The blast made quick work of the wolf, but it also caused the girl to wince from the rocking explosion that ensued. Tanis didn't respond to him. She remained there, shivering.
Some time would pass — less than an hour, but far more than a few mere minutes. Her eyes opened half way. She groaned out something but cleared her incredibly dry throat. She attempted to bring her knees up and hug them to keep herself warmer, but in the process red would begin to flood and stain the rags that Retsu had made. She opened up several dangerous wounds in her belly as well as one on the shoulder she currently laid on.
He'd get up after killing the wolf and brought it over to the fire. From there he'd take one of Tanis' swords and skin what he could of it. He'd then began to prepare the wolf for food, Then went and skewered said chunks on her sword, before lifting it into the fire with a hand to cook the meat. When he heard her groan he came to her side, letting his tail keep the meat cooking while he dealt with her.
"Hey don't move." He muttered before rolling her onto her back. He'd Put pressure on the wounds he could deal with before sighing. "You are a pain...." He muttered. "If I were like others of my race no doubt I would have killed you and ended this all... But no. I have to have a heart to some extent..." He frowned, mostly to himself ." Curse my compassion..."
"C-cold." The girl chocked out as he put pressure on her wounds.
Depending how much he remembered from this medical training he'd recognize the stuporous state of awareness she was in; people with an even lower level of consciousness, stupor, only respond by grimacing or drawing away from painful stimuli. He wouldn't get a conversation out of her until morning, depending on how much she recovered.
She would also not stop moving, least he'd attend to the cold she seemed to struggle to groan out.
"Stop complaining." He said. " This isn't cold. This is quite warm actually." He kept pressure on her wounds for as long as he could to stop them from bleeding before bandaging her up once more. Once that was out of the way he'd take the wolf pelt and toss it into the hot springs. After that he'd sit besides her, and eat his make shift shish Kabob. The wolf didn't taste any good, but he was hungry and this was as good as he was going to get.
He'd let the pelt sit in the water for a few hours, before taking it out and setting it besides the fire. Another hour would pass and soon enough Tanis had a blanket, albeit a small one, it still would provide more heat than just the fire
That was enough. The woman either slept — or passed out for the night. It wasn't until hours before daybreak that her eyes opened. Tanis didn't even have to move to feel the pain that pulsed and permeated through her entire body.
"D-did anyone get the plate of the truck that smashed me?" She joked.
He stood slowly and sighed before turning towards her. "Well now that you are awake and still alive you will be fine without me. I'm leaving." His aura surrounded him and he turned, preparing to fly off, only to look back at her as she thanked him.
"Don't mention it." He said. "Seriously don't. I'll kill you if you do." WIth that he turned and flew off, leaving her to deal with her wounds.
Tanis wasn't sure she'd be able to move for a few hours — or days. Still, she didn't ask anything of him. She said nothing as he departed.
He was Arcosian; she was lucky that he even took the time to find her body, much less help out. Tanis relaxed back down. She was going to be here for a while. Her eyes shut as attempted to feel out the damage done to her. Mostly flesh wounds. She winced, gritting her teeth as she tried to move her abdominal muscles a little. OKAY, A LOT OF FLESH WOUNDS!
