Lord Retsu flew through the sky at high speeds, surveying the ever changing landscapes beneath him. The the day before he had killed someone and had a good fight with a four armed Saiyan. Raima was her name. He wouldn't forget her, or the fight she put up. It however made him realize that she was right. There were going to be strong people on this planet, and he'd have to train to get stronger, even more so than he had anticipated. However today he was going to relax. Killing someone always made him antsy and irritable.
Retsu would notice he was flying over a rather large city. His flight would slow to a stop and he'd just hover above it. "Strange.." He muttered. "On one hand... I could find someone here to spar with.... On the other." His stomach growled and he frowned. " I haven't eaten anything since I landed on this planet. Perhaps I should make a stop."
The Arcosian Lord would descend from his flight landing in a back-alley before he headed out on to the sidewalk. He'd note that he was getting strange looks, but ultimately that didn't matter to him. He began to explore the city as a person would, walking down the side walk, noting shops and other such things, however what really caught his attention was when he got to the more aroma filled streets lined with restaurants. He blinked and swallowed hard, never had he smelled such delicious smells before. They made his mouth water and he desired a taste of everything. However as he followed the scent of each restaurant he noted that all of them needed a currency he had none of.
He sighed standing on the sidewalk after this realization, his arms crossed and a sour expression on his face. " I could just demand the food and kill everyone here." He muttered. "...but that's hardly Lord like. People live by example, and As a lord I must be the best Example." He let out a soft sigh. "Even if it means you stay hungry for a while."

After touring the Earth multiple times in the past three years, Sorrel often found himself craving food items specific to certain regions. It wasn't rare for him to venture across the world from wherever he last set up camp just to enjoy certain foods. Today just so happened to be one of those days, though he was scoping out a barbecue spot. He eagerly began to compare the well-known barbecue locations surrounding him until his eyes befell a familiar form.
"An Arcosian?" he questioned within the confines of his mind, not wanting to bring attention to himself. His eyes trailed the stranger up and down to ascertain his disposition, but couldn't quite figure out what was on the alien's mind. He made his way over to the hungry fellow, arching a brow as he folded his arms.
"You are an Arcosian, yeah? I met Princess Shivera in battle three years ago," he paused, looking for any reaction to the name. He wasn't quite sure how royalty worked on Arcosia. If it was like Vegeta, then there were so many noble families that it was easy to not recognize a noble by name alone.
"Your strength's similar to hers." He leaned in, talking lowly to avoid attention.
"You're royalty, too. Aren'tcha?"

Flying over the city, Rafar realized how truly different this planet was from his home. On Vegeta it was all red, browns and blacks, but here it was truly beautiful. He had just finished the day's training and was hoping to meet more strong individuals, maybe a teacher to help him get stronger Stopping to land on a tall building, he surveyed the area, hoping to see something or someone interesting.Seeing w a flash of black and blue bio-armor and smiled. Someone interesting, finally.
"Hey, Lord..actually I didn't catch your name, how did your battle go." He would say after finally catching up to Retsu. "I really wanted to meet but then it began looking dangerous." He then would spot Sorrel. "Hey who are you."

Retsu looked towards Sorrel when he spoke to him. He blinked for a moment, looking him up and down before he spoke. "I am Arcosian yes." He said. Then came the mention of a Princess. He stared for a few moments before speaking up. "I'm afraid I don't know whom that is. I've never heard of them." He took in Sorrel's features as best he could before Sorrel's next statement came.
"My strength is about the same as hers?" He looked himself over. "Are you sure about that? As Arcosians go I'm hardly that powerful." He crossed his arms as Sorrel's next question came. "Royalty? Heavens no! I am but a Lord. A title I received after conquering a planet on my own." He shrugged. "Though... Considering various circumstances and the destruction of my fief... I suppose I can't retain the title of Lord for much longer."
He frowned at that prospect before shaking his head. He'd hold out his hand to Sorrel. " I am Lord Retsu. And I-" His stomach growled and he made a face. " Am apparently hungry."
He turned his head to look at the Saiyan that Landed. "Oh. Its you. The one who fled from the battle when it got too dangerous for you." He chuckled to himself. " I won. The one who attacked me was killed, and Raima was incapacitated. I was victorious." He shrugged. " But such a thing comes with transformations. You only ever transform if you are serious."

