[Thread PL: 272,863: PL suppressed: 1] Etoru sat on his bed in the lookout just staring at the floor. He swayed his legs back and forth, his face looking a bit glum. He sighed, a gloomy atmosphere filling his room. His birthday recently passed and...he didn't really feel like it was...well, his birthday. It seemed different. His Uncle was usually there to just give him a happy birthday Etoru! On top of that, his uncle would also say some snarky birthday comment like how he was going to one day be old or whatever. But...it was different this time. He waited here in this spot for almost two hours everyday for that moment too happen again, out of just some miracle but, well, he knew it wouldn't come. The child swung his legs back and forth before pushing himself off the bed. He walked out his room then down the spiral staircase. Finally, he reached the entrance, in his case, exit of the lookout, and walked outside. The child, having nothing better to do, strolled around the palace with his hands tucked into his pockets as he hung his head with a slight frown. "This blows..." He grumbled lowly. ---- Bing Gan Maeve Rakshasa Aiami Lin Defrosch Okay! So I just tagged the few people I thought would make sense to be there, if I didn't tag you, you could message me to join~ (there's a chance I could say no for whatever reason) So from what Ed's telling me, Defrosch has everyone waiting in a room (of course if you dont wanna be waiting in the room that's your call! )

[Thread PL: 78,483] [UT] Liquid Ki - Mist Active! Ki suppressed to 10000]
A little while ago, Defrosch had gone off somewhere, only to return with a friend of his; the Cricket Master Cerci Garyl; an odd human that was either adept at shapeshifting or had some zoanthrope genetics- she never really specified, and was genuinely amused with people guessing.
Recently, he had seen a crude doodle on a napkin in the lookout kitchen that Etoru had done; scrawled on it was a goofy misspelling of happy birthday (hapee boofdae, to be precise) but otherwise it looked like a typical scene, in it was a man, a dog and Etoru.
There could've only been two reasons for this; Either the clearly logical idea that Etoru's birthday was coming up- perhaps even recently passed- OR the highly unlikely and silly 'he just felt like doing a goofy napkin drawing of a birthday because he was bored'.
So, Defrosch and Cerci were secretly hauling items that you would find at a party; party hats, streamers, balloons, and other miscellaneous items. Thankfully, Defrosch knew how to bake a cake, so he had that going for him too... Unfortunately he wasn't that great at cake decorating so the cake in question looked rather plain, if not somewhat goofy (mostly because he decide on how to distribute the icing, and partially because of multiple suggestions being given).
These relatively easy tasks had gone on quite swimmingly; but the most difficult part was getting a special group of people up here. Defrosch was practically forced to be some kind of tactical super-genius in order for this to work... Getting in contact with them was a delicate operation, but above all, he was sincerely hoping nothing bad would come of Maeve or Bing seeing each other...
Today wasn't entirely about them, it was about Etoru. Defrosch knew that those two were very close to the boy, so he had to at least make the effort.
Cerci gave a thumbs up signal, meaning that everything was properly set up, Defrosch deep breath he looked over the room. "Hooy... Now how do we get him here..."
Alrighty, if this is a bit hard to work with let me know! I've left it as vague as possible~

Aiami was looking down at the cake, and while it did indeed look and smell delicious, it also looked a bit silly. Maybe Etoru wouldn’t notice? Hopefully his youth or his hunger would keep him from taking too close a look. Though, she did have to give credit where credit was due, Defrosch did a much better job than she ever could. She still wasn’t the best cook, something she was reminded of constantly in her travels.
At the sound of Defrosch’s voice, she looked up at the arcosian. She was a little taller than usual, inches being added onto her height by the festive, colorful party hat she was wearing. It clashed against her black gi, but terrible fashion taste wasn’t going to stop her from getting in the spirit of the party.
Placing a hand on her hip, Aiami angled her head to the left as she thought, eventually shrugging. “Perhaps he will wander in here? I’m sure he’ll smell the cake eventually. If not, we could make a bit of noise. It’s quiet enough he should be able to hear some knocking, right?”
She looked a little out of her element as she suggested her ideas, offering a weak smile once she was finished speaking.

