Polara blinked slowly, walking around the forest with a rather curious expression. Having finally found her son, she had decided to explore the planet her son had been inhabiting for so long. The amount of green, blue, and overall color surprised the black and white Arcosian. Swishing her tail slowly, she continued to walk along the path, looking around and attempting to take everything in. Her eyes took in the lush colors, and her midnight blue bio-gems glinted slightly in the light.
(New character, give me a break xD Thread PL: 2,936. Form: Suppressed.)
A large forest north to where the Lookout is, filled with all kinds of vegetation and wildlife. Home to sacred ninja and samurai clans, however, also home to Kaito's best friend Gnash. In fact, this place had taken the human back. This was where he'd met people who'd change his life completely. This, where Kaito last stepped before he went to Namek. Fun times and Kaito would like to reminisce about them, however, he had to enjoy this casual stroll with a blank and easy-going mind.
Earlier this day Kaito chose to walk over this area in a whim. Maybe because he liked the environment or he wanted to meet this place tigers, it could be anything. Whistling and carelessly jogged across the forest, filling his healthy lungs with as much clear oxygen as possible. The weather was very convenient, not too hot, and not too cold. Perfect training circumstances, it seemed.
Kaito would love to carry his jogging on, but he had to slow down and eventually stop on the spot once he'd sense a nearby power level. Foreign ki, that is. It wasn't that threatening but it still needed a check-out. Whether it was a foe or not, Kaito had to exchange a word or two with them. Turning his neck to where the source was, Kaito launched himself as a human torpedo and arrived in the desired destination in a matter of seconds.
"Whaaaa! A giant lizard... oh, no..."
This was the second time he had witnessed an Arcosian actually. Regardless, he always mixes them up by calling them lizards. Well, giant lizards. And these creatures didn't really get offended when Kaito did so, just like Core. The child arcosian in fact blushed and laughed when Kaito called him that. But what would this white and black Arcosian's reaction be?

Polara continued to walk along, looking at the beautiful scenery, and admitting it was indeed pretty. Her footsteps crunched on some tiny twigs underfoot on the path, but she really didn't seem to care. The mother Arcosian continued her walk, breathing gently and evenly. She heard another noise nearby, pausing and using her ki senses in that general direction, she noticed a much larger power level than average, or at least what she had sensed so far. Getting a little wary, she prepared to be attacked.
Out of sheer surprise, the Arcosian took a step back at the human torpedo that was Kaito. Getting slightly miffed at the thought of her being a lizard, she corrected the human with a blank, low tone to her voice. "I am not a giant lizard. I am an Arcosian. Might I ask exactly what you are doing here? And why you called me a lizard?" She replied, swishing her tail slowly. Her face guard was down, and her tone, body stance, nor ki was hostile.
Naturally, the Arcosian was a little surprised from all that scene. She'd step back a little bit after Kaito came like an arrow to only stop and land few meters in front of Polara. From what Kaito could make out from those static expressions of her, she was a little offended from what Kaito called her. He listened to her low and soft tone correcting him. The arcosian seemed rather calm and collected, pretty much unlike how Kaito imagines Arcosians to be.
"Uh-huh... Yeah, sorry. I tend to call your race that." Kaito said that casually, yet again hoping that she wouldn't take offense. He continued with a static voice which wavered a little bit due to picking the right words. "I... uh, well, I was simply taking a walk around these beautiful lands of this forest, and found it perfect to hold a training session myself. As to why I called you a lizard..." Kaito raised his thumb and index finger and stroked his chin. He contemplated a little bit by abstractly staring down below the grassy ground before replying. "I guess that's the first thing that comes to your mind when people see your kind...? Don't get me wrong, you guys are extraordinarily strong. I can confirm that via a friend of mine, that little punk is incredibly strong! So I'd be wise enough to not get on your bad side."
Kaito chortled while sighing in a relieved manner. He locked his brown hues on the shiny white and black frame of the arcosian again. "What about you? What are you doing here?"

