Satan City Civilities 「 1 」
It had not been long since Noxa had arrived in the city — this 'Satan' city. She wasn't sure what, exactly, it was with the city's name, but she loved it. Maybe it was the alliteration of 'Satan City', or maybe it was the hidden meaning behind the name. Noxa understood the meaning well; her genetic memory was fairly extensive, augmented with plenty of useful knowledge of literature and lore. She appreciated the extra 'touch' given to her creation; it almost made her feel something that vaguely resembled regret for killing Dr. Morai. Almost.
The Bio-Android closed her eyes as she walked down the street. She was glad word of her hadn't traveled this far. This was she was able to walk freely in her true form. A deep breath was yielded, felling the Bio's lungs as the appreciated the soft caress of her breeze against her exposed inner thighs and middle-length of her body. Her trip here had been without much of a ruckus — even fun, if she dared use that word. She was absolutely positive one of the women recognized her. Maybe from word of mouth, maybe from some sort of news report. It could've been the black sclera and yellow irises of Noxa's eyes; it could've been the crimson, elegantly shaped many that danced around her; it could've been her scantly-clad bio armor. Either way, when her eyes locked with the woman in the bus Noxa instantly recognized the tell-tale features of fear: shrinking pupils, trembling, tightened facial muscles, vicious grip on child. Noxa happened to smile, but take her assigned seat, which thankfully for the woman was far off. Other than that nothing happened; Noxa wanted no trouble with the commoners, especially considering her expulsion from the previous city was due to a music-related massacre.
For now, however, Noxa only walked through the city, observing people as much as the occasional civilian stared at her. Often it was the men. Today Noxa hoped she'd try and learn something new, after all life wasn't just a big trip of consumerism — despite what those in power would like you to believe.

Mu-Kal was on one of his regular patrol trips around Satan City, he had grown to love this town, from it's unique scented alleys, which he called his bedroom all the way to it's tallest building. He loved climbing to the top and leaping off, deploying his red glider. Typically scaring a few tourists but a large portion had begun to recognise the mysterious shape in the sky after recent incidents.
Mu-Kal noticed a strange figure however walking down the street, wearing a very small amount of clothing. Maybe it's into costumes, Mu-Kal never particularly followed public television, so didn't necessarily recognise it from anywhere, but he thought he'd find out. Although a few denizens of the city seemed to be giving her strange glances. Pervs probably.
He then re-directed himself into a slow descent, before reaching a reasonable height, his hair and clothes rustled in the wind as he fell. A small thud could be heard upon landing, a small crack in the pavement as he approached the stranger on the street. "Hey, would you mind covering up a bit, i believe you are violating some form of nudity code." He chuckled trying to maintain eye contact "But are you into costumes or something, is that where that's from?" he indicated to her clothing.

Noxa's ears twitched as she heard the landing a ways off. She naturally turned to investigate. Her half-closed eyelids narrowed further as she examined the man. He certainly had an unique aura about him, though she could not sense much of it — she was ki-deaf, after all. One thing, however, gripped Noxa in a vice of intrigue; his eyes' brilliant cyan-blue. How charming, his chuckle was!
A smile parted the bio-android's lips; she extended the amicable gesture to him as he did to her. "Sorry — I just came from a gathering," She fabricated, "Do you like it?" she extended her hands, clasping her fingers behind her head as she gave a little twirl, striking a pose. "A little 'costume' I made." She locked eyes with the boy from over her shoulder, "It seems to be getting a good deal of attention."
Noxa turned to face the man that'd come to her. "I'm sorry if I have broken any rules — I have just arrived here for the little convention I attended; I'm not familiar with the law of the land." She paused, holding her breath for a moment. Suddenly her hand stuck out in an impressive speed, her clawed gauntlet-like armor extended to the man. "My mannerisms..." she shook her head in heavy disapproval, "Please — call me Noxa."

Mu-Kal noticed her eyes, they were strange, not displeasing perhaps a tad unsettling. A smile crept across her lips. Mu-Kal gulped unsure of what would happen next. Then a she started speaking with a slight stutter, "Yes it looks quite interesting." He stated looking her up and down "I can't imagine why..." He once again coughed, and locked in his eye contact. "Ummm... i'm sure it's nothing too serious, it's quite alright most people are unaware of such laws." He chuckled once again. Before her hand sprung up.
He was startled slightly, but met her hand with his own. Feeling the cold metal press against his uncovered hand. "The uhh name's Mu-Kal by the way. Noxa, interesting." He'd have to investigate this person, she seemed naturally untrustworthy. Mu-Kal retrieved has hand back, his one grey eye and one blue eye once again looking her up and down. "So what brings you to town, food, home?" Mu-Kal asked quizzically.