[Thread PL: 285,269]
Kaula's feet touched down on the lookout, her power suppressed to roughly three hundred. She had done most of her flying here - having ended up near the west capitol when she exited the other world. Of course she made a quick stop for a chain, but she felt the present came out nice. And all the weird looks she got because of her halo were going to be worth it if Etoru liked her present.
The Saiyaness herself was in her King Kai outfit, a simple dark dress that had King Kai's symbol on her chest, complete with some simple green trim. She was also without her goggles, sword, and scarf which was a rather odd site. Instead she had a lanyard around her neck, with a laminated piece of paper that read "Day Pass" attached to it. In her left hand was a necklace chain with a light blue triangle. The triangle itself was slightly curved - akin to a shark fin - and appeared to be a slightly reflective stone.
"Right.. So.. I was dead. But now I am back. For a few days." she said to herself, rubbing the back of her head lightly, "Not sure.. If that'd make it worse or better or.. What? I dunno. Maybe I could just like.. Hide this somewhere for him and find a paper to write a note on then go visit mom or something.." the girl continued to mumble out.
That was till she glanced up, spying an Etoru walking out into the open. The girl braced herself for a moment, looking left.. Then Right. Nah, she was already out in the open. Couldn't hide now. She paused a second and went to wave with her left while she moved her other hand behind her back to hide the present.
"Hey!" she called out, "Been keeping up with your training little dude?" the halo'd saiyaness asked as she approached her friend. Nah. It wasn't weird that she was.. Well, technically, still dead. Nah. Not weird at all.

As Kaula made her way onto the lookout to approach Etoru, another was hurriedly rushing into the party room. Slipping in to the room while balancing two comically large parcels was Maeve Rakshasa, the pseudo 'owner' of the lookout. Despite her position, she unfortunately hadn't heard of the planned party till much later forcing her to scramble to prepare. For what little time that she had however she seemed to have produced two gifts that were brilliantly wrapped in some shiny blue foil paper. A custom she didn't quite understand but thankfully Mama Shrimp was more than happy to walk her through (multiple times.) The demoness surveyed her surroundings noting the various decorations and festive atmosphere of the room before she settled her gaze on the people gathered. Seeing a few familiar faces: Maeve smiled warmly and gave a gracious nod to Aiami, Defrosch and the strange elder who had decided to join them. She hurriedly set her parcels on one of the tables and quickly straightened out her outfit and managed to smooth any wrinkles she had gained in her mad dash to appear before the 'birthday boy' as Etoru was to be called. She was wearing her bright yellow maternity dress with the cutesy floral patterns and her black leggings that hugged her hips only to stop at her knees. It was casual but still nice enough for the occasion that was (most importantly) comfortable for her nearly 6 month old baby bump. Her pointed ears flicked a bit as she listened to the two fighters discuss how to get Etoru in there somehow, be it by waiting him out or otherwise and Maeve merely held a finger up as if to interject. She gave them a confident look that plainly said 'I've got this' before she inhaled, puffing her chest. "ETTTOOOOORRRRRUUUUUUUUU! GET IN HERE THIS INSTANT!" The pregnant demoness' voice bellowed out in a fierce roar of mock anger. She figured the best way to get the boy in there without having him suspect anything was to make him think he was in trouble. He would certainly be shocked to find that it was instead a gathering of friends with confections and gifts. That was how these surprise parties worked was it not?

Xitica flew through the sky. When Etoru had given her directions before, she had been surprised she missed such a thing. A long thick pole that went all the way up into the sky and ended in a large structure. Hell she'd been in the forest near here before. How'd she miss this? Either way, she knew of it now. Kami's Lookout. She had come to visit Maeve. It'd been a while. They hadn't had the chance to meet up again since their last encounter so Xi figured it was high time.
As she neared the lookout, she saw two figures. Her face broke out in a big smile. One of them was Kaula! She hadn't seen her in ages. Speeding up, she made a beeline for the female half-Saiyan. "Kaulaaaaaaa!~" she shouted, giggling and she went to tackle-hug her. "Where you been!?....and what's that thing above your head?" she asked. Apparently she hadn't heard the news of Kaula's death and just thought it was some weird thing. She waved to Etoru as she waited for Kaula to speak, "Hello to you too. hope you're staying out of trouble"
As she said that, she heard the shout. "Guess not"

