News of his abrupt arrival spread like wild-fire, and almost every citizen had a newspaper in their hand about the matter. The events of the Arcane Island and the downfall of a rather important kingdom raised the awareness of every militant affiliation. Guards were lined up on every border, equipped with arms and other destructive means. The ocean was home to thousands upon thousands of navy vessels, patrolling for any suspicious activity. The world was in a global lock down, only because of one particular individual. Drakath. You cannot go anywhere without hearing the name Drakath and it seemed as if his name alone convinced those with the same ideals as him to act up. With his arrival awoke the slumbered and the world was thrown into chaos. Plots against kings, presidents were as common as murder and most times, they were successful. Drakath had gotten what he desired; the fall of Rulers. However he was far from accomplishing his goal. What everyone did not know, was that he has been deceiving everyone. He pretended to hate rulers, and even convinced others to join his rather foolish ideals. He had the world in his hands, and with the same hand, he could crush the world instantly.
Foolish, to think they'd believe me on my conquest to dethrone every king under the heavens. Why be a king, when you could be a God? The unbearable vacancy of the throne seated on the summit of the world is over... For now, I will be sitting on it.
Drakath and his most trusted soldiers struck the shores of the Frozen North. No vegetation grew nor was any life allowed to flourish within the harsh conditions of the tundra. Any human who would happen to cross this deserted land would freeze instantly, but Drakath and his men were different. Effortlessly, they grazed the heavy snowed land and found themselves climbing a large mountain. His soldiers began to doubt their leader's actions but Drakath had a valid reason to why they were climbing the mountain. Before he even came up with his plans, he studied under archaeology. He was fascinated on how ancient civilizations were able to survive without the assistance of technology. While researching, Drakath came across an interesting civilization who lived within the very summit of the coldest mountains. The people believed in gaining a power higher than what is expected from them; the throne of God itself. They knew however, that this cannot be done in one lifetime, so they left out clues and such in their kingdom. Drakath pursued this kingdom for those clues as they shared a parallel goal. Maybe, it would help him in his journey to the the throne of the sky.
After a few hours, Drakath and his soldiers discovered a kingdom of pure white, with the snow enhancing its blinding light aura. He ordered his men to keep guard on the entrance, and he alone entered the kingdom. With a single step, the kingdom began to function as if it was brand new. Hieroglyphic-like writings etched upon the halls began to light up and the words were being sorted out from every corner of the kingdom. After a few bright flashes, the hieroglyphics formed sentences providing Drakath of what he needed to gain this power that he and this kingdom desired the most. As he continued to read, a silhouette formed behind the pillars of the halls. It was a projection of a man, long hair, pronounced cheeks, and a white uniform. With him assisted multiple people with the same matching uniform. The large man walked towards him and his projected hand phased through Drakath's face. He then spoke in a monotone, robotic-like voice.
I am Yhwach, and we here present ourselves to you as the Quincy. A power clan that longed for a power beyond that of human capability. Our quest to do so soon became our downfall. Our obsession with power controlled us, and we were forced to extinction by a particular kingdom, the same kingdom that you took down. Without them, we can work together and sit upon the throne of skies.
The hallow projection of the man turned and faced a massive wall. He pointed at it and spoke once more.
In that chamber is my body and my entire armada. By opening it, we will be brought back to life to regain what we lost. Go ahead..
Drakath was quiet by he surprisingly complied with the man's order. He walked to the large door and using his ki, blasted the door open with one good sweep. The lights of the chamber opened with the sound of the door creaking and multiple pods began to open. The last pod to open was in the middle and it was much larger than the rest. Silhouettes garbed with white arose from their slumber and were silent. The large man was no longer a projection, instead he was of flesh and blood. He walked oddly down the halls until he finally approached Drakath who stood quiet.
What is your name? Are you willing to join me and my conquest to the throne of God?
A blade instantly impaled the large man and he fell to his knees after a few heavy exhales. A cruciform broad sword was stuck in the man's heart and the excessive bleeding slowly depleted his life. The man screamed in anguish, Why?!
What makes you think that I would join your party and diminish myself into a mere soldier under your charge? I will not share the throne of skies to anyone but myself.
The man's party were shocked and instantly took action, blasting the area Drakath stood. In seconds, the kingdom was blown to rubble and Drakath's soldiers immediately arrived to their leader's aid. What they found was a pile of severed bodies and a bloodied Drakath sitting upon a broken throne. His hands were aching and his face was tattooed with pain. Despite his injuries, he smiled with confidence and spoke.
I am one step closer to my goal now. There is no one that can stop me anymore...
