Ace of Hearts Saga: New World, New Training |
Row 2 column 1 |
His welcome onto the Planet Namek hadn't gone exactly as planned. When we last left Sanguinis, he'd scared off the forces of Lord Cube as they had tried to bully a young Namekian child. He'd easily felled the three soldiers and had wondered exactly what made Cube recruit those three morons? They weren't powerful in the least bit and their skills left much to be desired. However, one did get a lucky shot in on him, which struck hard and left Sangu to pass out from blood loss. Despite the fact that he was resting comfortably, those dreams still came back to haunt him. Dreams of darkness, dreams of a young child murdering hundreds of people. Men, women, and child. The Ace of Diamonds past was like an old familiar ghost that haunted him in his adult life. But why? If he was an unwilling participant in the killings, why did he see this child in his dreams? The one with the murderous smile and blood stained hair. Jagstane watched the strange human as he tossed and turned on the small cot. It'd been a long while since the Namekian warrior had seen one of the Earthlings, and even longer since his little brother Fender had gone out of his way to help one of them. Fender blinked as the human groaned. "He must be exhausted, brother. He took those three aliens out without a problem. Needless to say, I owe him one." Jagstane said nothing, folding his arms across his chest and staring at the human. He'd had some bad experiences with this man's kind, and needless to say, he didn't trust the human. After all, he sported the very same tattoos as the woman who lorded her power over the Eastern Village. She'd had his people erect a monument of a rather ugly looking Arcosian. This didn't sit well with Jagstane at all. "Pft. If he died, I say good riddance. These aliens are no good, Fender. Did you not see what they did to that one village? Abomination." Fender sighed as he changed the bandages, shaking his head. He'd seen first hand that this human was not evil. On top of that, he was almost as powerful as his big brother, Jagstane. If anyone could defeat the mean alien woman, the team of Sangu and Jagstane could do it. He looked up at his big brother. "Please brother, he saved my life! Those guys were coming to kill me, and he kicked their butts in awesome fashion!" "Bah." Jagstane started, unconvinced. The human was untested in his eyes. "And I'm the Grand Elder! If he's SO great, why then is he laying here with a mortal wound? It's a sign of weakness, a true warrior never stops!" Meanwhile, another dream sequence would hit the restless Sangu. Dream Sequence A peaceful village on an unknown planet, somewhere in interplanetary space. Little grey skinned children run about the small buildings, flying kites and giggling. Females stand near a roaring white river, washing fabric in it's waters, and the fathers chop logs in half on tree stumps. All and all, it was a pleasant dream. Suddenly, the Heavenly and peaceful scene is rocked by a set of huge explosions. The small buildings collapse under their own weight. Screams fill the air and the rivers run red with blood. A reflection is seen in the water...a child with messy red hair, his face stained with sticky blood. The sky turns red, and the child's lips curl upward into a sinister grin. The child snickers. Meanwhile Jagstane narrowed his eyes. One thing that he was capable of which his brother was not was the ability to sense ki. He could feel an ominous ki coming closer to the small white hut he and his brother lived in. He growled and looked at Fender. "Stay here, brother. Those morons are back, probably looking for..." he pointed a sharp fingernail at the ailing Sanguinis. "...him!" Before exiting their small home, dissappearing. Fender sighed. His brother always was the one to fight first and ask questions later. As for Sangu, he'd yet to awaken from the deep slumber he'd fallen into. The young Namekian grabbed a small, wet white cloth and wipes sweat from the Earthling's tattooed forehead. "There there, sir...just relax...my brother will take care of this one..." "..." The Namekian warrior stood strong, his beady black eyes wandering over the five aliens. It was a tense situation to be sure, the wind blowing a stray tumbleweed in between the group and the namek. Finally, the Namek spoke. "...well? What do you want?" "Is it not obvious what we came for, you pickle?" The swing leader of the five laughed. You'd guessed that they were there for the Earthling, but no. You see, Jagstane and Fender were survivors of the Eastern Village who'd survived the attack of Domino and her men. "This land belongs to Lady Domino now, in the name of Lord Cube!" Upon the mention of Cube, the Earthling began to twitch and move. He winced in his sleep, back arching up off the bed, his sweat pouring down off of his forehead. The poor man was feverish, and Fender wiped more sweat from his forehead. "Please sir...please calm down...rest..." the good hearted young Namek found itself concerned for the safety of Sanguinis. Jagstane growled at the leader of the group, cracking his knuckles. "Over my dead body, you oaf. This is my father's land, and you can't have it!" The demonic alien snickered and grinned evilly. "As you wish, Namek. If you won't leave this land, then I guess we will have no choice but to make you leave..." the alien laughed maniacally. "...permanently!" The situation grew quite dire as the entire group trained their sights on the heroic namek warrior. Sangu's tossing and turning intensified, and Fender frowned. Would he wake up in time to help Jagstane? Would Fender be able to help him? Find Out Next Time |
