caught off guard, she had every confidence Riku had nothing he could do to her right now to make a difference.

Riku stared at Habana as she refuted his words, saying that taking this fight seriously would only bring his downfall faster. The Caste leader crossed his arms as the commander asked if he could feel the difference in power at all. Riku knew he was unable to FEEL the energy, but when he had his scouter on he did see the gap in their power. Habana was stronger than him by about one hundred and forty thousand. She could indeed break him with not much difficulty, but he still refused to be treated like a fly. "No, I can't feel it necessarily, but I know the power gap nonetheless. That's no excuse to not treat me like a threat."
The saiyan in black raised an eyebrow as she proposed a sort of deal. Habana would set herpower near his own and won't use any transformations, as long as Riku didn't either. If Habana beat Riku, which was highly likely, he would be brought to Knutts. Of course, Riku wanted to refuse, but his other option was less to his liking. Habana would simply bash his head in and kill him without bothering to make this a good fight. Riku rubbed his chin dramatically. He wasn't really thinking of his decision, he just liked being dramatic about it.
"Alright, I'll play your game. We fight as near equals. If omehow I win, you make up whatever story to your superior(s) claiming I'm dead, escaped, or just simply tell them I won my freedom. Just leave me, and the Namekians, alone."
Riku smirked and took a fighting stance. He cracked his neck slightly and waited for Habana to prepare herself. "Alright then, let's get this started again."

Habana sighed once again as Riku grew more aggravated with her assertions that she genuinely had no need to take him seriously, she could certainly understand WHY he was aggrivated by the notion but his continued attempts to argue that he actually should be treated as a threat were growing… tiresome, she could in all truth simply raise a moderate defense and just let Riku exhaust himself attacking her if she really wanted and if she utilized her transformation there would be nothing that he could do about it.
But luckily for the both of them Habana was far less petty than that, her offer seemed to take him off guard a bit and Riku made a show of thinking it over even though Habana felt certain he knew it really was his only option. “I’m glad to see that you appear to have some sense. If you do manage a victory then I will no longer personally seek you out and wont direct anyone else your way. I can make no real promises on other individuals who might find you doing anything though.”
“As for leaving the Namekians alone I have no intention of doing that, I’ve put some work into Namek since arriving here and those I’ve interacted with seem to appreciate the work I’ve done. It’s become a bit obvious that Namek needs help on some level and the Empire is willing to provide. Unless the people of Namek as a whole seek our departure you’ll just have to deal with it.” Habana stated firmly, Riku might hold a position of power but he was not a sole arbiter of the governance of Namek, combined with the fact that thus far the Empire had really only aided Namek and there wasn’t exactly much reason for the Namekians to seek the Empire’s departure.
Riku prepared himself for battle once again and Habana nodded, shifting herself into a proper fighting stance, as she did so she began reigning in her power dropping it from nearly a quarter million down to ninety thousand and quickly Habana felt the discomfort of being weaker than she needed to be. With little warning Habana would launch forward aiming to close the gap between them and begin with a quick series of punches aimed at Riku’s midsection. With her power reigned in it would be best to gauge how she fared compared to him now.

the Caste leader listened to Habana intently as she agreed to not seek him out if somehow he managed to defeat her, but she couldn't guarantee her colleagues wouldn't. Riku nodded, seeing that it was obviously fair, and she probably wouldn't tell them about the deal, so either way they would come after him.
She continued, saying she wouldn't leave Namek because she herself has invested a great deal here, helping the people prosper after the Mazoku's attempt to take over. Riku nodded once more, this time he brushed his hair off of his eye. "Fine. I would like it if the Empire weren't here, but if they are helping, more specifically if YOU are helping, I won't say no. However, if I find out the Empire abuses their trust, I will tear out of whatever hell you put me in and come for YOU."
Habana rushed towards him, throwing a barrage of punches at the Caste leader. Her power, even though Riku couldn't sense it, was closer to his, considering he could counter her more easily. Riku reeled back, evading punches and smacking them away. Riku took the opportunity to smack one of her fists down and used it as leverage to flip over her. He landed a few feet away, then dashed towards the commander and attempted to roundhouse kick her. The kick would easily be blocked, but right now he was just measuring just how close in power they were.

Habana was already mentally plotting out her preferred path to defeating Riku as he did everything he could to block and dodge her blows. The shift in her power provided him with far more opportunity to do so but every time he blocked one of her strikes Habana was doing her best to make a mental note of how quick he moved compared to herself in order to make her next attack more likely to hit. With how little offense Riku was putting in against her attacks she had to assume he was doing something similar, evidently though he’d reached a point where simply blocking and dodging was not ideal anymore as he knocked away one of her strikes and preformed a quick flip landing a few feet behind her, were she at her full strength Habana was certain she would have already been turned around to face him before he landed but now that they moved at roughly the same pace as Habana wheeled around to keep on target she saw that Riku was coming in for an attack of his own a roundhouse kick, she raised an arm high to block it allowing the kick to connect. Habana grit her teeth in annoyance as a spark of pain flared through her arm. She had no interest in letting Riku set the pace of the fight as that was not a particularly ideal situation to be in so she’d just have to ramp things up even faster. “HRAH” Habana growled sending a quick pulse of energy down into her right fist as she swing a swift punch aimed at Riku’s jaw, the pulse would cause her fist to glow purple and if the blow landed it would produce a small amount of explosive force on top of being a hard strike. ---- [ 2 / 3 ] [N1] Kinetic Strike | 33% of 90,000 | 29,700 Coming at Riku

Riku was glad to see that his speed wasn't all that slow now, successfully preventing Habana from dodging. Instead, the saiyaness threw her arms high above herself and blocked the attack. For a moment Riku thought he saw a pained face when his kick connected with Habana's arms. A small smirk escaped him as he attempted to distance himself from the commander. However, it seemed as though his opponent wouldn't be taken aback so easily, for she swiftly powered up a fist engulfed in ki and delivered a blow to Riku's jaw. The warrior felt the blow like a hammer to the skull and was thrown back. Riku rolled on the grown like a rag doll, his jaw aching in pain. As he came to a halt on the blue grass, he slowly stood, recuperating from the massive blow. It wasn't something that could put him down, but it was definitely possible to cause harm to him. The caste leader wiped his mouth, a stain of blood on his hand when he did. Riku gave a slight chuckle, then looked up and gave a sincere smile. "Good hit, darling. Didn't expect to see myself bleed so quickly, but no matter, this has just begun...again."Riku removed his warrior caste garments, revealing his black jumpsuit, which he used to wear under his saiyan armor. There was no change, he just felt a little lighter, a mere cosmetic and lenience change. With a small smirk he shot forward in a red spark and roared as he tightened his fist ready to unleash a barrage of punches. "EXPLOSIVE BURST!"