Etoru continued to pace around the palace. He sighed loudly, his hands still tucked in his pockets of his coal colored sweat pants. It wasn't until he felt a familiar aura arrive at the lookout that he opened his eyes a bit. Etoru just shrugged it off. It was probably Ninjin or something. When he heard Kaula's voice call out to him, he turned around and looked at her with dull, bored eyes. "Yeah sure, I guess...whatever Kaula." The child turned around and continued to walk before he stopped in his tracks. Etoru pivoted fast, staring the Saiyaness dead in the eye. His gaze locked with hers. "Wait, Kaula...?!" His mouth was gaped open in surprise. A slow, quivering smile, grew on his face. "K-KAULA!"
The child ran towards her excitedly, laughing as he ran. He threw his arms around her waist and pulled himself in for a tight embrace. His cheek nuzzled against her dark dress. He couldn't believe it! She was alive! Arms still wrapped around her, he craned his neck up and looked at her face with wide, sparkling eyes. "I can't believe what I'm seeing! Y-You're alive! This means you managed to escape Zucceta right! So Reikiko Sensei got away! Oh man this is awesome!!!" He let go and twirled gleefully. His green serpent head band swaying in the air while he did so. "How'd you get away?! You must have a cool story...! And uh, why do you have a glazed donut floating over your head?" Etoru shrugged it off. It did make his mouth water though, but he wasn't going to ask for a bite. Now was a bad time.
Soon enough, he heard yet another voice! Familiar just like the last. Turning around, he saw the grey 'skinned' Majin appear. Looks like she followed his instructions after all~. She sped up going for a tackle hug at Kaula, leaving Etoru to just stare at them with a bemused expression plastered on his face. After she was done talking to Kaula, she turned to Etoru. He smiled brightly. "Hi Xicita! And mmmmhm~ I have!" At that moment, he literally jumped, hearing Maeve's shout from across the lookout. He gulped anxiously. "N-n-n-no! I have! I didn't do anything yet!" Etoru narrowed his eyes at Xicita. Did she...THAT WAS THE ONLY EXPLANATION! The little traitor! She snitched on him from that food incident! "You tattle tale! You told Maeve about the fries...! Traitor!" His eyes widened once more. He spent way too much time out here, Maeve was going to kill him!
Etoru bolted towards the entrance as fast as his little legs could take him. The child ran up the spiral staircase that looked seemingly endless, and entered one of the rooms on the first floor. He bolted in and stood erect in front of Maeve. A cold sweat ran down his neck. "Y-Yes M-Ms.Maeve!" He had his arms by his sides and looked at the floor, not daring too meet her fiery gaze. In fact...he was so frightened he didn't even notice any of the party decor. That was, at first. The boy smelled cake, and raised his eyes slightly. He saw Defrosch and Aiami, and some elder. He didn't know what was going on, not really having a birthday party before, that, and he couldn't really read the banners. Instantly, he looked back at the floor before Maeve snapped again. Oh boy...

Defrosch nervously ran his hands over his head dome as he paced around the front of the room. Aiami had decided to give some support but the Arcosian was going over so many thoughts at the moment, and at this point he was going to be overly critical of his plan. "I-I mean sure, perhaps he is curious enough. Uhh, do Saiyans have a heightened sense of smell? Gahhh!" He gurgled as he squashed his face. "Get it together, Defrosch, everything is fine..." Waving to Maeve as she entered, he made a mental note of the presents she had brought in. "Nice, all gifts accounted for..." Since he also was still focusing on nearby ki signatures, the Arcosian tapped his chin as he sensed a few others arrive to the Lookout from elsewhere. He had encountered them before; he recalled one belonged to a Majin that he had met around North Capitol during the rebuilding process, and the other however, felt off. Here, yet not quite here... With a little more focusing, he perked up as he realized that it belonged to Kaula. "Wait that doesn't feel-" The Arcosian was cut off when Maeve roared out to get Etoru's attention. There could've been worse ways, but this could work. Probably. "Rriiiight..."Sure enough, Maeve's plan had worked and the young hybrid had entered the room with an apologetic expression. Defrosch looked around, lost on what to say at this point. Everything happened so suddenly! Cerci on the other hand, decided to take matters into her own hands, she picked up a pair of party whistle things, wedged one into Defrosch's mouth-guard, resulting in a very comical fweeeeeeet sound. "C'mon you lot~! The guest of honor is here now!"

“I’m sure it will be fine, Defrosch! We’ll figure something out.” Aiami returned Maeve’s nod with a bow of her own, and noticing the presents she carried, made her think to check on her own. Indeed, the package was still where she left it on the table. It was a simple thing, coarse brown paper loosely tied around with a piece of string. She didn’t remember any lessons her family might have provided about gift wrapping, and her gift didn’t come with an option to be complimentarily wrapped. She only hoped that it would make the young Etoru happy, as she always had the worst anxiety when it came to picking out presents for her friends and family.
The young woman visibly half-jumped at the sudden explosion of sound coming from the pregnant woman. She hadn’t expected such a noise to come out of her, and it clearly caught her off guard if the look on her face was any indication. When she settled down again and the ringing stopped she looked over at Maeve and offered a small grin. “At the very least, there is one thing you need not worry about, and that is that you have the lungs of a mother.”
As she looked around for a place to hide, Etoru entered, putting an end to that plan. Following the Cricket Master’s lead, she grabbed a party whistle and blew out a cheerful, silly whistle of her own. Aiami moved so she could crouch and enter the child’s field of vision, giving him a wide, beaming smile.
“Happy, happy birthday, Etoru!" She cheered. "How old are you now, anyways?”

