A mighty warship sat quietly at the bottom of a canyon, its location a perfect hiding spot for a machine as large as itself. Inside this massive warship, Breech worked tirelessly on a project he was nearly finished with. A relatively fresh corpse sat on an operating table, his chest cut open as Breech carefully lowered a large, artificial heart into the chest cavity. With the wiring already in place, the heart snapped perfectly into position, beginning to beat as it if were a real heart. Breech quickly deactivated it, however. He didn't need his creation to awaken early, after all.
"Very good. All I need to do now is install the failsafe's in his programming and we should be--Hmm?"
Breeches attention was taken away from him, as the sound of ringing came from his internal machinery. It seemed he was being called to the Meeting Hall, and it was Katsu who was calling for him. Perhaps he was intent on making a report? Whatever the reason, there was no point in making his cohort wait. He quickly made his way to the floor above, where the Meeting Hall resided.
In mere moments, the Android arrived, his eyes scanning the room quickly. The large, cold, metallic room was incredibly large, albeit relatively void of decoration on the walls, save for a single banner donning the S.C.A.R logo sitting lifelessly at the back of the room. In the center rested a long table, with a myriad of chairs. This room was designed for meetings, though for a much larger group than S.C.A.R currently possessed. It seemed Breech had high hopes for the future.
The Doctor quickly made his way to the end of the room, standing in front of the metal table, as a large orb descended from the ceiling. The orb began to beep, before beginning to connect the call. After a few moments, a hologram of Breech would appear in the center of Katsu's bedroom. The hologram bowed politely to Katsu. "Greetings Katsu Yuda. My apologies for not keeping you up to date all this time, but until recently I've been preoccupied with our... Integration, into Konatsian society. It's a slow process, but we'll break through eventually. Did you need me for something, or was this just a courtesy call?"

Oh good. It seems that Katsu had managed to send the signal properly. The image of Dr Breech's hologram appeared in the room, and Katsu stepped away from the console to give Dr Breech his customary greeting, his left hand rising up into something between a wave and a salute as he gave a grin, “Dr Breech, Yo. Just performing a status report. Firstly, your lab is still in peak condition; constructing new Cycloids as per the usual. You'll have an army to replace the one with you by the end of the week.
“Furthermore those supplies I'm requisitioning from the BBA have begun to arrive at my own lab. With any luck I'll be able to assemble a ship to match the one you left Earth on in about a month. I'm prepping a multitude of those new Rejuvenation Chambers we designed as well as a full Robotics Maintenance suite. I've already received the parts for and built an improved Gravity Chamber over the one in your ship; its maximum threshold is one-hundred-fifty times Earth Gravity.” Katsu's voice was a bit different than how he normally spoke to Noxa, she might find. It was a bit more crisp and cleaner, no nonsense and all business. Katsu could act professional when he desired to; talking to a fellow man of science was often when he desired to.
Katsu would motion for Noxa to come and stand next to him after that, having the curvaceous Bio-Android come within the sight of the hologram of Dr Breech. “A bit more importantly is the woman here. As you can see just by looking at her, she's a Bio-Android. She assited me with recovery of the artifact you see adorning my head currently, an archive on ancient magical lore.” Katsu motioned to the steel circlet laying snugly on his head as if it was especially fitted for him before continuing, “Her full title is “Nexus of Xenobiotic Apex” or Noxa for casual use. I have invited her to join our cause here and she has accepted. Now I'll let her better introduce herself.”
Giving a quick half-bow Katsu would step to one side, letting Dr Breech and Noxa give their full attention to one another in order to sort out Noxa's position with SCAR itself...

While Doctor Katsu spoke Noxa listened. She relaxed, kicking back after a satisfying meal.
As usual he had a lot to say.
The way he described things changed the image cemented in Noxa’s mind quite a bit. The woman previously held onto the idea of some sort of some weak-willed power-brokers or bankers leading the organization — leading SCAR. However, when Katsu took his time to further describe the upper echelons Noxa’s perception of the group took on an entire new shape. His description of ‘Dr. Breech’ seemed to draw a lot of parallels between the enigmatic subject and Katsu himself. Both harder workers; both men of science; both very active in their respective fields.