Noxa's smile widened into a toothy grin at the mention of food.
"Tough grip!" She praised him, weather or not his grip actually WAS any good.
Her hand was retrieved; her arms crossed beneath her chest. Maybe she was cold? Wouldn't be a surprise in that outfit. Strangely enough she certainly didn't LOOK cold. "I'm definitely here to experiment a little with the food." She noted, giving a good amount of emphasis to 'experiment' "But, honestly, I just needed a change of scenery. Who knows? If I like it here I might make a home!" She looked about, "This place certainly seems lovely..." She caught herself, her mind returning to an earlier point in the conversation.
"Say..." Her eyes clocked in on him again, "You wouldn't happen to be a law enforce here, would you?"

"Thanks!" He said brushing the back of his hair, with the same hand that had previously gripped hers.
"If you're looking to experiment, i know this great waffle place." Mu-Kal gave her an excited smile, and he almost began salivating. "Well it's certainly a great place to call home." He continued his smile but he began to survey the local buildings. "A law enforcer? No, i break too many to be considered one of those." He chuckled "I prefer to think of my self as a protector of the people." Mu-Kal placed his hands on his hips and looked stoically towards the other side of the street.
"What do you do for a living though? Do you dress up professionally or something?" Mu-Kal turned his head back to her, and relaxed his stance

Noxa took in what he said; she didn't simply dismiss his occupation of protecting people, but she considered the possibility and how it'd benefit HIM. The bio-android glanced over yonder where he looked; Noxa saw just potential meals bounding about... Meals who, when gathered together, were a huge pain in the ass. Twice now the number of animosity generated from her constant predatory behavior had forced her out of the placed she'd nested in.
Noxa, at first, was an insatiable whirlwind of consumption, but she had so far learned to tame herself. Even more recently she had begun considering the possibility of NOT simply eating just anyone; of not making enemies for no reason — something that had put everything she stood for in danger. In other words, it was hard to survive with a bounty on your head.
"Help people? Don't take this the wrong way, dear, but why?" Her tone wasn't one of snark — the undertone of curiosity, however, were very prominent. Before the man could respond, however, she spoke up, "I never had a waffle, though I've heard much about it. Mind showing me?" She asked.

Mu-Kal noticed her eyes trailing off to look at the pedestrians, he pondered what might be running through her mind. Probably just checking out someone's outfit, or maybe there was something more malicious was running through her mind. Then the question was asked 'why?' he'd asked himself the same question but he always responded the same way "Because, i've seen what happens when the strong are left to their own whims, they abuse the weak. But i think it's not the place for the strong to abuse but to protect them." Mu-Kal said with a slight glare at Noxa, his face becoming stern and serious.
"Uhhh yeah." Mu-Kal became distracted by her second question "Just this way." He thought to himself that atleast he'd be able to keep an eye on her if he stayed with her. He started taking the usual route to Jacey's waffle house.

Inside Jacey's Waffle House, Kale was currently sitting at one of the booths. But there weren't only waffles on the menu, oh no. There was a wonderful assortment of breakfast and lunch-based food. However, the eatery was famous for it's waffles and it's pancakes. But this particular Saiyan didn't enjoy just any old regular pancakes. He absolutely adored chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate batter!
Kale waited patiently in his dark red leather-seated booth for the food that he ordered not too long ago. He was beginning to grow impatient. And it was only fair, since he ordered his meal thirty minutes ago! However, in candor, the restaurant was a tad busy. And why wouldn't it be? The food here was amazing!
The eager Saiyan's tail twitched anxiously by his leg, hidden from the rest of the world by the booth's table. Only a person who was incredibly nosy would have noticed it. It wasn't very polite for someone to gaze underneath a table in the first place. With a sigh, Kale rested his chin atop his knuckles while his elbows laid atop the wooden table. "It will be coming soon, I just know it!" he mused to himself. Imagining his order didn't help the situation at all.

Noxa wasn't sure how much she agreed with the ideology of the heterochromic( he actually has heterochromia, right?) man. She, of course, didn't show that. She just gave a pretty smile and gave a warm little nod~! Noxa, however, absolutely did NOT let his words go into one ear and our the other; the bio-android kept a tab on what he said. Later she would come back and reexamine his words. Maybe he was wise beyond his ears; maybe there was merit to what he said.
Anticipation soon began permeating every fiber of Noxa's being. She hadn't sat down and eaten 'common' nutrition food in a normal everyday restaurant, well, not since her cop friend. While she walked her mind wandered a bit, she wondered how the chubby cop had been doing. He was an absolute delight 9/10 would only eat if she had to.
Her eyes then turned to the man, scrutinizing him. Her was well-built. He certainly had a heroic feeling to him. Noxa wasn't too familiar with the kind — though she'd plenty familiar with paramilitaries and mercs. Maybe she could learn something from him today BESIDES the location of battered goods.
"This place is absolutely crowded." Noxa noted once she entered the waffle place, unable to keep the disdain from coloring her tone. She was quick to correct that. A hand reached, fingers moving behind her head to weave through her hair, "O-oh my, where should we sit?"

