Well, it was an income, wasn’t it?[/div] There were a number of gigs in and around the city Maximillion did, to try and make an honest wage for himself. Simply going out and hunting, then coming back into the city in time to make it to one appointment or another, just did not mesh well with the time he was trying to put into whittling the block of wood he’d obstained – crafted from an alien brand of ‘wood’ that could withstand even the most savage battering from superpowered individuals, but still (ironically) delivered the shock of the blows to it’s wielder – into a decent Staff. So, he became a waiter. Specifically, in the context of this story, the waiter who came to wait on the mysterious duo who happened upon the restaurant he was the on-shift waiter for. “Welcome to Waf-“ his words cut off as he beheld the individuals seated there. He had only just clocked in, so they may have already been helped, but – as was apparently expected in this type of work – nobody had told him, so he had to go out to them to greet and welcome them, and take their orders.
From the looks of it, though, someone had already served them. Why was I even sent here?! What the hell kind of management allows this kind of lack of coordination?! He thought, now suppressing a scowl. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, causing him to absently scratch the back of his neck with his left hand, while awkwardly holding the pen and pad of paper in his right. He gawked, a bit awkwardly, and it took him a moment to remember his courtesies, then to speak again. He had that strange, 'my skin is crawling' sensation when he was around people who usually turned out to have some kind of supernatural inclination, or possessed extraordinary, superhuman abilities. I haven’t seen many non-humans during my stay in this world, Maximillion thought, suppressing a smile. I was about to conclude that Arias, Presto and myself were it’s only visitors!
(pic of Max smiling, although his hair is shorter now:)
“I’m not sure if you have been helped yet, but my name is Max, and I will be your waiter for the duration of your stay. Can I interest you in our Ultra Breakfast Special, that comes with scrambled eggs, two waffles with pecans and butterscotch syrup, and a specialty coffee?” [/div]

The Bio-Android had been having a good amount of fun so far. Though as the moments passed she began to feel a tad bit of a pressing mannerism about him. The handsome young man seemed to grow increasingly frustrated at Noxa — if not frustration some other word within its family sure would've applied. She turned, with an innocent little faint smile and said.
"Because only a true hero would be willing to pick up the whole bill!" She said, raising a finger into the air as she spoke, wagging it just a tad to add a bit of pizzazz to her speech. It was though enough; by Noxa's outfit one could safely assume she carried no zeni — she didn't have much in the way of pockets.
She came to not at the mention of water; she was starting to grow a little parched, and other juices simply didn't quench her thirst like water. It was an obvious enough statement, but still. Noxa watched as Kale's massive plate came, being placed down in front of him.
"Y-you're going to eat all that?" Noxa wondered in disbelief. Sure, she'd had bigger meals — entire people — but she didn't have to play by gastrointestinal rules! The mere though of all that dough passing his throat made her a little pale; horrifying! She has been called a 'monster' before, sure; but right now she was starting to wonder who the monster here really was.
"Heeey, 'Max'!" Spoke the Bio-Android, almost cheering his arrival. "Looking dashing today! Yes, I will have your tallest glass of ice-cold water. And..." She leaned in to Mu, "What was that thing again?" she double checked, "Them 'waffles', eh?" She remembered the name, of course; she was just trying to 'smooth' things along; be sociable and amicable.

Mu-Kal looked at the waiter, gave him a slight shake of the head "I've been served, already got two of those coming but thanks." Mu-Kal chuckled, as he did it almost summoned Jacey, she walked over with two gigantic plates of food. "Good to see you again Mu-Kal." She gave a slight wink, "Can't disregard our best customer." She chuckled as she gracefully slid the plates across the table to an awaiting Mu-Kal, who licked his lips hungrily. Before picking up his cutlery.
He attacked the plate of food like he was a man who hadn't seen such splendid food in years. The knife and fork moving almost too fast to see. Small pieces of food started flying around in the general area. He took a small break to say "Thumks Jacey!" his mouth still clearly filled with food. He then resumed his onslaught of the food.
Jacey looked at him with a mixture of disgust and amazement and then returned to the kitchen.
Mu-Kal returned to his food entranced. [Exiting Thread, PL please]

Much like Mu-Kal, Kale began a hungry attack on his own food. While the quality wasn't as incredible as his father's cooking, the diner's own style of cooking was on par. It still tasted absolutely delicious, and it was certainly filling! Sure enough, it was enough to satiate the Saiyan's appetite. He made sure to pause for a moment once the server named Max arrived, gulping hard to bring what food was in his mouth down his gullet. "Oh, no thank you. I was already taken care of. But may I please get some water?" The Saiyan didn't want to talk with a full mouth, after all.
After eating more than half of his meal, Kale sighed with content. "Are you kidding?" he asked with a smile while addressing Noxa. "Of course I'm going to eat all of this!" He chuckled softly, before continuing to assail his breakfast. Despite the amount of food that was piled up on his plates, the Saiyan still managed to chow it all down within seconds!
Nothing but scraps were left on the plates in front of Kale. He was happy to have a full stomach again. "Woo boy. That was delicious!" Kale patted his tummy now. "So, Noxa, what brings you to the city, anyway?"