Noxa made a mental note to watch herself around that one. She wouldn’t want to piss him off. After all, why would she only have one Katsu ally when she could have two? Besides, if her imagination painted a proper picture she was sure this ‘Dr. Breech’ would be a very interesting fellow on his own, much like Katsu was. Maybe she could learn a lot from him too. To wrap up her own assumptions in a tidy bow, Noxa came up with one final picture of what she imagined Breech would look like. An old, robot Katsu is all she could come up with.
The full Noxa resumed her lazy indulgence. Laying back with her fingers interlocked behind her head the woman moved to cross her legs, eyes wandering to the ceiling as Katsu resumed his speech. When he moved to do the dishes she did not stand; she did not offer to help. Her heels eventually found themselves atop the table. She listened still, her imagination running wild with the pictures Katsu painted; her imagination desperately attempted to fill the canvas as best as it could.
‘Contagion.’ She found herself rewinding the name of the “de facto leader” in her mind. Picturing contagion. He… Was harder to imagine. Noxa soon found herself giving up entirely. She didn’t know what a hedgehog was, much less how demonic DNA would manifest itself on a genetic freak like herself. She found herself imagining herself as a puddle — but with horns. And quills. Her attempts to create a solid image of Contagion were cut short. The red hair stretched down, pushing its mistress up from her comfortable sitting position. Noxa didn’t want to get back up; but Katsu called. He led her to a specific spot, before disassembling the home in the blink of an eye.
Capsule technology was really amazing. In a split second the entirety of the home had vanished, leaving Katsu only with a compact little thing. Then, finally, once the capsule had been tucked away, they got a move on. Once more telekinesis proved to be an incredibly useful power — one Noxa began to admire more and more. With the fire orbs dispatched they continued onward. She had to admit: it’d be nice to be topside again. This place, even with the source of power uncovered, was still a little… Overwhelming.
Though thankfully, as they moved, the information didn’t stop. Katsu resumed his speech as he collected his robotic toys.
The Woman was surprised to learn that there were a few similarities between herself and this ‘Master of War’. Zyajin seemed to have been created for a purpose not unlike her own. A living weapon with a purpose. Though Noxa strayed far, far from her intended purpose it seemed ‘Zyajin’ did not. Noxa couldn’t shake the feeling that meeting him would be a bizarre sensation — like looking into a mirror and seeing one of the other 299 progenitors that never were.
The possible assumptions of SCAR’s leadership were cut short. Finally, they reached the place where Noxa had first used to descend into this cavernous ruin. She watched Katsu leap, and bounce, and eventually fly. Noxa’s insectoid wings simply sprouted from her upper back, hidden behind her long red mane. Their short, triangular shape expanded. With a sudden spur of life the wings began to shimmer as they vibrated silently, somehow generating enough lift to send Noxa rocketing upwards.
As she soared updates Noxa breathed a sigh of relief. The air rapidly changed; she could put behind the musty, dusty, searing underground prison.
It wasn’t long until they reached topside that Katsu once again set the home out. Noxa could understand why he moved. That place was pretty oppressive. As they were once again lead within the home she took note of just how perfect everything was still set up — just as they left it!
Her assumption as to why they had fled the underground proved wrong. Apparently they’d done it for ‘reception’... Which left her a bit confused.
That confusion didn’t last. Within Katsu’s bedroom, among the controls, he began to do… Something.
It wasn’t until the flickering image of Breech appeared into the room! Now the redhead understood what he was trying to do. He was trying to called someone! It was a little while longer, but eventually a shimer took place in the middle of the room. From the manipulated photons an image was rendered. A man. With a brief inspection of the stranger’s visage she instantly came to the conclusion: Dr. Breech.
The beginning of Katsu’s speech confirmed her assumption. Noxa could feel herself straightening up just a bit more. This was it — this was the first time she’d be meeting this ‘Breech’ guy. He looked like a serious fella. Noxa had better not screw the pooch on this one.