Well, Sorrel wasn't quite expecting that. All of his preconceived notions of Arcosian royal culture had been flipped. On Vegeta, you could conquer however many planets you could. But you still weren't venerated until your battle power reflected that of an Elite. His eyes narrowed for a moment as he processed the information, and then shrugged upon realizing how naive his assumptions were.
"I see," he began in the simplest tone of understanding while accepting Retsu's handshake. Although he wasn't fond of physical contact with men, he decided not to be rude. After all, he was a stranger bombarding the Arcosian with questions, yet the alien patiently replied. Not only that, but the information presented was rather useful. Arcosia was a world he held interest in since facing Princess Shivera, though he wasn't quite sure if he could do so without amassing enough strength to overcome their natural fierce strength.
"Well, she had probably gotten much stronger since then. I--," he began, ready to introduce himself. However, he found himself interrupted by the arrival of another stranger. One who apparently knew the Arcosian beforehand. Sorrel could only assume this was a fellow Saiyan based on the scent of his ki. The conversation to ensue was interesting, to say the least.
"I am Sorrel." The presence of another Saiyan almost made him add 'of the Mad Samfir house,' but he hadn't considered himself apart of his family for quite some time now. That, and if the other individual hadn't realized he was also a Saiyan, then he was fine leaving it that way. He did not want any Solar Saiyan Empire members inquiring about his "sick leave."
"I actually just decided on a restaurant, if you two are interested." An idea came to mind. If he treated the fellow to some quality Earth food, perhaps he could get on his good side and have some advocacy on Arcosia. Unfortunately, he would also have to sponsor the Saiyan if he wanted this random act of kindness to be appreciated as such.

Rafar nodded when he heard Retsu's reply, "Yeah I guess I did run away like a coward, but you were a little out of my league and seemed to be going berserk so I decided to leave." He laughed, "Wish I could transform at will, it would make things much easier. I never really liked liked that brat of a hybrid anyway. Seemed too arrogant. I would like to hear how you beat Ramia sometime, she seemed pretty strong." Watching Retsu's features carefully, Rafar hoped he hadn't offended the Arcosian.
He then turned to Sorrel half-apologetically, "Sorry about barging in like this, it's nice to meet you Sorrel my name is Rafar." Noticing Sorrel's apprehension he said, " by the way I am not SSE anymore and even if I was you could probably destroy me pretty easily." After hearing Sorrel's offer his eyes widened and he nodded several times. "Oh yes I haven't eaten anything since I arrived on this planet a couple weeks ago other than the occasional scrawny deer. But I do not wish to intrude."

Retsu would shake Sorrels hand for a few moments, before speaking up. "I have no doubts that this princess you speak of is much stronger now." He chuckled for a moment before looking to Rafar. "If you had stayed I might have killed you as well. Not that it matters." He returned his attention back to Sorrel as he spoke again. "I would accept the offer. But I have none of the currency that exists on this planet... Come to think of it I don't have any currency any more, what with my planet being destroyed and my space pod having exploded after I crashed here..."
A growl came from his stomach and he frowned. "...Though if you are offering to perhaps purchase some food for me out of your own free will... I wouldn't say no."
He sighed softly. How low he had fallen. He used to inspire fear and loyalty with his warriors around him. But now he had nothing. He hoped this wouldn't be a running theme in his life. Either way he was here now, and it wasn't good to focus on the past. "Well either way I suppose I shall accompany you. Lead the way."