Kaula didn't budge from the tackle hug - however what she did do was wrap a single arm around Xitica to keep her by her side as she smiled a little bit. "Uhh.." Kaula paused a bit as she had numerous questions pile on to her. "It.. Is.. A.. Special membership hat that only I can wear for right now." Kaula said with a slow nod. "Me and.. Reikiko.. Are on a.. Different planet.. Very far away. Doing.. Special training for just us." the girl explained. She.. Well, she wasn't completely lying, not yet anyway.
Kaula, however, even flinched when she heard Maeve shout for Etoru. The girl went to chuckle a little bit. "OOooh. Boy, you are in so much trouble. But I'll tell you later." the girl said with a nod. She decided to watch him leave for now, glancing towards Xitica with a slight smile. "Haven't seen you in a while. Hope you're okay." she said with a chuckle. If the majin didn't stop her she'd start walking behind Etoru, likely with the majin.
Of course, when they came in the room behind Etoru, the girl chuckled out a little bit as she went to clap her hands. "Happy birthday, Etoru." the Saiyaness simply said with a slight smirk, going silent for the time being after that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETORU!
As the boy entered the room party poppers rigged to blow popped above him and filled the air with ribbons and confetti. Everyone cheered out in harmony wishing the boy well before they happily blew their party horns in a choir of silliness. The demoness meanwhile gave the boy a gentle but overwhelmingly warm smile as she looked down to him. She placed a surprisingly soft hand on his shoulder before pulling him into a tight hug. "Happy Birthday Etoru." She said giving a little giggle before releasing her captive. "I was told that these days of Birth are quite important to your kind, so Mr. Defrosch went to great lengths to put this all together for you." She gave the boy a playful poke on the nose and let out another giggle. "So relax and enjoy yourself E-to-ru~" She spaced the name out in a cutsey sing song manner to parody the often drawn out call she made when she was upset with him. Her headfins would twitch up and down as she felt a familiar ripple in the flow. Her golden eyes would dart from person before settling on the figure she thought she wouldn't see for a long time. "K-Kaula?!" She called out. Dropping her party horn. While the others seemed preoccupied with Etoru (as they honestly should have been) Maeve would make her way to the door and pull the saiyaness into a hug. Her eyes were bubbling with emotional tears (brought mostly on by her pregnancy.) But it was clearly obvious just how happy and excited Maeve had been to see her 'rival.' "H-how...Why..." She bet her lip, the urge to punch her in the arm nearly overtaking her as she kept her close. "How come you didn't come by sooner?! I-idiot!" The moody dragoness growled her tail flicking back and forth in irritation. She forced a pout, which lasted for about 2 seconds before she pulled her back into another warm embrace. "I-I thought..." She couldn't find the words...

Xi blinked at Kaula's explanation. "Hat....? But it's floating above your head..." she said, reaching up to swat at it a bit, before she was pulled into a hug by the Saiyan. She giggled, hugging her back as Kaula began to walk towards the building Maeve's voice came from. She looked at Etoru with a quizzical expression when he accused her of telling Maeve. "But....How?....I haven't been here before.." she said, scratching her head in confusion. When they entered the room, the party poppers caused the Majin to eep out in shock, a bit of steam escaping as she jumped a bit.
She then giggled, clapping along with Kaula, watching Maeve hug the hybrid girl. Seemed she wasn't the only one who hadn't seen Kaula in a while. "Hi Maeve!" she greeted the swordswoman. They hadn't really got the chance to meet up again after the last time, so the Majin was happy to get the chance to see her again. She then turned to Etoru. "Happy Birthday I suppose. Sorry I didn't realize.....Darn I didn't bring anything...." she murmured, rubbing her chin in thought.