The way Doctor Katsu’s behavior had changed only served to compound the idea that this was serious business. Most of the words exchanged between the two went over her head. Terms like ‘BBA’, ‘cycloids’... Noxa was unfamiliar with the jargon. She did her best to decipher the alien lexicon, but it wasn’t to any avail. It wasn’t until Katsu beckoned Noxa that her attention snapped back to he and his guest.
Noxa stiffly moved over to Katsu’s side, facing Breeches. Her hands were balled and straight down to her side. The redhead’s delicate brow was slightly furrowed; the hint of a scowl had taken over her expression. The mask she wore was just subtle enough that one could believe this was the default expression of a serious, stoic individual. Noxa kept her composure. Despite the image she projected — of a stand-offish, business-driven hardass— she was extremely nervous. A bead of sweat traced itself down the side of her face. Her heart raced as, for the first time, she felt herself being taken in the grip of social stress.
Katsu had already pretty much said exactly what was needed — what else was supposed to say? A prolonged silence stretched after Katsu’s ‘introduce yourself’ command. Then, he bowed away. That damned scientist had made this situation all the more difficult. With her proverbial ‘wingman’ gone Noxa was left to fly solo on this one — or, at least, that’s how it felt to her.
The lengthy silence was broken as Noxa cleared her throat.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
The words, despite her stiff demeanor, flowed effortlessly. Noxa didn’t attempt to emulate Katsu’s introductory bow; she simply stood there. Noxa attempted to push the thoughts of worry away, though that proved harder than she expected.
“I’m… Noxa.” Spoke the redhead, “I was created to be a part of a defence force; turn the tides on an advancing foe on a distant world. That didn’t stick. I came to Earth. I stumbled upon Doctor Katsu, and gave him a hand his attempt at retrieving some weird scepter… Thing.”
The woman swallowed hard, clearing her throat before continuing.
“He extended an offer: join this organization; join SCAR. With a little too much time in my hands I figured I could be some use to your cause — help out while I try to find a purpose.”
She kept her words vague, but the gist of it all was there.

As Katsu provided his report on affairs on Earth, a pleased smile grew on Breeches face. It was good to hear things were going smoothly on both ends of this operation. With a dry chuckle, Breech responded. "Excellent news, my dear boy! I'd like if you could postpone your departure from Earth for a short time, however. I have a few... soldiers, who are nearing completion on the planet, and I need a representative of SCAR to stay on Earth for them to rendezvous with. It shouldn't impede your progress much, assuming their calibrations are on schedule as my computers say."
Katsu continued speaking, explaining he'd met someone quite intriguing most recently. Yet another Bio-Warrior, though this one was known as NOXA. It was quite surprising how many of these gene-spliced creatures there were skulking around on Earth. Perhaps returning to the planet to look for more recruits sometime soon wouldn't be a horrid idea.
Soon enough, Katsu's introduction had completed, and the woman in question stepped into view. Her physique was marvelous, to say the least. She was clearly built for charming distraction as well as combative purposes. "I see... Quite the interesting young warrior you've found..."
An unpleasant silence followed. From that brief moment it was quite clear that this woman was not exactly the most professional. As much as she tried to hide it, there was the air of an amateur about her that was unmistakable. Her apprehensiveness in this moment was not unfounded, however. Breech was quite the intimidating fellow, after all.
Soon enough, the girl was able to find the courage to speak. Had it not been for her lacking haste at the start, Breech could have easily been fooled into thinking she had a more stern attitude. Breech bowed politely to NOXA as she introduced herself. "The pleasure is mine, Miss. I am Doctor Breech Aris, and I can tell you've got potential."
He gave her a curious look, brow furrowing as he leaned in a bit closer. After a moment, he pulled back slowly, offering his first task to the young warrior. "Very well then. I'd like to test your combat capabilities before sending you out on any official operations. Until we regroup on Konats, I want you to keep close to Katsu Yuda for now, and keep him safe. He's a valuable asset, after all."
The hologram of Doctor Breech slowly began to flicker away as the Good Doctor gave a simple wave of goodbye. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do."
Breech flickered out of sight, the only remnant of the call left being an image of the SCAR logo being projected into the center of the room...