Well, that was new. Sorrel finally heard a tale with an ending shittier than his. He left Vegeta of his own volition. This man was forced from his property and left with nothing. To be honest, it was somewhat amazing that the Arcosian could speak of his misfortune so casually, when Sorrel found his own painful to even think of.
"From one whose been in dire straits to another, I could spare a meal." Now Sorrel spoke as if he could afford such sponsorship, but he was almost broke himself. However, through means he was particularly not proud of, he happened to have a connection with the owner of a restaurant he had in mind. At any rate, his attention returned to his fellow Saiyan with no intention of being selective with his generosity.
"I suppose we should get going before I change my mind then, eh?"
---
Moments later, under Sorrel's direction, the group would find themselves seated at a dimly lit table and presented with many menus as a large pot of broth sat on a burner in the center of the table. If they were known to Earthling cuisine, they would either recognize it as a typical hot pot setup, or that the items in the menu were pictured in their raw, uncooked form. Sorrel grinned.
"Well, barbecue for three would've been out of the budget, but hot pot for three is not a problem! It's all you can eat for the next hour, and the only rule is we get charged extra for whatever food is left over."
Of course, Sorrel would not be charged at all for the meal. However, it wouldn't be an organic Earthling restaurant experience if he didn't apply the pressure of "all-you-can-eat happy hour" rules. Besides, he wouldn't want them checking out earlier in fear of the financial burden.
"I've done this quite a few times, so if you aren't sure about what to order, I can make some recommendations."

Rafar blinked when he heard Retsu's reply, "Well it matters to me a little bit but whatever. Sorry about what happened to you." He then turned and nodded to Sorrel's statement. "Yeah let's go."
Later, when they arrived at the restaurant he began to appreciate the humor in this situation. He and Retsu had gone from earth shattering battles to the death, to ordering food in a gourmet restaurant. "Sorrel? I've been wondering. If you don't mind, why did you leave Vegeta? I was forced off the planet, but what happened to you?" He seems very curious about his fellow Sayian's past."In the area of food, I guess I'll take your recommendation. What do you think is good here?"
He then turned to Retsu."This is quite a turnaround from our first meeting, but what are you thinking of getting here. I've heard stories that the food on Earth is extremely delicious. By the way, do you mind telling me how the battle went after I left I always enjoy a good war story." Rafar is sitting back in his chair, waiting for someone to speak

He nodded to Sorrel. "Its appreciated." He said. "Even if it doesn't look like it is." He chuckled softly then would follow Sorrel along with Rafar. --- Retsu would look over the pot with a confused expression on his face. "This is what we will be eating out of?" He asked. " Why is it here on the table?" He frowned abit confused as to why it was here, and what purpose it was going to serve. He looked to Sorrel after he spoke and frowned. " Barbecue? I have never heard of such a food before... That... is a food yes?" He looked back to the pot and frowned. This pot was mocking him. He knew it was. If he wasn't trying to make a good impression he would of blown it up by now. He shook his head then looked to Rafar as he spoke to him.
"What am I getting? I.." He picked up the menu and looked it over. " I have no idea what any of these are. I'll just let Sorrel get what he thinks would suit me best." He looked to Rafar and blinked. "I thought I already told you. I killed the one who started the fight, and incapacitated The four armed Saiyan, Raima. Not much else to say. Kind of a normal day to be honest."

"It's a long story," he replied bluntly. Although he held no interest in reopening old wounds, he found no harm in offering the gist of his situation. After all, these two strangers had opened up to him. He continued, "The charming abridged version, I suppose, is that I'm on 'sick leave.' I left Vegeta to venture across the universe in hopes of attaining the knowledge I need to treat myself."
Sorrel had attempted to tread carefully around his wording as to avoid certain questions, but was surprised to find his brief explanation rather sincere. At any rate, once the two had relinquished control of their orders to him, Sorrel beckoned the server responsible for their table. He would order six servings of fish balls, beef balls, tofu, chicken paws, sausage, mushrooms, spinach, cabbage, and twelve servings of beef strips. To Sorrel, everything else on the menu was but a side order to compliment the beef. Since he traded the opportunity of barbecue for hotpot, he would make sure he had his fill of the delicious Earthborn mammal.
"It is a little confusing at first," he began with a chuckle as he remembered his first time. Most of the things he ended up eating raw, and he burned himself quite a few times trying to figure out how to handle his food.
"It's a style of meal where you prepare it on the spot. The searing hot broth in that pot cooks whatever meat you drop in, and the next item takes the flavor of the first while adding its own. After a few items, it becomes a party of flavor where even these dainty leaves begin to taste rich with flavor." He held up a leaf of spinach with his tongs, a leafy vegetable he could only tolerate after prolonged exposure to the juices of meat.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am, but you'll have to wait — all our tables are full." Explained a soft-spoken maid. Her tone was kind, but her facial expression was that of someone who had to deal with plenty of uncooperative costumers.
"Full?" Asked a woman who towered above the maid. This woman — who strangely enough carried two blade — stood easily as a gigantic 6 feet with plenty of inches to spare. She walked a bit past the maid, looking about. It was true — not many spots open... Tanis clicked her tongue. She was hungry... Very, very hungry. Starving, even! Her belly growled audibly. A heavy hand clad in fingerless gloves pressed itself against her midsection, assuring her stomach its emptiness was not due to her throat had not been cut open.
Her eyes would meet those of the Arcosian. She wriggled her nose. She thought of asking what HIS kind was doing in her species' home world, but an itching sensation had to be addressed first.
"Don't I know you from somewhere?" Tanis inquired, her vibrant emerald-green eyes bore into those of the alien. Her beautifully delicate facial features scrunching up as she racked her mind in an effort to remember.
She had no manners, it seemed: interrupted their conversation AND ignored two of the three members as she approached.