Polara looked at Kaito, examining the male from head to toe, noting his power and deciding not to get on his nerves. She had no real intention of doing it anyways. She flicked her tail dismissively, shrugging once. "That is fine. Just giving you a future reference guide." Noticing the waver in his voice, Polara's didn't skip a beat and remained the static, low and soft tone from before. Her stance didn't skip a beat either, and she remained calm. "Ah. A training session... Something I find amusing in my spare times." She replied, shrugging slightly again.
Watching Kaito stare down at the ground, stroking his chin, she quirked a brow slightly. "I have yet to be called a lizard by anyone but you, so its a new thing for me. I wouldn't say I am that strong, honestly. I'm pretty weak compared to most Arcosians. I really should step my game up. As for introductions, my name is Polara Thermia. It is best if call me Thermia, I do not like being called by my first half. I am simply taking a walk, and looking around at the scenery of the planet that has housed my son Defrosch for years." She replied, her voice still smooth and calm, not skipping a beat.
Kaito noted the frequency of Thermia wagging her tail and shrugging, maybe she liked to do that. She also said that she liked training in the leisure time, however, that wasn't how you do it at all. Kaito didn't like the fact that she'd take training seriously only in her spare time; it went against the human's beliefs. According to him, a warrior should dedicate most of his lifetime to training and get stronger, but this was none of Kaito's business. He'd just met the Arcosian and it seemed that she was interesting in her own way.
Thermia introduced herself and asked Kaito not to call by her first name. She apparently didn't like that due to personal reasons and Kaito sure wasn't going to ask her something like that. Thermia regrettably told Kaito that she wasn't that strong compared to other characters of her race, and she was quite right. Regardless, Kaito wanted to encourage the female Arcosian, but first he'd needed to remember his manners and introduce himself.
"Nice to meet you, Thermia. I'm called Kaito Zen and come from the Southern Islands. Oh, don't worry about your power, at all. You will get up there, just have patience. Patience, and hard work. These two aspects are the best virtues one should have."
Much like Kaito, Thermia was taking a walk. However, the way she addressed to this place was rather weird. Granted that she was extraterrestrial, but it looked like she had spent very little time on Earth. She'd also mentioned that she was a mother to another Arcosian named Defrosch, someone Kaito had never heard of nevertheless.
"That's pretty nice to hear. Awaiting a mother-son reunion, are we? I'll be sure to witness such an emotional moment."

Polara really didn't take training very seriously, and her tail swished behind her slowly. She had been a General in the AE army previously, but after the demise of Arcose, had been looking for her son for almost a year. Noting the small tension of his muscles, she quirked her brow. "Is there something frustrating or confusing you?" She replied curiously
She really didn't care whether or not she was the strongest, thus did not take the training she did seriously unless she was bored and needed something to do. She was content with her subpower energy levels, and she figured he could probably tell her power level. Regardless, she nodded once to Kaito, noting his voice in the air, listening to what he had to say. Strangely, she was a patient, cool-headed Arcosian. "Is it alright to simply call you Kaito, or should I call you Zen. I'm not worried about my power level at all, I'm content to stay like this. I have had no real need to get stronger, or a want to become that way."
The Arcosian had only spent a day on this world, and as a result was unfamiliar with the landscape and other life, along with the people and species on this world. "I have already met my son, but thank you for the comments." She replied evenly, thumping her tail slightly on the ground out of curiosity to see Kaito's reaction.
Kaito blinked and stared blankly at the Arcosian's question. He was neither doing any of strange movement so that question was kinda random.
"Uhh? What? Not really, no." Kaito replied, tilting his head from side to side to have a clear mind again.
Kaito put his arms in front of his chest in an "x" fashion and further waited for Thermia's responses. He was enjoying this little conversation so she was having his full attention. Kaito was surprised a little bit at hearing her saying that she doesn't want to progress, and rather would stay this way instead. Kaito wasn't the one to judge anyway. Thermia also asked him how'd he want to be called.