Thread Exit! PL with Medium weights, if you would be so kind.

[OOC: Sorry it's short. Lack of Muse]
Standing to the sidelines as Breech and Noxa conversed, Katsu thought of what he was going to do next with the Archive sitting upon his brow. However when the Good Doctor decided to cut their conversation short Katsu gave a slightly bemused, ”Uh... Farewell then Dr Breech.” before the screen clicked to the SCAR logo. He had expected Dr Breech to have a much longer conversation with a potential inductee to the organization.
Frowning he turned his attention back to Noxa, trying to explain what he felt was a bit rude on Dr Breech's part, “Hrm. I didn't expect him to cut that so short. Most likely he truly is very busy; probably managed to find something interesting to work with on Konats... lucky bastard. Anyway; that is that.
“It appears your first mission coincides with our partnership. How fortunate. Oh and don't take offense to Dr Breech's decorum. As a Robotics Expert he views improvements wrought by mechanical sources in higher regard to organic ones; he'd have probably been more excited if you had some exotic piece of technology sticking out of your chest.” Katsu grinned and gave a quick chuckle at his banter.
With a step or two and a quick tap on the console Katsu turned the long-range communicator off, turning to leave the bedroom. He walked through the home out to the front entrance, stopping short. There were a few couches in this room, and Katsu sat down in one of them, inviting Noxa to sit where she liked, whether it was on the couch next to him or on the couch facing it from the opposite side of the room. Once they were settled in Katsu would ask, “Do you have any other questions for now? And also I have one for you. Do you want to learn how to sense Ki..?”

OOC: That’s fine! ^^ Don’t worry! Sorry about not posting earlier today; a few things came up n’ you know how IRL is… Anyway, here is a shiny new post! Being naive to social clues was one of the Bio Woman’s faults, thanks to that fact a few misconceptions were gathered from her meeting with Dr. Breech. Naturally, by the time the arduous encounter had been over Noxa let out a great sigh of relief. He bought it! Noxa’s lips spread as a big, toothy grin displayed itself on the Bio’s face. He totally bought it! Naturally, as she wasn’t called out, Noxa believed that Breech now saw her as an absolute stoic bad-ass! Although, Noxa really SHOULD kick herself a bit — getting worried over something STUPID like a meeting… Was she slipping or something? The thought came and went; Noxa dismissed it almost instantly.
‘No.’ She rationalized, ‘That was super duper important. It’s perfectly normal to be worked up on something — after all, why would I be imprinted with a biological reaction that WASN’T beneficiary?!’
“Oh, that was rough!” Noxa exclaimed, her carapace-clad hands resting at her hips. Noxa arched her torso forward, stretching a bit. A pose of victory.
Breech’s entrance was short, sweet, and his exit was just as crisp — and not a moment too soon! That guy’s ‘aura’ was really something! The right word would’ve been ‘intimidating’. However, there was a detail that Noxa did notice. She couldn’t exactly describe it; she couldn’t pinpoint it. Later, however, she’d come to understand what it was: Dr. Breech was polite. The woman didn’t know what his compass was, but she knew that his social ‘gear-work’ was well-oiled and perfectly functioning. He was the kind of guy she’d definitely benefit from observing.
“I’ve seen people bow before, but you two did it so casually.” The redhead's face peeked over her own shoulder, glancing over at Katsu. “Is that something I should do all the time? Just bow to people?” There was a pause . Katsu’s face looked weird. “What’s wrong with you?” She asked, “Your face is all contorted and frown-y.”
Noxa’s pose was broken up as she turned around to fully face Katsu, regarding him as one should while they spoke. Her hands came up. Noxa’s fingers locked behind her head. Busy? Noxa supposed it made sense — he was, after all, both a scientist AND the head of some shadowy cabal. Running SCAR was probably a handful in its own! Never Mind doing research and development on the side! While Katsu continued to elaborate his speech he left Noxa a little tied-up thanks to his vocabulary.