Etoru heard the little birthday streamer sounds and blinked confused. Guest of honor...? Happy birthday Etoru? What was....going on? Etoru looked around with a blank, bemused expression plastered to his face. His tiny mouth gaped open in surprise. He looked up at Maeve and was about to ask what was going on before he was pulled into a tight hug. "eek!" He squirmed a bit, not wanting to be hugged with everyone watching. It was embarrassing...! He was a warrior! Not some baby! When she let him go, he was going to protest...but she continued to speak. "...W...Wait..." Etoru looked around surprised. "You....You guys did this....all for me....?" He blinked, extremely confused. He never had anyone set something like 'this' up before. Before he knew it, his eyes started to well up in tears. Feeling some run down his chubby little cheeks, he immediately wiped them away with his forearm.
Etoru smiled faintly. He felt a warm fuzzy feeling inside. It was...welcoming. Aiami crouched down to his height wishing him a happy birthday. Etoru looked at her blankly. "Um...S-Seven..." While saying so, he pulled out his fingers to count to confirm. Holding out seven fingers, he smirked. 'Yep!" He turned to Xicita and giggled. "It's okay...I didn't realize either...but why is all the decorations here. It's just a birthday right....my uncle only told me happy birthday, and maybe take me out for some food, but nothing like...this. I dunno." Shrugging it off, he looked up at Kaula. "And I can't believe you managed to find Kaula on that far away planet she and Reikiko live on! That's just so flipping cool for her to be here right now! Thanks guys...!"
After that, he ran around the table and towards Defrosch. Coming to a halt, he looked up at the Acrosian with sparkling eyes. "Mr.Defrosch, you really did all this for me! You're the coolest! This is so awesome! No, YOU'RE awesome! Oh!" Tilting his head he looked behind Defrosch to greet the elderly woman. "And thanks to you too lady!" Literally almost bouncing up and down in joy and excitement, he began to question the acrosian again. "What now? What now?"

As the group made the uproarious chant to greet the young Etoru, Defrosch was almost left in the dust, but thankfully he had that party whistle stuck in his mouth guard, with one mighty breath, his party whistle made the loudest noise among the rest of its kind. Unfortunately in doing so, the whistle was launched like a bullet away from Defrosch, and it would've bounced around causing pandemonium had Cerci not caught it between two fingers as a result of her quick instincts. "Hah, steady on, Defrosch, don't go overboard~" Cerci chuckled as she handed the whistle back to Defrosch, to which the Arcosian replied with a friendly scoff. "Well don't jam a party whistle in my face then Cerci, ya weirdo."
Apparently Etoru was more used to something small, Defrosch seemed to have gone a bit overboard, but Etoru was still very enthusiastic and happy about about it, and thats all the gathered group really could've wanted. Etoru even went so far as to assume that they had brought Kaula along from... A far away planet? Defrosch looked over to Kaula, a bit confused about what Etoru had meant, but likely didn't catch her eye as Maeve rushed over and caught her in a hug. Perhaps it wasn't important as long as they were all here at the moment anyway.
Defrosch was slightly caught off guard when Etoru zipped over to him around the table bombarding the Arcosian with compliments, causing him to awkwardly scratch the back of his neck. "O-oh, well, I mean... I just took a guess! I just saw one of those napkin drawings you did... I figured 'why would Etoru draw this specifically' so.. Yeah, this was the result!" He really wasn't used to being the recipient of this form of attention and it showed quite clearly. "I can't take all the credit though. I had help."
Cerci stepped forward when Etoru called to her, she bowed gracefully. "Hello there young sir Etoru, I'm Cerci Garyl, current master of the Cricket Martial Arts school, it is a pleasure to meet you~" Even though her posture and mannerisms were that of someone very mature and experienced, it would become clear on closer inspection that she could be no older than 25 at most. "Well, I would suggest either opening your gifts or having something to eat- perhaps we could cut that cake? Defrosch, what do you think?" Defrosch nodded, all of these were logical options, however... "I feel as though it is best to let Etoru decide. So what d'you wanna do first bud?"

A far away planet? Aiami glanced up at the newcomers and looked them over. Well, one of them was certainly a race she had never met before. Some kind of... marshmallow people? Kind of darker than marshmallow, but the point stuck. That was strange, but she had gone through enough to not be dumbstruck, at least. The other looked normal enough, but she had a halo sticking over her head? An odd fashion choice, the monk thought.
Turning back to Etoru, Aiami couldn’t help but let out a happy laugh at his excitement. She counted the fingers and nodded. “Congratulations! You’re lucky, I didn’t have a party this big when I was seven. And definitely not this diverse.” At hearing he had never really had a proper party, she gasped. “Really? Well, birthdays are supposed to be big events for you, and your friends!"
Standing once more, she took a closer look at Cerci. Cricket Martial Arts? She had never heard of it, and while that was exciting, there were more pressing matters at hand. The monk would sate her curiosity later. After the choice between gifts and cake had been given, Aiami looked down at Etoru and not-so-subtly whispered down to him. “I recommend cake. Defrosch worked really hard on it.”