Mu-Kal had come to Jacey's alot in his last few years, it's bright neon blue sign in the window was always an enticing view, the faint smell of waffles wafted through the air, further drawing him into the familiar establishment. He also felt very at home because he'd become well acquainted with the owner, Jacey. She was a lovely woman and had basically become a third mother to him. She was a short (5'3), thin woman. That gave the best hugs and advice that seemed to come from a Sage.
He opened the door, and as per usual it was bustling, a large variety of people all with different styles and backgrounds. But they all had one thing in common, they love Jacey and her food. That always warmed his heart that no matter people's opinion, food brought people together.
He then did notice there were no seats, co-workers and families took up most of the booths. "Hmph, one minute." He walked to the bar and rung the small bell. "JACEHHH!" He shouted towards the back. He then noticed a lone man sat at a table waiting for his food presumably, "Jacey! 2 of my regulars to table 4! THANK YOU!" Mu-Kal assumed he'd been heard, Jacey did have a strange level of hearing almost supernatural.
He walked back over to Noxa "We're sitting over there" He said pointing to Kale's half empty booth. He then sauntered over with a smile. "I hope you don't mind us joining you, my names Mu-Kal and that is Noxa." He indicated to her.

Kale was ripped away from his food-related trance once the two individuals approavhed. He observed them, noting the unique features of the man and the woman. Kale instantly recognized the man as a Saiyan due to the brown tail that he adorned. But the woman looked like a regular human. Well, mostly. She was certainly dressed in an abnormal fashion, but Kale was not one to judge people on appearance alone.
The Saiyan offered a friendly smile to the two once they approached the booth he was sitting in. He nodded in greeting as the other Saiyan made introductions. "Go right ahead! I don't mind having some company." he gestured for the two to sit. "My name's Kale, by the way. What brings you two by?"

Noxa would seat herself first, sliding in closer to the wall to give room to the sayian. This one looked good too! What's with the men here?
"Company." Noxa answered for herself, "And promise of..." Her soft smile widened, "Experimentation — waffles. Ever heard of one?" She leaned in, "Between you and me," She said to Kale, pulling herself in closer to the table, "Everything in here looks good enough to eat~!" She gave him a friendly wink, shutting her eyes as she gave short-lived laugh, rewarding herself for what she thought was comedy gold. Then again, it was mostly an inside joke to herself.
Her black sclera and bright yellow irises looked about, "I hope they serve water."
Noxa fixed her seating arrangement. Her legs crossed, as did her arms. She leaned heavily against the bench and the wall, "Do, Kale," She began, "Are you also 'protector of the people'?" She asked, quoting Mu exactly.
She gave Mu a side ways glance, "If you are also a hero then I'll have found myself TOO in a day! So much for holding out 'til the morning light."

Mu-Kal decided to sit next to the other saiyan, feeling a little more comfortable by it's presence in comparison to the scantily clad lady. "We're just here for some food." Mu-Kal warily looked at Noxa as she started talking strangely... maybe she was just from a very far away town that didn't have much water... he hoped. She seemed strangely fixated on experimentation. Asking people whether they were a hero, also quite strange. not too much but still bizarre.
"I'm sure you could get some water Noxa." Mu-Kal said giving her a slight glare "Why are you so interested in finding out if he's a hero?" He thought if he had back-up he might as well use it to try and grill her, get some questions answered and what not. She seemed just a bit too out of place even for this city.

A broad smile spread across Kale's face when the subject of food was brought up by Noxa. "Oh, I love waffles. But I love chocolate chip pancakes even more!" he said with a soft chuckle. "And you're right. The whole menu is full of delicious foods. I hope to try them all at some point!"
When the subject of heroism was brought up by Noxa and her companion, Kale's smile faded away for a moment. This was a serious subject after all. "Why, yes. I am a protector." he replied, not seeing any harm in indulging Noxa's question. He turned his head to look at Mu-Kal, offering a faint smile as he did. "It's quite alright, Mu-Kal." reassured the Saiyan. "It's a perfectly harmless subject."
Just as Kale was about to continue speaking to the two, two waitresses struggled with two enormous plates of food. And this was all Kale's order. Stacks of pancakes drizzled in syrup, and a large plate of corned beef hash with hash browns and five pieces of toast. Once the poor girls planted the plates onto the table, Kale thanked them for their services. His eyes lit up with glee now that he was staring at his food. "Boy, oh boy! Time to dig in!"