Noxa’s left eye squinted, displaying a hint of confusion. She had no problems voicing her concerns. “His… ‘De-co-rum?” Noxa spoke, dissecting the word; each syllable came as a staccato, destroying the question’s flow. She was clearly doing her best to pronounce it as it should be.
“I can’t say I’ve heard that one before. What does it mean?” Her fingers’ lacing came undone. Her hands, instead, moving down to cup her breasts. She looked down the fleshy-mounds barely countered with her steel-like carapace.
“Tech sticking out? Well… I could try…”
Noxa reached behind her head with her left hand, fetching the little radar that Katsu earlier entrusted to her. The piece of technology was lodged just below her collarbone. Her flesh would part, gripping at the edges of the device as it was embedded into her body like an LCD display on a phone.
“How’s that?” Noxa asked, brandishing the ‘exotic tech’ he had mentioned. “I’ll be honest — I don’t think I like this look…”
By then, of course Katsu had already begun to walk out of the room. His chance to see Noxa’s ‘ingenious’ idea would come when the woman sat herself down on a couch opposing Katsu himself. She plopped down, legs stretching out to rest on a coffee table — should there be one. Her arms extended outward on the sofa’s backrest. She relaxed herself, her gaze still on the device she’d implanted on herself. It would soon ‘pop’ out. She really didn’t like it. A strand of hair zoomed around the woman, snatching it from the air and bringing it back to the cozy little place underneath her hair where she kept the little things — like car keys.
Katsu’s words weren’t done, however. With his next question being posed Noxa’s gaze rose. The Bio Woman’s facial features bland and completely meaningless.
“Sense ki?” The idea, itself, was absolutely ludicrous, but Noxa indulged the man. He, after all, deserved that much credit at least. “What do you mean ‘sense’? Like some kind of scouter? I’m not a robot; I can’t do that kind of stuff, Katsu.”
The woman’s head shook, dismissing the idea almost in its entirety. As much as the ability of gaining a sort of sixth sense appealed to Noxa… Well, she figured it was completely impossible. She did, however, have plenty of other questions. The scantily-clad predator shifted from one side, then another, making herself comfortable on the couch.
“There is one thing on my mind though — you know, aside from the ‘ki’ thing.” Her nose scrunched up and and wriggled, before the question was posed: “What did the old guy mean by ‘testing my combat capabilities’? Is there some kind of weird standardized testing course I have to run or something?”
The idea of jumping through hoops didn’t exactly entice Noxa, but the idea of being a part of something greater — of a group of people that worked towards a common goal. The at least outcome seemed to be worth the hassle… Well, maybe. There was, of course, a degree to which Noxa wouldn’t stoop to. The idea of months on end of testing and ‘trials’ absolutely repulsed her. Noxa wouldn’t submit to some sort of ‘schooling’ program.

“Bowing is a mark of respect and courtesy. I bow to Dr Breech because I respect him as a scientist and a generally competent person. Take it as a good sign that Dr Breech gave a bow to you, Noxa. Also decorum is when someone acts in a manner that is considered fitting for the social norm. Dr Breech left in a polite manner, yet one that might still be considered a bit jarring due to how short an audience he gave us, thus I used decorum.” Katsu leaned back on the couch a bit further, closing his eyes for a long moment, thinking to himself. It wasn't until Noxa had denied being able to learn that Katsu's eyes snapped open in an instant, looking at Noxa very very levelly. He leaned forward on the couch, his fingers pressed together with palms separated, looking much more malevolent and very un-scientist-like. Kubrick stare ahoyd. He seemed more like a combatant, a warrior, in that one moment than at any point up to that one. Katsu was angry, although he did his utmost to prevent it from showing on the outside. Noxa would be able to see it in his eyes however, a dark smoldering effect, his sense of humanity fading from him. When he spoke it was with a quiet and controlled tone, “Noxa. There are a few things you need to know about me being your partner and what that means. It means that I will treat you preferentially above all others. I will help you to gain strength, skill, prestige...whatever it is that you decide to make your goal. I will protect you, trust you, and help you become more than you are at the cost of others. I will expect you to do the same in regards to me. What I will NOT do is lie to you except at great need. What I will not do is tease you with something that is apparently impossible or get your hopes up when there is no chance of achieving it.” Dropping those words, which carried such heavy meaning, Katsu took a few moments to let them sink into Noxa's brain, to help her realize what she might have actually gotten herself into by agreeing to become Katsu's partner. Considering what Katsu had just said was more akin to a relationship between two devoted lovers than merely “partners”. Was Katsu touched in the head or what? Either way, after giving Noxa some time to think on that he would speak once more, “When I offer to teach you something; it is because I know you can learn it. You can learn to sense Ki, and in fact I believe you must learn to sense Ki if you plan to be of use to SCAR and to better your survival chances in many situations...” Katsu finally quieted down, leaning back in his seat, placing one arm over the back of the couch, looking much more relaxed, the anger gone from his eyes. He looked like a casual scientist once more. “Your combat tests will be more of the same as what we performed earlier; performing missions like fighting a number of golems. Evaluating your battle skills in real missions is the easiest way to learn of your combat potential and competency; thus evaluating your use to SCAR. In short, hunting.