"Well, since everyone calls me Kaito, I'm kind of used with this name. And come to think of it, calling me Zen sounds a bit of weird, so definitely Kaito!" - He said monotonically, his brown hues still locked at Thermia.
The fact that she'd already met her son came off as a sweet revelation to Kaito. It must have been a very emotional and notable reunion after all these years, he'd thought. Kaito reminisced about his younger years in Tora Village, and his moments with his mother. Kaito's love for her was infinite and he still visits his home from time to time to pay her a visit. The laws of nature are all universal. All beings, despite race, get to enjoy this amazing feeling and bond between a son and a mother. Interested on how'd the meeting had developed, Kaito asked Thermia with a soft tone.
"How'd your son's reaction be? And did you two shed any tears?"

Polara watched Kaito, quirking a brow slightly. She watched him cross his arms, and swished her tail from side to side behind her. "I have just had little to no need for power.. thus I don't have much to train for, or about. I've been roaming the galaxy for almost a year, since the destruction of Arcose by the Saiyans. Since I've found my son, I'm planning to stay here, hopefully to stay close by my son." She sighed, shaking her head.
"Doesn't look like I will be very.. well-received here. You came out like a I don't know what from the undergrowth." Polara seemed confused, twitching her right hand slightly, while keeping that calm, soft tone. She seemed to be easily controlling her emotions, and a hidden potential was lurking within her, she could very well become a great warrior for Earth, if she had inclination, or encouragement..
Thermia explained why she rarely bothered to train, and Kaito nodded as a means of him understanding her. "Fair enough. Though, don't you think there will come a time when you'd need your own powers to survive in this world?" Kaito asked a hypothetical question. He also got informed on the SSE being the cause of the Arcosian Empire's destruction. Kaito peeled his teeth backward and showed an angered expression. His hatred for the wicked Saiyans was growing more and more vivid as he got to know more about their evil deeds.
He sighed loudly and narrowed his eyes. "I feel sorry to hear that. I can't believe that those stupid monkeys are going as far as destroying your race's empire. It must be hard for you, but the fact that you're here and with your son can make up for it. Still, the loss of your other loved ones must hurt, but take it easy." His fists clenched, Kaito furrowed his eyebrows. "I am- no, we are going to stop the Saiyan Solar Empire. We, as in the Galactic Patrol. In case you're wondering, it's an organization established by a man called Beryl Roarke. Me being part of it allows me to fight with all my might against those wicked clowns."
"They hinted they're coming for this planet soon enough. That's why I'm training every day to stand up against them. And I think you should take this as an encouragement to get stronger and not rely on others' power. I suppose you don't want to allow a second destruction of your home if you feel like calling Earth your home, that is."
Kaito listened to what she other had to say. Apparently the Arcosian wasn't very sure how will she be received in here, and for that, she was feeling weak-willed. Kaito chuckled as to assure her that that wasn't going to be a thing. Racism wasn't really a serious matter nowadays, given the massive biodiversity on Earth recently. Kaito apologized once again for the earlier incident when he called her a lizard and promised that if others would call her that, they would have to deal with Kaito.

Polara looked at Kaito with a slight frown on her face. She nodded slightly, acknowledging his words. "I guess this is true. But in all honesty, what driving force is left if you have a dead husband and two dead sons. I'm happy Defrosch is even alive, he left 7 years ago and the destruction of Arcose only just now let me finally seek out my son." She sighed slightly, noting Kaito's rather angry expression. "I'm not against all Saiyans, or any other race really, only the select individuals that are complete jackasses." She shakes her head, tail thumping on the ground.
Hearing Kaito sigh, she quirked a brow again and continued to listen. This entire time her body stance had remained blank and neutral. She easily saw his fists clench and furrowed brows, having really sharp eyesight. "Yeah, they are the reason. I'm glad Defrosch is even alive, I worried for 7 years that he was killed. Do you know how much that hurts? To worry for years and not be able to go sate the worries because duties forced you otherwise? Galactic Patrol... I wonder if they have Arcosians in it." She replied, curiosity lacing her tone as she drew a hand up to her chin, stroking it slightly like Kaito had done.
