Alexander gave a small sound as he sat at a small table outside of the Morning Star Academy, looking rather...unenthused. He had been talked into working the outside of the perimeter of the school today, meaning to keep anyone who wasn't supposed to be on the property, off the property. Fighters were fine as long as they were worth anything, and they wanted to enroll. But beyond that, adults and others were not allowed. Granted, not a whole lot of people really came out here, which made this the absolutely most boring shift for all of the Monitors.
He leaned back in the chair, his fingers loosely wrapped around a pencil which he'd taken to tapping on the notebook that Jazz had given him. Taking notes was the most important thing he could do as a Hall Monitor, but he really didn't enjoy writing that absolutely nothing was happening every fifteen minutes. The air outside was relatively nice, and a good, even temperature that didn't really bother him too much, even with the heavy weighted coat he wore. His eyes closed for a moment as he focused his thoughts inward, attempting to at least get something done.
His thoughts drifted back to when he'd last met She Who Watches, and his right arm tingled as a result. The Void clung to him now like a bad smell, and he knew that the more time that he spent utilizing the Void, the more it would continue to suffuse his being. But he didn't mind- the power that was coming with it was nothing short of amazing. He felt like he had no upper limit, no cap to his strength and his power...and he enjoyed each movement toward that. The woman (if she was indeed truly a woman. She was definitely feminine, but beyond that, she was too alien for him to comprehend) had a strange level of attraction that always drew his thoughts back to her.
Despite himself, a burst of void emanated from his right arm then, and he opened his eyes in slight surprise. “That's...unusual,” he murmured to himself, watching his arm as the power continued to flare outward slightly. He wondered, vaguely, if She Who Watches was attempting to contact him, rather than the other way around. He didn't really have time, at the moment, to focus on trying to reach out and speak with her. His gaze flickered around, wanting to try and see if he could get away from where he was for a moment.
She'd had a strange hold on him, forcing his thoughts to always return to her whenever he hadn't kept a tight leash on them. So now that the strange burst of energy was coming through, Alexander's mind had immediately rushed to that possibility, and he wasn't even certain if it was the case. But the irrationality of it all was immediately rationalized with him, and he wanted to see her. Needed to. The thought caused uncomfortable feelings to well up within him and he gave a low growl, forcing anything outside of the cold mask of placidity on his features away, returning them to the calm, even expression, even as his inner thoughts and emotions were awhirl of turmoil.
His gaze flickered up, noting that there was someone standing out on the outskirts of the school's property. He exhaled. Good. That would give him something else to focus his thoughts on for awhile. Even still, he was likely still going to go and speak with her tonight once class was out and the gravity room was opened.
Standing from the table, he began to make his way toward the outskirts. “Hey. Can I help you?” he called out to the stranger.