“For now. Wander off, experience some things of Earth's culture on your own, meet others and the like. When you're ready to learn about Ki usage and to begin another mission, use the GPS to come to my home. Until then I'll be dealing with the knowledge in this archive.” Katsu tapped the side of the crown on his head with a single finger before closing his eyes. Apparently he was done speaking to Noxa now. Perhaps she should leave, or maybe try and cheer him up; he did seem in a bad mood now...

Noxa’s taken her seat and gotten relaxed.
The redheaded woman paid mind to what Katsu said. The way he explained social norms and the idea of ‘bowing’ was really something! To show ‘respect’, huh? It made sense; it was something the clicked with all other situations she’d seen the gestured being used in. Although the idea of Dr. Breech ending the meeting short wasn’t something Noxa began to fret over. If he was such an important scientists with a busy schedule of running parts of an organization…
Well — Noxa was sure syndicate building took a lot out of someone’s schedule.
The Bio had already relaxed. She watched Katsu opposing her, he too seemed to lull into a bit of a cozy state. Until, of course, he suddenly wasn’t. Then, of course, he did the thing. A weird, bizarre, unnatural, psychotic look that really creeped the bejeezus out of Noxa. She felt the fine little hair on her napes begin to stand on-end. Her hair’s activity churning slowly, though the volume of her red-mass seemed to grow much like that of a threatened feline.
The sense of menace, anger, and perhaps a hint of hostility were in the air. She could taste it. Her heart began to hammer away at her chest, making sure her body would be ready to counter whatever sudden moves could suddenly be made at the woman. Oddly enough, she couldn’t pick up any of those offensive tendencies from his tone of speaking.
The meaning-dense words came and settled on Noxa’s mind. They took a while to be absorbed, mostly due to the weight they carried. Noxa didn’t pick up on some of the contextual clues. Not all of them were, of course, completely missed. The depth of just how much this ‘partnership’ meant to him was not something Noxa was able to grasp. Still, the idea that Katsu wasn’t going to be fucking with her came loud and clear.
“Oh…”
Doctor Katsu began to lean back — he once again relaxed. Noxa, however, still felt her hammering heart. Her body hadn’t calmed — just in case.
A long stretch of wordlessness took place at some point after Katsu explained to her what the evaluation would likely consist of. She was glad, of course, to learn the worst case scenario was definitely not in the rotation. A few odd little missions or tests would be all that she’d need to worry about — not a whole mess of schooling. Good.
Still, there was a bit of unease with what followed. His dismissive nature had, in fact, caused Noxa to feel a little bit of dismay. They’d seem to have been on such good terms up until now. It didn’t register JUST how much of an impact what she said had, but the Bio Woman definitely noticed that his silence was a product of his earlier outburst.
Noxa hesitated to break tension.
“Well,” She spoke again, voice croaking as she broke the silence that had been allowed to grow unchecked between her last little note of acknowledgement. “Alright then… If that’s the case I’d love to learn to sense ki.”
The idea of ‘cheering’ someone up was too advanced to Noxa. Still, she realized something negative had taken place and she needed to repair it somehow. So, of course, she used the highest-level social technique she knew. Something she’d realized not long before she’d taken her departure into the desert.