At the mention of the SSE coming for Earth soon, she snapped her head towards Kaito, a slight snarl appearing on her lips. "Those.. those bastards.. GRRRRRRRR....." Polara was getting worked up, and as a result started to give off a large amount of energy. A navy blur aura surrounded the Arcosian, and she continued to growl in rage. "I forbid the destruction of this world by their hands, I will not allow for this to happen." She growled, putting her hands to her temples and calming herself down. The bio-gems she had were glowing with a navy blue light, before the glow died off, along with her aura, and she calmed down.
Relieved to note at least there wasn't racism, and at the mention of biodiversity she became curious. Having never really left Arcose, she was in a completely new setting, one with actual life, vegetation, and bio-diversity. She chuckled slightly noting Kaito's chuckle, and nodded at his apology. "No worries, I harbor no ill wills. But now, with this information, I need to get stronger. You may be far stronger than me, but I wish to spar with you."
Kaito was mentally prepared for whatever thing Polara would say next regarding her race going extinct. He sympathized with her while understanding her problems, even though Kaito hadn't experienced any loss so far. Kaito's face expressions radiated from sadness to desperation; the human was putting himself in Polara's shoes. Kaito slightly declined his eyes while looking at Polara.
"I understand your sorrow, Polara. I feel sorry for your losses and I hope the latest memory you have of them was a happy one..." Kaito was carefully picking the right words. "Don't lose your hopes completely. At least you have your son, Defrosch. I'm sure he will be able to fill the hole in your heart. Speaking of your son, it sounds like he was quite lucky not to get involved in the mass murder of the Arcosian Empire. Where is he located exactly, right now?"
What Polara said about the Saiyans was very true. Kaito wasn't thinking straight when he said all Saiyans were scum, no, some of them were cool. He also had a very good Saiyan friend, Riku, and another friend Corn. Those two people actually gave hope to Kaito regarding the Saiyan race. If more Saiyans were like that, then that would be one of the greatest things to happen to the universe. Thus, Kaito simply nodded as a means of acknowledging what she said.
Polara continued to rack her brains over her loss and then asked whether there were Arcosians in the Galactic Patrol as she directed her hand up to her chin, similarly to Kaito earlier. Kaito faintly involuntary was surprised and thought for a second.
"Oh, yeah, there is one!" Kaito replied. "We have a young Arcosian child called Core Stold. He's pretty strong, though, stronger than most of us. I think he will be pretty happy to meet you and your son if he hasn't met him already."
Soonish, a navy blue aura started encircling Polara. Seemingly, what Kaito said about the SSE coming to Earth had caused that. This left the human a little bit at awe actually, Polara sure had the warrior spirit, and that's what Kaito liked to see from the start. It was amusing seeing every person getting infuriated at the mention of the Saiyans. They sure were one loathed race around here, and that was understandable. Polara continued to growl and further display her primal characteristics.
Polara may be a mother, but as someone who holds responsibility, she needed to get stronger. She realized that sitting back and doing nothing but to see your friends getting killed would be the worst thing ever. The female arcosian had experienced it in the past, so it wasn't a new occurrence to her. In order to get stronger, though, you needed to exercise and put every living cell of your organism into those efforts. Kaito would faintly nod at her request to spar with him. He raised his index finger up when she worried about his power level being too high.
"Sure, I will spar with you. I can always suppress my powers."
With a clap of his hands, you couldn't feel Kaito's powers be as vibrant. He now roughly had the same power level as Polara and beckoned her to come at him.

