Tess had already begun preparing a bowl before Sangu could answer her, she turned to face him as he spoke, "It's good to see such a protective friend you have there. It's different for me though, Tess. I am often the protector, rather than the protected." He chuckled, scratching the back of his head, Tess giggled softly, "In terms of relationship, he's honestly more like my son, that's why he always calls me, Ma."
Tess turned her head slightly as Vyrna's head popped into the doorway, Tess shook her head slightly as she heard Vyrna's hungry stomach, she handed her a big bowl then a small one, "Give that to King, would you, dear?" Then Tess lazily spun on around on her heel and leaned in the door way, holding her arms, "I really don't think he would know what to to without me. I mean," She let out a relaxed sigh, "He is only 5 years old, and still even calls me Mama at home." Home.
The thought of returning home after a long trip would be heavenly for most. Yet, for Tess the thought brought cold dread. Witch hunters would be crawling her forest home looking for her. Waiting for her. They were convinced she was the same as her mother, and her having to kill them to protect her own life only fueled their hateful cause. She resented that she enjoyed every moment of tearing them apart, that was not who she wanted to be....But wait.
Her opalescent blue eyes scanned over Sangu's body again, she carefully examined his muscular physique. He could possibly fight the hunters for her, she could bewitch him, but they were good people, maybe she only needed to give them a reason to fight for her. Maybe if the witch hunters are fought off by an unbewitched human, and she temporarily sealed her magic, she could fool them into thinking, the witch had not or possibly will not return. it would be incredibly risky to seal her magic, she would be utterly venerable. but it could work.
Tess gently closed the caravan door behind her as she walked up to Sangu, letting her hips move more freely, she placed a delicate pale hand on his large tattooed forearm, "So Sangu, How did you get your markings?" Then she gently traced the tattoos on his forearm as she slowly gazed up with bight eyes.