Noxa shifted in her seat, lips parting before the gambit was employed:
“I’m hereby apologizing, just in case if something went wrong recently to make you upset.”
There was no link of herself to the supposed ‘event’. It was, in all likelihood, a very real possibility Noxa didn’t realize it was directly a fault of her disbelief in Katsu’s words that his mood had soured.
It wasn’t the case. She knew there was SOME fault to be fallen on her. Still, she didn’t admit it in her sentence — not directly. The reason why was ultimately left for Katsu to judge and dissect.
The woman stood; shoulders straight; chest out; arms by her sides. Perfect posture. She stood like that for a moment before her body began contorting in a way Katsu had never seen — well, not on her. Her upper body bent forward, turning the 180 degree posture into something more akin to a 135 degree angle. Her head followed suit, lowering itself just enough for him to see some of her features disappear behind a curtain of red bangs.
Noxa had taken a bow. It was awkward and rusty, but a bow none the less.
She returned to her normal, careless way of standing. Her head cocked a little to the side. No alarms of ‘maybe it's time to leave’ had gone off. No — the redhead looked to the exit before Doctor Katsu had dismissed her; he had ordered her out.
A step came as the woman made her way around the couch and began to make her way out of the home.
She sincerely hoped whatever damage had been caused was not irreparable. The idea of Noxa having just tossed out a valuable ally for the sake of something dumb — of not having realized JUST WHAT she was saying… If anything it served to paint a larger picture: Noxa’s social training was even more necessary than she previously imagined. She, as of right now, was a catastrophe when it came to socializing.
Before she was out of the room she’d opened her mouth, saying something about wishing him a safe trip back home — something about hoping fortune favored him. That’s what Noxa felt she said, anyway. The exact phrasing of her words, however, were far less graceful and maybe too concise.
“Take care.”
With that she made her way out of the room. If uninterrupted and unimpeded Noxa traveled to and through the front door. Once it was closed she took a few steps out before she once more resumed her travel through the wasteland. This time, however, she didn’t wander for purpose. She knew what she had to do. As Doctor Katsu had put it: ‘experience some things of Earth’s culture’.
She knew just where to go for that. If still left unchecked Noxa’s aura would flare once she was a few hundred meters from the home, once again launching into the cloudless daytime sky and all its splendor.

Sighing inwardly Katsu forced his mind to go through the possible viable mutations of the Human Chromosome #6 and their benefits and drawbacks upon on the whole creation. It was all to calm his mind; he had actually gotten angry at someone for once. It was strange. Katsu hadn't felt real anger at a person for a long while; ever since he had decided that Knowledge was Sacred, and that as long as knowledge wasn't destroyed there was no harm, Katsu had no reason to become angry at someone. Yet Noxa's ignorant comment about her own potential had made Katsu want to slap her upside the head with enough force to send her through his living room wall. How uncharacteristic of him.
It left a bad taste in his mouth. Frowning in distaste at his own actions Katsu kept his eyes closed, using his other senses to perceive Noxa actually take the opportunity to offer...an apology. That genuinely surprised Katsu, and it broke his bad mood in an instant. Noxa had obviously picked up a bit more of Terran culture than she had let on at first if she knew how to apologize; had the frame of mind to set aside her pride to perform it as well. It was very positively received by Katsu, and he found himself giving a small smile, his eyes still closed.
“Do not worry Noxa. No harm done. I simply want you to think hard on what I've said about our partnership. If possible I want you to think about any pair of creatures you've encountered; especially those of predatory animals or sentients. Think of their behavior towards one another, I know you must have stalked some of them out of curiosity, I'm sure you can dredge up a memory or three. Just think on how they acted, on how they worked together to accomplish whatever objective they had together. Pretend that you and I are them, but add on this: I at least, will not betray you. This might come hard to you, but you can trust me Noxa...”
With that Katsu would give Noxa a wave as she exited the room and the building, getting ready to go on her own adventure. As for Katsu; he had a mystery to solve with this little crown around his head...