“I was maybe hoping for a little more content than but whatever. It sounded pretty one-sided anyway.” What Retsu had considered a “normal day” was a fight way out of his league, so hopefully Retsu wasn’t getting annoyed at him. Sorrel then explained that he was on “sick leave,” and was wandering around the galaxy for some sort of cure. Rafar didn’t really understand what he meant by that, but he wasn’t going to pry into his sponsor’s past, especially when the sponsor in question was getting him actual food, not ki-fried deer. He would then nod and then turn to the meal awaiting them.
Sorrel had certainly not skimped on tonight’s meal. There were balls of meat, strips of meat and assorted kinds of plant looking things. He then explained that you dipped these into the “hot pot” at the center of the table to cook them and the flavors combined? It certainly sounded interesting. He picked up a beef ball with the tongs he was given. “So just drop this into that pot? Sounds good to me.” He carefully dropped the ball of meat into the stew and let it sit there for a little bit.
Rafar was about to take the delicious smelling ball of meat out of the stew when a very large female human walked straight up to their table and questioned Retsu about whether she had seen him before. “Friend of yours Retsu?” Rafar clearly didn't like someone barging in on his meal and interesting conversation.

"I have to prepare my own meal?" He asked, a bit of shock in his voice. "I... Usually had servants do it for me..." He frowned. Sorrel had a point. He had no servants. He had no power here. He'd have to do things on his own for now. This caused him to frown and sit back in his chair. He crossed his arms and began thinking before looking back up to Sorrel. "Can you show me how it is done so that I may learn?" He asked.
He looked to Rafar as he spoke and frowned. "Theres not much else to detail. I mean if you must know the details. I shattered both of Raima's shoulders with my horns, and vaporized the aggressor with a charged attack. Not much else to say."
His attention however would turn to the woman who was speaking to him. He stared at her for a few moments before speaking up. "Never seen you before in my life." He said with a shrug. He looked back to Sorrel. "Show me how this... Hotpot works."

This was a refreshing feeling for Sorrel. You see, years of being told you're worthless and disappointing can be quite taxing for one's esteem. As confident as his usual belligerent nature may have seemed, it was a front for the fragile Saiyan buried deep within. One that just wanted to feel appreciated.
"It's not that big of a deal, you two will probably catch on quick." He paused, smirking slightly. It wasn't a smug smirk, but the kind one gave when they had been so used to it that they had forgotten how to smile. He picked up his tongs for the two to see, and they would probably notice that they had access to their own. He then began applying strips of beef and balls of tofu to the broth, his expression lit with a youthful sort of joy. Although it was more effort than the typical burger joint, hot pot was therapeutic for Sorrel.
He opened his mouth to elaborate, only to find himself interrupted by the intrusion of a stranger. He wanted to say she was Heran, but her skin lacked the interesting pigmentation and her hair was not disgustingly bright. Wherever she hailed from, they didn't seem too keen on manners. But she was an interesting specimen, so interesting that Sorrel tilted his head to one side as he took in her details.
"I hope I'm not interrupting," he began dryly. It was but a dull poke compared to the lacerations his tongue was known to inflict. He continued in a much friendlier tone, "But are you from around here? Earth, that is."
She smelled human, but something was off about this one