Polara simply shook her head. "I do not know where he is as of now, we had a brief meeting as I didn't want to make him too uncomfortable.. Defrosch was chased off by my husband Sleete while they were fighting seven years ago, he used a random pod to escape. I tried to stop him, tried to grab onto the pod to prevent the loss of my son, but it was too late.." She sighed quietly, tail tip twitching irritably. She had to put up her face guard to hide the small tears trickling from her eyes. She was getting slightly upset, but managed to snap herself back to the conversation.
"An Arcosian CHILD, Stronger than you? Impressive. We have different forms, each one boosting our strength. I dislike transforming, preferring to stay in my regular form." Polara rolled her head, popping emanating from her neck as she got in a fighting stance. Lashing her tail, she gave a small smirk. "Shall we begin?" She spoke, before charging out of nowhere at Kaito, kicking up a dusty storm with her tail to attempt to get behind him and kick him right in the lower back.
She definitely had pride hidden under her cool, calm persona, and it was definitely showing now in a fighting situation. She noted how his ki suddenly dropped immensely and was much closer to her own. Smiling slightly, having put up her face guard, her eyes were dead serious, and she was ready for a counter-strike by flying back and getting in a defensive stance, waiting for Kaito's move.
Kaito listened to Polara revealing more about her son.
"Well, it sounds like he had had a blind luck to actually escape your home planet and come here on Earth. He is at a much better place here, anyway, now that you're with him too."
However, remembering the mere moments of how hard the times used to be, Polara began undergoing an emotional breakdown. Tears fell down her dark skin, but she tried to cover them up by placing her face guard. It made Kaito think of how aliens tended to be more "human" than some humans. Arcosians cared about their family and their hometown just as much as the average human did. Kaito found this feature to be impressive in the Arcosians' stead.
Kaito bounced up and down for a few times to get more used to the surroundings while tilting his neck from side to side to crack any rusty bones. His brown hues enthusiastically looked over the female Arcosian. The human was actually excited that he was getting to fight an arcosian, he never really got to test one. Kaito's battle stance wasn't very special nowadays; just a basic boxer stance where his clenched fists were directed forward and legs bent a bit. The human preferred to always have a shifted down stance in order to have a better and bigger range available to move in case the situation calls.
"I'm ready whenever you are!"
The female arcosian didn't hesitate but take move. She swiftly flickered her tail to raise up some dust in order to obscure Kaito's vision and used this to her advantage to get to Kaito's back and attempting to hit around his lower back area. The human was no amateur when it came to battles. With a simple outburst of his body, he let out a considerable amount of aura which pushed the dust storm along with Polara back, not allowing her to have her way. The human slightly smirked at seeing Polara failing at her plan, and decided to take the upper hand. He'd heat his Ki up and rush towards the Arcosian. Should his fist connect with any body part of Polara, a maelstrom of fire would take place; severely wounding the mother Arcosian.
Post by Polara Thermia on Apr 24, 2016 0:22:26 GMT
Polara got flung back by the aura, flying back and shaking her head after connecting her skull with the trunk of a tree, causing the tree to fall over. She got up, stinging slightly from the ki burn, and held a particularly nasty burn spot on her shoulder. Growling slightly in anger, her eyes glowed with a navy blue light, firing two beams directly at Kaito's shoulders, aiming to knock them out of the picture, or disturb his fire. She then folded her hands behind her back, flopping backwards and shooting for Kaito's legs in the blink of an eye.
Thermia did not want to transform. she HATED transforming with a passion. However, it seemed like Kaito would push her that far. She tried to restrain herself from transforming, and was successful, staying in her suppressed form. She had her mouth guard up, and her eyes suddenly turned blank and lifeless, cold as she let go of her emotions to focus on the strategies and movements of Kaito. Flicking her tail again to create a large wind by rotating it in a circular motion much like the blade of a helicopter, it didn't create lift nor push her, as she used the wind to her advantage to suddenly spin her body so the wind blew directly at Kaito.
Spinning to face him again, her face guard was up still, and she wasn't speaking at all. Rather she kept a blank face. She waited for Kaito's next move, to hopefully counteract the next move of Kaito by watching his stance and how he would enact it.