These strangers intrigued Maximillion, so much so that he forgot that he was supposed to be on-duty (and he had forgotten his little apron-of-sorts in the back), and Maximillion eyed them, each and every one of them in turn.
"So, how are you folks liking it on Earth?" Maximillion asked. He held up a finger as if to say hold onto that thought for just one moment and then turned towards the back of main counter where some of the customers were being served by the staff up front. At first, it just seemed like nothing was happening, but then, suddenly, there was a tall pitcher of water, full of water and ice, and it levitated over the counter, and into Maximillion's awaiting hands, along with a couple of glasses, which Maximillion took with his other hand.
"Ahhh, there we go!" He said excitedly, setting both glasses down on the table, filling them with ice water, then sitting the pitcher down at the center of the table for the customers to use.
"I am not even from this Plane myself, but I recently came back from Vegeta-sei. Would any of you happen to be Saiyans or Androids??"
The words erupted from him, almost as if he simply could not hold them in...and maybe he couldn't, judging by the overly-enthused look on his face, and the wide, earnest expression in his eyes.
He also seemed unaware of the annoyed stares of the middle-aged man (the manager?) behind the counter, and the spooked stares the other patrons were giving his little telekinetic display.

The Bio-Android found a hard time pulling her mind away from the obscene amounts of food being consumed by the two 'heroes'. She managed to choke out a little repose though. "Food." She paused, quickly remembering she needed to be more convincing than that, "And uhh..." What was that blasted word they used against her? "Cosplaying. Yeah — I'm a cosplay model person. I also needed a place to move to; my last town became very hostile very quickly."
The glowing yellow and black eyes finally managed to glance at Kale for a moment, "What about you, hero?" Her voice held a strange flavor to the last few syllables, but the reason could simply have been explained by the shock in her features: her eyes glanced between Mu and Kale. Oh, no... She hoped this didn't turn into some sort of consumption competition.
The splendor of Noxa's pearly-white toothy grin formed once again;her eyes visibly widened once the floating jugs of water came into view! This city was full of surprises, wasn't it? Telepathy — telekinesis. Just wonderful. A skill she'd heard of but never saw concrete evidence it existed. Well, util now. It was just what she needed to pull her sights away from the monster eating next to her — Mu seemed to have gone into a trance thanks to his meal. She didn't know how that would work out when it came to paying the bill, but she knew she wouldn't stick around long enough to find out!
Regardless, she'd attend to the more pressing matter:
"No androids here," She assured him, "But that doesn't matter — what are you supposed to be?" Whatever he was Noxa had an idea of what she wanted to eat next — and she had sincere doubt that it was on the menu.
She made a slow grip of her iced water. She'd down it quickly, having grown rather parched from the sunny day outside. Disgustingly sunny. Noxa licked her lips at the deliciousness of one of the most basic building blocks of matter. "Is there anything better than water?" she wondered, muttering through a heavy sigh. A simple rhetorical question as she awaited.

Kale's eyebrows raised in surprise while he watched Max's little telekinesis trick. He had never seen that sort of ability first-hand, and it was certainly interesting. The Saiyan didn't think it was possible to move objects with one's thoughts. Besides Max, Mu-Kal, and Noxa, Kale found himself to be in interesting company.
It was when Maximillion had asked the trio about their origins that Kale felt a slight pang of nervousness. Was it that obvious that he was of Saiyan heritage? Before he would answer, the waiter mentioned planet Vegeta. But now the question was, whether or not this man was a Saiyan Solar Empire sympathiser. He turned a gaze to Mu-Kal, hoping he would answer first. But Noxa beat them to it, seeing how the other Saiyan was too indulged with his food.
Kale drew in a quiet breath."Yeah." he responded."I'm a Saiyan. And I've been enjoying Earth for a year, now." For the time being, he wouldn't go too deep into his past out of fear that the SSE might track him down for desertion during the invasion of Earth. He looked to Noxa to answer her question, now."As for why I'm here, I guess the same reason as you. The food is great, and I've never been in Satan City before. So I wanted to see the sights."
