Cado
TITLE.
Cado kept walking alone the sand stone road that left the main city of Ocariin. It was long and winding off into the desert horizon. People of Planet Konats usually used the road to travel between other villages that lined the desert floor, or to travel to the Kashvar villages and fortress. There had been tales that the Kashvar would kidnap and do hideous experiments on the konatians. Creating monsters, and mutations among people, then releasing them out into the desert to either survive or die.
Once Cado had put the city behind him, he passed a caravan traveling along the road. The driver was dark, and hidden under a hooded robe. Cado paid them no attention as they passed. He didn’t care at the moment anyways. The only thing on his mind at the moment was what to do next. The caravan stopped and out of the back, a door opened. Out jumped 4 other hooded figures. Cado turned around quickly but before he could even move, or even run. He was frozen in place. The driver of the caravan had done stood up and used the wizardry magic upon Cado’s body, freezing him in place. The others ran to him, each on grabbing a limb and carrying him into the back of the caravan and closing the door.
Once they arrived where they was taking him, they unloaded Cado into a dark room. It was complete darkness, to the point he had no idea who or what was around him. His body still unable to move at the point. He felt himself laid upon a table and strapped down. He had a strap and buckle on each wrist. He had one across his waist, and one on each ankle holding him down now as they released the spell off his body. He started to struggle trying to pull free from his bindings, but it wasn’t worth it. He was not strong enough to even budge them.
It wasn’t long, but it felt like hours had passed while lying in the dark room before anyone came forth. The lamps along the wall burned to life, giving off a low hue ,lighting the place up just enough to barely see. The wizards glanced closer at Cado’s face. He could hear them mumbling amongst each other, hearing them find out he was not a konatian and what to do with him. “test him” They said, “ Test the resilience of his body. See if he can handle it. If it kills him, so what, he has to die anyways, he cannot be left to tell about this.”
One turns to face cado, “The great human race, How they have managed to be a dominate race among the universe, we shall never know. Being so weak amongst the others, but yet surpassing and surviving everything that they have encountered.” Cado just looked up at the hooded figure and told him to let him go. That’s all Cado wanted , to be let go. His whole life he had heard the stories, and avoided the likely hood of crossing paths with the Kashvar.
The wizards stood back as the one who had been giving the orders stood at the side of Cado’s table he was lying on. He raised his hand and started to chant. An eerie feeling passed over Cado and soon fear would strike through his body. His breathing got heavy and mind clouded. He started to panic and pull at his restraints. The wizards magic starts to erupt around him. Electricity enshrouds the table. The test upon his body seems to be the pain and damage that he can manage. How much can he handle before he passes out or either dies.
Cado grits his teeth, and clenches his fist tightly. The pain is surging through his body and you can hear his screams . His eyes are closed and he can hear the wizards laughing as they put more and more electricity through him. Quickly though Cado’s Ki burst forth from around his body. A full powered Barrier pushes out in all directions, destroying the table he was lying on, and knocking the wizards back against the wall. Even though their magic was strong, their bodies are not and the force put against them knocked them out on impact.
Cado lays there on the floor a moment to recover, before he realizes what has happened, he staggers to his feet, and limps his way to a door. Hoping to soon enough find his way out, he hides in the shadows of the walls and statues avoiding any Kashvar he can. Finally he makes it to a window jumps out landing on the ground. He kneels a moment before jumping into the air and flying off. Flying by the moon light he searches for any type of land mark that could point him into the direction of his home.
After a short time, he grew tired. He landed upon the desert floor and staggered over to a small body of water, that contained a few trees and bushes. He crawled over getting himself a drink of water. Then Cado would settled down under the bushes, giving himself some cover before falling asleep. Hopefully a short nap would replenish his energy.
